The Best Seafood Restaurants In DC - Washington DC - The Infatuation

"You might think there are a lot of good seafood options at the Wharf, but gone are the days of Captain White’s and Phillips. And while none of the seafood here can touch what was happening in the olden days, we’ll swing by Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips for a relatively cheap, grab-and-go box of fried shrimp and chips. It’s a great place to wrangle hungry kids who are fed up with taking family pictures in front of the water. Grab a seat at one of the tables or take your Union Jack-covered boxes of fried seafood to the outdoor courtyard right across the street." - tristiana hinton, madeline weinfield, liz tracy

Where to Find Delicious Fish and Chips Around D.C. | Eater DC

"Boisterous British chef Gordon Ramsay pulled up to the Wharf in late 2022 with a takeout-friendly menu centered around its namesake dish and other takes on British pub grub. A three-piece combo of sustainable cod coated with custard powder batter, chips, and two sauces runs around $19.99. Shrimp and chicken get the crispy treatment, too. Chips also shine solo, loaded up with meats and sauces." - Tierney Plumb

Gordon Ramsay’s New Fish and Chips Restaurant Is Its Own Kitchen Nightmare - Eater NY

"The heart of the menu is the fish and chips ($17.99): three same-size logs of cod with a glistening beer batter coating. The fish is good, though mind-bogglingly bland. Yet, for the Times Square tourist, this combination of identifiable food celebrity and wholesome, if boring, food might be just the thing." - Robert Sietsema

Gordon Ramsay’s Fish and Chips Chain Opens in Times Square - Eater NY

"A fish and chips chain from celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay — called Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips, of course — has touched down in Times Square at 1500 Broadway, near Seventh Avenue. Manhattan gets the fourth U.S. location of this growing chain, which got a tepid thumbs up from the Washington Post last month for its well-battered fish and “airport” fries. In addition to seafood, look out for fried chicken, shakes mixed with sticky toffee, loaded french fries, and sandwiches wrapped in naan." - Luke Fortney

Food 4.5/5 (For a fast food joint) I ordered the Chickenwich Combo, and friends ordered Gordon’s Combo + Shrimp and Lobster combo. Although I wasn’t mind blown, it was one of best quality fast food I’ve ever had. The chicken was perfectly cooked and felt light and non-greasy. Shrimp was a bit greasy, but everything tasted great, with perfect fries. Definitely try out the mango chutney sauce! Service 4/5: Friendly staff. They made sure to check for allergies. Everything got delivered on time. If nitpicking, the fountain drink station was down on the day of our visit. Overall a great experience. Cleanliness and Decor 3/5: Place is fairly clean, wouldn’t say to it’s as clean as Chef Ramsey’s standards on his shows. But, the decor🤣, definitely needs a fresh rework. Would revisit again for sure.

I go to this place every once in a while. It's pricey but the food is really good. Everything tastes fresh. Back in the day, they used to have lobster, but they got rid of that option. I've also tried their chicken, which is way better than other fried chicken spots since they season the chicken here. I had the fish and shrimp combo and hellfire wings this time around. I didn't like that it came in a different box than usual, but the worker said they ran out of the normal boxes they put the food in. The wings taste similiar to Buffalo wings but a little more spicy. They weren't too spicy for my taste, but I can tolerate some heat. The fries were really crispy and if you want ketchup, you'll have to get the packets they have on the side because it is not served like the other sauces. There is also malt vinegar and Tabasco sauce in packets. I find that the vinegar is an acquired taste to the fish and fries. All the sauces that aren't in packets taste like they are freshly made. I love their tarter, curry mango and shiracha aoili sauces. The shiracha one seems to go with every item on the menu. The service is always good here. I come at night, so most of the time they aren't too busy. The atmosphere is like a family-friendly British restaurant.

Google
Fish and chips was excellent. Light batter, not greasy at all. Fries could have been a little crispier but still good. The Sriracha ailoi was definitely my favorite sauce by a LOT. don't be afraid to add a kids meal to your order!! One less piece of fish and you save some $. Will be back again for sure. Need to try fish and chips at a couple other places on the wharf too.

