"Hanu’s trick might be the banchan robots roaming the space, but the restaurant placed on the ground floor of one of LA’s larger spas serves some of the neighborhood’s best Korean barbecue menus. The smallest combination feeds potentially four people, and comes with an impressive array of jun, or fried vegetables and fish filets, and even galbijjim as a part of the package. The included galbijjim isn’t world-beating, but it’s nice to have on the table. Servers grill better-than-average meat (don’t expect Park’s or Chosun-level) but the whole table filled with dozens of different bites is what makes Hanu a fun meal." - Matthew Kang, Cathy Park

"Find Hanu, a low-key Korean barbecue spot serving outstanding meat and banchan at an affordable price, on the first floor of a medical building in Koreatown. Follow the smell of grilled meats into the parking lot where the entrance to the building is, and just around the corner into the restaurant itself. A line of robots welcomes guests alongside the check-in booth. They whizz about the space guiding diners to their table and delivering trays of meat and banchan. Some meat robots may get stuck along the way, but that’s just part of the fun. As opposed to busier spots in the city, Hanu is low-key on a Saturday night and easy to grab a seat." - Eater Staff

This place has been our go-to spot for years since its opening. We’ve celebrated countless family events here. The owner is an absolute delight—always on top of things, incredibly friendly, and incredibly accommodating. The servers are equally amazing; everything they serve is cooked to perfection, and they’re always attentive to our needs. Of course, the star of the show is the food! The meat is of the highest quality, and there’s an impressive selection of appetizers. Everything is simply delicious! In my opinion, Hanu is the best kbbq in town, and I’ve tried quite a few. Nothing beats Hanu! Sincerely, from a non-alcoholic beer guy :)

Had a great time at Hanu K BBQ! We were not too hungry so ordered small size beef combo for 2 and couldn’t even finish it. Side dishes that came with the bbq was amazing! We enjoyed corn with cheese, soy bean soup and all the wonderful condiments. They even made stir fried kimchee rice at the end! From the quality, variety of food items, service and ambience.. all were good and highly recommend this K bbq restaurant in LA.

This place is easily one of the best KBBQ spots in LA! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how inviting atmosphere was. We went with Combo A, and it was a fantastic choice! The meats were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly marinated, making every bite absolutely delicious. The portion size was generous, making it great for sharing and leaving us more than satisfied. One of the coolest parts of the experience was their auto-delivery robot—a fun and futuristic touch that brought our food straight to the table. It was smooth, efficient, and added a bit of excitement to the meal! On top of that, Hanu is dog-friendly, which was a huge plus! It’s always a struggle finding good restaurants that welcome pets, so being able to enjoy amazing KBBQ with our furry friend by our side made the experience even better. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. If you’re looking for top-quality Korean BBQ in LA with great service, fun technology, and a pet-friendly atmosphere, Hanu is the place to go! We’ll definitely be back soon.

Google
We celebrated my birthday at this Korean BBQ restaurant. We were surprised that they gave us a bottle of champagne for free. We ordered the beef combo for 4 people which included $40 worth of side dishes. We were very full with leftovers to take home. The quality of the meat was good, way better than the all you can eat Korean BBQ.

Connie & Robbie

Google
This is the type of Korean BBQ we can agree on. The type where they cook it for you at the table. The type with plenty of meats and plenty of flavor. Loved the cheesy corn and the bulgolgi stew. One of our group wished for more variety in the banchan but no one went hungry. 😉 Ample parking and large restaurant. Would go again.

We went to dinner with a group of friends and had a great experience—the staff was very friendly, gave excellent recommendations, and even welcomed our well-trained dog to dine with us in the back of the restaurant. The food was fresh and delicious, and we’d definitely go back again!

Google
The atmosphere was very nice. We were seated immediately and the wait was not too long. The food was delicious and hit so perfectly for our famished bellies. I enjoyed the cute little Robot that delivered the meat to our table. The robot made intriguing faces; it was also very amusing to look at. The meat itself was delicious and I could not stop eating. The food came at different times giving us space to enjoy an learn about what we were eating (If we had any questions). Napkins and utensils were provided at the table and the whole experience was wonderful.

