Google
I’m not much of a reviewer unless an establishment is amazing or the opposite. I must take the time to let everyone know that this was the BEST fish and sushi that I’ve ever had. It was incredibly fresh and each dish was better than the next. It is most certainly worth the price (although less expensive than some other spots). The drinks were also suberb and service was excellent and genuine. Don’t be fooled by the exterior appearance. Once you go inside, it’s chic and modern. Absolutely will give Hane 10+ stars.

Google
Absolutely love the sushi here! Incredibly high quality fish (which you will pay for) it’s so worth it. They have great rolls, hand rolls, and nigiri. It’s a super casual neighborhood restaurant with top notch sushi bar. I would love to make this my go-to sushi place if it wasn’t for the high prices. Great service!

Andrew Brown

Google
A perfect destination for high quality sushi, great service, and decent prices. This is not an overly fancy spot, which is ideal for a more casual night out when you are just craving some delicious raw fish.

Outstanding sushi. Very fresh. Amazing experience with ultra cold beer on tap.

Google
Hostess/waitress asked us to leave after 1-1.5 hours to free up table space. Overpriced small pieces of mediocre Sushi. The uni was very tiny and extremely fishy. When we mentioned it, the hostess/waitress rudely told us that “it’s very special Uni from Japan and it’s normal to taste fishy!” Wow, really? I have eaten uni for many years and never had such poor quality, never should it taste or smell fishy! At least they could’ve given us a little credit, but she charged us the full price, even though I returned one of the two pieces because it tasted so bad. San Diego certainly has better Sushi restaurants! We did, however, enjoy the atmosphere and the fact that most of their Sushi chefs looked authentic. Not returning.

Came here on a weekday for lunch and sat at the sushi bar. Hane Sushi closes at 2pm, but reopens later for dinner. It wasn't too busy when I walked in around 12:30pm, but they had a solid amount of tables about an hour later. Service did not appear to falter just because it was close to closing... it actually got even more attentive, but not in a pushy "we're about to close" way. Staff here is super nice and I can tell that the chefs are happy to chat with customers to find out what they like. I got the crunchy salmon roll ($24--the menu posted on their website says $19, but that's very outdated) and the special ceviche roll ($27). Based on past reviews and pics on Google, the ceviche roll has been available for several years now (and should probably be on the regular menu), but maybe they switch up the fish here and there? Mine had spicy tuna/avocado inside and was topped with seared yellowtail, cilantro and jalapeño. The fish was verrrrry fresh and of great quality. The location and ambiance is also nice, but nothing special. I will say though, that the entire place was super clean, even the bathrooms. I think that Hane's prices are a little higher than they should be, but I feel like that's most places in SD. The fact it cost me about $50 for two special rolls during lunch is the reason why I won't be back again anytime soon. I There are other places in the area that offer quality sushi with lunch specials, or just more reasonable pricing generally. I'd still recommend Hane Sushi to others based on the quality and good experience, but this place is better suited as a date night rather than a stop for lunch.

Very good servicie and the food was amazing. I ordered the rainbow cut roll.

Google
Hane Sushi is delicious. We went here last night for dinner and had AMAZING service and food. The sushi came out quickly and while we waited we had some tasty smooth unfiltered sake and appetizers. The best sushi 🍣 roll of the night was easily the Ceviche Roll which I highly recommend you try. You can also order the stuffed tomato! I can't wait to come back here with my wife and eat here again since we had a fantastic time.

Yelp
Everything was delicious. Great quality fish. I highly recommend the salmon and tuna tostados!

Yelp
It's really expensive for the quality of the roll. The itself wasn't too bad but it didn't taste so fresh for some reason, and it certainly didn't highlight the fish. The service was also extremely slow when the restaurant was around 70% full with us getting our first plate around 45 minutes in. In total, it took us almost 2 hours to get the little food we ordered.

Yelp
Hane sushi was recommended to me by a few trusted people, so I decided to try it. Downtown parking is always hit or miss, but we did find parking quickly around the corner. The food was flavorful, and fresh. I really enjoyed the salmon tostada, jalapeno hamachi, and the Yoshi special. The calamari was just okay for me and came in a very tiny amount. We tried a few other rolls like the ceviche roll and to me it was just okay. Customer service was good even though they were really busy. I would say it is a bit overpriced for the amount of food you get, but worth a try to order the things that are worth it!

