You have to try this place if you haven't already. Awesome drinks and attentive staff but it's the food that won me over. I'm so happy I found this place. The Elote dip is bomb! They even came up with this crazy green chili au graten, that is out of this world. It was really nice to get a no fuss meal at the bar. I'm not much of a fan of sit down places for brunch. There's not a whole of noise(which makes for a nice hangover brunch) but there's still a game on the TV. The bartenders where good at making frendly banter. Not overwhelming, but still very attentive. I can't wait to eat here again. Thanks for the good eats and great vibes!

This was my best meal in Mesa and the best cocktail I had the entire trip. Absolutely delicious. Get a Paloma and the birria tacos. The street corn dip blew my mind, I’ve been thinking about it for at least 2 months. We had great service, plenty of seating, great air conditioning, nice large tables for big groups. The waitress was kind enough to take a family photo for us.

We had an amazing experience! The food was fantastic. The drinks were original and fun. They even made my teenagers the best mocktails which they delivered with flair (and a bit of mystique). Mostly, we loved the staff. They were knowledgeable, funny, gave great suggestions, and were super attentive. I highly recommend and hope to go back soon.

Google
They bring the hospitality back to the industry! Everybody is so friendly and we love to belly up to the bar for this reason. Almost everything on the menu is gluten-free which is great for my wife. The food is absolutely amazing, and the specialty cocktails are original and great. We have been there four times and introduced eight of our friends to the place. Everybody absolutely loves it. Try the shrimp appetizer, I do not remember the name on the menu. After that I highly recommend the braised birria elote risotto.

I was very surprised by some of the flavors here. The meats were exceptionally seasoned and wonderful. Especially the steak fajitas. Wow. I loved the queso with corn. Also I loved that the churros were gluten free. There were plenty of gluten free options and still maintained wonderful flavor, too. The open concept was fun and challenging when wanting to chat with friends across a longer table. I’ll definitely want to come back!

Google
AMAZING!! Drinks, food, service and entertainment. This was our first time at The Guadalupe and we’ll be back! I’ve been in AZ for 12 years and have been searching for a Mexican restaurant that makes me feel like I’m at home and I found it! I HIGHLY recommend The Guadalupe you will NOT be disappointed! I had the carnitas and paid a little extra for the fresh corn tortillas, 100% worth the extra cost. My husband had the shrimp fajitas and was very pleased, usually you get tiny shrimp at other places, these shrimp were a nice size. The salsa red and green were both very flavorful. The red had a little kick which you often don’t find at Mexican restaurants, usually it’s bland and can taste like it comes from a jar. Everything was fresh, delicious and flavorful! The biggest plus was meeting one of the owners, Mike. He came out to see how the food was. He and his wife opened this spot 8 months or so ago. We talked to him for a good 20 minutes. Great guy, and very personable. Surprisingly we went to the same high school, in Hoffman estates IL, different graduating classes; what a small world. Wishing these two much success! See you soon!

Google
Ordered by phone. It was well worth it. Great portions, tasty ingredients and freshly cooked. It was more expensive but well worth it. The lobster enchiladas - loved the sauce and has chorizo when mixed well with the lobster. Vegetables fajitas - some many onions and bell peppers, i loved it. The green chili burrito - I'm not fan of smothered burritos, but it was so tasty and worth trying. The kids bean and rice bowl - it was flavored very well, but I'd try something else next time. Surprisingly the French fries were also tasty, prefect if there's a picky eater. Tres leches - so good, prefectly soaked. Yes, I'll be back to try something else.

Google
Mike, and the Guad, are the best kept secrets in Mesa! Mike runs this place so well - you immediately feel at home as soon as you walk in! The food is fresh, amazing and guaranteed to satisfy! The menu is clearly marked to identify gluten free items, and Mike ensures everything that hits the table is gluten free. The mocktails are a must try!! Today’s delight was a prickly pear “margarita” and it’s was delicious!! Three gluten free dessert options - we did the churros and don’t regret a single thing. Mike also goes above and beyond to source local ingredients for a farm to table taste that cannot be beat!

