Go. To. Good Days. Now.
The restaurant is everything you could want as a New Yorker (or human) who enjoys good food, great drinks, a fab atmosphere and top notch service. As a new addition to the neighborhood, I am THRILLED that it landed in Brooklyn. It easily falls into my top 3 restaurants ever.
To know:
The location is everything. It’s right between the L Train (Bedford Ave) and the J train (Marcy Ave). It’s a few blocks from the hype bars of North 5th - North 9th on Bedford so you aren’t shoulder to shoulder with people on the street and right next to the Williamsburg Bridge… similar to a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
The vibe:
Fabulous. It’s one of those, “walk down a few steps to enter”, dimly lit, chic NYC spots. The bar is welcoming and warm and the decor is so fab. Walking through the restaurant it opens up into seating that continues until you hit the outside patio area which is going to be jampacked in the summer. There’s even an outdoor bar. I’m so glad that I found this place so I know exactly where to go year round. Almost like it’s too cute to have good food… But wait.
The drinks:
I like to drink. A lot of people say I’m really good at it.. so I know a good drink when I have one. Ol’ Salty Bastard is for sure the drink that I will have every time I go.. or maybe the Mezcal Negroni.. Probably both.
The food:
East Coast Oysters
Sobrasada Bocadillo
Fontina Croquettes
Bottarga Bucatini
Pan Seared Duck
We were so excited, we had to try a little of everything and I’m drooling thinking about it.. the food was unreal.
Can’t say enough good things about Good Days. It was the best time and I will be back over and over.
Congrats to the owners!
