Good Days in Williamsburg Is More Than a Steak Frites Spot | Eater NY

"Opened by Stephany Burgos and Amanda Norton as a “modern American bistro,” this Williamsburg spot excels when it goes beyond the bistro basics, a reliable option when you want something solid without dealing with hard-to-get hype spots. The sobrasada bocadillo ($14)—paprika-rich spreadable pork on sourdough that’s flattened, seared, cut into strips, and served with honey—evokes pepperoni pizza; the shrimp cocktail (5 for $24) stands out for its tart housemade cocktail sauce and a compelling creamy burnt-onion Dijonnaise; and the agnolotti with sheep’s milk ricotta and sage ($28), topped with hazelnuts and fig balsamic, is a satisfying autumnal plate and a strong vegetarian main. With a wall full of windows at its front, the dimly lit dining room has a breezy, minimalist feel, and the step down to enter gives it a semi-secret hideaway vibe, with a main dining room and bar in front, a more intimate lounge in back, and a tucked-aside outdoor patio. The steak frites ($32) is a value compared to other versions in the city and a solid solo meal, but the smaller plates and little touches are where the kitchen shows its potential—think that Dijonnaise, the fennel cream on chilled mussels, and the brown butter-yuzu vinaigrette on the hamachi crudo." - Bettina Makalintal

10/10 experience, beautiful space, so thoughtful and intentional. Chef Steph and Amanda created a beautiful space for the neighborhood with incredible cocktails and menu. Every single cocktail and every single menu item has been phenomenal. The shrimp cocktail is a must, whatever secret stock they’re using makes it. Also as someone w a dairy allergy, the team is more than accommodating. I had the mushroom cavatelli tonight and that was an 11/10. The agnolotti is also incredible and the tinned mussels w chive butter is a must. We love what the team are doing here, and it shows that they really care.

Go. To. Good Days. Now. The restaurant is everything you could want as a New Yorker (or human) who enjoys good food, great drinks, a fab atmosphere and top notch service. As a new addition to the neighborhood, I am THRILLED that it landed in Brooklyn. It easily falls into my top 3 restaurants ever. To know: The location is everything. It’s right between the L Train (Bedford Ave) and the J train (Marcy Ave). It’s a few blocks from the hype bars of North 5th - North 9th on Bedford so you aren’t shoulder to shoulder with people on the street and right next to the Williamsburg Bridge… similar to a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. The vibe: Fabulous. It’s one of those, “walk down a few steps to enter”, dimly lit, chic NYC spots. The bar is welcoming and warm and the decor is so fab. Walking through the restaurant it opens up into seating that continues until you hit the outside patio area which is going to be jampacked in the summer. There’s even an outdoor bar. I’m so glad that I found this place so I know exactly where to go year round. Almost like it’s too cute to have good food… But wait. The drinks: I like to drink. A lot of people say I’m really good at it.. so I know a good drink when I have one. Ol’ Salty Bastard is for sure the drink that I will have every time I go.. or maybe the Mezcal Negroni.. Probably both. The food: East Coast Oysters Sobrasada Bocadillo Fontina Croquettes Bottarga Bucatini Pan Seared Duck We were so excited, we had to try a little of everything and I’m drooling thinking about it.. the food was unreal. Can’t say enough good things about Good Days. It was the best time and I will be back over and over. Congrats to the owners!

I somehow stumbled upon this spot when looking at google maps and decided to make a res and I’m so glad I did! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the most friendly host who makes you feel right at home. All of the staff throughout the restaurant and bar are incredibly welcoming and kind as well. The ambience throughout the restaurant is absolutely perfect, with warm lighting, mid century modern/art deco decor and comfy chairs for dining. The food and drinks were incredible. We ordered a bunch of apps and the agnolotti to share. The hamachi crudo and chicken liver parfait were our personal favs. They even brought us complimentary shrimp cocktail which was amazing. We cannot wait to come back!!!

Incredible food, firstly! Both limone agnolotti and chicken liver parfait were something special! It’s a genuinely warm and attentive staff that makes the experience even more meaningful. Plus, in a beautifully designed space. Williamsburg is better for this spot opening!

Attended a pre opening event at Good Days. New American restaurant; Williamsburg in Brooklyn. Great vive, quaint and unique. From the moment my husband and I arrived, we felt welcome. The music and service was A1. The selection of different and unique cocktail options blew my mind. The dinner was amazing. We had a couple of appetizers, and a main course. When dessert came around, I had to try the chocolate dessert. I will return for more very soon. Loved it. Thank you, Good Days! Definitely the experience made my day. 👏🏻👏🏻

Incredible dining experience from reservations, service, drinks, food, recommendations, and overall vibes of the restaurant. I appreciated that different areas of the restaurant had different feels- from warm and cozy on a date night to the perfect spot to grab some drinks with friends or larger group setting. Absolutely coming back!!

Wow! I’m in love with this spot! Everything was executed perfectly; from their delicious & unique flavors, to their kind & genuine customer service. Standouts were their Steak (served with the crispiest fries) & Limone Agnolotti, but I cannot wait to get back there and try some of their seafood starters. Do yourselves a favor and get the High Desert cocktail.. a tequila and mezcal base with montenegro, sesame, yuzu and coconut. Yum! The vibes were also on point and very Palm Springs-desert oasis, which made this Cali girl feel very at home. You can tell that they really took their time on the little details; making the space both look beautiful and feel inviting. Thank you Good Days!!