I swear I saw heaven. This place is amazing. The food is absolutely perfect, so filling, so much food, such lovely staff and servers. They always treat and attend us so well. This place is absolutely worth every cent in my wallet, please take all my money.

Yelp
Nina and Alex were amazing as our server. The food is great and the meat was tender. Side dishes were yummy. Soup and corn very good

Aukia C.

Yelp
A wonderful Irene was very nice and helpful. First time going here and I really like design of building.

Fangsheng X.

Yelp
The price and service is good! They make the BBQ for you and the place is clean! The host Nina is approachable and make you feel comfortable! They also have AC so that's a plus

Yelp
I am RAVING about this place!!!!! First of all - a KBBQ place where robots serve you food, while blasting hype music? And an outdoor patio where you can bring your pup? I am coming back here forever and ever. The food here is on the pricier end, but BOY do you get your fill. There is just so much free stuff that comes with the combo orders. The service is impeccable too, our server was just so doting to our little chihuahua, bringing her water and love every time he came to cook our meat. The food is also high quality, and the ambience is very chill. It's recommended that you call in to make a reservation beforehand because they literally place people in specific tables. We were luckily able to get a same-day reservation on a Saturday evening, but as we wrapped up dinner, the place started to fill up (we ate super early at 5:30). By the way, the outdoor patio is only open for dinner service starting at 5:30. There is valet parking right outside the restaurant, but we were able to find street parking not too far away. I think this place is now in my top KBBQ places in LA for sure. The cheese corn and bulgogi hot pot were probably my faves of the night!

Yelp
4.25 stars Restrooms clean (this is a must for any 4 and up place for me) The robot servants are useful, but a bit clumsy. This place has parking! If you have been around Koreatown good restaurants you know this is a plus and was free. Inside was clean, comfortable seats, although the patio seemed like the popular choice. The laminated menu was not dirty/sticky, but seemed a bit worn, not sure, but also a thing I look out for. Meats were fresh and delicious. This K-BBQ the staff does most of the work. The side dishes were also very good, except for two which I found to be on the bland side, however the other sides were plentiful and well made, as well as complimenting the meats. Nina and Mr. Han were attentive, kind, and tended to our table very well. We asked for many extra side dishes and they took care of us quickly and professionally.

Ray C.

Yelp
I liked the food there and I'd have given a HIGHER review if they didn't force me to give them a 5-star review for a freaking FREE SODA! Totally taunted the scoring. Now I wonder did they really deserve all the 5 stars?!

Yelp
TL:DR - Great service, outdoor seating and dog friendly, good food. There aren't many places in K-town that do KBBQ and are dog friendly, so when we discovered Hanu it was a blessing. Located in what looks like an office building complex, on the ground floor and in the back, Hanu Korean BBQ looks small at first, until you walk in and realize that they have a huge patio area. Personally I always thought that KBBQ should be open air, all that smoke and stuffiness inside of restaurants never really jived with me, and now with COVID even more so. Hanu does away with this, with at least 20 tables outdoors, each with their own grill. We ordered the medium size combo platter for 3 people and found ourselves full by the end of the meal. This comes with bugolgi, pork belly, galbi, pork chop, and veggies. The combo also comes with kimchi soup, bulgogi soup, and a huge assortment of banchan. Overall, the food was tasty, but not the most delicious I've ever had. Some of the pork dishes didn't have that much flavor, and really needed the help of the sesame oil and salt to carry them. The banchan were excellent though and I found myself eating through the jun, the kimchi, the salad, and the cheese corn. At the end of the meal they also do a fried rice with the leftover grease on the grill and it was delicious AF. The service was also really good. A robot initially brings out all the meats, and then a waiter will come by to cook them for you. We had our chihuahua with us and the waiter couldn't stop doting on her. He brought water and even fed her a little bit of meat. LOL. Overall, Hanu was a great KBBQ experience and we'll probably return. Just the outdoor seating and dog friendly environment is enough to bring us back, but the food is also good.

