The Best Karaoke Bars in San Francisco | Eater SF

"For private parties stuffed with songs and scintillating hot pot, there may be no better venue than the Richmond District’s Grand Hot Pot Lounge. There may be no other private karaoke rooms in San Francisco with lazy susans in front of the TV, a sight worth experiencing for oneself. Rent one out to get all-you-can-eat hot pot, all-you-can-drink beer and sake, and plenty of time to belt out any songs you fancy." - Eater Staff

Grand Hot Pot Lounge Review - Richmond - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"There are no windows in Grand Hot Pot Lounge, but the ceiling is painted to look like the sky, so if it’s extra foggy outside, come hang out “in the sun” and get some Szechuan food. Order a few hot pots, throw whatever meats you want into the spicy broth, and enjoy. If you have a larger group, go for a private room and do some karaoke." - Will Kamensky

Read all! The food is so good! I tried almost everytype of beef and all are delicious. Chicken also taste good. My fav is fatty beef. Tender, fresh, soft, and worth with the price of $26/ person for AYCE. Be aware that they still charge Tax(8.63%) and service charge fee(15%). Another price rate for dinner time. They have fresh foods, and good ice cream(vanilla and matcha my fav) I am satisfied with the food but i am not satisfied with the service. The Chinese boy seemed very inpatient and not good to communicate. When I ask something, he just want me to rush and order. We didn’t communicate well and not frequently but the 15% unavoidable service fee is quite a lot for the provided service.

Perfect for a large group. We were a group of 10 and made a reservation for 5:45 on a Thursday night. We had three bowls of soup. One spicy, one mild, and one half and half. We had thought the half and half was a mid point in spiciness but it was actually a pot with half spicy and half mild broth. Next time we’d just order three of the half n half. It was easiest for one person to do all of the ordering and we got a spread of meats, noodles, and veggies. We were happy with how quickly everything came out and the broth was quickly hot enough to start cooking. Make sure you order the sesame balls! A member of our group was in white and the staff brought out an apron to help them from staining their shirt. We all laughed when he told us his children don’t spill on themselves! The self serve drink fridge, variety of sauces, and self serve ice cream were all great. All you can eat and all you can drink for $45 each. We all left super full. One thing to note is they have moved locations so the photos in the red room are of the old space. Make sure you navigate to the new location!

Google
Pretty good all can eat hot pot place in SF. Food is decent and lunch price is 25.99$. I always go here for hot pot because it is pretty affordable.

Google
The place might be slightly dated however, the service is awesome, the food is great, drink all you want such as sake /beer etc. My family is from Hong Kong and all servers spoke Cantonese/English and I’m pretty sure they spoke mandarin too. I went to little sheep first and they forgot to mentioned they only have all you can eat on Tuesday only. Grand Hot pot lounge might is all you can eat everyday. Might not be fancy, but you’re not being charged for the extra fanciness, service was awesome, down to earth, no wait, and and they even have karaoke rooms!!! $28 bucks a person. A+++

Google
Showed up for the lunch all you can eat hot pot experience and left stuffed and appeased. Plenty of seating, the service is quick and there is also a set of serving areas to get other items not offered on the menu. 18.99 for lunch all you can eat Hot Pot that opens at 11am. There are tons of foods offered for any palette. They have many different types of soups offered. All of the soups are very flavourful that you can enjoy with your meal. Definitely worth a trip to experience.

The location is not correct on Google. They have moved to 4134 Geary Blvd. Food was good. However, we had some leftovers, and they said we couldn't take them with us. I asked what they do with them, and the owner said they throw them away. I think it's very wasteful and for that practice alone we will not be returning even though they have good food.

Google
Most affordable all you can eat hot pot + drink in San Francisco. Food is okay for the price that you pay since you can not get this price anywhere else in the city. As of July 5,2023- $23.99+tax per person for lunch and $33.99+tax per person for dinner. They do charge a 3% convenience fee for using credit card or if using cash you pay the regular price. They recently moved and the new location is smaller. However, I do like how it is brighter than the old location (dark).

Google
An SF gem. The last remaining all you can drink AND all you can eat hotpot place, all for $35/person. Unfortunately, they don't do karaoke anymore. Generous portions and great service. The only downside is the relatively spartan interior; it can get a little cold inside and the seating could be more comfortable.

