The 13 Best Dim Sum Spots In Philly - Philadelphia - The Infatuation

"There could be two very large wedding receptions taking place at the same time at Grand Palace, and the brides would never cross paths. This behemoth of a dim sum restaurant in Little Saigon is filled with roving carts of all things steamed (like shrimp har gow, pork siu mai, chicken feet, and pork ribs), fried (our favorite is the stuffed eggplant with ground shrimp) and noodled (we love the shrimp and beef noodle rolls). There’s an extensive, seafood-heavy a la carte menu as well. It’s open all day, but it’s ideal for brunch with a big group at one of the large banquet tables topped with a Lazy Susan." - candis mclean, alison kessler

Philly’s Best Chinese Restaurants | Eater Philly

"The closure of extravagant Chinese banquet halls across the country signals a dying era, yet the 2022 opening of Grand Palace in South Philly bucks the trend. Anchoring the bustling New World Plaza in Little Saigon, Grand Palace’s pink tablecloths and red-covered seats make this a festive multi-room venue for weddings and parties, while carts full of stir-fried clams in umami-rich black bean sauce, steamed dumplings, glazed vegetables stuffed with seafood, and custardy tarts make it a staple for weekend dim sum. And if you ask your server nicely, you might even be able to order chef Johnny Akiong’s off-menu specialty, fried whole lobster." - Diana Lu

South Philly’s sprawling dim sum and seafood venue serves roving carts alongside a vast Cantonese menu. The Infatuation’s 2025 write-up recommends it for big-group brunches and a broad mix of steamed, fried, and noodle dishes.

We are visiting Philly and stopped by for some dim sum around 1:30 in the afternoon and were seated right away, no wait at all. I love the traditional push carts; they give the place such a nostalgic vibe. Of course that means you'll have the push carts ladies always coming by to ask if you want more and more and more! You'll just have to let them know no is no when you've had enough. The food was solid overall. Our favorites were the shrimp rice rolls and the beef balls. We also ordered the beef offal, and I was pleasantly surprised that they gave multiple pieces of spleen, usually you only get one, so that was a nice bonus. The tripe was a little tough, but everything else hit the spot.

Very good Food, very attentive service. I don’t speak any Chinese but I wanted an item that I didn’t see on there dim sum cart and they went out of there way to try and help me find it. Amazing staff and amazing food

Google
We attended a friend’s wedding at Grand Palace and were pleased with the service, which was friendly and attentive. However, the food was disappointing. The sashimi was not fresh, and the overall presentation of the dishes was lacking — it didn’t meet the standard we expected from other similar venues. Additionally, the candy and snack bar had mold on some of the items, including the peanuts. Thankfully, we noticed it in time and prevented our kids from eating any. While the service was commendable, the food quality and cleanliness issues were concerning and not what we anticipated for such an important event. We hope they take these concerns seriously and improve moving forward.

Absolutely incredible. Everything was cooked perfectly and quickly. I can't wait to go back. The price is affordable for the quality.

Google
Outstanding as always! My favorite Chinese Restaurant in all of Philadelphia. This beautiful restaurant is huge inside. Even the chairs and tables are decorated in bright pink and red cloth coverings. They now they have a neat full-color, two sided pictorial souvenir menu of just some of the scrumptious dim-sum selections available. I always get my favorites, but can’t wait to try something new each time I visit. I have always loved the clever stainless steel carts that the cheerful waitresses wheel to each table. These are topped off with neatly stacked steaming dim-sum selections. There is even room for plated dim-sum specialties on the lower shelves. The delightful desserts are perfect to top of another yummy culinary experience. There are always plenty of goodies to take home for a second or even third little meal. I can’t wait until I go again!

Google
The place checks all the boxes, authentic dim sum, large variety, great service, nice ambiance, and even parking. They also have a great dinner menu that includes the best salt and pepper tofu, beef ho fun, and Peking duck.