Yelp
We ordered from the specials: short ribs and the mole enchiladas. Both were outstanding. Nice ambiance on a Sunday evening with live music. Lots of interesting decor. This place seems really special. We will be back.

Yelp
Guadeloupe on Main delivered a standout family-run dining experience. Our server, who also happened to be the chef's brother, set the tone immediately with warm, genuine hospitality that matched the restaurant's intimate vibe. The food was exceptional. The Tacos de Papas were perfectly seasoned and comforting, while the Tacos Pescada were fresh, bright, and balanced. The Elote was rich and flavorful, and we were lucky enough to try a side of the elote risotto--normally paired with the spare ribs--which was absolutely worth ordering on its own. The award-winning Margarita lived up to its reputation and was the ideal complement to the meal. A memorable visit from start to finish. Guadeloupe on Main is the kind of place you want to return to and bring people you love.

Yelp
Okay..WHAT is this hidden gem?! If you haven't been here, stop what you're doing and get over here now. Guadalupe on Main is a Sonoran style Mexican food spot giving off upscale moody upscale vibes. Upon entry, you'll walk around to the main dining room. You will immediately see that moody feel with the dark painted walls & mid century modern furniture. Our server made his way around and was very friendly. We were a group of 8 with small children and he was patient and welcoming with all of us. We started off with chips and salsa, which was nothing to rave about. Once our food hit the table, it was so beautifully and elegantly plated. Everyone enjoyed their food and I especially loved mine. I opted for the chicken mole enchiladas and they were SO GOOD. The mole was as authentic as my grandmothers and each rolled into a handmade corn tortilla and stuffed with just enough filling. For dessert, we had the churros with chocolate and they were served warm and soft. Around the corner from the dining area, you will find a small sports bar and make way your to the secret door for a speak easy! You'd never think it was a door, it is made to lol like a little library! Honestly I think it's a tattoo shop behind there I'm not sure what I was told but it closed unfortunately so we couldn't go. So happy we found this place!

Yelp
Gluten free eater here. This is really good Mexican food. Most places I have to pick and chose what I eat because of my gluten intolerance. Most everything on this menu is gluten free (except the mole!). But I've been here twice. Both for night outs with my husband. The pros. This place has great food, well seasoned and amazing flavor. The atmosphere is hip. Good drink choices. Love music. The cons. It's loud. With concrete walls you aren't coming here to hear your partner. The food and drinks are a bit expensive. We will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
Tucked just off the light rail and a quick hop from downtown Mesa, The Guad on Main feels like you've stumbled into your coolest friend's house if your friend also happened to be an artist, chef, and master mixologist. The dining room is more like a giant living room, full of warm light, good energy, and art that absolutely slaps. (There's a moonlit desert scene with three horses that gets me every time and a portrait of Anthony Bourdain flipping the bird that's just chef's kiss.) We usually post up at the bar, because that's where the magic happens. It's lively, welcoming, and Adam behind the bar is a straight-up cocktail wizard. Even if you have no idea what you want, just say the word and they'll craft something perfect. Bonus points for their killer tequila selection. We once tried a rare Cazcanes pour that was pure fire. And the food? Ridiculous. Every dish tastes like someone in the kitchen genuinely cares because they clearly do. We've tried the chips and salsa, shrimp ceviche, tampiqueña plate, mole enchiladas, tacos carbón, and fish tacos. Not a single miss. Everything's made from scratch, and those tortillas? Borderline spiritual experience. Bottom line: The Guad on Main is one of those rare spots that nails the trifecta of vibes, drinks, and food and makes you want to come back again and again. Co-owner "Dirty Mike" is always floating around saying hello and making sure all's well.