Yelp
Grand Hot Pot Lounge exceeded all expectations. From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. The space is clean, modern, and spacious--perfect for groups or a cozy meal with family. The broth selection is outstanding, and the variety of meats, seafood, veggies, and noodles is top-tier. Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and replenished quickly. It's all-you-can-eat, but the quality is truly excellent. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Definitely one of the best hot pot spots in SF!

Yelp
Had a great experience here. Super fresh ingredients and very reasonably priced. All you can eat for $35.99 flat! You can get as much premium steak, seafood, pork, veggies as you want and even appetizers are included. Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
My second time visiting the restaurant. The price and quality is very good for in the city restaurants. I'm not a hot pot expert so both times, one of our Chinese friends was there and helped with ordering. The menu has a great selection of meat, appetizers, and drinks. It is ayce hot pot and ayce drinks. They have alcohol, Asian drinks, and soda. So I love that they have the variety. They also have ice cream for after. The staff are nice, food comes out quick and is a great place to have dinner with friends and family.

Yelp
Rudest service I've ever experienced on the phone. The person on the phone was rude and I decided not to dine here with my friends.

Yelp
Came on a Wednesday afternoon to a quiet restaurant. I was really craving hot pot but didn't want to do anything at home nor did I want to go to a busy restaurant so this was perfect. Waiter was very attentive and service was quick. Music in the background was great! Loved the sauce station, grab your own rice and drinks! They had an ice cream station for dessert as well. Portions were great! Hot pot was flavorful, produce was fresh. I highly recommend!

Yelp
I love this place! There's all you can eat food and ice cream and the food is so good. There's also free drinks included in the price you pay. A lot of different appetizers to choose from and even raw fish! I like the environment because of how peaceful it is and isn't in a busy area like downtown SF. The service is good and they bring out the food really fast. Would come here again (The pictures were of two different times!)

Yelp
Fun for a birthday dinner with a large group! For dinner, it's AYCE hot pot with all you can drink included (beer, sake, wine options) for around $40 including tax and tip, so it's a pretty good deal. And if you go on the exact day of your birthday, you can eat for free! Would recommend making a reservation ahead of time since there isn't a whole lot of seating inside. Their hot pot offerings were pretty standard, not the largest variety I've seen and the quality was also pretty normal. They have a lot of small dishes and appetizers like honey walnut shrimp and scallion pancakes that can be ordered too. They had a lot of different kinds of hot pot broths though -- we just got 2 pots of the original broth, but would be interested in trying their spicy broths! They also have a small ice cream fridge with 4 flavors of ice cream gallons that are self serve, although the green tea and black sesame flavors I tried were kinda mediocre. But it's all included! Service was quick though, we got our hot pot ingredients and dishes promptly after giving the waiter our paper menu. There's a karaoke setup with mics and a TV at the back of the restaurant, and closer to closing time a group next to us turned it on and went really hard on the karaoke so that made the atmosphere fun and lively.

Yelp
You can't beat $35/person for unlimited canned drinks (lychee/passion fruit juice, soy milk, milk tea, black tea, beer etc) AND all you can eat hot pot items AND all you can eat small plates! They have a bunch of different kinds of hot pot meats and veggies. Their small plates range from sashimi to cucumber salad to spicy intestine. Their sashimi was limited to 1 order but it was actually so fresh including salmon, shrimp, and scallop. Only docking one star since I do think their broths could use some improvement and it's a vital part of the hot pot experience! The house spicy broth was lacking in flavor and fragrance. The chicken feet broth was not bad, but didn't taste very rich. I relied heavily on my dipping sauce for flavor. I'd definitely recommend Grand Hot Pot Lounge though if you're hungry and want to have a good time with friends!

Yelp
The most rude customer service I have ever experienced in my life. There are better hotpot places nearby.

Yelp
Wasted time driving and parking there. The place looks permanently closed. . Update your yelp and website!!! Don't bother calling the number. It goes to a different business.

Yelp
Recently been here twice since they moved to their new location - 4134 Geary (next door to Brothers Korean BBQ.) Great AYCE hot pot experience. Their broths are so good also. The meat selections are fresh, delicious, they give a generous portion. I really like all the other selections like all the veggies, seafood, etc. Self serve ice cream. A bit iffy about this, but you can always skip. Service is efficient and friendly. Ambiance is nice as it seems newly remodeled. Comfortable sitting and nice bright interior. They share same space as Wasabi bistro. No more karaoke at this location.
google avatar