Google
I’ve always been a fan of Gordon Ramsay and unfortunately he no longer has restaurants in New York but this fish and chips experience didn’t disappoint. The lemonade was so tasty unlike any other lemonade flavor I’ve had, and the shrimp, cod, and chicken were cooked very well. Lastly, the staff were friendly I unfortunately lost the paper with their names but very nice female employees !!

Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips 1500 Broadway Suite 105 New York, NY 10036 Hellfire Wings Fish Combo Shrimp Combo Lobster & Shrimp Combo Biscoff Shake Strawberries & Cream Shake Banana Toffee Shake First and foremost, do not rely on Google Maps to find this upscale fast food restaurant. When you are at Broadway and W. 44th. St., walk east for 1-2 minutes. The restaurant is across the street from The Gap. The menu choices are limited, but remember it’s quality, not quantity! The hellfire wings are the perfect blend of heat and spice. I’d eat the bones if I could! There’s no doubt the blue cheese is better than the herb ranch sauce, but both are still tasty! The temperature, crispiness, and appearance of the main entrees and chips are on par. Make sure you don’t eat the lobster shell! You are allowed to choose two sauces for each main course. I recommend all of them except the mango curry sauce; curry tastes better when you are having Indian cuisine. Even the design of his disposable boxes looks pretty neat. Appearance counts because when you are a chef, you automatically are an artist - whether you like it or not! If you have room for dessert, try Gordon’s biscoff shake or any of his seasonal shakes of the month. I honestly feel his milkshakes supersedes all of his competitors because the dessert drinks are really thick and there is not an overbearing amount of toppings. It was a priceless experience dining in this small haven. You may leave here with an empty wallet, but you’ll leave with a full stomach! #gordonramsay #biscoff #fishandchips #wings #timessquarenewyork

The fish is shaped and sized like a hot dog, which was nice with the orange southern sauce. However, the chips were too salty for my liking. Great location and convenient in Times Square.

Extremely friendly cashier (sorry I didn't ask for her name). Cooked to perfection, good portions and tasty. The whole staff is great and make you feel welcome. Thank you, it was a great experience for my family.

Google
The Food Is Definitely overrated the fries were horrible and cold they remade them and they were still hard and cold… my fish was cold and the shrimp was hard. A first and definitely last time coming here. The price for this food is ridiculous

Yelp
Very very good!, a little pricey but straight up better than I expected. Fish was cooked perfect and the fries were on poo t as well, I'm usually not into tarter cause but the gordans tarter was banging.

Yelp
Service was friendly and attentive. Joy, the chief knows exactly what they're doing. Joy stopped by my table quickly and was so lovely and friendly. This place deserves all the attention! 10/10 recommend while in NYC!

Yelp
First time but wanted to try. While the food was very good (breading was light for a chicken tender and fried perfectly seasoned) there were some things that took us off of the restaurant in general. For being in Times Square, it wasn't as welcoming as some other places. The price was a bit steep for what you got, even in NYC (almost $20 for 3 tenders and fries. No drink) Restaurant had some leaking from the ceiling and it felt like a sauna inside. The food is what kept up the stars. I would try it for yourself but you may want to walk around while eating.

Yelp
I've been in a fish and chip mood and am on the prowl for the best in the city. I tried a few places when I lived in England so I'm picky about this dish. It's one of my faves. The store's location is a little tricky. It says it's on broadway but it's really on 44th st. I've been wanting to go to this restaurant because well--Gordon Ramsey! He doesn't play when it comes to food and cooking! Lol! Being that he is English, I was sure his fish recipe would be perfect. I ordered the fish and chip combo with mango curry and tartar sauces. Oooh the sauces were perfect. I loved the mango curry and used it as a chip dip as well. It had a light curry flavor with a subtle fruity sweetness. I need that bottled Ramsey! So about the fish...they were nicely fried in an authentic tasting batter though I think it should be a 4 pc instead of a 3 pc. The fish and chips were steaming hot and fresh! I don't think the entree would be as good without the sauces so if in doubt go with them. The chips were slimmer than I thought they would be. Nothing too special about the chips but they were a bit too salty and slightly overdone for my liking. They have packets of malt vinegar that you can add on yourself. The individual calling out the orders was informative and friendly. You can scan the QR code on your table to leave the restaurant ratings on their desired review platform. Or you can yelp about your experience ;

