"Chocolate and coffee shop by day, Tempered Fine Chocolate transforms into something out of the French underground at night. They trade frozen hot chocolates for absinthe cocktails under a green light in a quiet area of Germantown. The cocktails here are good—shout out to The Milk of the Poppy with pisco, orgeat, and egg white—but the real highlights are the flights: three absinthe pours served with sugar cubes, fancy spoons, and paired chocolate truffles. Come when you’re feeling extra sultry and want to sip on something sophisticated while you engage in conversations that are the opposite." - Ann Walczak

Google
SUCH a good date night spot. We got a flight with absinthes paired with chocolates. No, absinthe isn't my favorite drink, but the novelty was fun, and I hear their cocktails are great. Outside seating is perfect for laid back cafe vibes.

This was my first time, and I truly enjoyed the space. Jordan and Jeremy were the best. You can tell they LOVE what they do. Hand crafted cocktails, absinthe flights, and handmade chocolates to pair with drinks or eat alone. Lighting was low, nice intimate, or grab a drink with friends, and the music was great. Will definitely be going back again. Check them out.

I experienced a must amazing time here last week on my visit from California. Jeremy took great care of our party of 4 and we did a few absinthe flights. Though the space is small and can get quite busy, we found the intimate string perfect for our quartet. The designer cocktails were a hit and by nights end everyone was chasing the green fairy. I hope to return soon.

The Green Hour is a bar run on big ideas and thorough execution. Jordan and Jeremy run a tight ship and push boundaries in the way of mixology, food pairing and experiential drinking. The menu is reworked and has plenty of non-absinthe drink options for those who don’t like a licorice flavored alcohol. Odds are good it’ll be the best version of that drink you’ve ever had. The staff at the shop is a blast to hang out with and there’s always a diverse group of characters hanging out at the bar. I advise getting there early, because the place is very small and it doesn’t stay empty for more than a few minutes after opening, and seats don’t open quickly with the quality of product they’re putting out there. Be patient with the staff, they usually only run a staff of 2-3 people but work extremely hard to make sure everyone has a good time. If they could seat everyone, they would seat everyone. They’re extremely kind and tolerant, but they also have to work with a limited space. This isn’t a bar on Broadway; great things take time. As long as you go in with an open mind and the intent to try something new and exciting, you’ll have a great time.

My favorite bar in Nashville! The drinks are fun, unique, and versatile. Jeremy and Jordan are a dynamic duo that are masters at their craft and truly passionate about offering the best experience. I always recommend Green Hour.

Google
Original, imported Absinthe, fun atmosphere, and staff. This is considered a Speakeasy in Nashville. The location is in Germantown, and is a chocolate shop by day called Tempered Fine Chocolates. There is plenty of street parking right across the street. You can get an Absinthe flight, where you choose the flavors and pair with Chocolates for a tasting. The dilution process is quick and sugar cubes are provided to taste.

Google
Cool place, very unique and creative. The service could be better, sat without water in the fountain the whole time only for it to be taken from the table at the end but it’s okay. The drinks and the atmosphere were incredible. Service is really the only problem I had. I’m not from the area but I wish there was a little speakeasy like this where I’m from.

Delicious cocktails and chocolate. Jordan and Jeremy were great. Highly enjoyed our time there!

Yelp
Never a bad hour to hit up the Green Hour | we arrived right before it got BUSY and we were grateful to snag an empty seat outside on the small dog friendly patio. We ordered our chocolates and our cocktails inside then waited outside at our table for our order. We loved the chocolate truffles - each one super unique and tasty but not too sugary sweet. The two cocktails came out shortly after - both of which were excellent. I especially liked the Charred Hive, which came with a mini fire show, torching the rosemary. The mares de flores was also a pretty cocktail. While we loved the chocolates and the cocktails, even more so was the company. We did a lot of people watching with others sitting around us and it made us feel comfortable and like locals. As we were leaving, we noticed it got super busy and packed inside, so we were thankful to have scored our seat outside. Next time, I'll be back for the absinthe experience. Until then, I'll always remember that fun night out in Nashville sipping on cocktails and commenting on passersby at the Green Hour.