Yelp
It is short of the 5 start because the beef tartare was still frozen when they served it. Our group picked at it as it melts, but it was still frozen even at the end of the meal.. which was the main disappointment. The flavor was good, but too bad it was mostly frozen. They do give a large portion of the beef tartare. Our group didn't care much about shrimp, so we ordered the Large Size Combo and it came with generous portion of sides, salad and banchan. We were a group of 6 and it was really filling. We had the pink robot server Popo and that was cute. Our human server was pretty funny too. He also cooked the meats for us. Hanu KBBQ shares the same building as Grand Spa and offers free parking for customers. However, they do have a strict security and will make you move your car if you leave the premise.

Yelp
I've had a LOT of Korean bbq in my life and this was a really solid experience. On a scale from 1-10, I'd give the food a 7, the value an 8, and the overall experience, an 8. If you want bbq, definitely go with a combo. A size Small combo was more than enough for three adults. We were stuffed and we had leftovers to take home. The service was friendly and attentive. The robots were kind of fun. The food was mostly good. The meat was nice quality but the marinade was a little bland and the banchan was fine. The kimchi fried rice was dry and greasy. The big, free parking lot is definitely a bonus! Wed for sure go again!

Sophie C.

Yelp
Went to Hana for the 2nd time yesterday and I love it! Their combos offer a great amount of food. They have a generous number of and variety of side dishes. Unlike most KBBQ restaurants in the area, they have robot servers and a free parking lot! You can sit indoors or outdoors, and I have seen huge groups walk in. The servers come by occasionally to help turn the food, but at times we had to make sure nothing was getting too cooked/burnt. Not a big deal, but note that it's not entirely hands-off KBBQ. Will definitely be back!

Carmen R.

Yelp
This was our first time visiting Hanu Korean BBQ and it was epic. Parking was so easy at the back of the building and the patio seating was so clean, comfy booths and outdoor heaters. But the best perk is that this is the first kbbq place we've been to that is dog friendly! We ordered Menu B (medium size) and it was more than enough food for our group of 3 ppl. We probably could have gone with the small size...they are generous with their portions and everything was so tasty. Our servers were also so attentive...shout out to Denton and Jun. At this kkbq spot the servers cook the meats for you which is nice. We definitely will be coming back to try their premium meat options....the galbi and brisket looked amazing (we peaked other tables)!

Sarah Y.

Yelp
Tried this place out on a Sunday night for a friends birthday and was not disappointed! Everything was so fresh and delicious. I am never in charge of ordering so I don't quite remember what we got! But you can definitely taste the quality! Also if someone is celebrating a birthday they will send out a bottle of sparkling for the table ! Ohh and don't forget to say hi to the cute robot host! Who sing as they take you to your table !

Jaewon K.

Yelp
great food great service Nina and Leo are the best glad to know them and this restaurant

Ada Y.

Yelp
There. Is. A. Free. Parking. Lot. * Meat quality great, robot server is fun, they will cook for you (they, being human servers not the robot ones), But most importantly, if you didn't see the first part, there is a lot of parking available! They also take reservations online, it isn't super crowded or smokey in here either. * I went on a weekday, and it was free. That said, I did see a valet booth that was empty, pulled to the back of the parking lot, so it may be parking on the weekends nevertheless, plenty of parking!

Jennifer C. L.

Yelp
I came here to celebrate my birthday and it was TOP NOTCH! I'll say it feels fun here because they have exceptional service INCLUDING THEIR ROBOTIC SERVICES. It was unexpected but fun that they sent their robototic servers to sing me happy birthyday to start of the meal! The meal was spectacular and definitely abundance in theri portions as we not only over ordered but we took bags of food to take home. The experience feels spectacular and I think this is my new favorite Korean BBQ place to be!

Jairo N.

Yelp
Let me just say that this place is not for an introvert or quiet person due to the fact that it's a lot of social interacting, and it is very loud in there and the waiter has to cook the meat for you. It's not your typical Korean barbecue experience, with that being said, I would recommend this place, because of the great options that they have, and it is very good. The kimchi rice is my fav and the cheese corn. Also, our waiter Jack wasn't as talkative to us compared to how he was with other tables, however, it was a OK experience hopefully next time I go I'll be able to have a better one.

Amelin N.

Yelp
Came on a friday and got seated immediately. Our server Nina was great, she was super friendly and attentive. We got the Combo A (L) so we got a bunch of sides (pancake, several soups/stews, cheese corn) for free. The meats were great, not dry, not tough, very tender and well marinated. No issues with parking, though spots were a bit tight.