Yelp
The Yelp address and hours are wrong. I submitted the correct address but Yelp didn't accept it. Google has the correct address cause this is the smaller location without private karaoke rooms after the move. There is no Wasabi Bistro (so no sushi) even though the sign in the front says both. I came here for my birthday dinner with 5 other friends, since they have a free birthday meal deal. I live a few blocks from here and always passed by, so I wanted to try it. However, I feel disappointed by the experience. Even though I got a free meal, the bill was still $235 which is $47/person. That doesn't make sense, cause $35/person is supposed to be around $200. I realized the issue after my friends already paid, and went back the next day to talk to the same male server. He said he already included the birthday discount but wouldn't let me look at the bill again. Even with tax and tips included, it still shouldn't have been $235 unless if he added other fees but he wouldn't say what. Like did he added the wasted food charge without telling us. They gave too big portion sizes compared to KBBQ. One of my friends doesn't eat seafood and 1 is watching her weight. I found their menu selection really frustrating how we couldn't specify if we want a small/medium/large portion so we ended up with leftovers. Like I ordered beef balls and fish roe balls, but only 2 other friends wanted to eat the balls with me. I ended up having to eat 6 balls to not waste the food. Overall, I felt too stuffed at the end and the quality of the food wasn't that great except the cooked food. The quality of the cooked food was really good like honey prawns, Shanghai soup dumplings, egg rolls, etc. I was satisfied with the all you can drink selection and enjoyed the sweet canned chrysanthemum tea and canned pearl milk tea. I also really liked the ice cream flavors. He wouldn't let us sing karaoke though cause we don't have the minimum 15 people at this location. There were only 4 tables of customers the whole Thursday night so he could've been generous and turn on the karaoke instead of basketball on the TV. He also didn't say happy birthday and gave us the bill at 8:30pm when it's closing at 9pm, so overall service seems not good. Fortunately he didn't tell us we were there for 2 hrs instead of the 90 mins time limit since there was a lack of customers. It was good to try once but I won't be returning.

Yelp
We came here on a Monday at 4pm and the guy charged us for a lunch instead of dinner even though dinner service started at 4pm. The lunch was around $25 per person excluding tax. There were only about 6 people here all together. The food came out almost instantaneously. This place serves all you can drink, all you can drink alcohol is only with the dinner service. They have soy milk and grass jelly drinks along with other tropical canned drinks and your normal sodas. Unlike other places you have a communal pot. This is more family style than normal hot pot places. Dinner is about $10 more but has more options when it comes to appetizers. The meats for the most part were pretty good. They also have frog legs here which is different. I didn't try it but my boyfriend said it tasted like chicken. The appetizers were pretty good! (Honey walnut shrimp was on the menu) over all pretty good experience.

Yelp
Came here for the first time in a while with a group of friends for a weekend dinner. It was $35 + tax per person AYCE, including drinks and made to order appetizers. We selected two soup bases, one spicy for meats and one vegetarian. We checked off items on a paper menu that we wanted, and they'd come on a raised platter that was placed next to our table. The service would bus leftover plates, cans, and utensils pretty quickly. For sauces and getting non-water drinks, there was a sauce station and also a drinks fridge where we could grab our own sauces and drinks. I had a great time, found the food satisfactory for the price, and the ease of the hot pot experience here to be easy and great. Will definitely come again!

Yelp
Came around 4pm and it was very empty for an ayce restaurant, which was great because there was no wait and the service was quick. Most of the food came out after a couple minutes, couple items were missing but it's fine because it's ayce and you can just reorder. All the food and the broth tasted fantastic. There is a good selection of meats and lunch appetizers, there's even more for dinner. The fridge drinks are very different from the regular restaurant drinks, making it fun and interesting. Would come back especially for dinner

Yelp
came here for Wasabi ayce sushi but they werent serving sushi anymore HOWEVER it was an amazing mistake. the food was really good, you get a lot of each item. sashimi was decent quality for being a hot pot place. they had unlimited drinks and ice cream. the sauce bar had everything you needed, no complaints. overall pretty good
google avatar

Cindy K.

Yelp
Belated post but in my opinion there are many better hot pot places in SF to choose instead. Personally, my criteria for hot pot are flavorful broths, quality ingredients, and a good variety of choices. Everything was just ok and I wasn't too impressed. Also, the service was slow and the place seemed a bit rundown? Sadly would pass on going again!