Yelp
I love this place. The service is always excellent (I forget his name but the buzz-haired blonde bartender is super nice) and the absinthe/truffle flight is a tough experience to beat. I've had memorable experiences bringing out of town friends, relaxed dates, and hangouts with friends. It feels like a nice excuse to dress up a little bit and feel fancy, but that's definitely not required. For anyone looking to try absinthe for the first time, or anyone interested in comparing a few varieties head to head, this as a must visit. One of these days I'll try the cocktails instead of doing the flight, but the lure of chocolate is just too strong.

Amanda M.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite cocktail bar in Nashville because of how hidden it is! If you know, you know. I love bringing people from out of town because it is such a unique experience. During Green Hour, it's very dark and quite but is a great place to catch up with old friends and taste unique cocktails and truffles. They use the Dutch-Style Absinthe Fountain which they explain if you're new to the technique. The fountains are authentic and a little antique so I highly recommend getting an Absinthe drink. Feel free to ask what characteristics the absinthe has, they can have different rates. You can even try a flight if you want to experiment. The tables inside are limited, but that just adds to the quaint ambiance. You can forget you're in Nashville TN when you're here. Feels like Sherlock Holmes study or something. There is something for everyone, even if you're not into Absinthe (it's like black licorice), since it's not for everyone. The servers are so informative and will help you decide what to get based on your preferences. Each drink has its own truffle pairing for a couple more dollars, that compliment each drink so perfectly. By day, Green Hour is a chocolatier called Tempered, so they know what they're doing. This is a must-see in Nashville!

Amanda N.

Yelp
We didn't plan to visit here but needed to kill time before dinner. It is a chocolate shop by day, absinthe bar by night. It looked like one of those places where you would be met with total pretentiousness - but that couldn't be further from the truth. I'd never tried absinthe and the sever was so kind and walked us through the experience. She didn't hover - showed us and then let us experiment. It was SO fun. They paired it with chocolates that were incredible (I seriously had to pause for several minutes after biting into one). The bartender even came over afterwards and chatted with us about the history of absinthe. If you're looking for a fun adventure - definitely try this place!

Sherrill T.

Yelp
This is one of the coolest bars in the city. Chocolatier by day, absinthe lounge by night, The Green Hour is a speakeasy type with drinks that will put some pep in your step. The interior is intimate and gorgeous with a green hue (obviously), and the bartenders are family! All of the drinks are named after random family nicknames or events which I think is so unique! If you're looking for a hidden gem type of night out, check out this Germantown little stop. You won't regret it!

Concetta D.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this gem after dinner in Germantown and it was a great find! The concept is an absinthe bar meets chocolate bar. So you have options for absinthe flights paired with magical chocolate truffles. It was the first time I've ever had absinthe, but the staff is great and knowledgeable and will help guide you through the process. Absinthe is similar to sambuca, a liquor with a black licorice taste. In this case they all have a different layer of depth depending on where they are from and how much sugar and water you add. If If i haven't convinced you to try absinthe, they do have a few naughty and nice cocktails...no vodka though. Also, the chocolates need no review, they are amazing! Go for the pairing, you won't be disappointed! Would be ideal for small groups (4) or a cute date night cap for date night. The space isn't big but does have some outdoor seating as well. Overall, very cool experience and great vibe! Even if you're not in the area, it's definitely worth it to make it a destination during your time in Nashville!

Joseph S.

Yelp
Interesting experience, cool atmosphere. Service was very good and staff was very knowledgeable on all things absinthe. Would go back for the chocolates!

Kelsey B.

Yelp
I really enjoyed this place. The drinks were amazing, and I loved that each drink had a truffle that went perfectly with it. Give it a try if you love cocktails and chocolate!

Jazmin W.

