This was the best Korean food I've had so far in the States. The side dishes were excellent — simple, light, and refreshing. We especially appreciated the pickled chilies, a special treat offered by the server, who delivered attentive, warm, and truly exceptional service throughout our entire meal.
All the appetizers and entrées we tried were outstanding, delivering bold flavors without being overly seasoned. The Kimchi Pork Rib Soup was a highlight. Instead of tasting only of kimchi, the broth had a layered, well-rounded flavor, likely enhanced by additional ingredients (I was tasting a hint of tomato paste?) making it more complex and very appetizing. The Bibimbap and Kimchi Pork Pancakes were also delightful in texture and flavors, and had nice presentations. Portions were generous.
Overall, an excellent dining experience that showed great care in both cooking and hospitality. Too bad we discovered this place in the last day of our Portland trip.