Sharina M.

Yelp
Cutest robot servers! the brisket and rib eye were so tender :)) Will be coming back here soon!! Irene was the best and was so attentive to our table.

Vince V.

Yelp
My friend took me here and it's my first time. The service is excellent and great food! Nina and Neo were attentive and made great suggestions.

Shawn S.

Yelp
We loved that they took reservations, but you have to call. We ordered the premium combo plate, which had jumbo shrimp, rib eye steak, boneless marinated short ribs, and thinly sliced brisket. It was a lot of food for four of us. The waiter did warn us there would be a little extra, so no complaints. The service was excellent. They were attentive and cooked the food on the table. The food was delivered by robots that played loud music and were entertaining. They had plentiful, ample parking. The meat quality was high, but the side dish was limited though. We enjoyed this place, and it was clean. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

Amber Y.

Yelp
The food was a 10/10!!!! My friend and I got the D.(S) Combo which was boneless beef rib with korean bulgogi beef and marinated spicy pork was top notch. Oh and it doesn't stop there more food kept coming yall lol!!! So the sides came out which were (2) types of Kimchi, one was called cucumber kimchi which was my favorite and the second one was your original kimchi. Next you have your cheese corn, cold noodles, mushrooms, fried egg eggplant which was super delicious, along with the other thousands of sides I can't remember because it was so good lol.... So the service was superb!!! From the greetings at the front desk to the lil robot that lead us to our table and the staff members who took care of us all night. But most importantly I would like to shout out Irene A she was a phenomenal server she was so informative on recommendations from the menu and what to try on my next visit (teehee) ;) Lastly the ambiance is family/friend hangout and super clean and tidy which I absolutely love. Oh and I forgot to mention that they bring you a hand towel to wash your hands at the table very nice touch Hanu K BBQ ;) & for the closing thank you everyone who was involved with serving my friend and I we appreciate your hospitality you all were super sweet, helpful and friendly. I will definitely be back again thanks for making my first visit a hit. See ya next time

regina c.

Yelp
We came in for my daughter and husband's combined birthday celebration. The food was delicious and the portions were great! We got the Combo B/Medium and was more than enough for 3 people. The meats were thick and not cheap. We got a bottle of champagne free of charge for the birthday reservation which os awesome! The service was excellent! We love the robot servers, so cute! We commend our super amazing server, Lena for being so kind, friendly and polite. Love her! Ambience was cool. The grill wasn't too smoky unlike other KBBQ places and we didn't smell like barbecue when we left! Overall we enjoyed our time it is highly recommended!

Julie N.

Yelp
Went to this KBBQ joint on a Friday night! We made reservations in advance for a large party. We had to get separated into two tables though because each table sat 6 people We ordered the beef and pork combo set (the one that didn't include the jumbo shrimp) and that was enough food for the 6 of us. The combo included many sides including bulgogi soup, corn cheese, some egg thing, salad, and more (see photo). Meat quality was good and standard, I like how they cook it for you. Food is served on a robot but overall given the price point the food was ok They also charge if you want more rice paper and do not have radish paper

Milt D.

Yelp
Nina took amazing care of us and we had an amazing time thanks to her. The food was great and the service was even better!!!!

Vivi L.

Yelp
Ever since I moved out of DTLA k-town seems like a distant dream. In my past experience - if you go to any of the popular spots on weekend, it's at least 30 min or 1 hour wait, plus it's extremely difficult to find parking in k-town and they always rush you out in the end so they can clear for next table. But I was craving kbbq so much that I was on a mission to find that perfect place where I don't need to stress over wait or parking. Here comes Hanu! First win, I called to see if they take reservations for weekend night and they do! Second win, they have their own parking lot and it's free! Third win, we sat there and chatted for hours after we were done with the food and they never came to bother us once! Last but not least, the food was bomb!!! We got a small marinated combo plus some ala carte. It came with so many side dishes, two stews, steamed egg, corn cheese, kimchi fried rice and more!! Best of the meat is the bomb galbi - wow it's so tender that it melts in your mouth it was definitely our favorite. Although we thoroughly enjoyed other meats as well. the portion was generous too. Four of us were stuffed and still had leftovers. This will definitely be my new go-to for no-fuss kbbq!