Yelp
9/28/25 Second visit. Parking 5/5 Early dinner-4:30 pm. Easy parking on off peak visits in private lot. Atmosphere 5/5 Beautifully done in a modern contemporary Latin design. Service 5/5 We were greeted immediately and offered our choose of table. Our server Mia joined shortly after being seated. We let her know we were ready to order and she did. Very friendly. We ordered iced teas, two Steak Fajitas meals, pan fried jalapeños, two Barria Tacos Ala cart. Mia asked if we'd like to have our tacos first. After dinner we ordered their Flan. Food 5/5 Everything we ordered was Guadalupe delicious! Way too much food so we brought home leftovers for another meal! Entertainment 5/5 We had a DJ for our entertainment He played R & B, it was a nice show. Eat well my friends-SYOY

Yelp
Overall? It's fine, there are some great dishes and some not so great dishes. Service is meh. Ambiance is odd but the drinks are unique and tasty. So let's get into it.. The service was lacking in all areas. We sat and waited for a good 5 minutes in a dead restaurant on a Wednesday night without any service and when a server did come over she dropped waters and notified us that she was not our server but that our server would hopefully be around shortly. When she did make it around she failed to do so little as give us her name. We saw her far and few in between during our meal. The chips and salsa lacked flavor (genuinely tasted like tomato paste). Definitely pass on those, especially for the price? Not worth it in the slightest. The carne asada plate was flavorful but SO chewy and gamey. The drinks were yummy and creative and the bartenders executed them well so no complaints there. But the stars of the show were definitely the mole enchiladas and corn queso dip situation!! Stellar!! It is odd to me however that rice and beans cost extra for the already $20 enchiladas. I know my ancestors would be rolling over in their graves if they saw that. Food is supposed to be about community and love not price gouging. The ambiance was cute enough but it felt like being in a big living room? And it was very echoey. Maybe that was the vibe they had intended? just not my personal favorite. I had really high hopes for this place as I've seen it all over my social media and people have raved all about it. I personally just don't see the appeal and left feeling underwhelmed.

Yelp
Probably the highest quality mexican food I've had in a long time and all gluten free! This is my second time coming here. Unfortunately, the first time I got very sick because I have a severe dairy intolerance as well, but it was so worth it. Side note: It was NOT on their end, I was just very stubborn and ordered it knowing it had dairy but hoping my stomach would cooperate (it did not) This second time, I decided to bring my own dairy-free queso, cheese and sour cream in hopes that they wouldn't mind us adding our own ingredients once our food was prepared to avoid causing any pain. The chef was so so sooo kind about it and had no problem with me using my stuff at my own table! Everyone here is so kind, the atmosphere is so welcoming, and I cannot thank the chef and employees as well for such amazing service! Also, I HIGHLY recommend that queso! The birria tacos are soooo yummy too! Cannot wait to dig into my GF churros tonight!

Yelp
This place was a pleasant surprise. My wife and I are from Texas, and we were here with a group of friends who had flown in from all over, Chicago, North Carolina, and Dallas, and some locals. We've had some less than stellar Mexican and the distinct but separate Tex Mex while on our travels, but this place knocked it out of the park. My two highlights were my entree, and something else that was a complete surprise that I'll save for later in the review. I selected the classic chile relleno, which was delivered in a very proper service, featuring beans and rice, and the relleno itself had been dipped in a traditional egg batter, which was both fluffy yet substantial at the same time. A delicious but non-intrusive ranchero sauce was served atop the dish, and everything about it was fantastic. But as an even more pleasant surprise, was the shop made corn tortillas that were served as part of some of the other diners' meals, but after tasting them, we asked for more, They had a wonderful texture, thicker and way more moist that the typical rounds, yet not like a cake or a pupusa - they were still flat, but had a knockout corn flavor and were a joy to eat just by themselves or with a schmear of butter. I want to come back just for these, but it's a long way from Dallas. :) Definitely try this place if you want some great Mexican food in the desert!

Yelp
Food is good. Service can be a little all over the place. We sat at the bar for probably 10 min while 2 bartenders and a manager walked around talking about a new cocktail menu. We did end up getting great service from Alec. We did the bacon wrapped shrimp, enchiladas, and carne asada plate. It's definitely on the pricey end and no happy hour (at least on Friday evening). Would probably go back, but some drink specials/happy hour would be nice!