Yelp
Pretty dark lighting inside and very cold. The service was a little slow, we waited about 20-30 minutes for our server to come and another 10-15 minutes for the drinks to come. It was a really cool experience for first time absinthe drinkers. The server was really knowledgeable and helpful when it came to explaining how everything works. The truffles were really good, they had a nice balance between bitter and sweet. The strawberry lemonade was my favorite. If you like a more bitter chocolate, the matcha one is a good choice.

Lisa S.

Yelp
First time here and the atmosphere was relaxed, yet quite lively. Service was very slow the night we were here. Drinks were amazing, so we'll definitely be back.

Brad W.

Yelp
Drinks and service were both fantastic! We will definitely be coming back for another visit.

Bob E.

Yelp
First off, I'm not a fan of absinthe, but I would HIGHLY recommend going for the knowledge and experience. The staff is SUPER knowledgeable about absinthe and can give you recommendations if you are new to trying it out. This is located inside Tempered Fine Chocolates and all the absinthes are paired with a chocolate truffle for the flights of absinthe. I would recommend getting there early because this place is small and can get packed quickly. My wife and I have visited twice: one time on a date and another with an out-of-town friend. I would recommend this to anyone for the experience of trying absinthe.

Chloe J.

Yelp
Such. A. Great. Experience. You must come here and get the flight with chocolate pairing. Incredible service. Our waiters even provided a palate cleanse prior to the flight-super fun and different. 10/10 would recommend if you're local or visiting !!

Debi S.

Yelp
It's easy to miss this place in town but I'm so glad a friend talked me into checking it out one evening. It turns from a chocolate shop into a bar at night - what a cool concept! And it's even better that you can pair truffle chocolates with the different cocktail options on the menu. If you're a true absinthe lover then this is the place to go in town. It's also perfect for the chocolate lovers. If not, rest assured that there are plenty of other options. A fun way to end your evening! There is street parking as well as a paid lot across from this spot. The music gets louder as the evening progresses.

Alyssa M.

Yelp
What a cool hole in the wall place. There was only 4 tables on the inside, and 2 or 3 tables on the little patio. They have some crazy, cool cocktails that can all be paired with a truffle. Doing your own Absinthe drink is interesting, and the concept behind it is fun. The server was really nice and informative on our questions about drinks. Be prepared with an open pallet if you are planning on coming here! They are open Thursday-Saturday so make sure to plan for that.

Carin R.

Yelp
The dimly lit atmosphere sets the mood instantly. We were there on vacation and so glad someone told us to go. It's a chocolate specialty shop during the day and a bar with speakeasy vibe at night. We both ordered the Absinthe flight paired with chocolates. There were so many choices we let the bartender choose for us. If I was a local to the area, this would be my spot. It's good for a date, to hang with friends or just sit there and read a book. Do not miss this opportunity of checking out this places, especially if you are an Absinthe Lover.

Mary Kate E.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised by our experience. I think the positives of this experience is that Green Hour is both an absinthe bar + chocolate place, Tempered Fine Chocolate. I definitely feel this was one of those 'I have to experience this once' type of ordeals. I am not saying I wouldn't return because that is totally not the case. But, if you're looking for an 'experience when in Nashville', this is something I would recommend to people because it does offer something different and unique. Plus, I don't foresee people running to an absinthe bar when they think of the Nashville experience stereotypes. What I can say is I am not one who is crazy in love with absinthe. I think the concept is cool. What I appreciated is that the server came to our table, and gave us the lowdown on the history of absinthe and why they operate in the way that they do. They run you through what they think you would enjoy, and what chocolate they think might go well with what you order. The chocolate is not a requirement, but it is a damn bad decision if you forego not having their sweet offerings. If you come here, plan to arrive early when they first open. Why? It can easily get swarmed with people and that can be a bit claustrophobic when inside the small establishment. Admittingly, the pandemic has crippled me from wanting to be in small establishments near hoards of people. Green Hour utilizes every last inch of this space and they have it set up very well. Unfortunately, during our time here, there was a very large party who walked in and dominated several of the tables and the amount of sound they made caused us difficulty from hearing one another despite sitting next to each other. It's a trendy place that has been around since 2015. If they can make it through a pandemic, a tornado, and staffing shortages; well - they must be doing pretty good for themselves. I am looking forward to returning. It might just have to be on a different night of the week than what we did the first time.