Yelp
I stopped on Saturday just before 12pm. I came here instead of Chinatown because I read it was much larger so I wouldn't have to wait for a table plus they have a parking lot. I managed to get street parking but their lot was full. I got seated right away and served tea. They have the push carts and got dishes immediately at my table. I speak very broken Cantonese but the servers all understood me when I spoke in English too. Dimsum was pretty good! I got around total of 10 dishes for $60. I paid with card but if you pay with cash it's 4% less.

Yelp
I recently attended my cousin's wedding banquet at this restaurant and thought the food was really good! The restaurant was very spacious and was the perfect venue for a banquet. We all enjoyed the food and appreciated the friendly staff who were all incredibly attentive! My only negative feedback was the peiking duck was not crispy at all. I guess with the large banquet size it was difficult to achieve perfection, but it was pretty close to being perfect! Overall, we enjoyed the food and beautifully decorated venue!

Yelp
Looking for good dim sum? Here's your spot! Looking for delicious authentic Chinese? Yup, it's here too. I even celebrated my bday here. Space is huge and I've never had to wait to be seated. My go to items are: Salted fish fried rice - this is probably the best in the Philly area. It's loaded with a ton of fish and the dish is so flavorful Beef chow fun with gravy (or wet) - I not a big fan of stir fry so I always get the saucy one. Love love! Tiny white fish - I'm not exactly sure if the name but it's these lil sliver fishes that's fried and salted. My entire family always have to order 2 of these.

Yelp
Everytime i come visit Philadelphia, my family always takes me for dim sum. It's always been some of my favorite Chinese food. The staff was attentive and quick. The place was busy which is a good sign.

Yelp
Best dim sum around the area. Love that this restaurant still has the dim sum cart ladies showcasing the food. Philadelphia Chinatown does not have good dim sum places anymore. Everything seems to be made fresh and packed full of flavor. My favorite is the snowcap char siu bun, but for some reason it had a strong alcohol taste to it this time around. Very spacious, huge place, and a ton of tables!

Celine X.

Yelp
My go to dim-sum spot! It feels the most authentic to me with the ladies pushing the carts. They understand Chinglish ifykyk lol. Extremely fast service, empty plates were left on the table for no more than 2mins at most. The parking lot was a little hectic during prime time.

Yelp
Grand Palace restaurant is a delightful culinary destination, despite the parking challenges that often accompany a visit. While the lot may be full and tight, the restaurant's offerings more than compensate for any inconvenience. Among the plethora of dishes we indulged in, a few stood out as true highlights. The hargaw, with its succulent shrimp encased in a delicate wrapper, was a definite favorite. Additionally, the char siu bun, filled with savory barbecue pork, proved to be a crowd-pleaser. However, the star of the show was undoubtedly the honey walnut shrimp, boasting a perfect balance of sweetness and crunch. To top off the meal, Grand Palace offers an enticing selection of desserts, including sesame balls and pineapple salted egg buns, providing a sweet conclusion to the dining experience. Despite the challenges posed by the parking lot, Grand Palace's delectable cuisine and inviting ambiance make it a destination well worth the effort.

Yelp
great place to get weekend dim sum in philly without having to go to chinatown the dining area is huge so there's always a table available and they don't try to rush you out either. they're quick to refill waters and the push cart ladies are always walking around so you can get your favorite dish. we also went one time close to 2 pm and they still had the push carts out (albeit w less options)! if you get one thing here make sure to get the pineapple buns (bo lo bao). my family are pineapple bun lovers and these are definitely some of the best we've had. the bread is perfectly soft, the topping is crumbly the way it should be, and they're FILLED with custard. always love coming here for dim sum!

Yelp
Solid dim sum restaurant. It's quite rare to find tradition dim sum places in Philadelphia, so I can appreciate the effort to preserve a dying dining experience. My bf and I ordered shrimp hagow, shrimp siumai, fried oysters, lapchung, and bokchoy. All were delicious and satisfied my cravings. Oily and indulgent; the dishes paired well with jasmine tea. Service was good, and the restaurant was clean. We came on a Sunday late morning, and the restaurant bustling, with most of the tables full in the large dining space. What a nice mid-morning meal :)