Yelp
Stopped by for a quick bite between plans, mostly just to check it off the list with no real expectations. Ended up enjoying the Gordon's Combo, which came with deep fried chicken, shrimp, fish, and fries. We picked tartar and sriracha aioli as our sauces. Everything was fried to a good crisp, and the seasoning was on point. Portion was solid too. Might have just been our timing, but there was no lineup and the space felt pretty relaxed, which made it a nice pause from all the walking. Only small hiccup was the table needing a wipe down before we could sit. Nothing major, just something that stuck out first thing. Aside from that, glad we popped in. A nice little breather before heading off to our next stop in the city.

Yelp
I was surprised to see and Gordon Ramsey Fish & Chip restaurant in Times Square right across from our hotel. The last night we decide to stop in and ordered the fish and chip meal. I was hoping that this place didn't disappoint us. I admire Chef Ramsay's and enjoy watching all his cooking shows. The service was good, the prices were a bit pricey on the meal. My fish and chip came out freshly cooked with perfection. My fish was crispy just the way I like it. Well cooked and seasoned.

Yelp
Tried the fish and shrimp combo with chips . I was so impressed with the size of the shrimp , usually at a fast food establishment they are minuscule. I enjoyed the batter and the fish was good. It could have been a little more crispy but it was still tasty. The chips were just ok, nothing special. I am not a sugar soda drinker and was happy that they have seltzer available. The cups are a nice plastic and my straw was, it's the little things! The food here is made to order so be prepared to wait a little bit. Unfortunately, the scaffolding outside makes it look dingy from the outside but inside it was very clean. I can't say enough about the employees here. They were so friendly and truly happy ! I was so impressed by that, especially in NYC , it can be a tough crowd to deal with .

Yelp
On vacation and found this fast food, Ramsey approved gem! The service was fast and easy. The restaurant was superbly clean. You can see the kitchen was gleaming steel and the staff was very sanitary. The chips were crispy and hot as was all other food items. The chicken was juicy and the shrimp are large! Fish was flaky and moist. The sauces are fantastic no matter what flavor! A definite must try!

Yelp
Food was awesome and hot ! Service was phenomenal ! Music- incorporate 90's rap, Tupac & Biggee Ambience- hot as hell as your air conditioner has been broke since the 17th of July 2025- Really, in the middle of summer ! Gordon, I am disappointed! Handle yo Bizness !

Yelp
Gordon's Combo ($20) comes with a sampling amount of fish, shrimp, and chicken. It lays on a mountainous amount of fries. Get the Dirty Fries ($4) add-on for more variety in flavor. Out of all the sauces, the Curry & Mango was a unique choice but I will always gravitate towards the Sriracha Aioli. The fried seafood seemed fried fresh to a beautiful golden color with a full crisp outer shell. The fries being the bed of it results in them being soggy though. Good to try once if you're looking for a different fast food in the area.
google avatar

Yelp
The person taking orders and cooking the food was happy, energetic and fun - definitely seemed to enjoy his job. The chips were fresh, lightly salted and very very good. The fish was excellent with a light crispy breading. The chicken was good but the fish was deficient the star of the lunch. The place was clean with nice seating. Would go back for the food.
google avatar

Fay K.

Yelp
The food was fresh and tasty, but be aware that it is all fried and very heavy. It's a nice touch that you can order the mini milkshakes to try both flavors. One flavor rotates. The staff were friendly and accommodating. More than one table though was wobbly. I tried several and just had to make do with a wobbly table. The decor is in need of a touch up.

