Brunch offering is great. Hard decision, but went with the Korean Fried Chicken and Waffles. Did not disappoint! Chicken was spicy and crunchy, waffle was sweet to pair. Would get that again in a heartbeat.

I once ate here in 2018 back in my undergrad degree and I absolutely loved it. I hadn’t stoped thinking about it since then. Finally seven years later I was able to come back and have it again. I was here in February for my anniversary and this past weekend for my birthday. Truly truly it was so fantastic!

## Graze: A Madison Must-Try From the first sip of the Sunset Cosmo to the last crumb of the chocolate chip cookie, Graze in Madison delivers a top-notch dining experience. Starting with the cocktail, it was a perfect opener to what was to come. The cheese curds are a must-order. They were perfectly golden and delicious. But the real star of the show was the Graze Burger. Made with a blend of brisket, short rib, and bacon that sat on a sesame duck fat bun, each bite was an explosion of flavor. I was so eager to dig in that I completely forgot to snap a photo before devouring it! To finish, the milk and fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies were the ideal sweet ending. Graze is a standout spot that I can't wait to visit again.

My husband and I came here for brunch on a Saturday. The atmosphere was by far the highlight! The views were lovely. The food was just okay to us though. The cheese curds were good! His chicken and waffle was pretty good and my breakfast sandwich was just okay. The fries were not good.

You pay for it all here, but such a great overall place. We have had brunch her the last few times. Great Bloody and Mimosas!

I hadn’t been to Graze in a few years since moving away from Madison to Colorado, but on a very recent visit I grabbed lunch there with my mom at the high-top bar and was pleasantly surprised—it’s still just as good as I remembered. The cheese curds were spot on (crispy, flavorful, no shortcuts), and the special house burger was totally over the top—in the best way. The space itself hasn’t lost its charm either. It’s housed in a sleek, modern building with floor-to-ceiling windows and gorgeous views of the Capitol—something I remembered fondly and saw echoed in a lot of recent reviews. Graze has held onto what made it great. Still a go-to spot that lives up to the hype.

Google
W O W! This was a last minute recommendation from a friend while we were in town. We were not disappointed! David our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable about their farm to table menu. We tried the Korean fried chicken as an app and that set up fantastic main courses of their steak dish and cavatelli dish. My wife said the cavatelli is one of the top dishes she has had anywhere! We will be back!

My husband and I visited Graze for a date night, and it was an amazing experience. The ambiance was fantastic, with a beautiful view of the Capitol, which holds special meaning for us as it’s where we got married. The staff was warm and professional, adding to the great atmosphere. We enjoyed incredible burgers, high-quality cheese curds, and extraordinary cocktails, finishing with delightful desserts. This place has a special charm, and we highly recommend it. We’re already looking forward to coming back for brunch!

Yelp
Amelie our server was awesome! :) We chose to sit in a booth over one of the tables. They had cute decorations and lots of natural, bright lighting. We started with the cheese curds, which were perfectly fried--crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside, and paired nicely with the ranch dressing. The Nutella pancake was incredibly fluffy and had just the right amount of sweetness. The Korean fried chicken was a standout--crispy, flavorful, and with a nice kick of spice. The waffle was also delicious, with a great texture and just the right amount of crispness. We asked for syrup to go with both meals and it was promptly delivered to us. Overall, a great meal with plenty of tasty options! Would love to try some of their drinks next time. Thanks for a good filling brunch!

Yelp
My last review of Graze was 12 years ago! They continue to rock the restaurant scene. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Graze in Madison, and I have to say, the experience was exceptional from start to finish! The service was standout, with multiple staff members contributing to the wonderful vibe. Everyone we encountered seemed genuinely invested in making our experience great. Overall, the service at Graze made things feel special, with a level of attentiveness that I don't always find at other places. It was clear that everyone on staff was working together to ensure a seamless experience, and I really appreciated that. The food was fantastic, of course, but it was the service that truly stood out. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
I love Graze so much. The menu and atmosphere are perfect for a date, a friends time out or a work lunch. My last visit, I had the Japanese egg salad sandwich because I'm a fan of egg salad and I was intrigued by the Japanese style. It was soft boiled with halved eggs and absolutely delicious. It also came, in true Japanese style, with little sides of pickled kimchi and I think radishes, along with an amazing salad. The green tea I ordered was the perfect complement. The menu at Graze is so thoughtful and tasty. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Best restaurant in Madtown. First of all the view of the capitol is awesome!! Same as L'Etoile without the high prices and marginal food. The staff here is incredible!! Great service and really personable. The food is the star, EVERYTHING our group had was delicious!! We also had a toddler with us and they treated him great. What an awesome restaurant!!! Definitely go here!!