Cuong P.

Yelp
Delicious food and great service from Danton. Thank you for making our dinner so interesting. Thank you very much for your exceptional service. Will be back soon!!!

Christian D.

Yelp
Regret trying this place. Had difficult time communicating with server due to language barrier. We specifically came because we thought we saw radish paper only to find out they they don't have any. Server cooked our brisket and galbi, ended up dry, tough, and burnt around edges. Food was ok, but for the price we regret not just going to the typical ayce spots.

Amy L.

Yelp
Came here with two other friends. First thing - this is outskirts of koreatown so they have their own parking lot (with a security guard) which is awesome! Second thing - their beef is so good! Highly recommend the beef combo but I think I would skip out on the pork (too fatty for my taste). Third thing - sides are good but not the best..some of it was too salty but the kimchi was good. I wish they had radishes. I do love their salad though! Fourth thing - service is awesome! They help cook your meat and are very friendly when answering any questions we had. They also had robots around to carry the meat trays and sides to your table. Lastly, they do not refill on rice paper.. it was a bummer for my friend because she loves it but oh well. We ordered the beef and pork combo (large) and it was way too much food for the three of us. I would stick to medium next time. We also ordered 2 bottles of soju. Price came out to be $214 for the three of us (not including tip yet).

Charlene T.

Yelp
Nina was fantastic as our server! Huge assortment of meats and banchan. Great value for the small set!

Jeri F.

Yelp
This was our 2nd time at Hanu and I guess we liked it enough the first time around that we decided to come back another time while visiting LA from Vegas. This time, we did not have to wait for a table at all, even on a Friday night. The first time we came, we waited almost an hour for a table. I like Hanu. I like their meats, the banchan, and the service is decent as well. The robots guiding you to the table and serving your meats also add a very nice edge to the restaurant over other KBBQ places. My only qualm with the place is their pricing. Now they can definitely justify charging $114 for 3 types of meats because the portions that they serve are HUGE. However, if 2 little Asian girls with small appetites decide to congregate here, they are definitely going to have leftovers. And when there's no way to eat those leftovers because there's no way to reheat them (when you're staying at a hotel that does not have a microwave in the room), all those leftovers just go to waste. Maybe they can consider offering an extra-small portion for the little Asian girls with smaller appetites. The small portion is definitely enough to serve 3 people with our appetites. Anyways, I would probably come back here with reinforcements.

Brian K.

Yelp
After game kbbq on Sunday night! Took @lobyan_music and @yo_its_jacky1 to my sister's place, @hanu.kbbq.la ! There's always parking available when pulling into the Grand Spa building parking lot. Hanu BBQ is on the ground floor. Checked in with the hostess in front, then followed the robot to our table after a few minutes around 730pm. We had already started feeling hungover from all the days festivities, otherwise, this is a great place to drink too. Ordered B Combo Large, which is both Black Angus beef and pork. I ordered a bottle of Cass beer for myself. The robot brought our sides and assorted dishes- egg coated fried brisket jeon, corn cheese, dwenjang jjigae, spicy chicken tang, bulgogi hotpot, kimchi fried rice. Also brought a huge platter of meat, onions and mushroom. Our main server was Pablo. This Korean guy spoke Korean, English AND Spanish! He was so friendly and quick with everything. I literally didn't see him stand still other than when he was serving a table (cooking, cutting and conversing with people). He was joking with my friends in Spanish, talking about his family. The meat selection started out with the brisket, mushrooms and onions, followed by a thick cut of ribeye steak. Once that was devoured, we moved along to the pork jowl and the thickest cut of pork belly! We waited for it to cook a little crispy, making lettuce wraps with ssamjang and rice paper, which Bryan said felt healthier. Pablo finished with the marinated garlic skirt steak, then ordered the kimchi fried rice. We got some additional lettuce and rice cake wraps and almost finished everything! Meat quality was exceptional. Service was perfect. The restaurant space is huge, but was still pretty busy for a Sunday night. Hanu's been open for a few years now, and it was really good to see it still doing well. Keep it up!!!

Karina P.

Yelp
Food is delicious! High Quality meat and their sides are soooo good and our server Lena is Awesome!

