"H-E-B first started serving barbecue at the Café Mueller restaurant at the Mueller location. Eventually, it expanded with the standalone barbecue restaurant now with ten locations throughout the state, including San Antonio, each overseen by a separate pitmaster. A forthcoming H-E-B on Slaughter Lane will also have an outpost on True Texas BBQ, and will likely open before the Lake Austin location." - Erin Russell

I love this new H-E-B in Austin! The store is clean, well-organized, and has plenty of space to shop comfortably. They have a wide variety of products, including fresh produce, meats, and a fantastic wine selection. Best of all, the prices are great.

Nice and clean store! The restrooms are located on the store level and the pharmacy is located on ground level beside a coffee shop. There is plenty of parking space but I would recommend shopping early to avoid hectic parking lot. The Bbq spot was delicious. The smoked turkey was seasoned perfectly and cornbread was delicious. They have a wonderful staff and they were super helpful helping me choose items from the menu. H‑E‑B has the best homemade tortillas so I was super excited to see that they had 9 inch fresh tortillas as well! ☺️ We didn’t get a chance to take the escalators because they were down when we went but we the 3 elevators were available! They are very spacious and shopping cart friendly. I would highly recommend this store location.

This is one of the newer HEB locations in the Austin area and it is just B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L! Now this isn't my usually HEB, so when I visited this location, I was just in awe. This is a multistory HEB. The first floor is a parking garage with more parking below. On the second floor you will find the pharmacy and am HEB cafe. When we arrived on the second floor, HEB was offering a health check that they provide once a month. They offered blood pressure and finger pricks to check your sugar levels at free of charge. I thought that this is a fantastic way to help bring health awareness to people. When you go up the third floor, the entrance to the main store just feels so welcoming. Everything was set up beautifully, in stock and very organized. I did not have any trouble locating any items. If you are interested in some BBQ, HEB has their very own True Texas BBQ on site with dine in seating. I can't wait to visit this HEB location again! Sincerely, An HEB fan!

The lake Austin boulevard HEB is finally open and it is as amazing as it was promised to be. 3 levels of parking - one ground level and 2 sub-ground levels - escalators and elevators for carts and humans and great food options like BBQ and pizza, this is well worth a visit. They have a great variety of fresh product and meat and I loved the arrangement of the aisles. It is new but it is very well maintained and they have ample staff to stock and take care of the place.

Google
Genuinely the best grocery store. Their waygu beef is not only affordable but is some of the best grocery-store-bought beef I’ve had. We’re obsessed. The number of startup food product companies in Austin and the surrounding areas shine through at HEB - the number of weird and fun chip, drink, and frozen options has been so fun to explore. I wouldn’t normally rave about a grocery store, but seriously, HEB is the best.

I purchased this salad kit and three others from this H-E-B on Monday night, and this is the third or fourth time that ALL my salad kits go bad before they're even a week away from expiration on the package. This has happened at a lot of other H-E-B stores in the Austin area, so I can only guess that they are leaving their salad kits out of temperature for too long during the shipping/stocking process. Maybe put fewer cases on a float and work them out to the floor quicker? Or get the pallet in the cooler faster when it comes off the truck? I don't know, but to pay $4 per salad and to have to throw them all away, repeatedly? Screw that. I'll be buying my kits from Trader Joe's, quality is always much higher. Here, everything's not better.

Google
This is a huge H‑E‑B! You will find anything and everything you need at this location. There is a large selection of fruits and vegetables, a nice bakery, a place you can sit and have coffee, a barbecue restaurant which was kind of crowded, a pharmacy, and of course, a parking garage with ample parking. I really appreciate the red and green lights located at each parking spot so that we know if the spot is vacant or occupied. There are several floors which you can get to by an elevator or escalator. The aisles throughout the entire store are the widest I have ever seen which is wonderful. Shoppers can move around more freely which is much better than the alternative. The staff were all friendly and I honestly wouldn’t expect anything less for an H‑E‑B in Texas. H-E-B hit the mark with this beauty!