Yelp
We got there right when they opened. So clean. Food was amazing. Brought me right back to Britain. Joyell cooked the food perfectly. Highly recommend. Food came out right away. Great service. I would drink the curry sauce. The tartar sauce is great too. We tried the cocktail but it was too sweet for me.

Yelp
This was a bit of a mixed experience for me. The space has bright lighting and a long, open kitchen, which gives it more of a fast-food vibe than I expected. The staff seemed annoyed when I came in to pick up my DoorDash order, which wasn't the warmest welcome. It felt like doing takeout was an inconvenience to them. That said, the food itself was really good! I got Gordon's Combo ($19.99, includes 1 piece of cod, 1 piece of chicken, and 3 shrimp along with fries), and everything was well-seasoned and salty in the best way. They were also SO CRUNCHY. I was impressed, especially since it was a to-go order. The shrimp were massive, and the portion felt generous. It came with two dipping sauces; I chose Gordon's tartar and the curry and mango. The tartar was good but the curry mango is fantastic, and I dipped every single thing in it. The pumpkin shake was a nice surprise too. It was really thick and rich with a strong pumpkin taste, which I wasn't expecting. It came topped with whipped cream, sticky toffee sauce, and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice ($10.99). I'd give it another shot and hope the staff was just having an off day because the food was worth another visit.
google avatar

Rebecca F.

Yelp
The fish combo was just enough food; 3 pieces of flaky fish and salted fries; served hot! I appreciated Joyell's friendly and helpful service! It's nice to receive a smile in this cold world we live in! I agree with other reviews in that the places is small but kept very clean. They play fun music which was fun to sing-along and vibe to as I ate my food. Overall, when I'm back in NYC and have a taste for fish & chips, I will come back.

Yelp
I love this spot. Anytime i am near Times Square i make sure to come and grab a bite to eat. I travel from the Bronx and love how fresh the food always is. They take a bit to cook it but it's most def worth it. The staff is always nice and friendly. Restaurant clean and once again food is super fresh.

Yelp
Alright so we have never been in a city with a Gordon Ramsay restaurant so we had lunch here. We were early around 11am. They made it after we ordered. Dipped it floured it etc. My wife ordered the chicken combo. The chicken was crisp and flavorful. The fries were crispy as well. She chose the mango curry sauce to dip in. It was pretty tasty. I ordered the combo chicken shrimp and fish. Tartar and siracha sauces. With a lemonade. Lemonade was real nice I could drink a gallon of that. I opted for the chipotle fries. They were ok a bit overseasoned for me but cooked perfectly. No real complaints on them. The board tells me what's on them. The fish was great, yeah maybe not the best piece of fried fish I've had but definitely worth the visit. The shrimp was nice, big and flavorful for fried shrimp the tartar sauce was really nice. The biggest hit was Joyell. She was the person that worked there and she was great.

Yelp
I came here on a Saturday evening and there was no wait. This is a good fast casual spot in the heart of Times Square for great fish and chips. We chose the fish with the truffle fries, and for our two sauces I got the mango curry and the tartar. The fish was battered to perfection and it was a great meal! Wouldn't travel out of my way for it, but it's a good option if you're in the area
google avatar

Yelp
I had a delivery order of Gordon Ramsey cod fish, shrimp, and an extra cod fillet with chips. The food was a delicious. The fried cod was flaky, fresh and not greasy. The fried shrimp consisted of 3 nice jumbo pieces, also fresh and tasty. The chips (French fries) are shoe string style. I would prefer wedges. But, they were very crispy especially for a delivery order. Clearly, a lot of thought went into it, so as to not deliver soggy fries, and that was nicely accomplished...a cut above most others. The condiments, tartar sauce and cocktail sauce were very good. Packaging was perfect, and speed of delivery was fine. The quantity was filling, though I did add an extra piece of cod fish which I recommend doing if you have a good appetite. Highly recommend.

Yelp
My friend and I came after seeing Cursed Child on a Saturday evening and there was not a wait at all and plenty of seating. A nice fast casual option in times square. We got the fish combo with truffle chips to share and it was a perfectly satisfying post-show meal. The fish had a good texture and the chips were flavorful and crisp. The sauces we got were the gordon's tartar sauce and the mango curry. Both were pretty yummy!