Toph L.

Yelp
Hanu is our FAVORITE KBBQ spot in Koreatown. The meat quality is great, and there's an array of banchan plus veggies. Irene was our amazing and super attentive server. She cooked the meat perfectly and got me butter for our ribeye. We never finish but always have delicious leftovers to take home - best perk about a la carte. Will continue returning!!!

Rong G.

Yelp
The food is so good--especially the service. The waiter gave us the vitamins after drinking, which were so sweet.

Gina K.

Yelp
I came here for the first time and we were seated very quickly. My servers were Nina and Leo and they were extremely friendly and fast with the service. The place is clean and loved the vibe of the place. Food is amazing, banchans are great and tasty. They brought out full table of banchans and we were impressed. Meats are tender and juicy. Overall I give this place 10/10!!!! Definitely stop by if you are near!

Isabell M.

Yelp
I saw this place listed in LA Eates. First time here and the menu was confusing. There were not a lot of condiment options that were good. The cat Popo is really cute. I feel that the overall quality of the food could have been better, the meats are very dry and bland. I am also leaving this review for the free soda. We had Nina as our server she was very nice and kinda helpful.

Spring H.

Yelp
The meat quality is decent and they give you ALOT of side dishes! Servers (Alex and Nina) are also nice and attentive. Would recommend to visit once but I have my favorites.

Katie K.

Yelp
This place has really good service! My server was named Nina, she was very kind and attentive. She explained each side dishes and helped us cook our meat. The food has amazing quality for the price they have priced! A lot of free side dishes will come with any combo meals! Me and my boyfriend came here without expecting to eat so much Also its free parking !

Andrew P.

Yelp
This place is it. In my humble opinion, it's the best KBBQ place in K-Town. My previous favorite was Quarters, but man this place blows the others away. Just to list off a few reasons here it is: the restaurant is super clean, the meat is high quality, the service is amazing, and did I mention free parking?? They have their own private lot. Imagine going to Korean bbq in K-Town and not have to worry about parking. Our servers, Nina and Neo, were amazing. Shout out to them! They cooked the meat to perfection and everything tastes great. Not sure why this place isn't packed 24/7. I feel like people are gate keeping this place. I'm confident that one day this place will have insane wait times, but until then take advantage of the low wait times! When I have friends or family visiting outside of Los Angeles and they want the best KBBQ experience, I'll always bring them here. TL;DR Hanu has the best food quality, parking, cleanliness, and amazing service in K-Town.

Hana M.

Yelp
Tonight we went to Honu Korean BBQ- The food was delicious. My family and I have been to many Korean barbecue restaurants and we really enjoyed Hanu. Leo & Nina we're very friendly and attentive even when it got crowded. And of course we loved the robot waiter. We will definitely be back.

Yocelinn C.

Yelp
The food is so good. The servers very polite, specially Nina. The vibe is very fun and outgoing!

Ron P.

Yelp
Came for a Thursday dinner and ordered the beef combo for the three of us. Was very surprised by the service, there were not many customers at the time, but the server was busy(?) and a lot of our meat was burnt. Very very disappointing for the price level and the Yelp rating. Was more than enough food for the three of us though! The ambiance is like a typical kbbq place, there was a narrow walkway that was frequently blocked by their serving robot.

Liana G.

Yelp
The food was great. I really like that the packages they have are enough portions for parties of 4-6 people. We came on a Wednesday evening and were able to get accommodated immediately. Loved all the side dishes and I would definitely come here again.

Jonathan L.