Glad I never had to deal with whatever employees are inside of this location if they're absolutely anything like their "security guard" . Quick backstory, I work full time as a musician, had a show in Austin tonight, and was stoked to be back in the music capital as I've had to be in Houston to take care of my mother and she went through hospice. This is my first time being back on stage since dealing with her loss. The show went great I was really enjoying Austin and as I was getting ready to head back to Houston and started to rain. I was driving around since I was in a slingshot just enjoying the air and when it started to rain I was by Red Bud Isle so I pulled into this new HEB into the garage to be able to get out of the rain and wait for it to pass. I stopped by the security guards a little golf cart and he was nowhere to be found. So I went one level down so I wouldn't be bothering anyone while I waited for the rain to pass. Well the security guard comes out of nowhere and tells me I have to leave and I said I'm just trying to wait for the rain to pass I have all my gear in this thing it's not weatherproof and it's expensive here that I can't afford to replace. He wasn't trying to hear any of it told me again that I had to leave and then started to get out of his car with his hand on his hip no I don't know if he's level three security guard or not I don't know if he was armed but that was ridiculously unnecessary. If you're going to do business in what's supposed to be the live music capital of the world you might want to have your employees have a Little bit of sympathy for somebody that obviously has a full vehicle of gear that was worth hundreds and hundreds of dollars and it doesn't take Einstein to see that it's raining outside. Then I don't know what fueled his smugness whether it was his fake badge on his chest or if you had a gun on his hip but either way he decided to laugh because something struck him as funny. A company that supposed to be all about Texas and Austin being the heart of Texas and the live music capital of the world you think their employees would have a Little bit of sympathy for somebody to just trying to wait out the rain it's obviously just gotten off work. This experience was so disgusting that I 1 will never stop at HEB again and I will encourage all of my friends to do the same and I will cross post this on every single platform that I possibly can. Thanks H-E-B400.00 equipment that I can't replace now being ruined that could have easily just waited a few minutes in your garage and thanks to this officer that refused to identify himself appreciate y'all. Just in case anybody cares this was Sunday May 12th at approximately 2:15 a.m.

Yelp
This really should be a public service announcement bc this store is my seafood secret...I drive out of my way to go here to get my fish bc I know for a fact that it will be right off the boat fresh and that's HUGE to me and my family. If relatives find out I'm making a trip to this store, they ask me to bring back shrimp and tuna and whatever else they want, esp. during the holidays. Jacob and his team are helpful and knowledgeable and always go the extra mile for me. I'm weird about cleanliness and I always feel I could eat off the floor at this store...and that means a lot.

Jonathan Z.

Yelp
They used to make tacos here at the coffee/pizza spot for breakfast now it's taco deli. This is just horrible. The breakfast tacos before tasted so much better will not come back.

Tonya B.

Yelp
Worst pharmacy customer service ever...was in the drive thru lane before they closed and by the time i got to the window it was a few minutes after they close..mind you i was the only car left to be served and was refused service. The girl in the window couldn't have cared less it was insomnia meds i needed to be able to sleep tonight when i told her. She just waved good bye at me!!! So rude!!!!

Yelp
HEB Lake Austin's recent upgrades have blown me away! First off, the expanded meat selection is a carnivore's dream. Quality cuts, diverse options - they've seriously upped their game. Perfect for those impromptu steak night! Now, let's talk about the two-story setup - genius! It's like a shopping adventure. I can't help but explore every aisle. And wait for it - there's a bar! Yep, you heard that right. Need a break from shopping? Grab a drink, relax, and soak in the view. It's grocery shopping on a whole new level. HEB Lake Austin has nailed the balance between variety, convenience, and a touch of luxury. Kudos to the team for creating a shopping experience that goes beyond the basics. Cheers to grocery runs that feel like a mini-vacation!