Yelp
While wondering around downtown Madison, we passed by Graze a few times and finally decided to swing in for Sunday brunch...and we are happy we did! Graze is a local eatery that focuses on fresh-made, locally sourced food and drink. For brunch, we started with a few bloody Mary's and then dove into the food. I went with the Korean Fried Chicken Honey Biscuit with fries and my buddy went with the Loaded Hashbrowns. Both meals were cooked well, and delicious! The fried chicken was crispy, well breaded, perfectly fried and coated in that amazing sauce. My only gripe is the biscuit. The biscuit was great taste wise, but the way it was cut with the bottom being too thin made it unable to be picked up and ate as a biscuit. I ended up eating ugh with a fork and knife. The space itself is gorgeous. High ceilings, dark colors, wood accents, industrial seating, local art and massive windows on three sides looking out onto the downtown streets. Service was great as well. The bartenders and food runners were helpful, friendly and pleasant. Overall, wildly impressed with Graze. Definitely on my list for my next trip to Madison!

Yelp
We walked in on a Thursday evening with 10 people and asked for (seating, ok to split us up). They were gracious and able to seat us at two nearby tables with a very short wait. They were also able to accommodate individual bill requests and provide wonderful service. The location is on the capital square. It was a very inviting space. The menu is somewhat small, but very well done. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. I would highly recommend the bibimbap bowl. I had the spicy tofu and it was very mildly spiced.

Yelp
Probably my favorite restaurant in downtown Madison! The atmosphere is always great, service is amazing and servers always are willing to answer questions about the menu, and food is incredible. I love the focus on local and fresh ingredients.

Yelp
Our reservation was for 7pm on a Thursday and I'm glad we made one because it was pretty busy. When I checked with the host, he asked if I minded waiting a moment for a table to clear out because he wanted to seat us in one of the best spots--up by the windows with a great view of the square. I was glad we waited. With high ceilings and a wall of windows, the restaurant feels fresh and open. It's upscale but not in a stuffy way. The options are very limited as a vegan. I was grateful that my server marked up a menu to show exactly what could be modified (though the tofu was mistakenly crossed off). In my opinion, the only viable vegan option is the tofu dolsot bibimbap. You have to remove the egg and kimchi, but it ended up being a pretty tasty dish even without those components. Compared to the other people I was dining with, I certainly got the most food for the least amount of money. But the vegan version of the bibimbap is overpriced for what it is. Overall the service was good (my water was never empty!) and the space is wonderful, but the vegan options are bleak. I've heard they used to have a lot more. I'd love to see some vegan dishes from Graze that have more intention and care.

Yelp
Great coffee, friendly service, tasty dishes. Very cool green decor inside with comfortable seats.

Yelp
I've been here a number of times and it's just very hit or miss. Sometimes I think the alternating of the menu prevents Graze from being a staple. The constant change and lack of consistency is disruptive. Recently I came for brunch and got cheese curds and the loaded hash. My friends got the eggs Benedict and the burger Everything that was deep fried was virtually inedible, just drenched in oil and soggy. Very unfortunate as these were my favorite curds in Madison.
google avatar

Sho R.

Yelp
I took out lunch from here on a Friday. The place was really spacious inside. It was a good place to dine it. Birria grilled cheese was my favorite item here. It was done perfectly with a lot of flavorful beef. Beef consume and a spicy sauce was provided to add to the flavor punch. Japanese egg salad sandwich was a very interesting sandwich. I know it is very popular in Japan, but never found in US. I liked it. I took a side of fried cheese curds, which was ok. I am not a cheese curd person.
google avatar

Olivia L.

Yelp
We came here for my birthday dinner and it did not disappoint! Firstly, I absolutely loved the feel of the restaurant at night. There are floor to ceiling windows that provide the perfect capital view. I ordered the Korean Bibimbap and loved it! However, my boyfriend ordered their graze burger and it was completely raw and inedible. This issue was rectified by the staff but it was a bit concerning considering there was game meat in it. The cookies and milk dessert was the perfect finisher. We would definitely come back to Graze. We loved the night vibes and their farm to kitchen menu options.
google avatar

Mark N.

Yelp
Great place for brunch. The Two Eggs Any Style with bacon and hashbrowns at $14 is good value. The pork dumpling soup is next level good and something different for brunch. The cheese board had a nice selection but I would have liked to see larger pieces. Fried cheese curds were what you would expect. Coffee was good. Service was excellent. Reservations via Tock.
google avatar

Julianne O.

