Local chain serving burgers, chili & shakes in a hip space with B-movies projected on the walls.
"Grindhouse Style These days, there are more Grindhouses around town than chicken wing bones on the ground. Just kidding—nothing could top that number. But it’s obvious why they’ve expanded to five locations, including the airport: they make darn good burgers. We love the Grant Park location, the perfect stop for a weeknight burger that’s flavorful and grilled to a crunch with a sweet bun. We enjoy the classic, american cheese-topped Grindhouse Style burger, but this is the place you can really go in with different proteins and toppings like pimento cheese, fried green tomatoes, vidalia onion rings, and other things that make our Southern hearts sing." - jacinta howard
"Grindhouse Killer Burgers on Memorial Drive isn’t lacking in patio space, and that includes one for the dogs. A soft, Astro-Turf area complete with picnic tables is located to the right of the outdoor bar. Guests with pups can order at the front counter and take a seat outside while they wait for their food. Dogs can enjoy complimentary bowls of water, too. Accidents happen, so pet owners are asked to please clean up after their pets." - Eater Staff, Lia Picard
"The fabled Atlanta institution, open since 1971, is famously known for its house special (‘The Ghetto Burger’), spirited owner “Miss Ann” Price (who regrettably passed away in April 2015), and her “8 Rules and Regulations for Service” (which remain posted on the wall to this day). This understated, no-nonsense eatery is, without argument, a true slice of Americana. Be sure to savor that burger we mentioned — a double bacon chili cheeseburger with a special ingredient — dubbed by the Wall Street Journal as 2007’s “best hamburger in America.” The wait to sit at the counter can be intimidating, but know you’re exercising patience for a legendary experience...or make a stop during an off-time to avoid the crowd." - Green Olive Media
"Dress up a burger at Grindhouse by topping it with pimento cheese. Then, order a batch of the burger joint’s cheesy poofs — fried pimento cheese balls served with a sweet chili sauce for dipping." - Beth McKibben
"Nothing pairs with a Grindhouse burger on a scorching day like one of the restaurant’s boozy shakes. The shake roster includes the El Duderino, a coffee shake mixed with coffee liqueur and Svedka vanilla vodka, the Oreo shake Stimulus Package with peppermint schnapps, and Monkey Wrench made with chocolate peanut butter malt, banana liqueur, and vanilla vodka. Shakes also come booze-free, with flavors ranging from vanilla to chocolate peanut butter." - Eater Staff