Yelp
Really nice store with ample parking in garages below. You can totally make a sojourn here between the tastefully designed shopping area and attached pizza shop and barbecue bars. I really love the garage. It's laid out on three levels with designated parking on the entry level for curbside and pharmacy lanes. Down below there are two more levels of parking and they have indicator lights over the spaces so you can tell from a distance where an open spot is. That is just so cool when garages do that. You pick up your carts downstairs and then you have a choice of getting them upstairs to the store on the top level using escalators or elevators. Fun to watch them go on the escalators. Of course the people move her escalators move faster than the cart mover escalators so you often find yourself waiting on your cart. But there are always friendly staff there to help you get the cart on the escalator. It's laid out a bit different than your average HEB. But your average HEB is changing as they remodel them anyway. And this one has all your departments--not like your typical condensed and collapsed downtown grocery store that omits half the items for square footage. About the only thing I found that I can't find in a regular HEB is outdoor seasonal. That section was cut down to Halloween and Kodi cups. But it probably isn't the time of year for lawn chairs anyway. So go here. Turn your grocery store experience into an adventure. Get something to eat at one of the restaurant bars. Sit a spell. Take your shoes off. Y'all come back now, hear? Recommended.

Yelp
Excellent HEB. Great parking. A person helps you put your cart on the escalator. Great deli items for purchase in front. Would like tables in front to eat deli purchases for times that the outdoor weather is not as nice. Loved the bakery and fresh vegetables/fruits section especially. Very clean. Friendly staff. Worth the drive.

Yelp
So I begged my husband to go to the new Austin H-E-B with me and he finally agreed. We went early so we could look around. The parking garage is nice, and the curbside is in the garage so I'm sure the employees like that! The parking garage is on the 1st floor along with the pharmacy and an entrance to the restaurant. There are employees to help you get your cart to the 2nd floor where you shop. The 2nd floor is a typical H-E-B including another entrance to the restaurant. Overall it is nice if you live close, but it doesn't offer anything special except for the restaurant.

Michaela P.

Yelp
I like the new H‑E‑B. I like the location (convenient). I like the parking (love zooming up/down those ramps). I like the layout (it almost makes sense?). I like the selection (really fresh and some options unavailable at other locations). I really like the H‑E‑B prices. I don't mind the escalator/elevator situation. I wouldn't mind just one more open checkout lane... Geographically, I'm equidistant from 4 H‑E‑Bs but this one is by far my fave.

Rob P.

Yelp
Such a nice addition to the HEB family. Big, clean, and well stocked. They're missing a business center and they don't carry all gift cards, but that's balanced out by a decent coffee shop downstairs.

Omar M.

Yelp
This H‑E‑B is such a fine addition to the area. What's amazing is that they kept their footprint in the area to a minimum thanks to their mostly-underground parking structure. It really kept the area from seeming crowded and messy as does most parking lots. Thank you for your consideration, H‑E‑B! We love this latest Austin addition!

Mark G.

Yelp
Yes this HEB is nice except for the fact that if you are using metro access for transportation to go to this HEB they make you feel like a low life because of no accommodations for the handicaped entering or leaving,no crosswalk for handicapped,if you don't believe me go with someone as a personal assistant on Metro access and you will see.also you are not allowed to take the motorized cart out front so you have to carry the groceries by hand to the out side because they don't allow metro access to enter parking garage, and one of the greeters seemed to have a problem with me and my wife were wanting for our metro access to arrive,Thanks a lot!

Yelp
There's a reason why Texans are die hard fans of H-E-B, and this new location lives up to the hype around the brand. We were here the day after the grand opening. The parking lot is very similar to the downtown Whole Foods with the red light/ green light system to represent if a spot is available. It was just a bit wild with the heavy police presence they had in the garage. I get it, the place is new and they were sometimes helping with the flow of cars in the garage but just seemed a bit much. The store itself is "two stories" but honestly the only thing on the first floor is the pharmacy. You're able to put your shopping cart on a belt that Carries it up to the second floor for you. Elevators and escalators available. The grocery store felt less like a regular H-E-B and a bit more like the Whole Foods design. They have a BBQ joint inside and a place to buy some pizza. The pizza spot does not have seating so it's either carry out or eat out on the patio. The place is shiny and new, and while not the closest location to my home it is the closest to my job. I'll probably find myself in there often- I hope the parking lot isn't always manned with a police presence at every corner.