Yelp
My Gf saw the amazing reviews from Hanu and decided to give it a try. One of the biggest perks about this location is that they take reservations! No more waiting an hour outside waiting for a table. Another awesome benefit is that they have a huge parking lot in the middle of K-town for restaurant eaters. This is hard to find! We were able to call the morning of to get a table for 4 without any issues. The service is great and we were seated fairly quickly in about 5 mins. We ordered the Large Beef/Pork Combo. Banchan: Thought the Banchan was alright. It's not as good as other KBBQ places out there BUT they give a massive variety. Way more than most places offer. They also have a few unique ones ones that I've never seen offered at kBBQ places like the steamed egg and Kim Chee Fried rice at the end which made me from full to almost exploding. I did wish the cheese was more melted on the corn and cheese side dish as well. Meats: The Brisket was by far my favorite cut of meat. It was super flavorful and tender being so thinly cut. The pork I felt was alright. Nothing really stood out but it wasn't bad. Kimchi tofu soup: Damn this was good! One of the best Kimchi tofu soups I've had. It wasn't too spicy or salty that a lot of places make. It was super flavorful and went so well with the meat. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Overall, this place is great and the amount of food that you get is super worth it. The service is nice however the lady working there did forget about the meat cooking on the grill a few times so I wasn't sure if she was coming back or not and had to move the meat to the side otherwise it would burn. I didn't feel that the meat quality was as good as other KBBQ places I've been to like BaekJeong but the value for how much food you get for the price was much more worth it here at Hanu. Also nothing beats free parking and reservations. I rather have a reservation and eat right away over waiting an hour.

Yelp
I stopped by Hanu Korean BBQ for lunch with friends after we saw the high reviews and overall we had a good lunch. There is dedicated parking right next to the restaurant building. The interior looked like a traditional Korean restaurant and was clean and spacious. The service was good but there was a language barrier as most of the servers didn't seem to speak English comfortably. As a group, we shared the Large Beef Combo and it was more than enough food for 3 adults! There was a variety of side dishes, which seems to be subject to change according to their website, such as assorted pan-fried battered jeon, corn cheese, soybean paste stew, steamed egg, etc. The sides were all delicious but can be new to someone who doesn't normally eat Korean food. The beef cuts were just okay compared to other KBBQs I've been to and some things were a little disappointing like the short rib patties. I was a little disappointed we didn't get the beef tartare and spicy braised short ribs. We didn't realize that the Large Combo on the website menu was different from their actual menu so be aware of changes! Overall, Hanu is a good place if you want the full Korean BBQ experience with a lot of extra side dishes. If you're focused on meat quality and variety, this place might not be a good fit for what you're looking for.

Yelp
My new favorite KBBQ place! Things that can't be beat-- 1. A parking lot 2. Reservations 3. Attentive service (granted we went early on a Friday 5:30pm) 4. Plenty of food with the combos - extra sides are provided in addition to the banchan I don't mind that it's not AYCE because the quality of the meat is top notch, and you really won't go hungry if you order the combos. Which, btw, are definitely the way to go if you aren't super particular. It will be cheaper than a la carte. It's a different vibe than your regular kbbq spot. The servers cook the food for you, and you don't smell like a smokehouse afterward (sometimes I like the smell but not always).

Yelp
Hanu was absolutely delicious!!! From someone who had Cote in NY, I would say that is a little similar, but not the same. My friends and I had a combo that consisted of beef brisket, ribeye, pork jowl, and pork belly. The best cuts were honestly the beef brisket, ribeye, and pork jowl. I was not a fan of their pork belly as it lacked flavor and was a bit too chewy.. The sides and ban chan here is phenomenal, but my favorite was their corn cheese! It tasted much different from other places that I have been to. It was very sweet and almost candy like. Similar to baekjeong and other non all you can eat places, the service is great as the server cooks for you. My friends and I came on a Sunday night during dinner and we were able to be seated right away! The interior is clean and they even have a robot to bring stuff to your table which I found awesome.

Yelp
The food, the service, the customer service is the best here! Much better than going to an all you can eat spot, the quality is extremely good!! 10/10 recommend! Nina and Alex was amazing and so helpful when we ate!

Yelp
In my opinion, Korean food in Los Angeles is superior to Korean food in Seoul. If you are new to Korean barbecue or are looking for a good Korean barbecue restaurant, this is a must-try. Choose a combo from their menu to get a sense of what they have to offer, and then order your favorites a la carte next time. However, combos are probably the most popular option -- get a few meats and side dishes, and Ban Chan is free with refills. We had a very good experience with friends, the interior is clean and spacious, and the staff is friendly and responsive.

Yelp
Such a nice ambiance in this KBBQ - not smoky at all and servers make sure to really help make your food. Great proportions - never leave hungry. My fav KBBQ spot! Highly recommend for a birthday party - as you get a complimentary bottle of Champaign
