"Arguing about “the best burger in LA” always goes pretty much the same way. The rich guy talks Comme Ça. The boring people talk Stout or Golden State. And then the idiot brings up In n’ Out, to which everyone rolls their eyes. And then he protests: “But it’s $6.” And everyone has to give him that. It is $6. Time to shut the idiot up. Haché LA serves the best $6 burger in Los Angeles, but it also challenges to be one of the hands down best burgers in LA. Committed to freshness, Mick Schepers brings his big buzz Orange County burgers to Silver Lake. Rules abound. Every patty has been fresh ground within 4 hours of cooking. They’ve been formed within the last 30 minutes. Toss the patty on an out-of-this-world brioche bun with a surprisingly conventional set of toppings, and you have a damn near perfect burger. Nestled along Sunset Blvd, this patio space is cozy and inviting. Despite the price and the menu (you know, burgers and fries), this isn’t fast food and the space makes sure you know it. We may not be ready to deem this the best burger in LA, as there are probably many, many kobe beef, gold plated whatevers that are probably pretty damn delicious. But if we're at a place charging $40 for a burger, we're going to order something better than the burger. Haché LA is making burgers for folks wanting a burger. And they just may be the best in that game today. Food Rundown Karma Burger The classic burger. American Cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and karma sauce on a brioche bun. Word for word reaction to our first bite: “Oh what the fck!” We meant that in a good way. Habanero Burger As spicy as it is delicious. And it’s really delicious. Have a large glass of the strawberry-basil lemonade ready. Frites Triple cooked (twice fried) potatoes. Crispy and light. The portion was pretty small, or maybe we are just greedy for more of these delicious fries. Either way, we were left wanting more." - Michael Burke

"Silver Lake’s enduring patio burger spot Hache LA, a branch of an OC burger chain, serves a very good simple burger at a modest price. With a nice grilled ground beef patty and a spread of the restaurant’s signature Karma sauce, Hache LA manages to say something new in a crowded burger landscape." - Eater Staff

The Karma Burger and fries were delicious as usual, but the real hit of the evening was the Cookie Butter Frozen Custard. It just melted on my tongue with the perfect amount of sweetness! Now back the meal. This spot has slammin' fries. I didn't even focus on present company until the last French fry was devoured! I have actually tried ever burger on the menu and the Karma burger is the best, hands down! Even though the music is churned out from Pandora, it fits the mood of the outdoor Biergarten style restaurant. This place is great for large groups on the long tables and couples on the table tops. The ambiance is fantastic and it is always a blast when I come here. I'm glad that we made an impromptu stop here because I got try some dessert for the first time. My friend tried the Apple Pie Frozen Custard. I didn't get a bite, but his face exemplified the amount of bliss he was in.

I love the decoration and the crew. Everybody was super nice. I also like the outdoor dining area and the fact you can also drink a beer along with your food. I ordered the Silverlake burguer...and it was ok. Nothing really special either. But for sure it tasted fresh and well made Next time I will get myself a classic burguer. Nothing better than the classics!

Pricing is a bit high for quality of beer and service for me. I asked the cashier for a recommendation and he didnt know what to say. He asked a girl who was inside kitchen area for a recommendation and she just very plainly recommended the cider. I ordered the special of a pitcher that comes with free French fries. Cider was okay, but french fries and the dip it came with were great. All in all I dont think I will be back due to me feeling kind of unwelcome.

Only had the karma burger and a drink, but damn that patty was amazing. Had 5 burgers in my visit to LA and this was my favourite by far.

Good basic Burger. The fries were especially good with a side of garlic Mayo for dipping. Order at the window and they'll bring it out to your table

Super slow... we waited thirty minutes and there were only 2 or 3 orders ahead of us. the burger had no flavor whatsoever. They didn’t season the meat - just cooked it and then threw some sauce on top. Fries are sorta soggy, no salt. Some attention to detail and this place would be fantastic, but as it is, I would not recommend you stop here for lunch.