Yelp
Great experience, the employees were extremely helpful and friendly! First stop was the Cafe to the right of the pharmacy. Berni took my order and was an absolute pleasure. She was very helpful, and friendly. However, our food was not good. We ordered 2 chorizo tacos with egg, 2 bacon and egg, a chocolate croissant and two drinks. A cafe mocha, and a relaxation-tea (both iced). The chorizo was burnt, the tortilla was only heated on one side, and it was not an infamous H-E-B tortilla. It was a factory tortilla, and it was extra small compared to your average tortilla. I was extremely surprised by the quality of the food and drinks. My family and I drove from North Austin to South Austin for this experience because the TikTok video about this HEB really sold this experience. I hope to see the quality of their breakfast tacos improve and a little more quality added to their drinks.

Donald E.

Yelp
Went here on 4/21/23 Very nice store. Got a great tour of the store! Love the layout of the store! Love the meat dept there! Two level H-E-B! Huge store! Great customer service! Love H-E-B! Great bakery items! Love the True TEXAS BBQ restaurant! Yum!

Denver S.

Yelp
Honestly, it's pretty much your standard HEB, just on two stories and with a BBQ restaurant and cafe. Advertised it 3 stories, but one is the parking garage, so you really have 2 stories. Clean and they have cart escalators/elevators for traveling between floors. Just to manage expectations, it is not like Starbucks vs Starbucks reserve, as in, if you were expecting a newer look or feel, it won't have that. Imagine your standard HEB, with 25-50% larger aisles, like 30% more brands/variety of each product than a regular HEB, and on 2 stories. Tried taking a bunch of photos! (Sorry for the portrait view.) TL;DR - To manage expectations, it is basically your HEB, but larger, with slightly more variety in their regular stock of items. You won't leave with a basket full of new items, foods, etc, just a few + your regular grocery list. =)

Amy B.

Yelp
LoveLoveLove HEB Lake Austin! We go early on Friday mornings to enjoy a fresh breakfast and since we are there before their morning rush, we get the whole store to ourselves! Almost. There is always plenty of parking in the covered parking lot, and the spaces are plenty wide. The attendant at the escalator is welcoming and positive. We get our pick of all the prepared foods, the fresh produce, and the yummy bakery products. Self checkout is easy and fast, and then we can eat our breakfast outside and watch the Lake Austin traffic, or inside where we are essentially part of the HEB breakfast club. This is a fun HEB!

Rick S.

Yelp
This is a fine specimen of the H-E-B chain, with an excellent layout and design that is very customer friendly. I like the abundance of underground parking so you're not hustling your purchases through a downpour, a frequent occurrence in central Texas. The parking itself has some nice touches, including high-mounted LED lights that are green or red depending upon if the parking space below is occupied. You can quickly scan for the open spaces even when the lot is busy. There's also space counters as you enter the facility so you know if you can find a space on your level or should go to another level. Inside, the elevators and escalators quickly whisk you and your carts up to the shopping levels. The store has a great selection of produce, meats, fish, wines, and other products, with the staff providing attentive service throughout. There is a coffee and donut shop on the main level and a bbq restaurant on the shopping level. Both are H-E-B run outlets similar to their other store featuring food counters. If I lived in this area, this would be my go-to store for groceries and more. Highly recommended.

Oluseyi O.

Yelp
This shiny new H‑E‑B is massive. I mean two levels, and huge parking deck and two free standing restaurant huge. The escalators carry your carts for you (similar to some target stores). The fresh produce and seafood selection here were my favorite part. I was able to find yellow dragon fruit and a wide variety of apples. The catfish was some of the best I've had from a grocery store. The service was great, the bakery staff was super helpful and there is a ton of registers and self checkout. Lastly, the registers printed a ton of coupons. Lots of free items and spend X$, get X$ off your grocery bill.

Mallorie T.

Yelp
Good heb, I thought it was going to be small because the location, but it's pretty big and cover all heb products. Fun that is has coffee and barbecue restaurant!

Megan S.

Yelp
Love this HEB! Decent sized covered parking garage, not the easiest to navigate but not bad. The coffee shop in the lower level is actually fantastic and won't break the bank. Not to mention the BBQ restaurant upstairs is also delicious and very spacious for being hid inside a grocery store. The store itself feels very clean and new with escalators for your carts, my only complaint is the layout of the store confused me a bit but great place to stop for grocery, pharmacy, or a quick bite.

Watah H.

