"All locations, including Old City and University City, will be open on Christmas — according to owner Han Chiang, "it's their busiest day of the year." - Ernest Owens
"Since 2007, Han Chiang has been perfecting his menu with an undeniable appreciation of spice throughout all his Sichuan dishes. Han Dynasty has become a Chinese dining institution in Philly with its remarkable dan dan noodles, black pepper short ribs, spicy prawns, green peppercorn fish, and more." - Ernest Owens, Diana Lu
"The West Philly Han Dynasty checks two important boxes. They serve good Sichuan food, and you can treat it like a full-on sports bar. We love the spicy dan dan noodles with pork, as well as wontons in chili oil, scallion-style lamb, and shredded, gingery duck. Order it all while you watch the Flyers lose. " - candis mclean
"Known for its dan dan noodles, Philadelphia’s Han Dynasty — which already has locations in the East Village, the Upper West Side, Dekalb Market, and recently Long Island City — will occupy a spot in the same 8,700-square-foot space at 124 Bay Street in Jersey City." - Melissa McCart
"With lots of locations, Han Dynasty’s Sichuan food is all over the city. Unlike the old, ornate Old City space or University City’s sports-bar theme, Manayunk’s is the most lowkey. Instead of TVs inside, they have a bunch of large tables where you can bring a last-minute group for an affordable meal (entrees are all under $20). The dan dan noodles are the signature dish here—beware, they’re pretty spicy—but if you can’t handle the heat, there are about 50 other things on the menu that you can get instead. Or just suck it up and get the dan dan. It’s worth it." - Candis R. McLean
