Hitting a San Francisco Giants Home Game? Here Are the Best Places to Eat and Drink Near Oracle Park | Eater SF

"This tiny shop hides in an alley and most out-of-the-loop coffee drinkers would walk right on by in search of an outpost from one of the familiar multinationals. They’d regret that — the coffees on deck at this multiroaster are straight heat, showing Amsterdam favorite Dak Coffee Roasters alongside house specials including pineapple orange cold brew. Pastries come from Saltwater Bakeshop, Compagnon, and Bake Sum, too." - Paolo Bicchieri

The 18 Best Coffee Shops In San Francisco

"You could easily walk by Golden Goat Coffee and miss it—the tiny coffee shop is tucked away in a SoMa alley. But once you wander up to the minimalist goat outlined on the window, you’ll be rewarded with some of the most inventive espresso drinks in town. Seasonal drinks are on deck, like ube lattes or an orange cinnamon cappuccino that tastes like gulping back a winter candle from Le Labo. Or you can go for the eponymous Golden Goat latte with goat milk and turmeric. It’s an in-and-out operation, so take your espresso to South Park or swing by on your way to a high-rise downtown. Heads up: they’re closed Sundays." - julia chen 1, lani conway, ricky rodriguez, patrick wong

Golden Goat Coffee - Review - Soma - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"You could easily walk by Golden Goat Coffee and miss it—the tiny coffee shop is tucked away in a SoMa alley. But once you wander up to the minimalist goat outlined on the window, you’ll be rewarded with some of the smoothest, strongest espresso drinks in town. Seasonal drinks are on deck, like ube lattes or an orange cinnamon cappuccino that tastes like gulping back a winter candle from Le Labo (in a good way). Or you can go for the eponymous Golden Goat latte with goat milk and turmeric. It’s an in-and-out operation, so take your espresso to the nearby South Park or swing by on your way to a high-rise downtown. Heads up: they’re closed Sundays." - Julia Chen

Google
Golden Goat Coffee Shop is tucked away in an alley—easy to miss, but absolutely worth finding. I ordered their signature Golden Goat drink, made with goat’s milk, and was surprised by how good it was. The baristas were friendly and welcoming, adding to the experience. A fun and unique spot to try out.

Google
Unique for San Francisco barista-run and loved shop. They carry the world and US recognized and unique roasters and do an amazing job pulling drinks out of them. I would absolutely stop by to try something new or pick up a bag. I tried a couple drinks there: a highly balanced but nicely medium in intensity filter; and a very cool acidity forward Kenya single origin espresso. I appreciated espresso the most, it is so challenging to pull such a bright yet coherent shot while maintaining the intensity for espresso.

Google
Golden Goat Coffee is a must-visit spot in a SoMa alley that’s quickly becoming San Francisco's coffee scene darling. This tiny, cozy gem may have limited seating, but it makes up for it with killer espresso drinks and a seriously friendly vibe. The crew here doesn’t just serve up fantastic coffee; they’re genuinely cool people. I tried the orange blossom cappuccino, and it was a flavor explosion—rich, tasty, and totally satisfying. Plus, their baked goods and tea are on point, and the latte art is straight-up Instagram-worthy. If you’re in the area, Golden Goat is a total win.

Google
This is a quick pick-up-and-go coffee place (there isn’t really anywhere to be seated inside or outside apart from waiting for your drink to be served at the counter). Their drink options are great though, they have many seasonal specialty drinks and flavors you can add. Their menu certainly shows creativity. You can purchase bags of their coffee, too, I think they sell whole bean. I’ll be back again for sure!

Google
What a treat! I didn't get his name but he was so welcoming and easy to talk to. I got the namesake drink which includes goat milk and he asked me in advance if I had it before and warned me about the unique flavor. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Beautiful smooth texture just enough honey and lovely rich espresso. The goat milk gave a bit of grassy flavor like goat cheese (I guess that makes sense!) but very soft. This is not a chill and work for a while space. It's off the beaten path with just enough room to wait for your coffee with a couple benches inside and outside, but well worth the stop. Tiny little operation so hours can be uncertain so give their instagram a peak before heading over.