Yelp
Tasty, great service. Not truly the authentic feel of an English pub. But hey it's America haha. Biscoff shake on point

Yelp
I was very impressed with the quality of food offered at Gordon Ramsay Fish and Chips. Everything was made fresh right after you order it. I ordered the fish and shrimp which came with two pieces of fish and three shrimp all were really fresh and crispy not greasy at all. My boyfriend ordered Gordon's Combo which had chicken, fish and shrimp. One piece of chicken, one piece of fish and three shrimp he also ordered the dirty truffle fries. We really loved the fish and shrimp the chicken however was dry and not the greatest. The truffle fries were delicious though and defintely worth the upgrade. Overall I'd defintely come back next time I'm in NYC. Food 4.5/5 Service 5/5

Yelp
Such a disappointment. Approaching lunch time, the place is completely empty. That doesn't stop them from making you wait 20+ minutes before telling you that your $115 lunch wasn't thawed out by the morning shift...again the only people In restaurant. Do you get to pass time with the drinks you ordered? No... huge disappointment. Also STILL NO FOOD OR DRINK. Except the sticky chairs, the place seems fairly clean. Still, huge disappointment

Makenzie H.

Yelp
The workers were amazing, they were on top of getting everyone's food ready. The food was amazing, I've never eaten chicken like this. This was my first time in NewYork and I loved this dining experience!!!

Yelp
The resto was in an alley somewhere in Time Square - so it was touristy. But but it wasn't crowded so we stumbled upon this establishment. We ordered at the counter and they give you a ticket and you wait for your food. The place is clean about 15 people inside the small place. Maybe it was an off day, as we had to wait about 25 minutes for our food- not sure what the deal was because you can see the cooking and frying the food. if you are in this area, it's either after watching a Broadway show about to see one so if in a hurry, it may not work out for you here. Staff was apologetic and drumroll... I ordered the fish and chips and the fries were excellent. The fish was crispy yet soft the fries were crispy and also soft inside. Basically it was a English style fish and chips. We also got the fried chicken and chips and the same thing crispy yet tender inside so overall the only reason why I gave you a three was because of the wait but food wise between four and five stars
google avatar

Yelp
After eating lunch in Times Square, we decided to walk over here to get some fish & chips to bring home for dinner since we've been wanting to try it for a while. There was no wait to order, I got 2 combos- the fish and fish & shrimp, and they were ready quicker than expected, 5-6 minutes. I felt like for $20+, there should be at least 5 pieces of fish in the combo, not just 3. The shrimp & fish combo had 3 shrimps and 2 pieces of fish. We opted for the Gordon's tartar and sriracha aioli sauce. They use the same batter for their fish, shrimp, lobster, and chicken- not a bad thing. The fried fish and shrimp were crispy and cooked to perfection, so no complaints there at all. The fish had a lot of meat instead of just filler like most places, which is a positive. Both dipping sauces also paired well with them. However, the fries were very disappointing being too thick and dry. It was worth trying, but would I come back and eat it again? Probably not...

Yelp
Gordon Ramsay stands for good quality food. This reasonably priced combo had fries, fish, chicken, and shrimp. It was good. I would go back again. It's very close to Time Square. We were looking for this place in NYC since we went to Reno and had GR Fish & Chips, so I figured there would be one here in NYC. I recommend this place. I would visit there again, as we visit NYC from time to time. The service was good, and the cashier was friendly. There is not much ambiance, but overall, it is clean place.

Traci G.

Yelp
Joy the cook and order taker was very friendly. Explained the menu options and was very informative regarding allergens and food preparation. the Gordon's combo was fresh and tasty! Very filling - had to take most of it to go. Music was not the best and a little loud in the restaurant but overall a positive experience!