Yelp
This restaurant is definitely for my GF peeps! Almost everything on the menu is GF! My hubby was in heaven! Me, not so much. I definitely will give props for restaurant decor, and vibe. The owner(s) did a fabulous job with beautifying this restaurant. It has a farmhouse, yet modern feel when you first walk in; just a feel good vibe! Restaurant is spacious, although chairs may need updating to more chairs with cushions for my sensitive buns! Food was ok. I got the shrimp fajitas, and honestly, they were very bland. Not much flavor or excitement at all. My tongue didn't jump for joy; just limpness. Additionally, food was pricey for the average flavor. I'm sure the restaurant used high grade shrimps/meats/veggies, etc, but I can't justify going back for pricey average tasting food. I'll stick to my hole in the wall Mexican joint any day!

Michelle

Yelp
Went here for dinner as a party of four and the food was super yummy! Great service and I love that the menu caters to individuals who need a gluten free menu. Had two different cocktails and they were both delicious. Only thing I didn't love is the seating area is one big room. Although, the live music was great, the open concept made it hard to converse with our party as it got very loud inside.

Yelp
Husband met his friend he hasn't seen since college- over 30 years at The Guadalupe On Main and it was the first time visit. The food was delicious! The staff attentive, friendly and professional, and the personal detail to each dish by The Chef is superb! Highly recommend the creamy, cheesy, AMAZING Queso Fundido, the authentic Birria Tacos and the perfect cheese enchiladas - our favorite food on earth!

Yelp
Higher end Mexican food. Usually not my choice as I prefer old school Mexican food but we were with a group. Great service for lunch. Shrimp Enchiladas were good, nothing that blew me away for $24. Beans not my style and the rice was dry and crispy/ crunchy. Birria tacos w/ consommé were just average nothing you couldn't get at a mom and pop joint. They were pretty stingy with the consommé but we didn't ask for more either. I'm sure they would have brought more. Food took a while as the place was empty on a weekday late lunch. Again service was very good. Nice decor inside, so give this place a try if you want to impress.

Yelp
Super cook ambience, great bar, wonderful and friendly staff, fast service, and PHENOMENAL food! Definitely check this place out. Eric was our server, who was awesome! The owner also came to check on us, which was so kind and cool to see the care they have for their customers. The flavor of carne asada was spectacular; and the mole was the best I've ever had! Not only was the mole flavor incredible, but the chicken inside the mole chicken enchiladas was so tender and flavorful as well. Also, get a side of the homemade corn tortillas - delicious with the carne asada!
google avatar

Alisha O.

Yelp
I'm not sure if we ordered the wrong things this time but not as great an experience. We got the queso which should really be described differently. It's not very cheesy, more like a corn and cotija bake. Tasty but it's a LOT. Mahi Mahi tacos were recommended -- on the menu and by staff - but it's just teeny tiny bits of fish mixed up with stuff in soggy tortillas. This was a crime against mahi mahi. Birria tacos were ok. Also quite soggy and greasy. Tres leches cake was nice.

Yelp
This is a new location on Main Street in Mesa. The atmosphere is amazing. The decor is unique and very authentic feeling. I loved all the artwork and metalwork. The front of the dining room opened up to outside and had a nice planter with agave and cacti. The food was really good. I had the carne asada plate. It was very good. Note that it wasn't very spicy. I typically like Mexican food a little spicier. Next time I'll mention it when I order. The food wasn't cheap. Plates were around $25 but it was worth it. Everyone was happy with their meal. On the night we went (a Sunday for an early dinner) there was a singer. He was really good. He sang a lot of 1980s and 1990s songs like by Bobby Brown, Otis Redding, the Temptations, and the Righteous Brothers. He sounded great and it was at a reasonable volume (we were still able to talk). Service was a little on the slow end but there were a lot of large parties so I'll give it a pass.

Nick ..