Google
Must go!!! This place is worth a detour. Excellent Barrister. Choice of many different great beans / roasters. Awesome machine. This place is the real deal. SF. just got another up-runner for the best espresso place. (Coffee Movement watch out). Seriously - this place is amazing. They have a single dose grinder and they will test out different espresso beans. The menu does not show but go there and ask what they have. Moreover - look at the gear. You know - they do QUALITY ESPRESSO - real craft.

Google
While I'm on the run from my many pursuers and enemies, this place gives me just the pick me up I need to escape. I'd be remiss to not mention how goated the coffee here is. It literally had me bouncing off the walls and yet the good, golden, shining workers here took it in stride as I destroyed their bathroom and their establishment by running through it during a chase. Even though they close at 3, I could spend all day just peeking at their windows, admiring the glory of their store. To know that I am welcome and accepted and loved despite my perhaps off-putting appearance and behaviour is a testament to the quality of this establishment. I cannot wait to go back and look forward to being invited in with open arms and warm, steaming, frothy hearts. They have inspired me to open my own restaurant—stop by on the slim chance you can find it…

Google
Delicious honey lavender latte to be had here in South Park. Daughter and I just visited the first time on our way through the city. Line out the door at 1pm. Latte had just the right amount of foam and not too sweet. Chocolate chip cookie was very tasty.

Yelp
Although I'm still scoping to find the best coffeeshop in the Bay, Golden Goat is definitely one of the higher ones on my list. Although I didn't get to taste their unadulterated espresso, I did get to taste a shot in my flat white with oatmilk...my go-to espresso based beverage at any coffeeshop. Although I can't accurately assess how the shot was due to the milk, what did come through was a bright and clean shot in the flat white, which definitely aligns with my personal preferences. The baristas were personable and friendly, in spite of there always being a line out the door--a testament to this place's popularity! My favorite small touch: the ceramic ware handmade by one of the baristas who works there...they were so cute and I wish I could have gotten my hands on those one-of-a-kind sets!

Yelp
Cutest and tiniest coffee shop in SF! I live a few blocks away from here, so I go here pretty often. I have literally never seen a smaller coffee shop. Tucked away at the back of an alley, this unassuming coffee shop serves some creative beverages. Their coffee is delicious, but I've realized its flavor is less potent than the coffee I get at Bluestone Lane or Blue Bottle. Hence, I usually get a cappuccino in 2% milk to find the perfect balance of aromatic espresso with milk to tone down the bitterness and acidity. They also have unique flavors such as "honey lavender" or "orange cardamom" which are rotated on a monthly (or quarterly?!) basis. The orange cardamom cappuccino is delicious, albeit a bit too sweet for me personally. Golden Goat is right next to South Park, so one can enjoy their coffee while talking a walk through the tiny little park nearby.

Yelp
I was intrigued to hear that they use goat milk in their drinks, so I stopped by while I was passing through the area. It's easy to miss it since it's actually off to the side of the street in an alley (not exactly where Google Maps directs you to). One page of the menu lists the main coffee and tea offerings, and the other page lists what I assume are special drinks: passionfruit jasmine iced tea, grapefruit espresso tonic, orange cinnamon cappuccino, pandan banana matcha, and passionfruit matcha tonic. The barista did not understand my question since I was trying to figure out what was the "famous" drink here (if there is such a thing) so I opted to get the latte, iced, with goat milk. However, I did get confirmation from the barista that for any of the other special drinks, you can choose to add goat milk. After I ordered, my drink was prepared within a minute. (Sadly my name was misspelled, but I know they probably guessed off of sound) As someone who perceives most bitter flavors (including coffee) as even more bitter than the average person, I was disappointed that I could really only taste the bitter coffee flavor and could not really make out the turmeric or distinguish a difference in flavor from goat milk compared to cow milk, which was what I had been hoping for when reading reviews prior to coming here. But I may not have ordered the correct drink to get one that contains turmeric in it. Overall, I felt $7 is rather steep for a drink of this size and that my expectations had been too high. However, I'd still be curious to try some of their specials and it may just be that I didn't get one of their tastiest drinks.