Yelp
Both the spicy beef tallow broth and the tomato broth are bad, the spicy broth is not spicy at all even tho we added extra spicy sauce and was warned "it's super spicy are you sure you can handle it" and most importantly it's not numbing, and the tomato broth was super sweet especially till later, like there's a bunch of ketchup in it. The meats all look very fresh and they come in decent portions, my friend and I were not aware of that before ordering so we ended up having a large amount of leftovers which I felt really bad about. We tried asking them if we can pay to keep them and bring them home but they denied our requests, and insisted to throw them all away. I think they should really rethink about their policy like they can learn from a lot of other AYCE hotpot/bbq places where they charge the leftovers by grams then they will let you bring the leftovers home since it minimizes the waste and the restaurant is still profiting. Their sake is EXTREMELY watered down. The best items my friend and I had here was the sliced pork liver and the flank steak slices, highly recommend for everyone to try. Generally I would definitely wanna come back since there aren't so many AYCE and AYCD hotpot places around but I do wish they can improve the quality of their broth base and sake.

Yelp
Much better experience this time around! It definitely helped to have an English-speaking wait staff member. I was hesitant because when I was making the reservations, the person answering the phone clearly did not speak English well and kept getting the reservation time wrong. I finally managed to get my reservation across with my rudimentary Cantonese. Booked one of their private karaoke rooms, which includes all-you-can-eat, all-you-can-drink, and karaoke for up to three hours at $40.99 per person. With tax and tip, it ended up being around $53 per person. Gratuity was included for our group of eleven people but completely deserved in my opinion given how hardworking the staff were in getting our orders right and helping us out with karaoke system. Food-wise: No complaints. Good selection of meats and veggies to choose from. We had four sauces to choose from. Option to have two broths split into one pot, but for an additional charge. Karaoke system: They have a basic selection of songs (not dinging points for that since it's not a karaoke place: it's a hotpot place). Main thing to know is that you have to search by INITIALS, meaning the beginning of each letter of the song title. Would have been helpful to have that explained beforehand, but now I know for next time. I think the only part that could have been better was the cleanliness of the place. The bathroom floors were super slippery and my cardigan which I had taken off and had on the booth seating the entire time had a giant chili oil stain along the hem and armpit area, making me think the booth seating had not been wiped down beforehand (dish soap is your best friend). Aside from the cleanliness, our group had a great time and the all-you-can-eat, drink, and karaoke make it a worthwhile deal. Definitely plan on hosting another event here in the future.

Yelp
So tragic they have downsized and no longer offer kareoke rooms:( when I booked via the phone they said they still had a room with kareoke so I was really confused! The waiter seemed impatient with me when I asked about the rooms. We ended up not eating there because when we sat down no one came to us for a while...

Yelp
Have you ever wanted to feel like you're on the set of a Hong Kong crime drama (or perhaps Rush Hour)? Red walls, circular booths under a painted sky ceiling, beaded curtains, and a random terracotta warrior come together to give you a very particular yet familiar feeling of another time and place (but actually you're still in Inner Richmond). Go crazy with the menu here - I was extremely impressed by all the options which were all pretty good and actually fresh. The honey glazed shrimp and green onion pancakes were my favorite appetizers, and we got a ton of meats and veggies for the hotpot. Both spicy and original broths were solid; I especially enjoyed the spicy because it was Sichuan style.

Yelp
We came here for my sister's birthday and reserved one of their private rooms for hot pot and karaoke. You get 1.5 hours of AYCE hot pot, and 3 hours total in the room for karaoke. It came out to be about $50/person with tax and tip included. There's 2 large tables that fit 24 of us pretty comfortably, but if you want to walk around, it gets pretty crowded. F O O D (4.5/5): Of the whole experience, I thought the food was the best. You get 2 pots of broth at each table, and each pot can be split to have 2 different broths. We had their standard house broth and spicy broth. The spicy broth is pretty spicy. We chose pretty much a little of everything, and it was all really good and fresh. The meats and seafood were excellent. The veggies and mushrooms were great, as was the various meat and fish balls. There were also cooked appetizers like honey shrimp, egg rolls, wontons, onion pancakes, and soup dumplings that were pretty good. For the starches, there's rice, ramen noodles, and udon noodles. We had some of each. The sodas and ice cream were self serve in their main dining room. K A R A O K E (4/5): There's a mix of Asian songs and American pop songs, but they were on the older side (pre 2010?), but still a pretty large selection. We found Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Journey, Bee Gees, John Legend, Miley Cyrus, just to name a few examples. The selection menu was a little tricky to figure out though. E N V I R O N M E N T (2/5): The good: I thought the tables where we ate were fine and clean. The private rooms, although small, had really good ventilation despite all the steam from the hot pots. I think they have their air conditioning going strong. The bad: The place is a little run down. The tables had some cracks in them. The floors had a slipperiness probably from the grease. The bathrooms floors were wet. There's only 1 scooper for the self serve ice cream, so you know that scooper's been touched by 100's of people. If you're a germaphobe like me, you have to just leave that part of you at the door, and enjoy the evening. O V E R ALL: Yes, the place is a little run down, but did I have a fun time? YES. Was my tummy happy? YES.