Yelp
Really top-tier sushi. And it's no secret either this place is busy. The family really enjoyed our selections and we split it between sushi and sashimi. My suggestion is to sit at the sushi bar and talk with the chefs. They have a number of tables as well and a very small bar. It's very comfortable restaurant and the owner is very friendly. We will be coming back soon.

Yelp
We had an excellent dining experience on a Thursday night. The sushi and non-sushi items are delicious. For appetizers, we ordered yellowtail hamacha (neck bone) and the miso chilean sea bass--both were juicy, flavorful and cooked just right. We also had crunchy roll (shrimp tempura), caterpillar roll (eel), and unagi sushi (eel). We enjoyed the salmon tostada (prepared by Chef Roger Nakamura) that was a little hot, yet slightly sweet with the sauce, and very fresh fish. The food was beautifully presented (i.e., avocado slices displayed and layered just so pretty) and very tasty. We also had a sushi combo (which came with California rolls, unagi sushi, and a variety of raw sushi/cooked sushi)--very pretty! We were celebrating a birthday and surprised with a special grilled pineapple slice and ice cream. The service was friendly and prompt; our server was very nice (Japanese lady whose name started with an "H"). We saw at least four sushi chefs behind the counter and a number of servers and a bartender at the bar in addition to a hostess. The place was busy on a Thursday night, with the sushi counter (seats about 14 people) full and just one or two empty tables in the restaurant. Even the miso soup was delicious with tofu, We look forward to another visit!

Yelp
We came here yesterday for lunch and had an awesome experience; this was my 3rd time here and it lives up to the many positive reviews praising the quality of the fish and the overall dining experience. Here, Chef Roger Nakamura, a protégé of the renowned Yukito Ota of Sushi Ota, showcases his mastery of sushi preparation. Diners can expect to find pristine cuts of fresh, seasonal fish meticulously arranged on handcrafted plates, a true testament to Nakamura's dedication to his craft. We particularly enjoyed the tuna tartar appetizer and sushi combination order (comes with miso soup), perfectly paired with a green tea. Hane Sushi is open and the seating area is an airy, light-filled room. The sleek red and black décor creates a modern Japanese aesthetic, with clean lines and minimalist touches that set the perfect stage for the culinary artistry to come. Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends. You can book through OpenTable or by calling the restaurant.   Dress code is casual to business attire.

Yelp
We were in San Diego the day after Thanksgiving & this place was highly recommended by a friend. The sushi was outstanding! Very fresh & literally melted in my mouth. Superb quality sushi. I didn't like the shrimp tempura roll at all. It was placed on a plate and had soy sauce underneath the entire roll which I've never seen before and it was very salty. I only ate the inside part. The service was just ok. They weren't busy at all - yet the female servers acted annoyed that they were working or had to take our order. They both had a bit of an attitude. That being the reason for 4 stars versus 5. The restaurant itself is nice & has a modern design. I would definitely go back when in San Diego.

Yelp
Definition of sushi grade is high quality fish, and Hane has it! Everything we ordered exceeded expectations. Even the Toro, which we had before at other sushi restaurants, tasted superior than other places, perfect temperature, buttery texture that seemed to smoothly melt on the palette with hardly any chewing effort. Ordered a few oysters, they tasted fresh and flavorful, beautifully presented. We also ordered a cold sake, which was served in a mini ice container with modern esthetic shot glasses. Not a lot of places bring your sake on ice, but it's the little things that make a place standout and make a memorable experience. They also have a full bar, I ordered a lemon drop towards the end because I saw the table next to us order one after another, and it was perfect as a pallet cleanser and great for the hot summer San Diego weather. Service was excellent, the staff was on point, polite, and helpful with recommendations. The vibe seemed to be on the business casual side, tables maybe a little too close to each other, perfect for someone who likes to be chatty and make new friends on the spot. Maybe not ideal for someone who is trying to have a quiet intimate date, unless it's your first date and you're trying to prevent any quiet awkward moments, then you can definitely buffer that by making casual conversation with the neighboring table. As for prices, it was on the higher side, but it definitely matched the quality. The only suggestion I would have for Hane is to provide a complimentary palette cleanser at the end, such as a mini sorbet. Some high end places have this little treat for guests, some even served in a shot glass, and makes a nice little touch to end a dinning experience and provides satisfaction to a guest that their money was well spent. I would overall considered Hane to be a well balanced establishment in terms of food, quality, and service. I would definitely come back and even suggest it to friends visiting from out of town.