Yelp
I literally could not stop thinking about the Pandan Banana Matcha, so I had to try it! The cafe is super tiny and inside an alleyway, so I parked inside the South Park culdesac nearby. I knocked off a star for the odd location and the fact that the matcha was a bit grainy, but the combination of flavors was amazing -- it kind of reminded me of a kaya toast! I love how they have unique seasonal drinks, and they just opened up hours on Saturday as well.

Yelp
Golden Goat Coffee closes at 3 PM, and I was lucky enough to be their last customer this past Thursday. I took an Uber to get here on time and it was definitely worth it. Even on a random Thursday afternoon, there was a line to order a drink. After talking to a few folks in line, I was told that the goat milk based latte can be a hit or miss depending on your preference for goat milk. GOLDEN GOAT LATTE - 7 I knew I had to get this because when will I ever get to try goat milk latte? Goat milk latte is interesting, and it was a hit for me. I liked that it was almost... cheesy? Compared to other milks, goat milk is pretty savory. I also liked the bit of turmeric and honey mixed in. I think it's definitely worth a try if you want to take the chance. I would get it again if I'm in the area and another specialty latte, too. The baristas here are warm and friendly, and we had a small chat about the coffee and the city. Good baristas and good coffee? You'd find it here at Golden Goat. The only downside is that they close so early.

Yelp
* date visited: 08.30.2024 * ordered: mango vanilla cappuccino (seasonal) fantastic in every way. i love the coffee they use and the mango and vanilla were both light and paired so nicely with the deep flavor from the espresso. beautiful art, kind service, and quality/creative craftsmanship in their menu. will 1000% be back and try their other flavors
google avatar

Simi S.

Yelp
Stopped in on a weekday morning for a quick cortado. The cortado itself was well made, steamed perfectly and the espresso had great flavor. Staff was also super friendly and though it's a small shop, it has a community feel. Will definitely be back to try more drinks!
google avatar

Yelp
I always walk by this place on my way to work and see a line, so I finally gave it a try! For someone who loves seasonal drinks, this is heaven. There are various matcha and espresso tonics with Asian influenced flavors, though I have it on good authority that their espresso is quality too. The pandan banana matcha was a must-get for me. The banana flavor comes through, but I didn't really taste the matcha. Still a super delicious and beautiful drink. I like that they feature pastries from different local bakeries throughout the week! It's obvious a lot of thought is put into their menu, and the baristas are very kind too.

Yelp
Came in the morning to get coffee. Golden Goat is one of the best places to get it in the South Beach neighborhood. It may not look like much on the inside or outside. Also has pretty limited hours. The coffee is worth the long ass lines. Basically this only has coffee to go. It's a place with a counter inside. The menu is pretty simple. Apparently with the limited space they won't have that much to choose from. Still manages to have enough though. It's about $6 for a coffee. That's a lot but this is high quality stuff. I had the Pandan Banana Matcha. This is AOI matcha, condensed coconut milk, dragonfruit powder, choice of milk and Pandan banana simple syrup. Has a lot of coffee even though it's a pretty cramped place inside. It's often got lines going out the front so you may have to wait awhile but it's usually not that long it seems. This is only open in the mornings to afternoons on weekdays.

Yelp
This place can be hard to find if it's your first time but it is some super good drinks. It's in the alley next to the gas station. Tried the pandan matcha and mango vanilla cappuccino. This pandan matcha was super good and it looked so pretty with the fruit powder on top. Would definitely recommend. The mango vanilla cappuccino had a good coffee taste but it was hard to taste the mango, I tasted more of the tajin which was interesting. It's a small little gem in SF and I loved everything about it. The drinks came out in a timely manner.

Yelp
Update: Tried the pandan banana matcha recently - it's AMAZING hot and iced. Staff were super friendly and chatty and all my coworkers loved their coffee. Highly recommend, especially for their seasonal offerings!

