Goodsurf Beach Club Recruits Well-Known Dallas Chef to Reboot Menu | Eater Dallas
"Opened in June 2024 in a former beach-volleyball space off Canton Street in Deep Ellum, this surf-themed venue pairs a surf pool and pickleball courts with a revamped bar-and-restaurant program designed to broaden capacity. Owners Zach Shor, Andrew Limbocker, Joe Pomerenke, and Turner Eakins brought in chef Nick Badovinus and his Flavor Hook group to reorganize the kitchen, redesign the dining room, and give the operation a new name, elevating the menu with Baja/SoCal–leaning dishes such as the New Wave Asada Fries (waffle-cut sweet potato fries topped with teriyaki-marinated skirt steak, pico de gallo, avocado, cotija, and lime ranch), crispy rock cod tacos sourced from Kanaloa Seafood Market, a classic QP Cheeseburger on a Martin’s potato roll, and Ahi Poke Wonchos (fried wonton chips with ahi in dynamite sauce, jalapeño, radish, and sesame). The drink program features margaritas on tap, house cocktails like a cucumber mojito and hibiscus ranch water, low- and no-proof options, a selection of wines, and THC-infused sparkling waters from local Cali Sober while regulatory questions remain. With ample front-lot parking and views of the Downtown skyline and a nearby mural, the spot aims to deliver a relaxed “quality hang” that complements its active, beach-club amenities." - Courtney E.