Yelp
This is an amazing sushi restaurant! Nothing absolutely fancy but the quality of the fish, service, and vibes were 10/10. We had salmon nigiri, miso soup, green salad, some rolls and their hot sake. Everything a hit! Especially their soft shelled crab hand roll. We were down the street first hoping to get a seat at a fancier place but they were absolutely full and could not take any walk ins. This place took us right away no issues!

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place for the longest and I'm so glad that I did! I would make a reservation as this area gets crowded and the restaurant isn't that big. Servers are all very friendly and the restaurant itself is pretty trendy. As for the food, everything is really delicious, but definitely on the pricy aide. Food review: Sashimi (10/10) It was melt in your mouth delicious. My favorite was the toro. Yummmm! Salmon tostada (10/10) The sauce, the crunch of the tortilla, and delicious sashimi was such a great combo. We ended up ordering 2 of them. Crispy tuna (10/10) Um, yumm! These are a really good portion size and they taste amazing. The crunch was just right on these. Jalapeño brings a nice kick to it. Blue crab handroll (7/10) Apparently they are seasonal so we tried them. They were warm and super flavorful. Great crunch to the crab and really filling! Bluefin roll (10/10) I loved this roll. Bluefin is delicious, the flavors combined really well, the crunch was a nice touch on top. Ceviche roll (9/10) Super spicy! The roll itself though was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised with how good this one was. The jalapeños are definitely on the spicy side and the sauce on the side is also very hot! Double double roll w/ salmon (10/10) The salmon on top was seared and the salmon inside literally melted in your mouth. This roll was everyone's top choice at the table. I'd recommend trying this one for sure. Overall, this place is delicious and definitely worth trying. Be sure to make reservations and note that it is on the pricey side!

Yelp
Wow has this place gone down hill!!!! Hane used to be amazing now it is low quality trash. The staff was unknowledgeable and extremely rude. We ordered a roll and the sushi chef messed up, and when we mentioned it she said she couldn't take it back since it was already made. We did not eat the roll and had her take it back and on top of it she still charged us for it. The blue fin tuna tasted like sewer, my husband and I instantly felt sick from it. Do yourself a favor and do not go here.

Yelp
We found this place on Yelp as we were looking for restaurants around Balboa Park. It is very tiny and I highly suggest reservations, we were sat at the bar since we didn't have any. Seats were very close together and and I kept getting bumped into. We only dealt with the bartender and hostess, both super nice and great service. The food unfortunately was just meh. The rolls were extremely overpriced for basic rolls and they were just ok. We pay under $10 for these at other places and here they were closer to $20 and weren't as good. Happy to try a new place, great people and service.

Yelp
AMBIANCE Japanese restaurant, Hane Sushi, is serving a variety of traditional and modern Japanese appetizers, sushi, sashimi, cut rolls, cocktails, sho chu, sake, and nigori in a clean, contemporary space. Yelp
I have been here several times and it is always fantastic! A reservation is highly recommended (call, not able to book online) bc this place gets busy. Theres tables, sushi bar, and regular bar seats. Most recently I sat at the bar so my friends could watch the football game. I usually go for a seaweed salad but unfortunately, theirs is not my fave. Its too soaked in liquid with a puddle at the bottom and it must be vinegar bc its so tart. The miso soup and green salad are other good options. This time I ordered the Del Mar roll which is AMAZING. Its mixed crab on the inside (real crab) and kobe beef on top. Delectable. I also always go for uni bc I love that creamy stuff! That was delicious as usual. Other rolls I recommend are the double double and threesome. Our bartender provided us with superb service and I may just go for a bar seat going forward - especially if there is a wait for a table! This is my go to sushi spot close to home. Yummmmm
google avatar

Mara M.

Yelp
Wow, we had an amazing meal here! Very fresh fish, fast and friendly service and a super cool ambiance make for a great experience. We did only nigiri this time, but it was all delicious. Cocktail was a little weak and mostly ice, for the same price, the wine was definitely the better value. Rolls seemed a little pricy but nigiri and sashimi were reasonable. Would definitely come back!
google avatar

Matthew F.

Yelp
Food was excellent, particularly the bluefin tuna special. Ambience was a bit odd and very noisy as there was a group that was celebrating something directly behind us when we were seated at the sushi bar. Overall, a very good experience and not ridiculously expensive for what we ate.
google avatar

Valerie G.