Parita A.

Yelp
An absinthe bar! How cool! The ambiance here is great. It's a hidden gem in Nashville with delicious cocktails and truffles.

Vijay S.

Yelp
Cool spot for trying out absinthe and cocktails! Not exactly a speakeasy but great ambiance nonetheless. A number of the cocktails were dessert themed, so it is a perfect spot for a night cap or just as a date spot by itself. Loved the happy hour cocktail. Excellent selection of gourmet chocolates. Also tried la muse verte absinthe. You've to put a sugar cube on spoon and melt it on top of the absinthe with water to get it to a milky consistency. Enjoyed the music playlist. Overall great place for absinthe, cocktails and chocolates.

Elizabeth H.

Yelp
Since I was here on a first date, I passed up the absinthe for a more reasonable proof with the Royal Street cocktail. If you follow my reviews, you'll know I'm a sucker for interesting whiskey cocktails, and this fit the bill with rye whiskey and cognac (another personal favorite liquor, I enjoy brandy and cognac cocktails immensely). The glass had an absinthe rinse which added a crisp anise flavor to the drink, and the blueberry bitters and blueberry garnish complemented the rye whiskey really nicely. The atmosphere is intimate and retro, with absinthe decanters repurposed to hold ice water and ambient green lighting adding to the mood. It might be a little tough to get a seat because it does get busy, so come early if you are meeting someone. Of course, I had to try some chocolates from Tempered and of those, my favorite was the dark chocolate citrus balsamic truffle. The cocktail menu has pairing recommendations for each drink, so if you're lost, I would start there.

Jadyn L.

Yelp
This place has a cool vibe to it. We all got cocktails and did some of the tasting. The cocktails were good but warning some of them are very strong. The servers were friendly and efficient. Overall a good time!

Lily P.

Yelp
this fun spot was amazing! randomly stumbled upon it while researching a fun place to get a cocktail. the staff were super kind and even gave my friend and i some free chocolates! cocktails were great for the price as well. can't wait to come back here!

Tori S.

Yelp
This place was genuinely an experience. I can't necessarily say I'm on the Absinthe train, but going here was fun. Our bartender really explained everything so we didn't feel like we just had no clue what was going on. It's such a cool vibe. The chocolate pairings definitely help especially because the taste is a little on what I guess is the bitter side. They offer other cocktails as well so you can always defer to one of those but I would always recommend anyone going to try the little absinthe trio that you can make. Check it out !

Lyna M.

Yelp
This is a cute, dark intimate ambience kind of feel place. The cocktails is good and strong and when you pair it with the truffles it makes it even better. Nice hidden spot.

Sam T.

Yelp
Go as soon as you can! The Green Hour in the evening is turned from a chocolate store to the cutest cocktail bar. Atmosphere is very unique and cozy. Cocktails were all delicious. If you want to try absinthe, they offer this service as well. If you're sharing, definitely go for the flight and have the bartenders give their top choices. My friends tried a few different types of cocktails: nice gin (3/5), nice rum (5/5), nice vodka (4/5) Service is unmatched (10/5!). One server for all the tables. She was very attentive, fun/upbeat, and helpful for our decisions. We went with a group of 6 and were very lucky to find a table that had people just leaving. While there, we saw many people come and go due to having a lack of space for them. It's worth looking inside to see if you can snag a spot.

Clayton C.

Yelp
Definitely one of the cooler hidden gems in Nashville. I didn't even know we had an absinthe bar! It's on the beaten path but kind of tucked away, as it's unassuming and easy to miss. The vibe, though, is top notch! Just look for the green lights on the outside patio and hop inside for an absinthe drip to get the full experience. For those looking for more traditional drinks, they also serve wine and cocktails, and they make a killer espresso martini. Highly recommend! Deliciously, Clayton Cohn

Jason K.

Yelp
So cool, you won't even cut off your ear. Vibe, darkness, milkiness, greenness. Enjoy.