Yelp
The beauty of living in Austin. The HEB on lake Austin. They serve beers with food at 10 am. I'm in paradise.

Eric K.

Yelp
BBQ restaurant is always INCREDIBLY slow! I have been numerous times and every time there is only one register open and the orders are very slow to come out. I don't understand how it could possibly take them this long. Above average bbq but not exceptional.

Amie N.

Yelp
By far the coolest HEB I've ever been to! It hasn't even been open for a week so there's definitely a lot of traffic in and out of the place, but there are plenty of police officers helping direct traffic in and out of the parking garage. I went in the afternoon on a Sunday and it was pretty easy to find parking. The spots that were open had a green light above it so that it's easy to find an open spot. We were immediately impressed at the escalators for the shopping carts. You basically just roll your cart in there so it latches in, and then it makes its way down. There were also employees standing nearby to help you push your cart into the contraption. There was a coffee shop, pizza restaurant, and BBQ restaurant inside. I know that there's always been a Sushiya in HEB, but this was the first time I saw them selling fried rice as well! They were also offering wine samples inside, with wines priced up to $150 which was super cool. A very fun HEB experience!

Stephen P.

Yelp
HEB's Central Market blew me away! The choices, the quality, the dedication to providing a wide range of superior products is unmatched. Working as a interior stylist for a project in Austin I was suggested to check it out. My usual go to is Whole Foods - not to bash WF, though Central Market was that on steroids. I accomplished my arrayed list of needs in one place. That's a huge plus! I only wish they had them here in Los Angeles.... Stephen www.spiinteriors.com

Yelp
It seemed at one time it would never get open... it was three plus years, some say 5 years, it seemed like 5. However, that was then and this is WoW..! There are so many choices it can appear overwhelming. HEB is really trying hard to deliver a wonderful grocery experience and I for one thank all of those involved. This store must have cost millions. I feel really lucky to have it in the neighborhood. I hated to have to drive all the way to Red River to get great fresh corn tortillas , well not any more. They have a granola section That keeps me from having to shop at WholeFoods . The BBQ is pretty good too , so I am happy and thankful to boot... Thank You HEB, Huge expensive job well done. B R A V O .. HEB ..!

Jena L.

Yelp
Want to feel like an assimilated sardine? I feel the cali influence tremendously in austin and this tops the charts. Not only does everyone in the parking lot honk at you to move in .02 seconds but all the cars seem to have double parked somehow. These spaces aren't even small. Let's get into the store... everyone shopping is extremely snooty except for the workers. The nose up looks and no one smiling? I'm honestly afraid to take an item off the shelf fearing I'll ruin the aesthetic of the perfect product placement. It's not messy at all which I do appreciate, but it's almost one of those stores that's doesn't feel welcoming (like am H‑E‑B should feel) just cold. You know what I'm talking about. Those stores you only go to for emergency beer or food for a trip and it's so inconvenient and not fun to get in and out of due to of underground parking lots, circling to get the best spot even though there's plenty, taking elevators and escalators just to get to the front door. Overall, H‑E‑B, you certainly did it. You've managed to go from a Texas grocery store to the Cali tailored Whole Foods look alike and it didn't take long. But you have barbecue inside so I guess that makes it okay? I won't be back to this location probably ever again.

Takeshi K.