Yelp
Trendy, cool and noisy vibe. Had dinner on a Wednesday evening around 7pm and every seat was almost taken. Reservations are recommended. My daughter and I were seated immediately at the bar. The 3 remaining bar stools were soon occupied. For starters, we had the miso soup and the crispy rice sushi. The rest of our orders were the specials for the evening: octopus carpaccio; bluefin roll and salmon tostada. The salmon tostada and bluefin roll were my favorite. Both were flavorful, every bite.. delicious! The octopus carpaccio was my least favorite. It had a chewy, doughy texture, not tender. The pieces were chunkier, lacking the orangy borders of what I am familiar. Customer service was spot on! Hane Sushi & Bar is a cute, little spot tucked in Banker Hill. I would recommend this place for small groups of 2-4, and for date nights!
google avatar

Yelp
The crudo was great. The Diego roll was yummy. Otori nigiri was great. I'd say the albacore was better than the kampachi. Their green tea is really good.

Yelp
Delicious sushi rice, fresh fish, friendly chef, the hall is clean The wait staff provides good service and cares about customers.

Yelp
Best Sushi I have ever eaten! Pricey but worth every penny! The fresh oysters were off the chart! I give it a five star review! Kerry H El Dorado Hills, Ca.

Yelp
Cool sushi spot tucked away into bankers hill. Nice selection of sushi options, definitely some fancy choices here, but for sure on the pricier side. Even the same sakes you'll find elsewhere are marked up higher here. I enjoyed the regular sushi combo that I got which also came with a miso soup. The octopus was actually phenomenal, didn't expect to enjoy that piece as much I did. The California roll was standard as they come. Other pieces like the salmon and tuna were good but not out of this world. The rolls on the menu are unique, but none of them really appealed to me. I'd prefer something like azuki sushi down the street. I found the menu options there more intriguing, the sushi just as good, and the price, slightly easier on the wallet.
google avatar

Javier R.

Yelp
Make reservations if you're coming. We were fortunate, and there was an open space at the bar . Menus were a bit difficult to read and poorly written. I recommend that they revamp their menus for more inviting experience. Wall.menu was a bit confusing, and I expected a different meal. However, I ate what I was served. The actual rolls were tasty and well decorated Drinks, the bartender, and the bar itself were great. Chefs were entertaining, but not a great a show to write home about. Ambiance was a bit bland, boring, stuffy, surgical. I recommend to try a more lively location. Parking was difficult, but again fortunate to find a place quickly. Hostess was inviting and the exterior was mundane. Over, a 3.0 to 3.4 would be my score. The bar area, as i mentioned, was the best part of the location.

Yelp
Came in on a Friday for a lunch work meeting around 11:30am with a few coworkers. Place gets very crowded would definitely recommend making reservations if possible that's what we did for a party of 5. The staff is very attentive, there to answer any questions you have regarding the menu. The quality of the sushi, WOW! Like melt in your mouth type of quality. I haven't had sushi this fresh tasting in a long time. Definitely a little pricey but the quality is there for sure. Totally worth a date night for a special occasion. I'll definitely be back. Keep up the good work!

Yelp
My wife and I heard this place had the best sushi in town so we had to check it out. We like to sit at the bar if we can as we feel always get the best service. This was definitely the case as Jonathan (hopefully I got that right) was amazing. Very attentive to every detail and answered all our questions. You know you are in a legit place when everyone in there speaks Japanese. We had a couple of rolls which were incredible. We also had the Miso Chilean sea bass salad, omg we could have had two as my wife devoured it. We topped the meal off with a wagyu roll. There were only two pieces but it melted in your mouth. We will be back for sure very shortly, it was a great experience and the food was equally impressive.

Yelp
Fresh fish! Wonderful and tasty. Very reasonable prices considering the presentation, service and freshness of the fish. Tried the asparagus appetizer. And the crust tuna rice, which was standard. The asparagus? A bit dry but actually went well with soy sauce. I really think it needs a sauce served with it. Had the crunchy tempura roll. It was ok. Also the vegetable roll, a bit bland? The nigiri was the star of the show. Outstanding.
google avatar

Yelp
Live in Del Cerro, the sushi out here may average 3 stars. Hane sushi is 5 stars. We showed up right as they opened for lunch and the restaurant was full less than 10 minutes later. The sashimi and nigiri here are PHENOMENAL. The quality is so so high. Tastes like it was caught the day before and filet as we ordered. I got the yellow tail, salmon belly, and blue fin. Salmon belly lead the bunch. Prices are steep but well worth the cost. 8 pieces of sushi, 5 piece sashimi, 2 rolls, a soup, and ice teas ran us $140. Excellent social spot. A bit lively as well.