Elsa G.

Yelp
An absolute dream of a place. From the intimate French vibe to the diverse crowd, I cannot get enough. The absinthe experience is a must. We've tried flights to help us determine our favorite one. The cocktail menu is also of the highest quality. I'm so thankful for this place. Très magnifique!

Kiley K.

Yelp
Perfect spot for date night! The place is small but cute and they make good use of the space they have. We opted for the patio. The bartender was helpful in selecting the drinks, the Green Hour and Be El Em. We wanted cocktails instead of the flights but were sad about missing out on a chocolate pairing. The bartender said he could pick out some complementary truffles for our cocktails--wow, was he right! The blood orange truffle tasted great with the citrus notes in the Be El Em, I could have eaten many more! The raspberry? truffle totally changed the flavor of the Green Hour, in a surprising but very delicious way! Such a fun concept to serve chocolate with liquor, loved it! We'll be back!

Thad B.

Yelp
TGH is one of those oddball spots that make me forget that I'm in Nashville. I'm not sure if that speaks to the monotony of Nashville, the quality of this bar, or the fabled psychedelic properties of absinthe. In any case, I'm here for it! The vibe is really what places this drinkery at such a high star for me. While they may have beer and wine options, you want to stick with absinthe tasters or cocktails. The bar tenders are knowledgeable, 'hip', and efficient. This spot is made for date night, or catching up with one or two friends. Stiff cocktails and truffles is a panty dropper if there ever was one. Don't try to drag your entire broadway crew into a small speakeasy! CHOCOLATE... DELICIOUS CHOCOLATE.

Kelley B.

Yelp
What a fun place! Went with friends and was not disappointed. It's a little hole in the wall place in Germantown that shares space with a chocolate place called Tempered (during the day then switches at night). We tried the heritage and the butterfly Absinthe. What an experience! They bring out this fancy tower of water with 4 spigots that you use to water down the liquor that comes in a glass. You put a filter on top of the glass, a sugar cube on top of that, the direct the water flow over the suger for it to melt into the glass. The combination turns from clear to milky during the process. I'm not a fan of licorice but I tried it anyway. It definitely had great undertone flavors, but the licorice was too prominent for me. Loved the experience though. I then ordered a bartenders choice with rye whiskey and a sweet full flavor. It was excellent and just what I was wanting. I also tried two of the truffles from Tempered that are available at the bar as well. The dark chocolate and the raspberry Cabernet were very tasty. The service was excellent and the feel of the bar was intimate and old-timely. I loved it! Will be back.

Tatiana M.

Yelp
My friend got his flight before we even got our waters, he finished his entire flight & chocolate and my drinks still didn't come out. The server Ally kept ignoring us when we tried to ask for service. The couples who came after us got their entire order before we even got our drinks! Drinks were delicious but just this place requires better service & manner. Hour wait for my drink! Will not come back

Emily P.

Yelp
Very cool spot for unique absinthe cocktails. It's a small place but has dark and cozy ambiance. The staff were great with helping us choose the right drinks and I could tell they were very knowledgeable about the menu. I would definitely go back and try some of their chocolates as well.

Maggie C.

Yelp
The BEST mocktails I've had. It seems funny to review an absinthe bar when I don't drink, but my friends and I stopped by after seeing a mention of their mocktails on Instagram. There isn't a mocktail menu, but they asked how we felt about a few ingredients/flavors. EACH ONE WAS AMAZING. We told Jordan behind the bar how much we loved them, and he went over all the different flavor concoctions and syrups they make in-house. We thought we were just stopping in for a quick mocktail and ended up staying for a couple of hours. AND they have insanely good truffles!

Rachel W.