Yelp
Grand Palace is a great brunch place for you and your family/ friends to catch up at. The restaurant is large and doesn't seem to get very full, so you should always be able to get a table! Grand Palace offers your usual dim sum experience with hot carts being pushed around table to table. I love this, even though sometimes the food can be cold, this is the genuine dim sum experience! *Ha Cao is a fan favorite of my family's- the tender and juicy plump shrimp, with their perfect thickness of a wrapper, it sure was tasty. *Shumai of course is a fan favorite as well- personally, I prefer shumai over ha cao, as the egg wrapper is super thin, and has a savory burst of pork and shrimp mix. *Honey Walnut Shrimp- of course on the pricier side, but how can you go without ordering this? The table fought over the 2 plates we ordered, and we had to track down the cart, to order 2 additional plates. Sweet & Crunchy, and served deliciously well with their tossed honey walnuts. *Egg Tart: crunchy pie edges, with a soft egg custard *Salted Egg Buns- I love anything salted egg flavored, and anything sweet; so of course this dessert can't be skipped. The warm bun with the oozing salted egg, mmm. Definitely a big hit at our table, we ended up ordering some to go! Definitely will be back during my next Philly trip!

Yelp
I came here for the great reviews! First off the parking lot was a mess. It's very tiny and hard to navigate. Regardless since we came.before the real lunch rush we were able to secure a spot in front. We walk in and were seated immediately. This place is huge! I wanted to find a dim sum place that had carts coming around to you. We immediately were greeted by the dumpling cart and a few appetizer carts. Some carts would skip our table and I was like oh they see our table is full they will come back..the congee one never came back around and the same 3 carts would come over. Now the food: the crystal and shu mai dumplings were very good. The rice paper shrimp were tiny and didn't have enough sauce on them. By the time a new cart came by we were full. They didn't have any carts with noodles or meats which was disappointing. I'm used to dim sum places in VA where they have everything on the carts if not then you would order. Bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. One had vomit in their toilet bowl? Overall an okay place to get dim sum..I suggest going somewhere else. It was also pretty expensive for the amount of food we got.

Yelp
For dim sum, it's not bad compared to Chinatown. There's a parking plaza and it gets packed but it's possible to find parking on your first or second shot. If it was Chinatown, you'd be lucky to even find yourself any parking if you're not stuck in traffic. I came here two separate times and each time, it was a weekend so it was bustling. It's easy to get a seat and easy to get dim sum, depending on where you sat but you could just call over the carts. The dim sum isn't anything to write home about, it's pretty comparable to dim sum you'd find in Chinatown. The options are just as plentiful but it does seem to be more expensive than Chinatown. To get anything, like cold water, you just have to flag down someone but I do feel like there aren't many waiters around. If you want good dim sum and more convenience compared to Chinatown, I'd definitely come here to avoid the headache of traffic, parking, and waiting for seating.

Yelp
I recently dined at Grand Palace Restaurant, a go-to spot for classic dim sum, and found it to be a reliable choice for a satisfying meal. While it may not have reached the level of amazement, it offers a dependable and enjoyable dining experience. Grand Palace Restaurant serves up a range of classic dim sum dishes that are familiar and comforting. From the steamed dumplings to the crispy fried treats, the menu offers a decent selection of options to satisfy your dim sum cravings. The quality of the dim sum at Grand Palace is consistent, with well-made dumplings and good overall execution. The ingredients used in the dishes were fresh, and the presentation was decent.

Yelp
overall rating: 4.5/5 *my go-to dine-in dim sum spot :) atmosphere/aesthetic: 3/5 - pretty typical/standard for a dim sum/asian family restaurant, not particularly aesthetically pleasing but fits the vibe lol - lots of seating - parking can be hit or miss depending on the time you go and weekdays vs weekend service: 5/5 - there are always multiple carts going around that'll stop by your table multiple times - if you decline the carts a couple times, they're sweet and will ask you if you want anything specific and will go get it for you price: 5/5 - prices are pretty on par with most dim sum places. ngl, i have no idea how to read the little paper that they mark down to keep track of what plates you get. but each time, my total has come to about $5 per plate - ** there's a surcharge for card payment food: 5/5 - they have all the dim sum basics, my favs being: - pork shumai - har gow (shrimp dumplings) - shrimp cheung fun (shrimp rice noodle roll) - bbq pork buns - congee - ribs with black bean sauce

Yelp
Pretty good dim sum with carts in Philadelphia. There's an outdoor parking lot that can be packed on weekends, but there's plenty of tables and indoor seating. Dim sum is solid with nothing exceptionally bad or good. Really great service--when you first get seated, they swarm you with carts so you can get exactly what you want immediately. Roughly $25 to $30 per person, which is more expensive than Chinatown.