Yelp
Hane Sushi is a Must Try. The atmosphere is great, the chefs are personable and the service was excellent. We loved the taste of Everything we ordered. We ordered the Crunchy Shrimp Roll and California Roll and both were so FRESH and good. Also ordered the Rainbow Roll, Belly Bluefin, Hamachi AAMA Collar and Vegetable Tempura for an appetizer. Loved it ALL.
google avatar

Sharon L.

Yelp
Great sushi, on the pricier side. Restaurant was pretty loud and lively. We called in the day of and was able to make a reservation for that night. The regular sushi combo had good portions and came with a miso soup. For the mix tempura you can order it as an appetizer or an entree, which comes with rice and miso soup. The batter was light and crispy, and we liked how it came with 3 pieces of shrimp. The Hamachi Jalapeno was a special appetizer that came recommended to us. It was refreshing with the citrus flavor and fresh fish. The service was pretty good even though they were really busy. A solid fancy sushi option.

Yelp
If you're looking for quality sushi Hane can't be beat! My favorite roll in the world is their bluefin roll, which is toro on the outside and Alaskan snow crab inside. I usually splurge on the chefs choice sashimi as well because their cut and quality of fish is top notch. Jake is my preferred waiter, but everyone there is friendly and attentive. This isn't the least expensive spot, nor should it be!

Yelp
I gotta be honest, I'm not sure how this place has so many great reviews. Was looking for sushi after a few hours at the zoo and this place seemed to be the closest, with a good menu and good reviews. The menu I reviewed on the website is just photos of a menu from who knows when because both the items and pricing were far different than what we saw. The restaurant was fairly busy but we got 2 seats at the bar. We ordered a large hot sake, sapporos and 2 rolls of which I cant even remember what they were called anymore and all the menu images are years old. Regardless, each roll we ordered was in the high $20 and both were just bland. A woman came in after us and I could hear her also exclaim regarding the pricing of rolls. Service was meh, nothing to write anything about in either direction. I wish I would have been my usual self and at least taken pictures of the rolls or menu but it is what it is and I don't plan to go back to redeem myself. There are too many options for overpriced, bland sushi.

Yelp
I've been here twice in the last week. Everything is very fresh and delicious. Roger the owner is fun to interact with if you sit at the counter.

Yelp
Bankers hill stalwart. Many of the wait staff have been there forever. The quality of the fish is great, and fresh. No complaints!
google avatar

Nastaran M.

Yelp
It's definitely a great spot for date night. We sat down immediately even though we didn't have reservations on a Saturday night. I was impressed with all the choices for drinks and the fish was fantastic. Be aware of the prices though. For a regular Japanese beer we paid $9 and most rolls range around $25. I go out to upper scale sushi pretty frequently so I could tell this was a bit high.
google avatar

Alonzo D.

Yelp
Sushi is as fresh as it can get 10 of 10! And service is Amazing, we sit at the sushi bar and Yoshi hook us up with incredible suggestions! Love the experience and how friendly everyone is in the restaurant.
google avatar

Sarah M.

Yelp
The sushi quality was on point and I loved the fact that there are lunch specials. I was very excited to see that there was a salmon and spicy tuna bowl for the lunch special because oftentimes I order Chirashi bowls with all the things, but sometimes you only want the fish that you truly want to eat. The rice was perfectly seasoned. The salmon belly was melt-in-your-mouth quality. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
Super good sushi and drinks. When I called to make reservations for 3 days there phone didn't work but I was able to get in at 6:30pm on a Sunday. However there was a long line after that. The toro and salmon belly were so good.

Yelp
SHITTTTTYYY SERVICE Update review. Remind me not to return. What happened to this place?! For so many reasons and very little space to explain, just trust me on that the service is horrible. Couple floor servers and couple sushi chefs and ONE sushi chef was the one keeping an eye out. He'd the one who had to tell the server people are here, he's the one spoke about the specials. But everything else and everybody else seemed disconnected. 1) first issue. Lack of accommodating customers from hostess. There was two bar seats available and four bar seats available next to each other divided by a divider (6 tots bar seats available). The two seats were to the left and next to the restroom. They tried to give me that seat and I said I prefer not to eat next to the bathroom. And request they move the divider so there will be four seats to the left and two to the right and I'll take the two the right - since nobody was yet sitting there. Front desk staff "we have a reservation of 4 coming (FYI, my entire time there nobody sat in those seats)". Regardless if they are coming, rearranging the divider won't affect available seats. 4 will still be available. Let's do some elementary math... (Seat)(Seat)|(seat)(seat)(seat)(seat) = (Seat)(Seat)(seat)(seat)|(seat)(seat) Same available seats. Because basics math and basic logistic didn't sync with the host, I am told it will now be a 30 minute wait for an available seat. 2) neglected service. No sushi chef was helpful without having to wave down attention. No server came buy to ask for orders. However other people at the bar were getting servers coming to them as well as sushi chef serving their orders. Been sitting for 30 minutes and no food, no nothing. But people who came later have already been eating their meals. Again, a wave down of sushi chef "so who takes the order? You or the wait staff?" I finally ordered and still waiting for a long ass time. And on a side note, there are empty tables so they can't be that consumed with orders. My dining experience here was flat. I didn't even enjoy the food feeling annoyed inside. Rolls here are little expensive. And sadly, because of the crappy service I only left a $2 tip regardless how much I spent because that's how much I felt was deserved. I'm usually not a cheap tipper but when I do it's because it was deserved.

