"First off, props to Granger & Co for having one of the most thorough allergen menus of all time. We salute this behaviour and more importantly, we salute how tasty the brunch options are at this Aussie spot in King’s Cross. As well as your egg and avocado classics, it serves things like pumpkin seed granola with shiso compote, coconut chicken salad with nashi pear, and gluten-free bread. Freshly squeezed OJ and Allpress coffee encouraged. " - heidi lauth beasley, sinead cranna
"Perfect for: a perfectly nice light lunch that’s a two minute walk from the station. Sometimes you just want something safe. And this all-day Australian cafe is consistently safe. In fact it’s never let us down. The third of four London locations, the menu at their Pancras Square branch is full of fresh salads and bowls. For a lunch situation we’d stick to the small plates and bowls, and those ricotta hotcakes. It’s not cheap, but it’s a proper sit-down lunch and if you do it right you can probably keep it to under £15." - rianne shlebak
"Granger and Co. runs three Australian restaurants in London, and the Kings Cross location is their third Location. The menu’s the same as at the other two venues, and it’s full of the kind of fresh salads, sandwiches, small plates and main dishes that you’d find at a cool cafe in Sydney - think shrimp burgers, ricotta hotcakes, and plenty of stuff with avocado. Their ‘bowls’ and sandwiches are the best lunches, while at dinner we like to put a meal together from small plates and salads. None of it is exactly cheap, but the food’s consistently good. And the wine list starts at prices that are very reasonable for the area." - Richard Ehrlich