Yelp
This restaurant has been opened for more than half a year to a year, and this is my first time trying this place out. My family decided to do our Chinese New Year dinner here. We came on a Wednesday night. It was pretty empty! There were only like 3-4 tables seated at most. Very surprising. I thought it would be more filled up. The restaurant itself was pretty big too. We had a room with a karaoke set. I would say it's a pretty clean room. As for the food, it was a bit bland. There weren't much flavors to the food! But not the worst! I have been to this other Chinese restaurant that is just not good at all. The price in here seems a bit higher too. I'm not sure is it because it is located in SPhilly, compared to Chinatown or Northeast Cottman area, those price range seems lower. Service was uhh, alright. I haven't try their dim sum, but would I choose to come back for dinner...? Maybe nah. Note: I was able to find spots right away that night, but that parking lot is usually packed during the daytime. So don't be surprise if you need to drive around to look for a spot.

Yelp
The best I've had in Philly selection is phenomenal and quality is terrific, cart service with great wait staff, clean decor and largest tv I have seen3 p

Yelp
We came here for a late holiday celebration and decided to go all out and preorder the 10 course family style dinner usually meant for a wedding party. So we were excited to say the least. The company was great. The wait staff were attentive. Unfortunately the food was mediocre. What is not pictured is the steamed fish with soy sauce and scallions, which was the best dish! The jelly fish platter was too salty The shrimp walnut had too much mayo The seafood birds nest, fried rice, and lomein were bland We also went here for Dim Sum the week prior and the dim sum is definitely tastier.
google avatar

Jen T.

Yelp
What a weird mixed bag of an experience! The turnip cakes were the best I've ever had. Chrysanthemum tea was great. The tripe, shumai, crystal shrimp dumplings, chive dumplings, shrimp-stuffed peppers, and tofu skin were just okay. Sesame balls were good. But I ordered vegetables and all they had was Chinese broccoli, but there was no garlic or anything, unevenly salted, and it was absolutely drenched in oil (see sheen in photo). It was also more expensive than I'd expected. Service was standard for push cart dim sum, and the interior was a bit jank, but nobody goes to dim sum for the ambience. The parking lot and shopping center location was convenient. Hopefully the evening event food is better!

Yelp
The owner of this restaurant previously owned Kim Sum @ The Saigon Plaza in Cherry Hill, NJ but he decided to close it and move to this location. My family lives nearby so I took them here for breakfast on a Saturday when I was visiting. It was around 10:15am and the place was almost full, by the time we left, it was packed and the parking lot was total chaos. Come early if you can. The food here is decent, there was a nice selection of dim sum to choose from and everything tasted fresh/ hot from the push carts. You can also order rice platters, soups, noodles, congee, seafood, etc. off the regular menu. They do dim sum, lunch and if you're celebrating a special event, this is definitely a restaurant to consider (it's huge!). I'm a fan of their chicken feet (we got 4 orders), sticky rice and all the fried stuff like the glutinous rice pork crescents, sesame balls and taro turnover. Overall, the service was good and a great place for dim sum at reasonable prices without having to drive to chinatown or Jersey. We'll be back again!
google avatar

Sophea S.

Yelp
This place is recently just renovated and changed it named from Saigon Maxim to Grand Palace. It was pretty spacious inside. They did the cleanup good. Came here for dim sum and it wasn't bad as I expected. It was actually much better than the old place. They have a lot of varieties to choose from. Services were also excellent! Highly recommended if you're in South Philly.
google avatar

Dean Q.