SOOOO good. This is my new go to sushi spot. You can't go wrong here. Food was fast to come out and the sushi was backed full of fish. You deff get what you are paying for. Service was great. We sat at the bar and the tender was quick and nice. Nice ambiance, not too loud, still pretty intimate for being a small space.

Yelp
The sushi rolls are creative and tasty, but quite pricey. The main attraction for us was the bartender, Johnathon. He made us feel special and gave us great service, but I have found other sushi joints with equal quality sushi and drinks for half the price.

Yelp
One of my top go to spots for sushi! Very good cuts of fish and great service. You will not be disappointed giving this place a try.

Yelp
By far top 3 Sushi restaurant in SD County. From the time you call to make a reservation and you're grettd by the consummate professional staff starting with owner Chef Roger for setting the culture. Mako super friendly hostess, Jonathan the talented bartender, the team of chefs Sean, Yoshi, Roger, etc) Food: exceptional fresh quality never frozen, proper portioning, dressing, seasoning, high quality food in a great chic setting. Let the chef Omakase take you for a ride, you can't stop eating it's so good . Business lunches are a great setting with lunch specials. Be so lucky to get a dinner reservation at this one of a kind Bankers Hill gem

Yelp
Came to visit Take, holy moly. Take holds no punches, we have a long history and he knows he can throw anything at me and he did. I think the highlight though was the Amberjack nigiri with sesame oil and salt on it. Honestly the most simplest things can really just be amazing. Tuna tartar is always a must here, Ikura, any maguro, and he made us a ceviche roll I believe it was called, WOW. Always awesome!!!

Yelp
Good is amazing. The fish is so fresh and delicious. The service is speedy and friendly. Love it's a great little neighborhood spot. They get very busy so it's always a good idea to arrive when they open. Their bar area is first come first serve basis.

Yelp
Came back to revisit Hane after about 8 years and was just as good as I remembered. The Diego roll I believe was so refreshing. Get the toro! All the nigiri here literally melt in your mouth. That's how fresh it is & how fish should taste! Customer service was great. A little on the pricey side but that's what you get for amazing & quality fish.

Yelp
Fantastic food and setting. Most the sushi comes from Japan and the quality of the chefs is fantastic. Sit up at the sushi bar and enjoy watching while you eat. We were super happy with our time at this restaurant and all the rolls, sashimi, soup, appetizers, were amazing.

Yelp
It was pretty good, but really BAD & missing & slow & removed women server (tall, dark hair Euro woman) & table service. Owner Roger at his usual 1st position sushi table & more into drinking cocktail after cocktail & taking sake shots with his known & loyal customers than walking the dining room, checking in on his own biz & customers & running his own biz. Ominous, but he fills most of his tables still. Yes, Roger is also from Sushi Ota, but his old Sushi Ota buddy Mitzu owns & runs rival Himitzu in LJ & busier & better, and offers nearly ALL dishes Gluten-free which my wife appreciates !

Yelp
First and foremost, YUM!! Waking in, you're greeted with an open concept and minimalist decor. Light and bright for sure, perfect for a casual date night paired with great food. We ordered several raw dishes and amongst our favorites were the salmon nigiri and a tostada style dish! Absolutely delicious and fresh. Our waitress did a fantastic job of providing excellent customer service and recommendations. Our pallets were laid to rest with a nice dry sake. We will definitely be returning for this raw experience.

Yelp
This is an outstanding restaurant. We loved every minute of our dining experience here. Went with a friend who knew the owner and we sat at the sushi bar. The food is exceptional. It's a must try in my opinion. Thanks to the Hane gang for a great evening!