Yelp
This place has a lot of appetizers on the menu. A karaoke vip place in the back. Overall, a good hot pot place in sf. Fav appetizers are the Szechuan chicken palms, crab rangoons, spicy beef dish and the spicy cold chicken. In addition to the variety of appetizer selection, the drinks are also unlimited! The waiters are a bit inattentive but maybe you'll have a different experience.

Yelp
The meat did not look fresh, so I tried a little bit and it was indeed stale and nasty. So I stuck to vegetables and tofu instead. Nevertheless, I was very nauseous and threw up afterwards.

Yelp
Another solo food adventure in the books, and this time it was to the original Grand Hot Pot Lounge on Geary St. in San Francisco. Came in right when they opened at 12pm and they had plenty of seating. Lunch here is a crazy good deal. $27.70 after tax per person for lunch AYCE menu. It doesn't have any many options as dinner but it will have a lot of your main hot pot items. For each pot, you'll have your choice of two broths. I went with the spicy butter broth and the house spicy. The house spicy was hella spicy, the numbing kinda spice, so if that's your vibe, it's tasty. The butter however was my fav, bc let's be real it has butter in it and I love me all things butter. What I enjoyed about this location is that they portioned it out for a single serving so I didn't feel like each round was too much to handle. The meats are alright and good enough for the price. I don't come here for quality, more so quantity on budget. Plus their options for for veggies is pretty good and fresh tasting. I really enjoy their prepared appetizers, like the XLBs and crab Rangoon. The mandarin beef was a hard pass for me though. Still a solid place for Chinese style hot pot. The price alone make its perfect for those looking to get a ton of food for a great price. Coming right when they open, you'll almost never have to wait for a table.

Yelp
Came here for dinner with family on recent visit to SF. This place (well their sister one in Pacifica, CA) was recommended by my cousin who said his parents (my aunt/uncle) had went here before and liked it. My grandmother loves food so why not AYCE hot pot ! This one is located in the Inner Richmond area, on Geary. Got lucky with parking and pretty much parked right in front of it. We had came here "early" for dinner, in fear of it being busy on a Saturday night, but to our surprise, even by the end of our meal, it wasn't packed. Pricing was $22.99 (12pm-4pm) and $32.99 (4pm-10pm). Seniors is $2 cheaper (had forgot my own dad was past 65 and only remembered my grandma. oh well). Their prices is ALL YOU CAN EAT AND ALL YOU CAN DRINK (sapporo, coke, diet coke, chrysanthemum tea, soy milk, sprite, etc - all in cans) Since our round table allowed 2 pots, we opted to get 2 flavors per pot and be able to pick the soup bases we want vs the FIVE FLAVOR one. We ended up trying the HOUSE ORIGINAL, HOUSE SPICY, THAI TOM YUM SOUP, and WHITE PEPPER CHI & PORK STOMACH. The two that "stood" out were the house spicy and white pepper ones. Can't say any of the broths were particularly strong except their house spicy. Unsure which I would recommend either We had a party of 5. Off the bat, we had ordered SUPREME LAMB SHOULDER SLICES, SUPREME BEEF SLICES, FATTY BEEF, FLANK STEAK SLICES, PIG LIVER, BEEF TRIPE, BEEF MEAT BALL, FISH ROE BALL, SHRIMP HEAD ON, TIGER PRAWN, WATERCRESS, NAPA CABBAGE, SLICED TARO, FRESH TOFU, BEAN CURD STICK, HOMEMADE FISH PASTE, HOMEMADE SHRIMP PASTE. Their SUPREME LAMB and SUPREME BEEF and FLANK STEAK came out in 3 big stacks. Never seen it presented like this before. Most if not all places are trying to be all fancy with it all curled to look like there is a lot. But legit, this place was just a stack of slices. These 3 meats were pretty decent. Nothing unique in particular. Grandma said they were "rough" but seemed normal to me for un-marinated, just pure meat slices. The SHRIMP HEAD ON, TIGER PRAWN, FATTY BEEF, BEEF TRIPE, and FRESH TOFU came out on 1 plate, each as their own "pile". There was almost no difference in size between the SHRIMP HEAD ON and TIGER PRAWN. If anything, the TIGER PRAWN was smaller. The FATTY BEEF was interesting. Had a different "texture". Kind of "crispy" in a way. STEAMED SHANGHAI DUMPLINGS were small and soupless. CHINESE HERB CHICKEN FEET were decent. COUPLES DELIGHT (Spicy cold beef) was nicely flavored. OCTOPUS SALAD was nice. Uncle said it was like a taiwan style cold appetizer. Overall, not bad. As previously said, soup flavor could be improved. Ingredient quality is as expected from an AYCE place.