Yelp
Golden Goat was on my list for a while since it's near work and has great reviews. I finally got the chance to stop by one weekday morning at around 10:30 am. It's a tiny shop with limited seating, but I think that is part of what makes this coffee shop unique. It's more of a grab and go vibe with unique, high-quality drinks. When I arrived, there were 10-20 people outside conversing or waiting for their orders. Really great location and nice staff. Now for the coffee, it was my first time, so I ordered their signature Golden Goat with goat milk, turmeric, and honey + espresso. I really enjoyed the unique flavors of this latte. Goat milk definitely has a different taste from regular milk and that played a large part in the flavor profile of the drink, specifically in the aftertaste (slightly cheesy?). It probably isn't for everyone, but I thought the flavors actually paired quite well together, making for a unique coffee experience you won't get in drinks elsewhere. Coffee flavor was nice as well. The size of the coffees aren't as large, but the flavor and quality are there. I've heard you can ask for the pandan banana matcha into a coffee based latte, so I'll be getting that the next time I go Definitely one of the coffee shops I've enjoyed most in SF recently
google avatar

Rhubarb M.

Yelp
Sweet little shop, love the vibe, delicious coffee, delightful selection of yummy bakery goods. Not a place you stay in, but a few stools are available if you need. Staff was all kind and welcoming, I just got coffee & cream but drink menu looked interesting. Close to the park if that's your kinda thing or the gig needs to go. Highly recommend
google avatar

Sarah C.

Yelp
came here to specifically try the pandan banana matcha hehe the pandan and banana were pretty spot on but masked the flavor of the matcha almost completely :( but would come back to try the other specialty drinks
google avatar

Camille E.

Yelp
A cute little hidden gem, this place is amazing. Small but mighty, the cortado was delicious and the staff very kind. Given it is small, if there is a line you will need to be patient with timing, but I like that it allows for time to sit and enjoy the space.
google avatar

Sue K.

Yelp
Wow, tasting is believing -- didn't know what to expect from a goat milk latte, but the hype is real. The Golden Goat is a turmeric-based latte with goat milk, which is uniquely savory and smooth. Only one small size available, but the quality surpasses the quantity. Was it worth the $7? Debatable, but still worth a try if you're in the area. Golden Goat is a small storefront located in a random alleyway, and easy to miss if you're walking down the Main Street. This place has exceptional coffee and top-notch service, and is the perfect example of what a neighborhood coffee shop should be like. Hope to be back soon!
google avatar

Madeline M.

Yelp
love love loveee their pandan banana matcha. so happy they're finally open on saturdays so that my boyfriend and i can enjoy it together!
google avatar

Ashley Y.

Yelp
Such a cute small coffee shop in the middle of an alleyway. The coffee is so good and the service is great as well. I love how there's seasonal menus and I'm a big fan of the pandan matcha. There's a bench in front of the coffee shop but no other seating!
google avatar

Ananya M.

Yelp
would give it 5/5 but really depends on the barista! this is one of my fav places in the city, it's a small/cute cafe that's more gran and go style. they do have a restroom + wifi though! i always get a brown sugar/syrup latte and it comes out to around $6.25 ($.75 upcharge for oat milk ). HOWEVER, last time i went i asked for oat milk and he gave me one with dairy -- obviously asked him to redo it -- but if i wasn't paying attention id have a diary latte (and break my veganis' ?!?) so kinda not happy about that
google avatar

Anisha D.

Yelp
This place is sooo tucked away it's very interesting. The matcha was quite good, and will be back
google avatar

Regen W.

Yelp
Waited 20 minutes only to realize they didn't put my order in :( waited shortly for the fix & the matchas were great! Passion fruit matcha tonic was so fabulous and fresh, super balanced flavors, will come back for that. Banana pandan was good, very creamy & lightly sweet despite the coconut condensed milk. I think they comped one of the drinks because of the hiccup, super kind staff!
google avatar

Elaine W.

Yelp
A community staple hidden in an alleyway. During the weekdays this cafe is popular among the local working crowd and can get quite busy. The outdoor benches are great for catching up with friends. I like trying the various seasonal drinks here. Great flavor matching. The goat milk latte is especially unique with a little savory twist. The other drinks are sometimes too sweet depending on the barista's personal touch, so I like asking for my drinks less sweet.
google avatar

Kurt G.

