Last weekend John and I went up to Roswell to check out Gracious Plenty, which has been on our breakfast and brunch list for quite some time! They're on the cutest little house that smells like baking biscuits and coffee, while their menu is stuffed with everything from biscuits and gravy (my fave dish they have), sandwiches and burgers, salads, pastries, deviled eggs coffee, a few brunch cocktails if you wish, and of course, build your own BFAST! For mine, I built a crunchy and hearty hashbrown based bowl topped with a runny egg that saturated the creamy American cheese and topped with grilled sweet potatoes, tangy onion, and earthy mushroom! Amazing! But as I mentioned before, the biscuits and gravy have my heart. A rich and hearty dish with a fluffy, buttery, HUGE biscuit in the center and surrounded by a moat of creamy, savory, spicy sausage gravy! I'm still thinking about it today!
We also enjoyed these menu favorites like the Southern burga. It is two juicy patties loaded with creamy and sharp pimento cheese and spicy, sweet pepper jelly, pickles for tang, and topped with some lettuce! So good! John and I really loved the Monkey bread. It is pull apart, crunchy and buttery outside, inside a cinnamon and sugar cake with a superb sweet icing drizzle over the top. In love.
The Deviled eggs are savory egg stuffed with a tangy yolk filling topped with sweet pepper jelly and bacon crumbles. Yum! Johns beast was a biscuit base with American cheese and bacon. Plain and simple but he said it was delicious. The beast you can build any way you want from hashbrowns, kale, biscuit or grits then tops with choice of protein, cheese, and veggies! They also have mimosas with a variety of flavors! I got cranberry, but they have orange, pineapple and more!
The staff really keeps you feeling welcome. Just note this is a small place and a wait is typical on the weekends.