Yelp
Objectively awful. I came in actually excited after hearing good things and getting a referral. When I pulled up and saw the old Casa Ramos parking signs, I was even more hyped--like, "okay, whoever took over this spot must be solid." Yeah... no. Had I not been with a big group, I would've walked right tf out after the first bite of my $4.50 Taco Bell-knockoff chips and sad, straight-from-the-jar salsa. And seriously--who charges for chips and salsa? I didn't even bother asking for a refill because 1) it wasn't necessary, and 2) I'm not convinced they would've brought one anyway. For what you get, the food is wildly overpriced. I'm totally fine paying for value, but there just isn't any here. You're genuinely better off at Señor Taco. Honestly, just skip this place and head to Nando's. Service wasn't good either. The restaurant was basically empty on a Thursday around 6, and somehow it still took forever to serve a party of 10. Maybe 2-3 other small tables in the whole place and still super slow. Hard pass.

Yelp
An allergy "safe" restaurant. Having a delicious allergy safe family for our whole family is somewhat impossible but The Guadalupe on Main made that possible! Thanks to their GF free options and their allergy indications on their menu. I heard about the restaurant through instagram. An ad popped up and immediately bookmarked it. We had the chance to try them on a Saturday afternoon at a weird time, late lunch, very early dinner. We did not expect to see such a cute beautiful restaurant in Mesa on Main but we did. The sign at the entrance said "seat yourself" so we did. A few tables were occupied. The restaurant is medium size but spacious with high ceilings. The bar area is also separate from the dining area. When we ordered, we made sure they were aware of the allergies at our table. They were very careful and wrote every thing down. We ordered chips and guacamole for an appetizer, enchiladas, steak fajitas and crispy chicken tacos from the kids menu for mains and we had water only for drinks. Guacamole was ok, and chips were fresh and crispy. Mains were delicious even my picky eating child enjoyed the meal very much! I tried some of the fries from my kid's dish and they were seasoned to perfection. The steak in the fajitas was tender, juicy and cooked perfectly. The sides were also great, especially because they had the option of vegetarian beans rather than refried beans. Prices are good and the service was excellent. The restaurant is also clean including the bathrooms. To all the allergy parents out there and allergy individuals, do yourself a favor and go to The Guadalupe on Main. You will enjoy a worry free delicious meal!

Yelp
We belong to a large GF FB group that's been raving about the options at this restaurant so we decided to try it. We came on a Saturday afternoon and the sign said to seat yourself. We walked in and had to pass up several tables as they appeared to have salt or what appeared to be crumbs on them. We finally seated ourselves and were greeted by our server. We ordered drinks and chips and salsa. To note, you must order/pay for chips and salsa. We ordered the mushroom calamari as I was looking forward to fried mushrooms since that's hard to come by with celiac. I personally didn't care for them at all, they were floppy and had a unique taste. My husband ate them. I ordered carne asada to share with my son and he enjoyed it a lot. I felt the meat was tough. My husband ordered the carnitas plate, and if you view the picture it was a rather small portion of carnitas. He really enjoyed what was there. We followed up lunch with churros and those were warm, and soft and delicious. We will come back to try the other options that are GF friendly. I will also note we saw someone (assuming owner/manager) going table to table having lengthy chats with all the other patrons and he didn't engage with our table and our server while kind, wasn't really present for us to give us refills etc. the layout of the space makes it hard to interact with staff.
google avatar

Mary A.

Yelp
Guadalupe on Main has a trendy vibe with nice décor, and I'll give them credit for serving really good filtered water. The service was decent as well. On the downside, the drinks were on the weak side, and the acoustics made it hard to hear anyone at our table, which took away from the experience. We tried the chicken mole enchiladas, which were good but not outstanding. What really stood out was that side dishes aren't included--chips, rice, and beans all cost extra, which made the meal feel less of a value. Overall, while there were some positives, the cons outweighed them for us, and we probably won't be back.
google avatar

Ivy M.

Yelp
I've been wanting to check out this place as soon as I heard they had Gluten free churros. Which were amazing!! The food was also delicious. My partner and I had the chile verde and the barbacoa platter. He enjoyed the barbacoa but liked my chile verde better. It was very flavorful. The beans and rice reminded me of home. And to top it off they make a well balanced and Smokey old fashioned that made the experience even better.

