Greenery Co. Opens Soon, Bringing Takeout Salads to Hillsboro Village - Eater Nashville

"In light of the recent spike in COVID-19 cases throughout Tennessee, Hillsboro Village’s new fast-casual, health-focused spot Greenery Co. is rolling out a phased opening, beginning on December 8. At first, Greenery Co. will operate in a takeout-only model, with plans to open to dine-in customers on January 4, 2021. Co-owned by sisters Caroline Gaston and Whitney Abblitt, Greenery Co. takes over the old Provence Breads & Cafe space right in the thick of Hillsboro Village. The menu offers a selection of locally sourced snacks, salads, warm bowls, and sweet treats, alongside a variety of nonalcoholic drinks. Diners can choose from preordained selections or design their own meals with various proteins, dressings, and toppings. Seasonal menu items include carrot pimento cheese, French onion dip, roasted carrot soup, and desserts like triple chocolate chip cookies. The restaurant will offer free delivery to designated drop sites within Vanderbilt University Medical Center for area medical professionals and features a parking lot with 14 spots for its diners." - Delia Jo Ramsey

Greenery Co. Is Bringing Healthy Salads and Snacks to Hillsboro Village - Eater Nashville

"A much needed additional healthy option is coming to Nashville in spring of 2020 — when Greenery Co. opens in the former home of beloved Provence Breads in bustling Hillsboro Village. The fast-casual salad and otherwise healthy spot comes from sisters and co-owners Caroline Gaston and Whitney Abblitt — both newcomers to the restaurant industry who have backgrounds ranging from fashion to finance. On the menu (from Austin-based chef Barclay Stratton), look for a selection of salads, bowls, snacks, and sweet treats, alongside a variety of nonalcoholic drinks, all offered at what they promise to be “approachable prices.”" - Delia Jo Ramsey

I was a bit apprehensive about this place when we arrived because it was lunchtime on Sunday and it was relatively empty. We ordered our food after receiving some advice from our server and found a nice table in the main seating area. The bowls were amazing. I love the complexity of flavors blending together perfectly for a healthy hearty meal. On top of our meal one of the managers checked on us, helped clear our table and gave a complementary cookie to my wife for Mother’s Day. We will definitely be back.

Decided to drive a couple hours to have lunch with a friend that works at the hospital. I wanted something healthy but not a chain, not the usual tacos, pizza, sandwiches type of restaurants either. I had the Thai salad. Salad could have used more than 4 shrimp. Only complaint I have. Everything was fresh. Restroom was clean. Plenty of tables open while I waited for my friend to show up. Will be back

Second time eating Greenery Co. This latest was an order pick up. Got home (20 mins away) and the 2 shrimp chipotle bowls had zero shrimp. VERY disappointing! They refunded the 2 shrimpless bowls but still. They weren't busy so how/why that happened, no idea.

Perfect for dainty stomachs! I got the Tennessee Thai which was delicious. The service was quick and friendly. But I would like to be more full after the $17 salad. Still, I would get it again because it is a tasty, healthy option for lunch that I feel “good” eating - even if I’d prefer a larger portion.

The food is really good and consistent. However, I don’t like that their prices are not listed and somehow I always get charged differently for my make your own bowl. Also, they consistently try to charge me for extra toppings when I don’t have any and I have to catch it as I’m about to run my card. I also feel very rushed even when there’s no line behind me, just based on how the employees act.

We love coming to the Greenery. The salads are always delicious, healthy, and fresh. Shout out to T who is one of the best employees. His positive attitude, kindness, and helpful approach is really welcomed and appreciated. He goes above and beyond his job duties and responsibilities and is an example of what a team player should be.

Hands down one of my favorite place to eat is uptown Nashville the meals are super healthy and extremely tasty . The prices are reasonable in the every single bite of my churros I bowl . Every element was just so tasty the quinoa was made to perfection the kale and sweet potato offered the perfect contrast against the tender steak . The radish added the perfect crunch . Talk about eating your vitamins for the day with so much rich flavors . Do yourself a favor and order the homemade double chocolate 🍫 chip cookie I had to go back the next day and buy one for my flight to Texas is AN ABSOLUTE LEGEND FOR

Used to love coming here. I used to come at least once a week! However due to the severe disrespect and racism I experienced from one of the workers was very horrific last year. The worker was acting like she just stepped foot of prison. When I reached out to the owner one of them they did not seem to care. The other didn't even give me a response. Both sided with their worker disrespecting me for no apparent reason. The way the worker treated me you would think I killed somebody she loved. I didn't deserve what happened to me and one of the owners called me to tell me they didn't care what happened to me, and I shouldn't go back then if I didn't want to get treated the way I was treated. They made me never want to go there again. I wouldn't feel comfortable ever stepping food in that restaurant and giving them my hard earned money again. If I was hispanic or black i'm sure the way the owners treated me the outcome would have been different. DEI place. This is my personal experience and the food is healthy but it's really whatever there is Cava and better places you can go to. I just wouldn't ever give them my money again because of this incident. Before the owners try to accuse me of lying. I have the emails, and I still have your number you gave me. The point is don't expect respect when you come into this store. As a regular customer I felt like I was dealing with women behind the counter who just got out of PRISON serving me food. Personally, i'm not that type of person to go back and forth especially with people who barely make a living wage. The women seemed so miserable, I wasn't going to stoop down to her level because I am a mother and I have a great life. I don't know why I waited so long to write this, this should have been done a long time ago!