Yelp
Great value for food. Plus free sodas. Can't beat that really. Staff is friendly and food comes fast.

Yelp
I like the idea of the venue, karaoke and hot pot. You can get private rooms or out in the open with everyone else. Price point is ok too. I walk into a dark and unwelcoming restaurant. No one greets me, I stand by the walkway waiting for some direction as the waiters finally wave me in and ask how many then tell me booth 3 and not even walk me to the booth. So I sat down and wait for friends to come for about 10 mins or so and no comes to ask me what I want to drink but come to find it's self serve. My friends make it over and we wait another 10 mins and just drop the menu off. They don't even ask if we needed help with the menu. The menu is confusing but we somehow figure it out. They take our orders tom yum and house spicy I think it was. Both soups taste the exact same but one was much hotter. The Tom yum didn't even taste like Tom yum because Tom yum is usually sour which none of the soups were. We order our meat and veggies and the meat are all completely frozen. They check back on us once but that was it. Point blank, the restaurant is dirty, dingy and the customer service is awful. The food isn't good, you can get better ambience, food and service anywhere else but here.

A lot of food can be ordered so you'd better watch out! Took my family out and they enjoyed it a lot. The broth for the hotpot was pretty good and the servers really try to be as attentive as possible. Sometimes it gets pretty busy so please be patient. The ambiance looks nice, kind of the old Chinese style restaurant. Overall it's pretty good. Bring your family there to get their protein portions on!

Yelp
This review is for the new location **4134 Geary Blvd**. We came here for AYCE lunch on a weekend. This new location offers a much better environment than the old location down the block. Of course parking is horrible, it's San Francisco. No parking lots nearby, so good luck looking for street parking. When we walked in the restaurant, we got seated right away. We were able place our order with the order sheet. There was a self-serving sauce bar and a tiny self-severing ice cream freezer. They offer a lot of hot cooked foods and lots of soup bases on their menu. The soups were actually pretty good. The hot food were really Mehhhh... The meat quality was alright, tons of fat on their beef slices, not the greatest. TBH, there are places out there in SF with better meat qualities. And obviously they were understaff, I only see one server running around the entire time. Be aware that you need to pay for your kids under 5, around $16 per kid!! The server said as long as your kid is under 5 and eat in the restaurant then you are responsible to pay for your kid. Our 2 year-old kid literally had few bites of meat and 1/2 scope of ice cream, so we ended up paying. Definitely not impressed with this place, not with the parking, not with the food, not with the kids pricing. Probably won't be coming back again.

Yelp
Went for a friend's birthday after hearing about the karaoke and all you can eat hot pot. We were a group of 19 celebrating and we ordered everything off the menu. The food was good, broth was great, loved the variety of selection available on the menu and all the alcohol and drinks available. We had such a good time and would love to come again for another karaoke / hot pot night!

Yelp
For an AYCE in San Francisco, the lunch price is very reasonable. The service was not the best, and the food was okay. There wasn't anything to rave about. I liked that it was AYC drink, that's why I'm giving 3 stars. They have a sauce 'table' in the middle of the restaurant with a bunch of open bottles/containers for you to mix your own dipping sauce. It honestly looked too hectic for me, I didn't use it. They also had the staples, peanut sauce, satay sauce, and chili oil, right at the table you're eating at. If it's your birthday, you have to eat with a minimum of 4 people and the birthday person gets to eat free!