Yelp
Situated right by Times Square, I'd avoided this place for quite a while, assuming it to be a tourist trap for sure. In actuality, the food is quite good. I had the fish and shrimp combo with tartar sauce and southwest ranch. There are plenty of other sauces to choose from as well and packets of malt vinegar and tabasco are available to grab. The order included more fries than I could finish and everything tasted freshly fried and looked beautifully golden. All the items had a nice crisp, helped further by the fact that they weren't excessively oily. The shrimp were large and fully peeled, though the fish was slightly smaller than I'd usually expect. The kitchen is clearly visible and the food took a while to be ready after we ordered, but I prefer this over being served fried items that have been sitting at the ready for a while. I'll also mention that there are plastic forks available if you prefer not to use your hands or the wooden pick included. The interior is almost comical, featuring walls printed with subtle images of Gordon Ramsay but mostly with UK flags. The seating is simple but sufficient. However, immediately upon walking in you notice that the entire place is filled with a light smoke, probably originating from all of the fryers producing your meal. Once you're in the cloud, it quickly becomes unnoticeable, but on a nicer day you might prefer to take your food and eat in a park instead.

Yelp
Ordered: Fish & Shrimp Combo (~$21): 2 pieces of Crispy Cod, 3 pieces of Crispy Shrimp, Natural Sea Salt Chips, and Choice of Two Sauces (Gordon's Tartar and Cocktail) Aya's take: Someone get Gordon on the phone right now because we have a problem. Last time I came here was around the time they first opened and since we were in the area, we decided to grab a quick bite. The Fish & Shrimp Combo was freshly made and ready within minutes. Now my issue is the 2 pieces of Crispy Cod were SO small. It was more like a fish stick. And looking back at my photos from my previous visit or even from the Vegas location, there's a clear difference! Each crispy cod piece comes out to 2 bites at most. It was crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside but there wasn't enough of it to fully enjoy. The Crispy Shrimp was fried with the same batter and the flavors were there. I love the Tartar and Cocktail sauces on the side and they give you plenty of Chips (aka fries) in the box. I wish they would fix the portion of fish given rather than just loading the box up with fries. Unfortunately, it didn't hit the same as last time and the portion was disappointing, but the quality and taste are still on point.
google avatar

Tiana P.

Yelp
It was fresh/ hot can't deny that. Lots of fries but very small pieces of fish. The shrimp looked really plump and juicy but it was more batter than anything. It was expensive but we wanted to try it so we did. We read reviews from the Orlando/LaVegas locations prior. We skipped it in Orlando while visiting there due to long lines, so we made sure to finally try it in NYC. In our opinion we thought it was gonna be so much more in quantity size and flavor but it wasn't. The sauces were very much needed that's where the flavor was.

Yelp
Food was very nice and convenient being next to Times Square. Food came out fast and hot. It was very good and worth it. The restaurant decor is British theme. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The cashier was knowledge with the food and gave suggestions.

Two words, sriracha aioli. That's all I have to say. Thank you me later ;). Fish was good, but the staff was a little slow and the place was dirty. Wouldn't go there again, but food was good for a one and done.

Yelp
The fish & chips and fish, shrimp, & chips were amazing. The mango curry sauce was the best out of the four we tried, followed by the tartar sauce, chipotle ranch, & Dijon mayonnaise. The chips were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. The tails were taken off the shrimp, which is a huge plus. Sweet tea and lemonade were also perfect. We'll definitely be back! Thank you to Joy and her team!

Yelp
So my nephew decided he had to try this before he went back to Florida. Keep in mind we had just left from having dinner at Carmines. The Service was FANTASTIC, I took a photo of the girl who took my nephews order, people started coming in by the dozen and this was right before closing! she handled the crowd very well! Nothing much to the ambiance. This review is based off the biscoff shake that we all tried and it was really good.

Yelp
The food was good. Not enough seating. Only order the fish or fish and chicken. Otherwise you will still be hungry.

Yelp
I was looking for good fish and chips in NYC after my trip back from London. Thought this would be a great place to try, but overall was disappointed by the quality of the food. The fish was dry and small. The curry sauce was great tho, which help saved the flavor. Chips was okay. The milk shake was too sweet and I don't think it match fish and chips IMO. Service was great and ordering over a counter - good fast food option.