Yelp
This place has a great location right off Capital square in Madison. Plenty of parking garages near by for easy parking and checking out other things nearby. I can recommend this place for before a show or after work for drinks and their small plates! Enjoy!
google avatar

Matt G.

Yelp
I ate here at the recommendation of a work colleague. I booked a reservation the night before. I arrived 15 minutes before my reservation was was seated immediately as the people in front of us were turned away without a reservation. This place could have a nice view to the Capitol building but not all seats have a good view. The menu for this place is small. I decided to go with the Old Fashioned to drink and ordered the Graze Burger which is a three meat patty with Brisket, short rib and bacon. I special ordered it with no onions and the garlic aioli on the side. I added cheese curds for $3 which made this a $29 plate. The cheese curds were good but not quite as good as Old Fashioned. The burger tasted great but this patty was small in size and was wishing it was bigger. The Swiss flavor was noticeable in the compound butter. I ordered a second Old Fashioned. Overall good service, good alcohol content in my drinks, good food, small menu, small portions, OK views. 3.5 stars!

Yelp
Who would have thought Korean styled dishes and cheese curds would be such a great combination - only in Madison! Graze has seasonal drinks and unique dishes that offer a memorable experience. My group shared cheese curds, Korean fried chicken, cauliflower and beets for apps. The cheese curds and chicken were phenomenal. We were able to enjoy the sunset over the capitol as we enjoyed various entrees. Would recommend!

Vanessa B.

Yelp
This place has a variety of unique dishes. I enjoyed the cheese curds, pork belly, and a glass of wine. The view from our table overlooked the capital. Great service and tasty dishes!

Yelp
Amazing experience! Went for brunch on a Friday. Here from CA to visit step daughter at University of Wisconsin and our experience our first. College football game. We had a reservation at 1:30 pm and arrived a little early. We were immediately seated in a nice area of the restaurant street side looking toward the Capitol Building. Not busy at all just because it was still work hours I would think. However, I was told recommend getting a reservation to avoid a wait. We ordered 3 items from the menu, which were very good and fresh. Three dishes were delicious. The service was friendly and fast. Our server was attentive, but not overly so. This was an exceptional dining experience and we look forward to going back!
google avatar

Michelle C.

Yelp
Crazy scrummy. It is a bit of a hefty dollar, but it's that locally sourced goodness so it is justified! The service wasn't the most attentive, but still overall so friendly. A lot more kids around than I thought, no hate LOL, just maybe a tad less fancy than I thought it'd be! Man the Korean Fried chicken was almost a lick the plate clean kind of moment though. Would recommend. It's a Madison Capitol Square classic.
google avatar

Jacquie B.

Yelp
Great brunch in a lovely setting. The cheese curds, waffle with phenomenal vanilla ice cream, maple syrup and toasted almonds were fabulous. We also enjoyed the loaded hash browns, though the dish could have been warmer. Our server was attentive and our meal was served at a pace we appreciated. The natural light in the restaurant makes for a soothing ambiance.
google avatar

Teresa M.

Yelp
We were in for a special brunch event for the art of cheese and, tho I did not care for the bloody mary & the last course was just too heavy for me, it was fantastic! I'd love to head in and try out the regular menu next time I'm in town.
google avatar

Michelle G.

Yelp
The service was really weird and strange. I normally don't comment on service unless you're hateful, which I wouldn't say they were exactly but both my mom and I both felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. We were also one of the few nonwhite people in there. The food was also okay, like good / decent but not amazing or a place I would go out of my way to go again. I really love a farm to table spot so I was really excited to try this spot while I was in Madison, but was so disappointed.
google avatar

Monica S.

Yelp
Servers were nice and the place was cool with huge windows bringing in natural light. Favorite things were the Pavlova and Cheese Board
google avatar

Nathan P.

Yelp
Awesome smashburger, great flavors and ratios, it was excellent. But it should be for $19 (includes fries or mixed greens)...cheese curds were also excellent as was the dipping sauce. I'd like to come back to try the grilled cheese. Cool location next to Capitol, service was great. Magic coffee was interesting, definitely packed a pick-me-up punch, unique taste.
google avatar

Sara P.

Yelp
The food was average. I ordered the steak and it was cooked to perfection but there we so many flavors that it was hard to enjoy it. We got a reservation beforehand. The service was good but the look of the restaurant wasn't what I expected for a farm to table restaurant. It felt like I was at a lounge/bar.
google avatar

Cherise K.