Yelp
I'd like to say that I liked this family laid back style of hot pot. I would say it's NOT SUPER Covid friendly but for our group, it was very family style for a little reunion, self serve which we didn't mind with tons of good food. I called early on a Friday for a reservation for 8 and they said we didn't need a reservation and could walk in. I didn't differentiate to ask for a karaoke room which is what one of our friends recommended. There are karaoke rooms where there are tables and a tv with mics for you and your friends to have a private party. That would have been nice but it was ok because we all haven't seen each other for a while. Parking wasn't too bad, there was plenty of street parking around the block and Main Street for a Friday evening. It wasn't super clean but definitely Chinese family style. We pretty much ordered everything on the menu, from appetizers-- dim sum, honey walnut shrimp, fried food, rice, to all choices of soup, and meats, fish balls, meats, frog legs, seafood, and all of the vegetables. Tons of sauces, and they had a larger table where you could get your own bowls and what not. As for drinks, we asked for beer and they handed us a case of Sapporo which we didn't mind and some sake. Theres a fridge where you can grab your own drinks, and also an ice cream fridge to get your own ice cream. I can see where it isn't the most sanitary but it was easy for our group. The servers were friendly and I enjoyed this setting personally. The food was pretty fresh and good and for the cost of price it was about less than $40 per person for all of this for dinner. If you want a private karaoke room with friends to drink and eat, make sure to emphasize that during your reservation.

Yelp
We booked a room for hotspot + karaoke! There were two round tables that could fit around 20 people. The hot pot was all-you-can-eat, and all-you-can-drink wine&sake&beer as well. The food choice was a lot and the quality was good The host was very nice too! Highly recommend this restaurant. 多人可以打電話預約包廂,包廂內有KTV,老闆會說中文人非常nice! 食物好吃選擇多,以後有多人聚會還會再來!

Yelp
I came here for a friend's AYCE/karaoke birthday- as we had a group size of 15 and were looking for a cost effective karaoke/dinner situation. We had no idea what to expect as no one in our group had been to karaoke at a restaurant! When we arrived at 9, there were still other diners there, as I believe dinner closed at 10pm. At 10, the restaurant was private for just our group. The staff was extremely helpful in helping us figure out the karaoke system (finnicky search tool, but you can find most songs you would want to sing). We ate the variety of hot pot options (beef, shrimp, tofu, fishcake, bokchoy, noodles, etc) from 9-10ish and spent the rest of the time doing karaoke and indulged in the AYCD (all you can drink) option. They offered sake, beer, and a variety of soft drinks (sodas, hawaiian sun, grass jelly drinks, etc). Around 11:45, we closed out with raspy voices and very full stomachs.

Yelp
Went today. Yelp says open at 11 but the opened at 12. My friend luckily arrived 11:50 so didn't wait thw whole hour. Walked in and I said hello, I got zero response. Someone in the back came up and I said party of 2, no smile no greeting. Just hand motion to the empty tables. Food was ok. Won't be back because i will remember it as an unpleasant experience. If the food was amazing, i might reconsider. But no, not this place

Yelp
Grand HotPot is a good place for hotpot. We had a good time and ate delicious food. The best part about Grand HotPot is that the drinks were free. There was also ice cream, although I didn't have any because I was too full. I must also say that their customer service is amazing. They were very accommodating and friendly.

Yelp
Food and pricing were good with a lot of variety, hard to find any cheap AYCE spots in the area. However, service was subpar and waiter wasn't the friendliest.

Yelp
Grand Hot Pot Lounge Ratings: 3.3/5 Food: 3.75/5 - We got a private karaoke room for my boyfriend and sister's birthday celebration. My first time here, and I like the idea of the venue where a bunch of friends can come together and enjoy food and karaoke at the same time. The food here was pretty solid, but the customer service is trash, and I agree. See the description of the AYCE hotpot we got here. - AYCE Hotpot [GET]: We got 2 pots and a choice of 2 broths, so we got the house original and the house spicy. The broth was bland and can be more flavorful, and definitely not the best I've had. Their menu is pretty expansive and got a variety of meat and veggies to choose from and lots of appetizers. Some of my favorites include the lamb shoulder, fatty beef, beef brisket, scallop, shrimp paste, fish fillets, and taro. I'd say their appetizers are okay and served in very huge portions, so please skip those and leave room for the actual hotpot stuff. I was impressed with the scallion pancakes, so get that if you want some apps. Ambiance: 3.5/5 - Grand Hotpot is known for their AYCE and karaoke deal. It was really fun singing karaoke and eating hotpot at the same time, but the place is quite old, dark, and gloomy. Doesn't looking like a promising or welcoming hotpot place at all when I walked in. There's also no dedicated sauce bar, instead all the sauces are placed on a table and most bottles are sticky and dirty. The karaoke system is a bit out dated as well, not much popular songs available on there. Price: 3.25/5 - The AYCE hotpot and the private VIP karaoke room is $36.99 per person. People with birthdays eat free, but you have to come on the exact date. The total came up to be around $300 for the 7 of us. It is not the best value in terms of food, but the experience was quite fun. I really like that it is all you can drink too (non-alcoholic drinks only), and that was great. Service: 2.75/5 - I wasn't expecting the greatest service based off the reviews, so I kept my expectations low, but its worst than I expected. Our server didn't really check in with us after we got our first round of food, so basically no service. Also, we have a party of 7 and 2 birthdays, but the manager only allowed 1 person for free, because we needed 8 people. It was not clearly stated on the menu, so we felt like we got a bit scammed but paid anyways, since we didn't want to argue. BLUF: If you are looking for a venue that has food and karaoke, then give Grand Hot Pot Lounge a try. It is not the best venue out here, but definitely the best for the two things combined, especially when you can book private room to yourself. I recommend coming with a large group of people to try multiple food items, since the portions are huge. Overall, it was an okay experience, and probably will not return again unless I got friends that want to come for karaoke again.

