"This restaurant is tucked away at the back of a fashion and design concept store showcasing young designers. Behind the wooden door, light flows through the glass roof into a space with an open kitchen and a bare concrete floor. A veritable cultural hub, the basement includes a small exhibition room, a cocktail bar and a table d'hôte. In the kitchen, chef Victor Blanchet (who was a contestant on French TV's Top Chef in 2023 and has also worked at L'Arpège and Neso) is inspired by the Mediterranean and the Basque Country – serving dishes that are colourful, light and well composed, such as sea bass tataki flambéed with pastis, beetroot mousseline and preserved lemon. Online bookings only." - Michelin Inspector

The 15 Best New Restaurants In Paris

"Paris has been trying to make restaurant-boutique hybrids work without much success. But Halo, which is a shop highlighting young fashion designers, an art gallery, and a design-y bistro, might be the one that sticks. You can lunch with a prix fixe menu, but dinner delivers a more lively experience. Whenever you come, you’ll enter through the boutique and pass through a changing room to get to one of the slick green marble tabletops set up beneath a skylight. The vibe veers a bit futuristic when the sunlight dims and you dig into beautifully plated, knockout shareable dishes inspired by Basque and Provençal cuisine, like the ravioli stuffed with Basque chistorra, brousse cheese, and espelette pepper. Halos of orange, red, and yellow light are projected onto dining room walls as staff in slouchy, faded jeans and vintage tees swerve around tables serving creative, low-alcohol cocktails. Designers and Chefs Open the Most Fashionable Restaurants in Paris | Eater

"Tucked on a quiet side street in the Sentier neighborhood of Paris’s 2nd arrondissement, this hybrid boutique-and-restaurant occupies a 1750 building that once housed the upscale Hôtel Osmond brothel, the Vatican and a leather atelier. Opened by Victor Goyeneix and Matthieu Nicolaï in 2023, the chic space hosts a rotating roster of young designers — photographers shooting models, a designer at a sewing machine — and leads through a pistachio-green carpet and dressing rooms to a dining room under a glass roof, with stairs down to a club and private dining room. The back half is a fully fledged restaurant led by chef Victor Blanchet, who trained at L’Arpège and Neso and appeared on French Top Chef; he serves seafood-centric, French Mediterranean and Basque–tinged dishes finished with purple flowers and grilled herbs amid brown leather banquettes and deep-green Guatemala marble. The operation is intentionally integrated rather than a tacked-on concept, trading on creative cross-pollination between fashion and food to attract tastemakers while keeping serious cooking at its heart." - Rooksana Hossenally

Had a nice large group dinner here with a set menu for €70 pp. Although a bit pricey, the service was fast and attentive. The food was ok, but the drinks were fantastic. There is a small bar in the basement, which is very fun. Not sure I would go back but fun experience overall.

From the vibes, to the food and exceptional service, everything checks the boxes of what a perfect restaurant looks like. The food was cooked to perfection, the wonderful staff paid attention to our requests and always made sure we feel well taken care of. This will be my regular place for dinners! Kudos and bravo Halo Team!

This place is definitely becoming on my top list! Amazing food, lovely staff ( they made sure we get a private room for the last minute to have a better experience ) and even more lovely design It’s quite hard to find places in Paris that manage to combine all of it in once but Halo surprisingly did. Absolutely recommend it and I promise to become a regular. *saying hi to Maxime :)*

Really liked the place, the food was delicious. I recommend trying the cocktails ❤️ Everything was delicious, I liked that the waiters always refilled the bread plate

We discovered Halo in a last-minute search for an interesting restaurant that was open at the end of August. Though only 10 minutes away from our apartment, this was the first time it came to our notice. It turned out to be fabulous! Our servers were very attentive and friendly. Not having a huge appetite, I had only their side salad as an entree and even that was among the best salads I've had in Paris. My veal was beautifully done with a delicious sauce. My husband had the ravioli as an entree, which he said was excellent; and the red mullet, which he thought was equally good. I had their cheeses, which were unusual selections and very well chosen. We had a red Savoie to accompany the meal, which I wasn't crazy about and would choose differently the next time. It is a great find and we will definitely go back next time we're in Paris.

In all honesty, this visit began with my being late to my own reservation by half an hour due to traffic. I called and spoke with Maxime to discuss and he very politely let me know that it would be difficult to host me as there were other guests set to eat at 21h30. I came in to apologise in person and he was gracious enough to offer me and my partner their private dining table instead. This was one of the best restaurant experiences we've had to date. The staff performed incredibly and the food was delightful. The interior is unique and cosy, despite a mostly white surrounding. I will be coming back. P.S. I would suggest the lamb shoulder, if it is still on the menu whenever you dine)

Wonderful experience; a trendy interior with attentive and informal service and surprisingly subtle and fine dinner with a well selection of natural wines and a great mocktail. Worth a visit. Recommend the wood-fired grilled octopus with Jerusalem artichoke mousseline.

Located in a former “maison close”, you are welcomed in a chic and cosy green carpeted entrance, leading to the restaurant hidden behind an imposing door. The wonderful friendly staff makes you feel at home under an impressive veranda opening the view on the historic surrounding architecture, immersing you in a sample of Paris. A great playlist creates a funky vibe at the perfect volume so you can hear each other whisper too. Perfect for romance or with friends! We started with a delicious mocktail, fragrant and refined. The food is exquisite, layered, and surprising. Pigeon, octopus, gambas, potatoes are served with unexpected spices and combined in a perfect balance of textures, fat and acidity. The generous proportions are rich in flavour and light on the stomach. The deserts are not to be missed, combining subtle flavours, crunch, mousse, warm and cold for an exciting sensory experience. Don’t miss the hidden bar and small club in the basement, absolutely gorgeous! Lots of love for this place and the people running it, it was perfect. 🫶