Yelp
I know this is probably going to be a touchy review, but I have not been impressed with Graze's food. If you talk about ambiance, vibe, service, then yes. All of that is *chef's kisses* but food..it's been a miss for me. I love their concept of farm to table and sustainability and maybe it's because I'm asian and this is a fusion restaurant, but everything that I have had here has either been pretty good or not so much at all. Alot of people really rave about the bibimbop, but I think it's because they haven't had it before. Alot of folks like their cheese curds and burger, which are solid but also a necessity within Madison. When you stray away from them everything to me is either trying to be fancy, while lacking in taste. It isn't bland either. It's just, not complementary in my opinion. I've been here over 5 times and my first time, I liked, but didn't love. But since then it's gone pretty down hill. So, overall, if you're looking for a nicer way to eat a burger, seems like this is the place to be. Otherwise, go somewhere else with the price point.
google avatar

Jackson W.

Yelp
If you're in Madison, Graze is one restaurant that's a must visit. The restaurant has floor to ceiling windows with great views of the capital building. The décor is modern with great ambience. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. For appetizers, I recommend the cheese curds, roasted carrots, and ricotta meatballs. For entrée, I went with the braised pork belly and it was absolutely heavenly. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of food and service you get. Please note that they do charge a 10% fair wage fee, which is not meant to replace the tip. So keep that in mind.
google avatar

Chass C.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of brunching with a phenomenal group of women last Saturday at @grazemadison. I opted for the Loaded Hashbrowns featuring two eggs, chorizo, pico de gallo, bacon, green chili hollandaise, and queso fresco. While the dish was flavorful, I found the eggs and chorizo slightly overcooked. As for drinks, I initially tried a French 75, but it didn't quite meet expectations, so I switched to a mimosa instead. The staff were wonderful and accommodating.

J.l. H.

Yelp
Food was fine, ambiance fun. Was this WI Old Fashion worth $17? ... $13 base drink, plus $3 to middle an orange slice and a cherry and then $1 for a squirt of sprite. Hard no.
google avatar

Ellena K.

Yelp
I love graze! Have celebrated so many birthdays here! They have had trouble with staffing since the pandemic, so service can be slow. But they always get you in on time if you have a reservation. Would recommend any dinner specials offered as they are always very delicious, unique, and usually locally sourced! The view is great too, no matter where you sit. Excited they are bringing brunch back and excited for the new menu! Milk and cookies are a great desert choice! But you can't go wrong with anything on the menu really.
google avatar

Kyle H.

Yelp
Not their best night. 40 minutes for apps and then entrees were lacking attention to detail. They came out looking like they lacked attention. The service was ok, but they did not have many answers for the delays. It could be a great spot but it needs refinment.

Fortitudetude ..

Yelp
Clean; vegetarian options available; green-modern feels; clean bathroom; nice but slightly confused/novice staff Bibimbap - wish there were more ingredients and tofu was fried. Some crunchy rice at the bottom was a good choice. Not spicy. Would try something else if I go again. Beets burger - decent taste. Did not miss having a meat patty. Good portion. Strangely ran out of iced tea. Despite being one of the first customers during the daytime and it being around the busy graduation season where heavy foot traffic would be anticipated

Yelp
I was in Madison, Wisconsin for a work conference back in June and Madison didn't disappoint. Graze was such an eclectic space and their food was so good. I had the Korean bibimbap, cheese curds and the summer lemonade. I loved the bibimbap so much. It was super flavorful and had that great, umami flavor that Asian cuisine is known for. The lemonade was refreshing and the cheese curds were such a delight. I enjoyed the open, bright restaurant. The open floor plan, high windows and clean setting was very chic, welcoming and comfortable. The service was also excellent.
google avatar

Carrie M.

Yelp
Duck fat bun!!!!???? You bet! I'm obsessed. The flavors in this sandwich were dynamite!!! The Calabria chili aioli!!!!???? I want it on everything I eat from here forward!!! Service was great, and the mimosa was a chef's kiss addition to my brunch.

Joshua D.

Yelp
Very bland. Went for brunch. The Potatoes were not cooked completely through. Very disappointed.
google avatar

Alice F.

Yelp
One of my favorites in Madison. Definitely my favorite cheese curds in town! Beautiful location on a sunny day for a leisurely lunch. Service is friendly and I appreciated that even though we were their last table at lunch, we didn't feel rushed. In addition to the cheese curds, my favorite was the bibimbap with the crispy rice cakes, and the warm chocolate chip cookies. Always a good choice in downtown Madison!
google avatar

Kyla B.