Yelp
Lets just jump straight to what this does really well. Like their other higher end store in Austin or a large wine/spirits store, this one has really great wine! Some of my favorites like Peter Michael, Kosta Browne, Aston, Leoville Las Cases, Casanova di Neri and others are available without much mark up. I have seen many markets carry higher end wines at start up and then dry up to only get the normal and typical juice to lock up like Opus One. We'll see if they can keep this stuff stocked in the months to come. Some other cool finds we found are some central market items that I've never seen at any HEB until here. There are more options at the meat section than the normal HEB. For instance ours only carries the tomahawk pork chops on weekends, I've never seen wagyu skirt steak until now, natural sausage casing, colossal whole shrimp, and many selections of honey. They were missing things I was looking for for instance risotto rice. I was specifically looking for organic and maybe different types, but they only carry reg arborio. Also green peas, not even fresh conventional, only frozen. This HEB is still disorganized or maybe I'm just disoriented being at a different one than my regular one. For instance their "Gluten Free" aisle is labeled as "Free From" but gf stuff is scattered throughout and might be hard to find specific items. Or seafood cookout items in the middle of easter stuff. The "toy" aisle is weak and all over the place, but maybe cuz its not a HEB Plus? They're still figuring out their checkout stations. Ours went down after unloading our groceries and got stuck for 5 minutes waiting for reboot. As for how everything looks and operates, well all the elevators and escalators are new and shiny but I like to be on the move and be in and out. This is going to be a problem when it gets busy in there especially on those one person wide escalators. I also realize that I like wide HEBs than narrow and long like this one. Dairy is a hike if thats all you need. Bbq....we had to try it. They didnt have turkey or ribs so we tried everything else which was basically brisket, both lean and fatty(no burnt ends available), sausage, and pulled pork. The brisket is good, the fatty is moist not fatty via fat cap, but marbled. The lean is tender and not terribly dry. The pulled pork is too sweet and the sausage casing is inedible. Didnt get to try all the sides but the beans are good, potato salad and slaw are typical. Overall a good meal of a deal. Just skip the sausage. I'd come back for a nice selection of wine if I'm in the area, but other than that, its just a new HEB.

Shahrzad Y.

Yelp
Its HEB so we know what to expect as for food and service. But the one thing that sets this one apart is the little coffee/pastry/beer/pizza shop and outdoor seating area that takes the ambience to almost a cafe like environment.

Allie J.

Yelp
Do not use this pharmacy if you value consistency, adequate customer service, or professionalism. The staff is not knowledgeable on their systems or policies- so expect to hear something different every visit. The staff member seemingly in the managerial role, Rudy, was very dismissive, avoidant, and unhelpful. In fact, he went to the back, left me at the counter, didn't come back up, and made a trainee try and help me. I have had minor issues with this pharmacy in the past and it has gotten to a level of consistent problems. Although this physical location is very convenient for me, the clear lack of management and cohesion makes for a very difficult experience.

Yelp
I had been HEB's biggest fan for the past 27 years until recently, and I especially enjoyed the cleanliness of this particular store.. I've ordered delivery 3 times.. The first time was flawless, delivered to my doorstep pristinely and timely..... The 2nd time, the driver left my 7 bags in an open lobby 8 floors down.... The last time, yesterday, I purchased $200 worth of food for delivery on a Saturday afternoon for a BBQ... Problem 1: The driver texted he was here 30 minutes before he was actually here (presumably while he was ransacking my groceries)... Problem 2: the driver had access to the lobby and the elevator because I had two friends at the door to ensure that, yet he insisted that I come down, not only to the lobby door, but out into the parking lot to the trunk of his car....i have a disabling inner ear disease that affects balance; hence, the delivery.... Problem 3: two of the ordered items were hotdogs and chicken wings. The driver delivered the hotdog buns and stole the hotdogs and meat.. The bags were torn apart, and the item packaging was ripped open... Then he stood there watching me struggle to carry loose items after having been prepaid a decent tip at the time of purchase.... Due to my severe hearing impairment, email is preferable to a telephone helpline.. So I emailed customer service..After 7 emails and 7 replies from 7 different people, 2 were finally able to refund the items that were robbed by the delivery person... Then I received another belated email, proclaiming that the issue was closed unilaterally and any further input by me denied.. HEB has gone from the best in customer service to the worst.. Their responses, outside of the form response, had the maturity and intellect of a spoiled 2nd grader..... But the real turn for me is that they are hiring thieves without recompense... It's pretty disturbing to see your bags and packaging torn apart and the 2 main parts of your BBQ ripped off while the driver watches you struggle to carry the loose items out of the shredded bags..Had I not been "denied"further input, I would've expected them to deliver the meat that was stolen at a bare minimum... At the very least, it's good business sense to hear the customer out, even if they're wrong........... That's a shame for HEB.. yes, they're a lucrative company, and I had always absolutely adored them......but when you lose decades-long customers overnight by ignoring their voice in a rude manner, success eventually trends down over time.. It may be a slow, negative ripple down but it's a sure thing..I never write reviews for anything.. That's how bad and disturbing this experience was.......i received a response from HEB to my google review to contact them, so I did, and was sent into the same circle of hell that I started with; then I took another look at the empty hotdog rolls in my freezer and decided to write a review on every site I can think of