Yelp
Golden Goat Coffee certainly has its charm, but my recent experience left me a bit underwhelmed. Despite the hype surrounding the shop, I found my orange blossom cappuccino it to be lacking in the promised flavor. The aroma was enticing, but the taste didn't quite live up to expectations. One aspect that detracted from the overall experience was the long line. Waiting in queue can certainly dampen one's enthusiasm, especially when the end result doesn't fully deliver. It makes me question whether it's worth making a special trip for. That being said, Golden Goat Coffee still has its merits. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, and the staff are friendly and attentive. Their other offerings might fare better than the orange blossom cappuccino, so it could be worth giving them another shot. Overall, while my recent visit to Golden Goat Coffee left something to be desired, it's possible that other items on their menu could be more satisfying. If you happen to be in the area and the line isn't too daunting, it might be worth stopping by for a different brew.
google avatar

Yelp
Tucked in an alleyway, you'll find Golden Goat Coffee. It's a family owned coffee shop. They serve fun, seasonal drinks. The staff is super friendly here. They also offer pastries from local bake shops, like Saltwater and Bake Sum. Theres a bench outside, but I would say this is most ideal for grab and go.
google avatar

Mandy Z.

Yelp
Tucked away coffee shop in Mission Bay that serves very unique coffee drinks and pastries! One of the best iced lattes I've had in the city!! Highly recommend and will be back to try more of their offerings.
google avatar

Eileen C.

Yelp
I've been passing by this coffee shop on my way to work every day and finally had time to try it since there's usually a line outside. The golden goat made with goat milk and turmeric was delicious!! I only wish it was even bigger! Getting there at 10, there were about 6 people in line, but it moved fairly consistently. As it's just a little shop, there is a one table outside to sit, but otherwise it's pretty grab-and-go. The barista was super nice and asked how to spell my name, a small but very appreciated gesture.
google avatar

Morgan D.

Yelp
Amazing food, amazing coffee, and the most beautiful view of the Golden Gate Bridge! Fast service, and friendly staff!
google avatar

Nazia A.

Yelp
I got the lavender iced latte, and felt like it was a little too milky. Wish there was more flavor!
google avatar

Jessica J.

Yelp
Finally made it during working hours! I wish they were open on weekends, too. I got the seasonal caramel cardamom cappuccino ($4.50) after the barista told me it'd be leaving the menu next week! I wish the temp was hotter, but I don't typically order cappuccinos, so maybe it would've burned the coffee. Either way, it was delicious and not too sweet. They should make a latte version. The baristas were kind and helpful during our short chat. Super quick service. A grab-and-go spot, but there is a small bench outside. Restroom available as well. Hope I can make it back soon to try their namesake drink: The Golden Goat.
google avatar

Jenny H.

Yelp
Awesome coffee shop near South Park! It's quite hidden in an alley, but you'll notice it right away with the long lines. Luckily, the lines typically move quickly, so you'll get your coffee fix soon! There are no seatings inside, but you can wait for your coffee at one of the benches outside. Overall, it's small shop with great coffee and quick service! Love the unique as well as classic drinks. They have cortados here, if that's your thing. The honey lavender latte is delicious with a hint of sweetness, but not overpowering. They also have Meyenberg goat milk, which is interesting!
google avatar

Kevin S.

Yelp
Exceptional coffee and service. 5 star coffee spot for sure. The lattes are smooth, fresh, bold, and delicious. Can't go wrong with a simple vanilla latte, or a golden goat latte - the flagship drink. You'll walk away incredibly happy with any latte or coffee based drink at Golden Goat. The baristas are also patient, kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable. Top-notch service! Would I go out of my way to get coffee from Golden Goat Coffee? I absolutely would.
google avatar

Regan T.