Yelp
Big new dim sum spot that took over the huge former Saigon Maxim space. Came on Sunday early afternoon during an Eagles game and it was busy but not slammed. Took a little while to get seated; they make everyone wait in the alcove so it's a little disorganized. However, once we got our table, it didn't take long for the carts to start coming around. The siu mai (both pork and shrimp), pork ribs, beef short ribs and chicken feet here were my favorite. Everything was hot and tasted pretty fresh. My only notes are that the skins on the har gow were a little too thick/doughy and while the black bean clams were good, there were more shells than meat. Other than that, no major complaints. Like all dim sum parlors, it pays to be patient and wait for a greater variety of carts to pass your tables. They have a lot of dishes here so don't go all in at the start. All the workers here were nice and attentive. Prices are a little more than we would have liked but not outrageous; we spent a little less than $70 for two people and got 8-9 dishes. They take CC here but charge you 4% so bring cash if you can. Grand Palace is probably the best dim sum spot in downtown Philly. If you don't want to drive to the Northeast or Jersey, I would definitely come here to get your dim sum fix!
google avatar

Melissa P.

Yelp
Grand Palace had its Grand Opening and we had a Grand time eating dim sum! The wait for a table for 4 on a Sunday at 12 was chaotic, the true hallmark of a good dim sum place. Crowds of people gathered, holding up fingers, 1 guy yelling names randomly, not seating you until your whole party is here. Luckily there's plenty of space to wait, this place is a massive banquet hall with a large lobby. I wouldn't rely on parking because it gets very crowded too. There is a massive screen in the big room that plays karaoke videos and will play happy birthday if you're celebrating. The chairs are covered in bright red covers and the tablecloths are pink and there are giant chandeliers, it really is a vibe. They're gonna do great big events and weddings here I'm sure. They have a bunch of carts and they will keep the food flowing but you might have to flag down a few people to get a drink or the thing you really want. They have all the classics- congee, shumai, har gow, sticky rice, taro dumplings, shrimp cheong fun, egg tarts, and there are interesting things I haven't seen other dim sum places like beef cheong fun and a BBQ pork bun filling but in a curry puff shell, and pork dumpling filling in a steamed bun. About $25 per person and we were stuffed. Pay at the front and save 4% if you pay cash. This place is ALL THAT AND DIM SUM! Go asap.
google avatar

Retna S.

Yelp
This dim sum place is huge. As soon as we entered we were seated right away. They gave you options of the tea: jasmine, green, or chrysanthemum. The carts were walking around frequently. A lot of options. The dish with the organs was not my favorite because it had the distinct smell and taste. My favorite was shrimp with broccoli and candied walnuts. The rests were ok. I didn't see hargow or the sticky rice. Service was great. They changed dirty plates and empty basket right away. They provided styrofoam and plastic containers for leftover. The whole dining area definitely a step up than the ones in Chinatown because each chair has cover. There's a humongous TV at the main dining area, which almost cover the whole wall, perhaps for karaoke. Bathroom is clean with an interesting neon-colored hand soap.
google avatar

Chanthorn H.

Yelp
Food is delicious! This is probably my new favorite Chinese dinner spot. Came here twice already and both times were delicious. First time - we wanted to check out the food to see if it was worth throwing a birthday dinner at. After having a few dishes, we were like yup! This is it!!! The food was hot, fresh and flavorful. There were a few hiccups when trying to book for a birthday party. Came back a few times to discuss prices, packages, etc. Communication with the owners were a bit tough and the 2 owners didn't really talk to each other after I spoke, but everything worked out in the end. Second time was for my wife's birthday. They provided sodas, set up the tables nicely, and had amazing service! Food came fast and hot! FYI - bring cash as they charge a credit card percent fee!

Yelp
Cart dim sum without the hassle of Chinatown parking (impossible). Reasonably priced, but cc surcharge is unfortunate. Dishes weren't as greasy as I usually assume of dim sum. Personal dim sum favorites are tripe, spare ribs, turnip cake, and Chinese broccoli. They meet expectations here. Overall, I would return. Convenient location with parking, near my other favorite stores/restaurants, large and spacious inside, fast and friendly service, clean, and also to try items off the menu (besides carts).
google avatar

Tiffany Z.