Yelp
Our experience at The Guadalupe was amazing from start to end. The service was excellent - from the moment we came in, we were greeted with a smile and quickly taken to our table. I told our server about my wheat allergy and that I was visiting because I read they have many gluten free options. She was helpful and told me what I could and couldn't have on their menu. We started with the chips and salsa - something I usually can't do because of cross contamination, but they have a dedicated fryer for the chips! Win! They serve two types of salsas. They were both good but my favorite was the red. I ordered cheese enchiladas and my husband had the birria tacos. We both enjoyed every bite of our meals! The cheese in the enchiladas was so good, the beans and the rice were amazing too. Having a wheat allergy, I struggle to find authentic Mexican food that is also gluten free - they got it RIGHT! After we ate, we ordered the churros for dessert. Oh my goodness. They were amazing! They were hot, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and we dipped them in their chocolate sauce. They are to die for!!! Did I mention it was all gluten free?? And phenomenal? They have an extensive gluten free menu, vegetarian options, and the menu is clearly labeled so you know what is what. Incredible! Amazing food, friendly and helpful staff, beautiful restaurant and great vibe. We will absolutely be returning!

Yelp
What a great experience from start to finish. We dropped in this afternoon between the lunch and dinner crowd. Since this was our first time they walked us through the menu, gave some great recommendations. We started the bacon wrapped shrimp & mushroom calamari. Excellent presentation and flavor for both. We then split the shrimp enchiladas. The service and ambience for a newer restaurant was spot on. Thank you for a great visit and we will be back soon.

Yelp
We loved the original restaurant when we first moved here but they closed when the light rail was being built. The owners rented it out and a new restaurant opened and it was the worst!!! The original owner reopened but it wasn't the same and we only at it once. Recently it was sold and we decided to give the new place a try and glad we did. Service was good and the food was delicious. My husband had the Birria Tacos and I had the Shrimp Enchiladas!! One of the owners came out and talked with us; very nice gentleman and very welcoming. The restaurant is very spacious and well decorated. We will definitely be back and we will bring family and friends with us. If you're ever in the area, definitely give them a try!!
google avatar

Amelia P.

Yelp
Nice place. Service was good. Margarita was over iced and tiny. Michelada was not impressive, flavor was a little off. Ordered Birria and their "award winning" Mole Enchilada. Birria was exceptionally tasty! The Mole Enchiladas not so much. Weirdly sweet flavor, almost watered down mole sauce, the tortilla shells were way too think and kind of gummy after a while. Waitress said mole sauce was going to be spicy so was looking forward to some spice, unfortunately sauce didn't have a hint of any spiciness. Will I return? Meh maybe, nothing except the Birria to me was worth it.

Yelp
10/10 food and our server was excellent! We met the owner who was very friendly. As someone with a gluten allergy this is the best experience I've had in Arizona (lived here 5 years)!

Yelp
We visited The Guadalupe on Main for a friends birthday. She had made a reservation and table was waiting for us. Decor is urban and modern. Our waitress took great care of us and service over all was good. I ordered the Mole Enchiladas because it said "award winning" on the menu and that's a bold statement when you're talking about Mole. It did not disappoint! Every bit as rich, savory, smooth, savory and deep as Abuela's kitchen. Not even kidding. Their refried beans are super tasty. I wasn't overly impressed with the rice. My friend across from me ordered the Braised Short Ribs and they were amazingly tender. At the end of the meal our waitress brought out a piece of their tres leche cake with a sparkler, which was a fun touch. The cake was incredible. I'm not even really a tres leche fan but I'd order this when returning. If you are going make a reservation it was pretty busy while we were there and they definitely had a wait for tables. I'll be back to try more!

Yelp
Staff and service were great. Owner is awesome and takes such pride in everything. Food is full of flavor and authentic. The drinks are amazing also and the mixologist are legit. The decor was so beautiful modern Mexican feel. Very comfortable place to have a nice time. Really want to take my family for dinner here. The corn tortillas are so good fresh and warm. Chili verde was full of flavor not spicy.

Yelp
Well, if you don't like criticism, good or bad, don't put yourself on here. There were items I did like, and wrote about accordingly. And your staff was great, which I also noted. But your rotten response has led me to change my score...which I'm sure you don't care about. Sir, you're rude.