Yelp
Tucked away in an unassuming alley, Golden Goat Coffee is easy to miss. I walk through this area of SoMa/South Park all the time and only recently discovered it! They are only open on weekdays from 8am-4pm so I did also have to catch a convenient time to swing by. Of note, their entrance is on Varney Place directly across from the Shell gas station rather than on 3rd Street as the address might suggest. You can tell the shop is a converted garage--it's a tight space but they make it cozy! There are a few benches outside great for waiting for your order but this is very much not a sit-down type cafe. Their drink specials rotate and the flavors always sound exciting to me. I opted for the Honey Lavender latte which was perfectly creamy, not overly sweet, and just terrific in how it was crafted. I also tried a sip of the caramel cardamom cappuccino which was fabulous as well! They feature pastries from local vendors such as Bake Sum and Saltwater Bake Shop which I am sooo happy to see because normally you have to go over to the East Bay for them. I sampled a guava danish and a tea cake/muffin. Very yummy. The most difficult part of my experience was finding a good time on a weekday to visit. Highly recommend if you want a professional coffee with unique flavor pairings.
google avatar

Darrell J.

Yelp
Cozy cafe with a great staff! Would highly recommend if you're looking for a new spot for a cup of coffee.
google avatar

Morgan W.

Yelp
This was my standby when I used to work near South Park, and the "golden goat" latte (with goat milk, turmeric, honey, and espresso) is just as good as I remember it being. It's run by some pretty great folks, and I'm glad to see that they're still thriving. It's a tiny little place, so definitely recommend picking your drink up and taking it to a nearby park or workplace. I can get oat milk at any old cafe, but I have to venture into SF to put the G before the OAT.
google avatar

Janessa M.

Yelp
Been wanting to try this place for awhile now since I work around the area. I got their Pandan Banana Matcha drink and it was very refreshing. This drink taste similar to a Vietnamese dessert and I actually enjoyed it! I tried the Honey Lavender Latte from my coworker and I thought it was ok. I'd come back to try their other drinks. Service was pretty quick!
google avatar

Mia W.

Yelp
I come here all the time, am a loyal fan of their cortado. I've introduced all my coworkers to their espresso. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, and they're efficient on busy mornings. Pastries are good too, and sell out.
google avatar

Mads R.

Yelp
Cute hole in the wall. Very small storefront, saying outside (2 benches). Nice pastry selection & attentive employees
google avatar

Eunice T.

Yelp
I can see why this place has such high rating. I love goat milk, so I'm a bit biased already. The golden goat (turmeric + goat milk) had the perfect balance. I was told that other drinks (ie the lavender one) would not taste as good with goat milk due to its distinctive taste. The savory flavor in turmeric balanced it out. Definitely on the pricy side but glad I got to try it.
google avatar

Melanie Z.

Yelp
This is a super cute spot tucked away in a small alleyway with creative, unique drinks and the most friendly workers! I ordered the Golden Goat and to be honest it was a bit too goaty for me, but I can see the appeal. However I could tell the quality of the coffee + ingredients was great. I definitely want to come back to try their other drinks :)

Jeremy L.

Yelp
Very busy coffee shop. It's a hole in the wall so it can be easily missed. Cars do drive through it is a bit of a squish with everyone clinging onto the sidewalk for dear life. The coffee seems affordable and they have some very unique options. I was here last week and got a Lavendar latte but it did taste a little subtle which is okay but was expecting more. Today, I am getting an iced orange blossom cappuccino with oatmilk and I'm looking forward to trying it. The surcharge for alternative milk is not pricey compared to other places.
google avatar

Alyssa S.

Yelp
This place is soooo cute! You access the cafe on Varney Place. Service was great. The three girls working today seemed so sweet & fun! I got the honey orange blossom cappuccino and it was SO good! The perfect touch of sweetness and I can definitely taste the quality espresso. The rest of their drink menu sounds amazing & I can't wait to return to try them all + the pastries! Highly recommend this spot - definitely going to be coming here again & again!