Yelp
Went out to Madison to visit a friend and she recommended graze. I was so impressed initially walking it with the glass windows and very modern feel. It felt like a slice of New York. After sitting down for brunch I knew I wanted cheese curds ($10)they smelled amazing and did not disappoint. As the staple of Wisconsin these are a must. The burger ($19)was great but was pretty standard, the fries though were fresh cut and super crispy. The chicken ($19) was the standout. On a fresh biscuit and covered in hot honey with a slight Asian twist. I would come back over and over for that. The waffle ($12)was good but again pretty standard nothing bad but nothing outstanding. The mock tail was incredibly tasty. It was called unhinged and was a phenomenal mix of hibiscus, black pepper, cardamom, lemon, cherries, and ginger beer. I could have drank like 3 more it was so refreshing. The service was great we were constantly checked on and asked if we needed anything. What's great about this place also is it's farm to table so it really feels like an elevated experience and I would totally go again! 5/5

Lori C.

Yelp
Lovely restaurant, great food highly recommend. Cheese board included some wonderful options and the service was amazing.
google avatar

Corbin B.

Yelp
Stunning interior and view. Basque cake and sour cream ice cream was phenomenal. Really like the kohlrabi salad as well, lots of heat. Ordered a steak cooked very nicely, but thought the melted cheese on the shishitos was a little misplaced. Pork chop tonkatsu was excellent. Will definitely return and eager to try more cocktails and the burger.

Amanda L.

Yelp
Outstanding food celebrating local ingredients. We love all meals here but recently came for brunch, and it was my favorite visit to Graze. We got house made Bloody Mary's with local beer chaser, Black Kale Caesar, Dolsot Bibimbap, Torrijas - Spanish French Toast with the cinnamon-orange crème anglaise and honey, and Belgian Waffle with icecream and almonds on top. WOW. I have just thinking of coming back since we left.
google avatar

Olivia W.

Yelp
The service has been excellent every visit. The interior is also nice with the floor to ceiling windows letting in ample natural light. The food menu is seasonal and somewhat limited, which I like, but may be a negative for other people. The best thing on the menu in my opinion is the basque cake with sour cream ice cream -- truly outstanding.

Nackey P.

Yelp
Ambiace is good. The fried chicken was mediocre. The bimbap was very good. Service was good.

Gregory H.

Yelp
Top notch cuisine and a must try if you are in the Madison area. Wait staff very friendly and accommodating. The view of the capital adds to an already superb experience.

Tammi R.

Yelp
More displays for in stock items. More deals for multiple item sales. Mor available and eager to sell sales people on the floor.

Stephen G.

Yelp
Pure junk.Dinner time.I sat at the bar and was ignored by the man and woman on duty. It appeared as though they were unhappy with each other. It was long enough that I should have left. But (just in time) I ordered one almost not even full warm beer and 2 double cheeseburgers .I could not even Finnish one.The overwhelming taste of high fructose corn syrup brought me to the conclusion that these people are complete amateurs. You have a problem thinking if you believe that this is acceptable.I gave the unfinished crud and the whole crud to a homeless man on the square ,it was good to a man who has never eaten good food.
google avatar

Becca R.

Yelp
Average food. Our group had dumpling soup, cinnamon roll, cheese curds, smashburger and loaded hashbrown for brunch. We ordered a Bloody Mary, magic coffee and espresso martini. The magic coffee was good but rich. The espresso martini can't even be called that. The Bloody Mary needs more spice and flavor. Beautiful views and clean place.
google avatar

Tara Z.

Yelp
We reserved a table at Graze for dinner and drinks Wednesday evening. They were able to tend to our needs quite well. Graze is one of my favorite restaurants in Madison! The food is absolutely delicious! We started with the pan roasted brussels sprouts they were roasted with bacon, dried cranberries, in a vinaigrette. - Absolutely delicious He had the Seven Seeds Pork Belly Carnitas, the marinade was wonderful. I had the Bibimbap with tofu & sauce on the side. Every bite was delicious. The high ceilings with the big windows give a feel as if you were outside downtown. In the evening you may catch a reflection of the Capitol off of another building it looked amazing if you sit near some windows you can see the Capitol directly. Very nice, I would return.

Breanna U.

Yelp
Had the peanut butter burger and it was AMAZING!!! Gorgeous view of the capital from our seats just added to the experiences.
google avatar

Shine B.

Yelp
We came for brunch on a Sunday. The eggs Benedict was served cold and was ok. The micro green salad served on the side was excellent. The French toast with orange sauce was kind of gross. Sort of like overly fried very moist churros. I wouldn't recommend it. The cinnamon roll was delicious as was the mocktail. Atmosphere was great!