Yelp
Went there a week after Grand Opening for their dimsum. It is nice to have more dimsum spots around the area because Chinatown is overcrowded. The restaurant is super spacious and can fit a lot of people. We actually went on a weekday so there were no lines!! The dimsum there were tasty and a lot of options to choose from. Hope to come back to try out the menu during lunch/dinner hours.
google avatar

Jarrod S.

Yelp
Portions sizes for each piece were very large and delicious. The cart service was fast and food was delivered well. Had my favorite water chestnut pudding (pan fried) and it was light and fluffy. First time in Philly and this hit the spot! Try the fried shrimp ball or the Malaysian sponge cake!
google avatar

Celine W.

Yelp
Grand Palace Restaurant is a gem! The convenience of parking and having a supermarket nearby is a definite plus. The spacious venue seems like it could handle some epic wedding receptions. Now, onto the real stars--the food. The chicken feet, shui mai, ha gaw, chang fen, and custard buns all hit the right notes. Perfect balance of flavors--nothing too salty or bland. And those custard buns? Steamed to perfection! The attentive waitstaff just adds the cherry on top of a delightful dining experience.

Roger R.

Yelp
Shu Mai was okay. The soup dim sum was 4 out of 5 and the shrimp dim sum was also just okay. Nothing special. Perhaps try a different dim sum restaurant

Yelp
This was THE WORST dim sum I've ever had. Like previous reviews, food is bad and the service is not great either -- we had to chase down the dim sum carts. As a group of 14, we spent close to $500 after tax / tip / and CC % charge. The venue is huge so I wouldn't be worried about a wait time or going with a large group. The best dishes we got were the chinese broccoli veggie dish, shumai, and the shrimp har gow, which probably came frozen. For $6.50, the scallion pancakes were the worst I've ever had... it was literally drenched in oil and had the texture of a potato chip vs. pancake. The soup dumplings are also miniature in size with no soup present. The most disappointing was the eggplant / mixed veggies dish that we ordered because it had no other flavor than watered down black vinegar with corn starch. As a group, I don't think anyone loved anything.

Yelp
Nice dim sum place with lots of tables and dim sum carts. Dim sum was pretty good, much better than the ones in Jersey where we are from. It has a parking lot that it shares with other shops and restaurants. We went there on a Saturday, the restaurant was packed and parking lot was full. Having a parking lot is a plus in Philly though. The decor is typical of a dim sum restaurant, there's a gigantic screen in the middle playing Chinese music videos. Service was that typical of dim sum restaurant. We went there after the Rock run, but will probably go there again if we have a reason to be in Philly.
google avatar

David N.

Yelp
I love this enormous restaurant of mostly Cantonese dishes. They can easily accommodate large parties. The staff is very nice. We had a large party most recently, but we've also gone just as a couple. There's a parking lot right in front of the restaurant. They have a full bar. Prices are reasonable.
google avatar

Bradley C.

Yelp
Outstanding food at a reasonable price. This spot is great for kids as well with space to walk around when they get antsy. Seafood especially the scallops were the star of the show. Probably best to go with a Chinese-speaking friend if you want to navigate the menu.
google avatar

Erica T.

Yelp
I am a huge fan of dim sum so I requested that we check out the grand palace restaurant for my birthday this year (2022). I was not in the least bit dissatisfied it was the dim sum of my childhood and so much more! Traditional carts loaded with all sorts of delicious dumpling, noodle, seafood, and egg tarts. We were originally scheduled to come for dinner but then discovered the dim sum is only served at lunch. We called and the service was so friendly, gleefully excited that we would be joining them for dim sum. The atmosphere is traditional large banquet tables with a Lazy Susan in the center. Check it out you won't regret it!
google avatar

Stacey M.

Yelp
Dim Sum like I remember...ladies in the cart bringing things by. They will make something for you if they don't have it in the cart.
google avatar

Megan L.