Yelp
Good food and service but my walnut shrimp dish came out cold this time! It was disappointing. We always enjoy coming here for a good time. They have a drink area where you can select your own canned beverages and a sauce station with fruits as well.

Yelp
A great hotpot place, huge portions and great homemade sauces. I had their beef, lamb and shrimp, along with chicken feet, scallop, soup dumplings along with a few more things. A fun place, amazing service, and an iconic interior. Their chili oil feels like a warm hug on the inside. Reminds me that I need an induction burner. I can't wait to return.

Yelp
All you can eat hot pot AND karaoke?! Yes please. My job did a team outing here and I was hooked! I come back for girls nights or if I feel like being a pig and stuffing myself. The honey walnut shrimp is SOOOO GOOD!!! The broth is so flavorful but the spicier broths can be a little inconsistent as sometimes they're hella oily so just tell them to cool it on the oil when ordering. You have the option to dine in a private karaoke room with plenty of songs to choose from or sit in the main dining area with no karaoke. The lunch special is like ~$25 or something super cheap like that. Dinner is around $45 and this INCLUDES SAKE. Highly recommend for large groups to stuff yourself with delicious food and have a good time.

Yelp
It is a fun time every time i go! I went with a gigantic party at the old location and got seated in the back room. The food is always great. The spicy broth is a go to. The onion pancakes are my absolute favorite. The workers were also very attentive and fast as well.

Yelp
Reserved one of the big karaoke rooms for a birthday and we were seated in the upstairs room. Drinks and sauce bar were available downstairs. Decent hotpot with all of the staples, ayce menu also came with a selection of appetizers/hot food which were also good. Since we were a larger group I liked that they gave huge portions of meat and veggies whenever we placed an order. Since we were in one of the rooms upstairs we did feel a little disconnected from the rest of the restaurant, which is good when you want to sing out, but it was sometimes hard to get our orders in. I do wish they checked on a us a few more times or had one of the bells they have at kbbq so we could signal when we were ready to order.

Yelp
Food and service was okay, but the price is what makes this place worth it. for $40 you get unlimited food and drinks (soft drinks & alcohol) and for an extra $4 a person you can reserve a karaoke room. overall fun time!

Yelp
Honestly, I'm lost of words! Just please find a different hot pot place. Food: 3/10 Decent serving however soup base is bland--almost like it was just water. Service: 4.5/10 Our server was nice but boy your neck gonna break before you could get attention. Ambience: Found this online, saw lots of great reviews, my cousin and I were exited to try it out. We took uber costed me 38 bucks but the reviews and the photos on the website are stunning so we thought it's gonna be worth it. We arrived, just right on the entrance--clutters. I hesitated but because we've payed bucks for the uber and wanted hot pot, we decided to still give them a try. Me to server, Hi how are you?. Server "how many?".... Floor was slipper (greasy perhaps). Ice cream station--nasty‍ visible markingS of water evaporation on the side. It appears to have never been washed or changed. You'll really see the crust

Yelp
All you can eat & drink hotpot AND karaoke?!!! What more can you ask for? I love the Karaoke VIP Room at Grand Hot Pot Lounge (my friend organizes parties here almost every month)! You get all you can eat hot pot and karaoke for 3 hrs! Their food is pretty decent, prices are very fair, which is rare to find in San Francisco. It's the best value you can get in the city for all you can eat hot pot and karaoke!