Yelp
First day open. Nice covered parking will be nice in summer hest. Escalators take shopping carts to second level for shopping. Bbq testaurant. Brisket is $21.99 lb. Coffee shop drip coffee is $3.25. Tons of auper helpful staff on opening day. Pretty standard HEB inside. The ads mention outdoor terraces with views of Lake Austin. Dont be confused and expect water views. They must mean Lake Austin street cuz I couldnt see any water views.

Yelp
The ambiance is impressive, and the visual when you walk in the front door and see the special cart escalator has a real wow factor. Staff help with the cart loading, so it's not intimidating to operate. The parking garage during the after work rush was crazy. There are mirrors on the ramps to prevent accidents but it's still nerve wracking. However, this location is very convenient for me, so I plan on walking or doing curbside pick up whenever I visit. Everything is shiny and new. The cooking demo area is cool. There's lots of single serve and premade meals near the checkout, and an olive bar. BUT, when I came by at 5:20pm on a Monday, the only HEB tortillas in stock were wheat, which was a huge disappointment as I specifically came in to pick up flour tortillas. Friendly staff members were helping new customers find the products they needed.

Yelp
So impressed by this brand new H‑E‑B. They have a bar, a coffee shop and a bbq joint. The cleanliness is off the charts. They are very quick to checkout here. I drive more out of my way specifically to go to this location

Yelp
Always fresh veggies and meat! Love their selection of locally grown food! Love their selection of wine. Can get everything I need and the prices are great.

Yelp
The service is always great at HEB. THE BBQ was ok! Long lines and only 2 high chairs.

Yelp
This HEB location is the best one that I've experienced. It's brand new and has all of the modern experiences that you would expect from a urban-located store. There is a spacious parking garage and carts have dedicated escalators to help with getting groceries between levels easily. The food selection here is fantastic and if you love wine, they've got an especially robust variety. The one thing I will say that confuses me a bit is that the front of the store where the cash registers area there is no air conditioning which is noticeable when you get to this part of the store and very unfortunate for the store employees that have to work here during the summer. Hoping they can get that resolved for them.

Yelp
Newest design of this Texas-born grocery chain with everything you need and more! Plenty of covered parking on multiple levels under the store itself.

Yelp
Top of the line grocery store and as tourist it was a must see tourist destination. Heard rumors about this lovechild of Walmart and Trader Joe's and had to check it out for ourselves. Theming was impeccable, marketing was amazing and the wide selection of name brands and high quality store brands was very neat. Store was clean and the inclusion of a coffee shop and barbecue restaurant made for a one stop shop for all of our Barton springs essentials.

Yelp
This HEB sucks. First they don't have a business center. The cashiers especially the self check out people are so unwelcoming, extremely discourteous, rude, unpleasant and not friendly. If you don't look like you are a person of extreme wealth, they follow you around the store and watch you like you're a shoplifter. They seem to have a lot of people working there but not doing much of anything.

Yelp
Love my HEB! Found Lion's Mane and many other varieties of delicious mushrooms that are hard to find. Enjoyed walking around the store. Will come back again and again.