Yelp
My wonderful husband is an artist and his studies of art have piqued his interest in absinthe as a bucket list experience as many of the greats held a love of the drink. Unfortunately absinth isn't the most common of things to find and if you're going to try it, then of course you should have the authentic experience. We were excited to find this place while planning our trip for his birthday. It's very unassuming from the outside and appears to be a chocolate shop.... Honestly we weren't sure it was even open and thought maybe we had the wrong address but that was part of the charm. Inside you'll experience the full vibe of a classic speakeasy, dim, cozy, rich textures and fabrics, authentic vintage pieces and an overall green glow throughout. The service was wonderful and they definitely were well versed in the experience and the craft. My husband ordered an absinthe flight selecting one from TN, one from France and one from Colorado. They service it on a thick piece of slate with the names of each drink written down and each absinthe is paired with a complimenting tempered chocolate. My honey relished in the physical experience of preparing the absinthe complete with an ice water drip over sugar cubes and the chocolate was divine. I ordered the featured cocktail Feeling Chille. It truly was one of the best cocktails I've ever had. Bright, fresh and perfectly balanced. We'll worth the visit but it is quite small inside and gets busy fast...... this is not an experience to be rushed so I recommend arriving close to opening at 7.

Adam N.

Yelp
Definitely an experience. Really knowledgeable staff and a hip environment that reminds me of New Orleans. This was my first absinthe experience and I asked the bartender for the best choices and he set me up with a flight. I can't say that I enjoyed the absinthe itself (maybe that's just not for me) but the overall experience was super unique. I'd recommend checking this place out if you're in the area. It is super small and the staff does NOT wear masks as of Jan 2022. You might have to share a table with another party.

Chad P.

Yelp
This is an amazing hidden gem. Most people don't know what the space is when walking by. It's a chocolate shop that turns into a bar at night. Their drinks are fantastic and the vibe is super chill. This was such a great find!

Nicole M.

Yelp
Cool ambience. Drinks are good. Tight space so don't come with a large party. It's pretty dark in there too so it's a little hard to see what you're drinking or eating at the time.

Heidi M.

Yelp
The ambiance in the restaurant was absolutely amazing, It is super dark and the music is great. The service was amazing and everyone was so nice. I got the naughty gin and it wasn't my favorite but there are so many other great cocktails to choose from. 100% recommend

rebecca s.

Yelp
What an amazing find! we had dinner in Germantown but we weren't quite ready to head home & relieve the babysitter, so found the Green Hour a block away (& next door to where I bought my wedding dress, so for me nostalgia was a perk!). We were greeted immediately by a young woman outside, who checked our IDs & then directed us to a small table- the only open at the time in this teensy tiny space. It couldn't have worked out better so felt like fate. Then our waitress greeted us & gave a quick rundown of the drinks. My husband was an absinthe newbie, so she spent time with him helping him to choose the right cocktail. I chose straight absinthe & am so happy I did- first off, I felt like a badass because I think there was only one other person drinking it (I learned quickly that you'll know this from this beautiful water dispenser they bring out). You turn the tap to a drop & pour over the sugar cubes neatly wrapped up & served with your absinthe. You place the cubes on the spatula thingy, place over your cup & drip water until the sugar is dissolved into your drink. I actually needed to add a little more water to mine, which was delicious. My husband could t finish his cocktail (it was a bit hard to drink), but the absinthe was deliciously licorice in flavor with smoked vanilla earthiness. I savored mine to the last drop. We only stayed for one drink but I can't wait to go back. Definitely order absinthe, definitely sit inside & enjoy the music & ambiance!

Yelp
Although I learned that I don't like absinthe from my visit here, I can appreciate the art in what they're doing! Green Hour: 4/5 This was a complex drink that started off sweet, then ended with the spiced flavor of absinthe. It was not my favorite (as I learned that I don't like the taste of absinthe), but I could appreciate the thought and effort that went into composing a balanced drink like this. Mint Meltaway (truffle pairing for the Green Hour): 4/5 As someone who doesn't like absinthe, this was a nice break from its spiced flavor. The truffle itself was standard, but it complimented the drink well. Service: 5/5 Our server was attentive and helpful. He quickly got me ice whenever I asked and gave me good cocktail suggestions. Another thing is when they ran out of glasses to serve absinthe flights, he was apologetic and gave us complimentary lemon drops (also because we were celebrating someone's birthday).