Yelp
A fast food chain by Gordan Ramsay in Times Square. I came here during lunch hours on a weekday and there wasn't a long line. Simple menu that offers chips (fries), fish, shrimp, chicken, and shakes. The price is a bit overpriced for a fast food joint. If you're a first timer, I would suggest getting the Gordon's Combo which contains a little of everything. Everything is made fresh on the spot. The fish and shrimp were fried well and tasted delicious. The combo was loaded with lots of chips (fries), which I felt were so-so, nothing special. The chicken also tasted so-so.

Yelp
Had a pleasant pretheater lunch here today. It was our first visit. Attracted by Gordon Ramsey's celebrity, decided to try this fast food version of his restaurant. Though $55 for two is high, even if it is in Times Square and Manhattan, considering inflation and location, it is not unreasonable. With a limited menu, the food is quickly prepared and tasty. Though for my taste, the batter on the fish and shrimp was too salty and I prefer Nathan's French fries over his version.

Yelp
Great spot to come in for some delicious fish and chips. Made fresh. The staff was very friendly and hard working.

Yelp
we were looking for fish and chips and online review said that this place was good so decided to check it out. overall, it was decent but not great and there are better places out there it's a more casual place where you place the order and pick it up and the other end of the counter. there are only a couple of options including fish and shrimp as well as fries with toppings. we got the fish and chips as well as fries with toppings -- both came with sauces so we choose different sauces. the fish was decent but tasted a little frozen and the taste was minimal but was better with the sauces. the fries were topped cheese and truffles and were decent but a bit salty. again, overall decent food but tasted more like fast food and it was very overpriced - almost $20 for the chips and based on that price that flavor should be better

Yelp
A bit disappointed with my experience here but still worth a try if you've never had it simply because of the condiments. #1 sauce that has never been a let down is definitely the curry Mango sauce. I also tried the tartar sauce which wasn't bad. The staff were really friendly and gave us water cups instead of forcing us to buy a drink. However, for a Friday night it was not busy at all and still the order took over 25 minutes to be ready. Normally this wouldn't be a big deal but I thought this would be a quick stop before heading to Aladdin on Broadway. Moreover, the fish was bland I was surprised at the lack of flavor. I first tried this restaurant in Vegas and had a way better experience. At least now that I've tried both once I don't have to try them again.

Yelp
As a huge Hell's Kitchen fan, I was really looking forward to trying Gordon Ramsey's food. Honestly, I was disappointed. The service was slow. The fish was bland. The fries were soggy. This is not Ramsey level food! Not terrible but not somewhere I'd eat again.

Yelp
This place is not the same menu as the excellent Gordon Ramsay Fish and Chips in Vegas. It came with thin French fries, not chips. How dare they call it fish and chips when they serve generic McDonald's quality French fries. I was visiting NYC for a 2 day trip and jumped when I found this place. But what a major disappointment.

Yelp
First time to Gordon Ramsays shop. We literally came out of a theater show on Valentine's Day and saw this shop. We visited because we saw his name on the door. Wanted to give it a shot to see! The cons When we first walked in it was a bit disappointing because it was dirty. But that's how most fast food joints are in midtown especially by time square. Not expecting it to be super fancy. The tables were extremely wobbly and we even moved to try to find a non wobbly one which did not work. The pros Honestly it's my first time having fish and chips. It's not really my type of food but OMG it was so good! It came with 3 fish strips and fries which doesn't sound like alot but these fish pieces are huge! My boyfriend and I shared one fish and chips combo with 2 sauces and it's delicious. Piping hot fish and fries or whatever you wanna call them. I keep thinking of potato chips looking at the menu. The little lemon they include on top with tooth pick to help you to squeeze honestly was such a nice touch. By the end of the meal we forgot about the wobbly table and super satisfied with our impromptu snack. Would recommend if you are in time square craving a snack or fried food! So glad we stopped by! Excited he has something more affordable. Get rid of the wobble tables and it's a 5 star!