Yelp
Well I never thought I'd be reviewing a grocery store, but it's 2023 so here we are! I love the concept. Multi-level building with underground parking. In-store dining. Outside seating as well. Cooking demos. It's middle class fancy, ya know? I went around noon on a weekday about a week after they opened. Got my coffee on the way up from the parking garage. Yes please!! All I ever wanted while shopping is a little coffee to sip on. They have an iced Vietnamese, which isn't available at all coffee shops, so I was impressed. I got the toffee nut latte though and it was great. The pizzas look good too, so I'll have to come back for one of those. Next floor up you've got the BBQ place. I've never had H‑E‑B BBQ (even though I know it's served at another location) so I tried the burnt ends and beans. Mmm-mmm! I do recommend. They have order ahead and pickup too, for future reference. The rest of the store is, well, an H‑E‑B. I've seen reviews about them having a wine tasting area and there's cooking demos, so every visit can be a new and different experience. And I'm here for the spectacle. I'll go again with friends just to visit, and I'll take my parents when they are in town to visit the "big city". Maybe I'll go on a rainy day too. I wouldn't pick this location for my regular shopping though; it's out of the way and I'd probably get anxiety about using the buggy escalator thing. I give 5 stars because it is literally a destination experience, but I would say the garage parking was giving me anxiety and road rage and almost knocks a star off. It's like people have never driven in a garage before. Super slow up and down the ramps when there's no other traffic, extended decision making about turning down an aisle to park that has green lights of open spots, and a kid in a huge van that did a 4 point turn almost taking out the suv he was trying to park next to. Maybe it's just because it's a new place and traffic will die down but if not then I'd have to park and walk. All in all, yes definitely do visit and take it all in. Don't take the fact that it's a grocery store too seriously. Have some fun with it! We live in Texas where everything is bigger and better after all!!

Yelp
Victor and Katie were so amazing at checkout! Never seen someone bag as fast and efficiently as Victor!!!

Yelp
This is a great location. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I love this Heb. I love how the grocery carts go on the escalator. I love how they have a bbq restaurant called True Texas BBQ. I would highly recommend this Heb. I love this store.

Yelp
Good price. Very clean facilities. Fresh stuff. Huge supermarket with several restaurant options in the building. Would definitely recommend

Yelp
I was very impressed with this location, I am in The Round Rock / Pflugerville area and I heard about this location and so I had to come out to here to experience it because I worked for H‑E‑B once and as a born and raised Texan, HEB is of course where I go lol It was a unique experience. I love how they have a parking garage and the escalator, elevator, coffee shop, bar, bbq restaurant and others and the place was really fancy. I love these modern HEB locations, none of them are like that in my area! The service by the employees was above average. They actually talked to you and didn't act like you were bothering them. So while it's pretty far from my area it was worth going to at least once. I would go again, but it would be a once in a whole thing, just because Of distance and gas, but I would definitely come back.

Yelp
The food at the bbq restaurant is absolutely to die for! I love the brisket beans, and they are the best I've ever had in my life. I'd just like to say that the service here is not the best and there was an employee who was rude to my partner and i. Overall the restaurant was very beautifully decorated and I really enjoyed shopping around at the grocery store afterwards. Everything looks so fresh!

Yelp
We went here expecting a great experience, huge selection like an even better Central Market. Boy, were we disillusioned! First, the parking lot is a cluster f*k, lanes too narrow to navigate with cars in both directions, parking spaces too narrow, we were aggravated before we even got to the store. And all the street parking is off limits except for residents. I am told that HEB arranged and paid for these signs. Once you find a place to park, you have to get a cart and go up a two story escalator to even get to the store. On the way, there is an actual HEB barbecue restaurant. Who on earth wants to go to a grocery store for a Texas barbecue meal?!? Once inside, the store is an enormous, generic warehouse atmosphere, not at all the enjoyable shopping environment we had envisioned. The front of the store reminds me of a Walmart Superstore, all kinds of household, drug, non-food items that you have to wade through to het to the actual food in the back of the store. The food selection is not any better or more extensive than the older regular neighborhood HEBs, and is filled with (apparently HEB's current business plan) HEB knockoff products of nearly everything, eliminating the (better) name brands they have tried to copy. Finally, you exit by having an attendant hook your cart into a ski-lift type conveyor-escalator to return down to the nether regions to recover your car. This is an awful idea that is being duplicated at the corner of Congress and Oltorf. I think it's time for another grocery to enter the Austin market (Publix?) and break the HEB monopoly. Please!

Yelp
Store has the shining new car smell and lots of bells and whistles but added about 15 minutes onto my normal shopping time. Not a store I recommend if you are in a rush. Doest meet the standard Whole Foods set DT years ago as a multi floor and dining experience. Hype wasn't worth the wait but still has great HEB employees especially in wine section. Hope Oltorf store turns out better.

Yelp
HEB was my favorite store till they started charging for bags. I will now go to Randall's which is closer or Walmart. Still good for 1 or 2 things because you won't have to buy a bag