Pete Z.

Yelp
We had just 2 nights in Nashville and knew this was a place that would be a must see--and it delivered. One of our top 2 spots in the city. We tried around 8, but all the seats were taken, so we hit some other spots and decided to try one more time later that same evening. Just before 10, my partner phoned in and found out they would likely have a spot soon, so we made a dash and had about an hour to enjoy ourselves. Who would not prefer an intimate and rare experience inside this beautifully refined establishment? We tried the flight, specifically Vieux Pontarlier, which we enjoy at home, a Swiss variety we hadn't tried and an absinthe distilled in Chicago, which was surprisingly delicious. Jeremy chose our spread and provided three little chocolate pralines, which were delectable in their own right. He was a pleasure to chat with, really impressed with the enthusiasm at this establishment. Regretfully, I did not catch the name of the mistress of the house, who was also a gem to converse with about absinthe. She whipped up a mean cocktail and graciously allowed us to try two additional absinthes, more local than Chicago. She was friendly and engaged in our experience as well. Their efforts to ensure we knew how to properly enjoy this very interesting spirit was most appreciated. If you are curious about absinthe or a seasoned connoisseur, this spot is a must.

Carrie K.

Yelp
What a great concept. Not the biggest absinthe fan but still enjoyed it. You get your absinthe and then drip water and sugar into the drink to make it to your liking. (I guess this is how they traditionally served absinthe) This place is a chocolate shop by day so the absinthe comes with a chocolate truffle for pairing. While a unique and great concept probably could do a little better job. It was extremely packed and we saw multiple people walk right out. Service was slow. The music was so loud you couldn't even talk. Definitely need a larger place and more inviting atmosphere.

Yelp
Germantown's best kept secret! The Green Hour is doing something truly special. Their cocktails are unique. I know people say that, these are. I had a banana flavored fernet drink. To say it was delicious is an understatement. I've had a lot of fernet cocktails in my life and the bartender just blew the lid off of the Nashville fernet scene. The ambiance is really wonderful too. It's a chocolate shop that turns into a bar at night. This gives it a cafe/speakeasy vibe that complements their drink program. I absolutely can't wait to see how this place developments and what they mix up next! Cheers!

Yelp
I heard of this gem of a place from a local, came two nights in a row. I am impressed, the environment, the music, the cocktails, the bartenders 10 out of 10. Wish I could stay longer to enjoy the entire menu. A mustry the Green Hour cocktail.

Yelp
The Green Hour is the cool spot you didn't know you were missing out on. It is a popup bar inside of the Tempered Chocolate & Cafe. The mood is set as it is dark with candles on each table and is a cozy atmosphere. I am in love with their drink menu. They have craft cocktails that are paired with a chocolate. OMG. I could think of nothing more delightful. Just on concept alone they get an A+ from me. My friend and I both got the Charred Hive. This drink had gin, honey, ginger and lemon in it. They do a little show of sticking a sprig of rosemary in the glass, lighting it on fire then pouring the mixture over the flaming rosemary. The drink was different but I enjoyed it. We both decided to get the suggested chocolate truffle pairing of the lemon lavender. This was a white chocolate truffle with a sweet lemon flavor, although I didn't really taste the lavender. Nonetheless it was delicious. The bartender was so sweet and gave us an extra chocolate just because his torch for the little drink show wasn't working well. Service, ambiance, drinks and chocolate all get high marks from me I am a fan and will return.

Yelp
This cozy, intimate green lit of a little gem leaves nothing wanting. It's low lit ambiance hints at the relics of a genuine speak-easy style vibe. The absythese experience is completely unique and something I had never experienced. The servers were amazing - polite and very thorough in their knowledge and explanation. Additionally, their homemade chocolate truffles and snackboards were wonderful. For a truly unique and one-of-a-kind experience in Nashville - check this jewel out!

Yelp
It was like stepping into 1800s Europe. Plus having chocolate pairings I've never had drip absinthe before but it's one of the coolest drinking experiences I've had.
