Hackney Church Brew Co.

Went to the launch of Hendl, the new rotisserie chicken outlet at Hackney Church Brew Co, headed up by Sal Whitehead of Peck Peck. Delicious tender chicken and aji verde smashed potatoes. Great selection of beers from Hackney Church as well as guest beers such as Otherworld barrel aged barley wine

I’d say this place was probably my favourite brewery so far. I’ve been back several times and even got a six-pack to take home. The beers are really good. Honestly, they’re all great. Would like to try the food cause that looks good too.

Every Thursday they have selected tap beer for 3.5 which is quite good. We came here randomly walking around, and seeing cheap beer we decided to stay which is one of the best decision of our London trip. We like a lot gazpachio beer and fish and chip. Is enough for two of us. And it was really delicious not regular fish but still good and juicy

Went here for the Sunday roast, I had the pork belly. Flavours were really great and the fat on the pork belly was nicely rendered, almost creamy. Good amount of gravy which was also flavoursome. The sauce in the picture is apple sauce with mustard which was an interesting mix, it went well with the pork. The only let down was that the skin on the pork wasn't crispy at all. Quite pricey at £24 but I would probably still go again. The beer selection was healthy!

I went to Hendls last night with my friend. The food was amazing. The chicken was absolutely succulent. I will definitely be coming here over and over again. Wish I could gove 6 stars

Great brewery tap, good selection of own brewed beers both on tap and in cans to takeaway. Friendly staff, only downside no non alcoholic versions of brews, but did have a selection of non alcoholic beverages ie coke, lemonade etc

If you’re looking for a top notch Sunday roast then look no further! This is an absolute must for anyone who is passionate about their meat and finding a place that cooks with great pride, care and professionalism. Located in a railway arch they have combined a top class kitchen with a microbrewery to deliver arguably one of London’s best Sunday lunches. The beef was cooked to perfection with crunchy roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. Two slight negatives - a very limited wine list with no option for corkage and a single very rich and quite sugary pudding. Other than that, an outstanding trip across London for an absolute feast. We will definitely be back!

Booked for my birthday for 30 people, attended in full and stayed longer than the allocated time but was charged £50 two days later with no prior warning or explanation. The charge is outside the terms stated in my booking confirmation. Have been ignored by the venue after both a phone call and a formal email so I have had to resort to disputing the charge with my card provider

Cute little place tucked away. Food was delish. We tried the steak with green sauce. And by the picture you can see that it was gone! Come for a pint and leave with a full belly!

Awesome blend of brew and food on church premises. What an idea! A community gathering place in a really out-of-the-way London location that tourists need to spend some time finding. Besides interesting micro-brews, there's Elliot Cunningham, the chef from Lagom, a street-grill guy turned master chef who feeds you with roasted foods for a reasonable price. Elliot won't be here long because sooner or later a first-class emporium will grab him up at a high salary that will boost your tarif. Go now so you can say, "I knew him when...."

Very nice brewery: the place itself is cool, beers are quite good and service is friendly and attentive. I had a Pilsner and a Session IPA that I both enjoyed.

Couple great food with some of the best micro brewed beer in London, and this has become s must stop! The lighting and decor of this restaurant is fantastic, and coupling with St. John at Hackney Church is a great idea. Beer for all sorts indeed! Hope for Hackney!