Yelp
Came at opening on a Sunday, unaware of the price change. It wasn't too busy but you could tell a lot of the food had been prepared a head of time and had been sitting. The cart ladies came around often. The baos were dry, disappointing considering the cost (almost $10 per order). Aside from this pic, we got two orders of cheung fun and har gow. Cheung fun ended up being the best thing, it was fresh and hot. Wasn't impressed by anything and the total ended up being over $80, which felt like far too much in my opinion
google avatar

Yelp
Dim sum with the family! Uhh not my favorite place to go a grab dim sum to be honest. Every dim sum dish that we got had whatsoever no flavor to it, just very bland. My favorite spot for dim sum would have to be up in the northeast in Cottman. Servers were very nice and attentive though!

Yelp
Food was bad Service not good Dim sum menu very limited We had three people and they didn't even have the decency to leave three fortune cookies at the end

Yelp
Tried this place for dim sum not impressed. To be fair we got there at the end of dim sum. But they were pretty much out of everything. The only shu mai available was shrimp no pork. In my opinion the shrimp had a funny taste. My friend tried a tripe dish. She loves tripe and in her opinion the tripe was not cleaned properly. The rice noodle wasn't that good. The service was average. If you're paying with a credit card you are charged an extra 4%, so bring cash. I think everything we got was average or sub par. I have no intention of returning. Just an fyi I'm not a new comer to dim sum and have done dim sum in Philly, NYC China town, Chicago and I'm content sticking to my tried and true dim sum place in Philly China Town Ocean Harbor.

Yelp
Great dim sum option outside of Chinatown in Philly. Service was great and prices were good. I think this place just opened or changed management. We came here on a Saturday morning and were seated immediately and given tea and the carts came by immediately. My favorite were of course the shumai and har how. The pork buns were also very delicious. Service was friendly and came by often to refill the tea or with the dim sum carts. Parking can be a hassle in this lot so you may want to look across the street.

Yelp
The service was good and quick 5/5. We got there at 12 noon, and we sat immediately. Dim Sum carts came out, unfortunately all the food was cold 1/5. They may have cooked them earlier, and been sitting in the carts for a long time. The ambiance is typical of a dim sum place 3/5.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere to have dim sum. The hostess greeted us when we entered, but the wait staff were a bit nonchalant, expected of old school Chinese. The dim sum was tasty and huge, which offset their high cost for me. We probably didn't need to order as much.Thumbs up to their chrysanthemum tea with rock sugar, reminds me of my childhood. lol TIP: BRING CASH!! 4% SURCHARGE

Yelp
We had lunch here today. But the dim sum was cold. When I pay my bill I ask the front desk. Why the food was cold today. They told me because the temperature too low. outside was too cold today... Excuse me ...???Is it the reason the food got cold for customer ??? Are we eating outdoors??? Very bad experience...

Yelp
Nice to have a dimsum restaurant in south Philly. Really does save a trip to Chinatown and the long lines for dimsum on the weekends. The dimsum selection is pretty vast and comparable to Chinatown. The flavor I'd say is lacking a bit, and that I like Chinatown's dimsum more. However due to the convenience and parking situation, I have recently leaned towards going to Grand Palace more. I've also been here for their dinner menu, service is a bit slower and food I'll say is average. They accept credit cards but charge a fee so keep that in mind. Overall, I do prefer the food in Chinatown more but for convenience and less of a wait I'd recommend here.

Yelp
As a small business owner, I love to support small local business. I understand it's difficult to run a restaurant and hate to write bad reviews. But If I could give zero stars I would. The service was rude, food was mediocre and price is too high. Would not recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
Brand new dim sum cart brunch and sit down Chinese restaurant in south Philly! Parking in the lot is free but incredibly hard on weekends. Food was good, only bad thing was the Chang Fun which was too thick. Pricing seems to be cheaper than Wokano, Ocean Harbor, and Ocean City. Everything is brand new and clean, service is good. 4% credit card surcharge unfortunately. Dinner menu is huge and will probably put Shing Kee next door out of business. Wokano probably gonna go out of business too. This place will be the new staple for dim sum brunch and sit down Chinese dinner.