Yelp
The food was delicious. Just know it's expensive but the service can be hit and miss with service. When we were there we waited 15 minutes before anyone came to get our order after we were seated with menus.

Yelp
This is a new fav of mine. Delicious, fancy Mexican food. They have so many gluten free options and the staff is friendly and helpful. They make churros and they're gluten free and AMAZING. Def a good date night place. Very hip vibes

Yelp
We frequent The Guad, at least monthly. Why? I hear you ask...(yeah you did!) first of all, the staff are amazingly welcome wether you are a first timer or a regular. Behind the bar this evening you have Haylee, Adam, and (new) Mike. All slinging amazing cocktails, and proud of the concoctions they produce, if it isn't right the first time, they will re-do (not that it happens often please note!) The food is exceptional; it's a scratch kitchen, and you can tell. My favorites are the lobster enchiladas (amazing red pepper sauce), the chicken mole enchiladas (I wish they would sell the mole in a jar, I'd put tha on everything!) and the tampiquena. Hubby loves the short rib and risotto, the green chili plate and shrimp enchiladas. There are plenty of choices to love! The difficulty is getting something different every time coz you love what you love right? AND we learned this evening they now do BRUNCH!! That menu looks divine; corn bread bake with compound chile butter and chile jam, a chorizo burrito, green chile papas au gratin, and a spiced pineapple French toast that looks delicious!! (To name a few dishes) We can't wait to come back for the brunch menu! Anywhoo, moral of the story is, come down to The Guad for good food, drinks and an atmosphere that you don't find very often. Mike and Alysia have done an amazing job here...come and see, double dare ya!!!

Yelp
Our dinner was amazing. The mole enchiladas were above and beyond the best mole I've had. Chile verde was great and the margarita was perfect, not sweet just lime and tequila forward. The space is simple, light and bright and the service was quick and inviting. Definitely will be back.

Yelp
Great place on main. Went for the first time today. Very clean and the decor inside is cooling in the summer. We had some Barilla tacos, ceviche and a beef taco. Don't forget the chips and salsa. Everything was very tasty. Fair value. Service was exceptional. My only comment was on the ceviche. The shrimps could be bigger pieces versus the small one that are the same size as the onions and tomato. Not a deal breaker though. We will come back. For larger groups, call direct to make a reservation, just to make sure. Enjoy, we did.

Yelp
I'll start with the positive the atmosphere is cool! The food flavor was very good. The service was horrible very slow and no, it was not busy. I have never been to a Mexican restaurant that charges for chips and salsa. We asked to have our plate split. it came out non-split when we asked about it. They said the chef doesn't like to split plates and it would've been nice if the waitress would've told us that when we finally got to finish and waited for a check after I flagged them down we were overcharged by $20 yes $20 charged for an extra margarita that we didn't get and charged for chips and salsa because I refuse to pay for chips and salsa but charged for it anyway would not recommend this restaurant maybe go for a drink

Yelp
My husband and I came here after hearing rave reviews about it- and it lived up to the hype! It was so yummy and service was great. The owner, Mike, was super nice and passionate about this new restaurant. It is also super gluten-free/celiac friendly. It can be SO hard to find celiac friendly places that are also yummy, and so this place is amazing. My husband loved his carnitas- he said they were the best he's ever had! I enjoyed my pollo a la crema as well. The churros for dessert were to die for! The restaurant was also so cute. We will 100% be back here!

Yelp
Guadalupe on Main offers an exceptional dining experience with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Their shrimp enchiladas = win. Shocked how many menu items are gluten free - a must-try for anyone visiting. Suggest asking for a lime to bring the flavors up a notch or two for the shrimp. I love fresh flavors that bring the ingredients together, rather than most places tasting processed and chemically. The shrimp was perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavor, complemented by a rich, creamy cheese sauce that balanced the textures with a slight sweetness from the tomato base. I'd personally have added cayenne in heavy doses (it's not spicy at all), but the flavors are great. The corn tortillas are soft and fresh, plus the flavorful filling and colorful presentation. It's clear that Guadalupe on Main takes great care in selecting ingredients, and it shows in every bite. Whether you're a fan of seafood or not, these enchiladas are a refreshing experience that showcase the restaurant's commitment to fresh, vibrant flavors. Live music, with singing and DJing, birthday celebrations and wonderful decor, great service: really makes this a fun new favorite place, yay! Arrived and were seated immediately.