Yelp
I was aimlessly biking around SF and decided I was in the mood for some coffee. I searched on Yelp for nearby shops and Golden Goat Coffee had the best reviews by far. After trying this place? The 5 stars is more than well deserved. 1) Menu variety- 5/5. My go-to is a latte, but I'm always looking for unique drinks to try. I looked at this menu and I wanted to try everything. Homemade honey lavender syrup?! Yuzu and grapefruit bitters with an espresso?! Pandan banana simple syrup?! Creative genius. 2) Sparkling Espreszu- 5/5. Didn't know what to expect, but it sounded so good. Such a light, refreshing drink. I had to stop myself from immediately downing it all. SAVOR YOUR DRINK. 3) Pastries- 5/5. They get their pastries from Craftsman and Wolves, which is already a favorite of mine so you know they have good taste here. I got a croissant, and the barista offered to warm it up. Never has anyone at a coffee shop offered to warm up the pastry for me. Considering I got there at ~1:30p when the pastries are no longer at their best, warming it up is definitely the best move. The croissant still tasted so FRESH. Wowooww I will never be able to eat another croissant at room temp again. 4) Service- 5/5. Super friendly barista/owners. Would take coffee recommendations from them any day. They also came out and brought me napkins after I sat down to eat. (Thank you thank you) 5) Aesthetic- 5/5. Tucked away in an alley it truly feels like a hidden gem, except everyone knows about this place. There are a few wooden benches outside if you're staying to drink your coffee. The pastry plates are adorable. They sell t-shirts and stickers too. Will definitely be taking all my coffee enthusiast friends here! I feel like I can now confidently say I've been to one of the best coffee shops in the city.

Yelp
it is expensive but it is worth it, to try once at least. i don't think i could make it a regular visit simply based on the price but the goat milk drink is really interesting, really rich. the ambiance is very very hole in the wall and the service is good.

Yelp
I'm always so so happy when I'm in SOMA, because Golden Goat Coffee is fantastic. I recently tried the orange cinnamon latte with oat milk and it was the perfect mix of balanced espresso and just enough citrus to be tasteful and delicious! The baristas are always really friendly and they are exceptionally talented - not only is their latte art beautiful, one of them even designs their merchandise and is a talented ceramicist (Carolyn, I love your work!!). They're to-go only, but South Park is just around the corner so it's a lovely place to enjoy your drink. One of my favorites in the city, and always a happy place!

Yelp
We recently stopped by here on a weekday morning; it's tucked into a little alley way, with a few benches in front for seating. Also a heads up, when you get there, there are some barcodes on the window for contactless payment, and I believe you get 5 dollars off your first purchase if you order through that! I tried their golden goat coffee, since it's their namesake drink. It's made of goat milk, turmeric, and coffee, and the goat milk is most of what you taste. The turmeric is quite light, and there's a sweetness that balances the whole drink. If you don't like goat milk, obviously don't get it, but otherwise would highly recommend. It is on the pricey side (~7 dollars). We also got a mocha, and I only had a sip, but it tasted somewhat watered down to me. Not sure though, but my friend who loves mochas said they really liked it! They get their pastries from Craftsman and Wolves, so we got the Dulce de Leche Kouign Amann. It was amazing; it was layered and crispy like a croissant, with sugar between each layer. So delicious! I know technically the pastry was just sourced from another shop, but kudos for a great decision! Would 100% come back. Definitely a great cafe!!

Yelp
Long overdue review. Great service and delicious coffee! It's always a fantastic experience picking up coffee from Golden Goat! Arrive happy, leave happier! Tried the Golden Goat and Honey Lavender Latte this time. Loved the honey lavender latte! It was not sweet and you can still taste the espresso. Perfect drink in a 12 oz cup! The Golden Goat was super unique and interesting. Never had goat milk before. This drink tastes a little fermented, oddly satisfying! I want to try everything on the menu eventually. They offer pastries from Craftsman and Wolves that are available Monday through Friday. You can pre-order Bake Sum Pastry Box through their website that are available for pickup on Fridays from 12-2PM. You can also get them a la carte during the same time frame. Go early because they'll run out! I learned from my first visit LOL! This place is easy to miss, but it's pass 3rd St towards 4th on Varney Place. You'll see a Shell gas station across. Will continue to support!

Yelp
Super yummy coffee! I stopped by one morning while on my way to work, and ordered a lavender honey latte. The baristas are super friendly. I wish I lived closer so I could become a regular. I also ordered a pastry - they stock Craftsman and Wolves which is always yummy.