Yelp
I love this place. Normally I sit at the bar. Adam, Alec and the entire staff always make me feel like I'm at home. The Guad offers inspired craft cocktails and great Mexican comfort food. Highly recommend. Haven't tried the new brunch yet but the menu looks amazing. Probably the most gluten friendly Mexican restaurant out there. Get the corn dip. Also the chorizo fundido alone is worth the trip. 10/10

Yelp
We arrived right at opening. Very tastefully decorated with an upscale vibe. Kids ordered virgin strawberry daiquiris which were quite good and refreshing. Mole enchiladas had a nice sweetness to them. I would order it again. We also ordered 3 plates of the Birrira tacos. This sadly is still on my palette now after a few hours. A lingering oily taste that taste which I don't care for. Maybe it's just me. Overall it was a good experience and we loved that we could get celiac safe food for my daughter. We would definitely consider going by again some time.

Yelp
The restaurant decor is fun and upscale. The staff and owners are wonderful and make sure your needs are met. If you are in a hurry they will make sure everything meets your timeline. The food is delicious. We've been here 3 times on a Saturday early evening and can't say enough good things. The only thing I would say is that the chairs in the bar area are not that comfy but that is my only criticism.

Yelp
The space was clean, attractive and comfortable. The servers were exceptionally helpful and courteous. Our group of four had different dishes which were all well prepared, unique and very flavorful. The food presentation was unexpectedly excellent. The live entertainment was very good however the large room amplified the sound making conversation a bit difficult. We will definitely return as this is now on our list of exceptional Mexican restaurants.

Yelp
The space was cool, not kitschy stereo typical Mexican restaurant. Food was great and the service was excellent.

Yelp
"The Guad" has amazing food, a wonderful atmosphere, all with a personal touch. Best authentic Mexican food in the East valley hands down. They are also regularly creating new dishes for an adventurous palette.

Yelp
Good food, nice atmosphere. I liked the entertainment. I would've given it five dollars if I had cash. I liked the Mexican atmosphere, but it had a lot of chickens which is not a bad thing

Yelp
Fantastic small restaurant that really impressed us on our first visit. First off the decor is really nice and surprised us since we drove there from Scottsdale. It feels more Palm Springs than Mesa. We were greeted immediately and given a nice table in center. Carly did a great job of waiting on us and checked on us and offered refills too. We loved the food and decor and service! Also live music started during our dinner and it was pleasant and not overwhelming. I have to compliment the calamari!!! Probably the best I've ever had and I'm from California and have had calamari for many decades. It has a slight heat in the marinade and dipping sauce and was perfect. I also had the chicken in cream sauce which was delicious and my spouse ordered the chile verde was very happy! We will be back and recommend this spot now!!! Gracias Guada!!!

Yelp
The Guadalupe on main is the brain child of Mike, a former bartender who had a vision of Mexican, or more Texmex food and his gluten free girlfriend. With the influence of his girlfriend the menu became almost completely gluten free not by intention but by nature. In the 5 weeks of being open this has created quite a following in the GF crowd. And with that, what can I say? I was able to try every item on the table and not worry about being glutened! I was able to enjoy a meal with my non gf husband and we both enjoyed our meal immensely. Neither of us felt there was a compromise in taste or quality. And if I'm completely honest, I could not stop eating the elote dip! Service was also great. The bartender spoke to us about the drinks. Mike and our waitress Alejandra made amazing food recommendations. And the part that really tickled me; a young man walked past our table then immediately backtracked to ask me if there was an issue with my food because I was not eating. I believe his name was Louis. My answer, oh no! Theres nothing wrong. I'm just full! The Guadalupe on main is a must try!
