"Hot pot restaurants are having a moment in Chinatown. Looking for meat-heavy Mongolian hot pot? Don’t look any further than Happy Lamb, where a large selection of lamb and beef cuts are offered alongside vegetables, mushrooms, and different styles of broths. There’s also the Q, a Chinatown classic that serves a mix of Japanese and Chinese dishes, as well as Mongolian-style hot pot." - Valerie Li Stack, Eater Staff

The lawsuit was settled, though the details remain confidential. The alleged abuses occurred at the Central Square, Cambridge, and Chinatown, Boston, locations." - Terrence Doyle

"Little Sheep is a hot pot place in Chinatown. It’s fun to sit around a bubbling pot of hot broth, and cook all sorts of sides inside of it. The meat servings are huge, so bring a lot people if you’re hoping to mix and match. Whether you like hot pot because you enjoy pretending you’re a Bond villain slowly lowering his enemies into a deadly vat of acid, or you just like broth-soaked quail eggs, Little Sheep is a place you should check out." - Dan Secatore

Had a fantastic time at Happy Lamb! The weekend dinner price is $35 per person (including taxes), but it’s more affordable on weekdays and even lower for lunch. Totally worth it for the experience! The staff is incredible! super attentive, quick, and courteous. They’re always on their toes, making sure everything runs smoothly. The food options are endless! From fresh meats and seafood to a variety of veggies, noodles, and more, there’s something for everyone. The broth selection is impressive, with plenty of choices for both meat lovers and vegetarians. It’s an all-you-can-eat experience for 90 minutes, so come hungry!!

Google
One of the best places in Boston to try hotpot. They have multiple tiers of all you can eat. We got the basic tier with two broths, tomato and spicy. For meats we had 2 portions of each, beef, garlic beef, pork and lamb. The meats are all you can eat as well which is not very common. The rest of the mushrooms, veggies, noodles and more are self serve. There is always some noodles and rice plus a fun selection of drinks. The place is not too big and prevents decision paralysis on what you should try. The shrimp paste and tofu skins att my favorite. Always try to join the waitlist when you are on your way. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. A must visit if you love hotpot.

Google
Had a great experience at Happy Lamb Hot Pot in Boston! We went with the half spicy, half regular broth, perfect balance of flavor and heat. Tons of fresh options to choose from.. Everything was fresh and tasty, and the whole cooking-at-the-table experience was really fun. Highly recommend!

Google
This was a great deal for fresh all you can eat hot pot! We tried it on a whim while trying to get out of the cold in Chinatown. The lunch special was under $25 and included a small variety of meats and broth(s) of your choice. Then all the vegetables, noodles, add ins, condiments, and even drinks are self-serve and included in the price. I greatly preferred doing it this way rather than needing to flag down a server for refills or to order more food. I also loved the setup of the “buffet” for ingredients. It was more like shopping in a produce section of a store rather than digging stuff out of a row of pans. Everything stayed separate and tidy even though the restaurant was pretty full while we were there. They also had a variety of free vegetarian proteins so I think the price would be justified even if someone did not want to eat the included meats. We ordered three meats and the half and half (reg/spicy)broth. Split between the two of us it was more than enough, so we didn’t need service at all once we started, but the waiter who set us up was very nice and our bill arrived promptly when we were finished. Highly recommend. Especially for the lunch time price.

Google
The all you can eat option is great, went in a group of 5 but the waiter gave us a really small table meant for four people when there’s other open tables available. And somehow they were not answering calls so we were unable to make reservations. But you can pick and choose the veggies and the fish balls and there’s also free drinks like tea and juice if you do AYCE!

Google
This place was very cozy and had really delicious food. Would recommend but be aware that they usually have a bit of a wait during lunch and dinner times. The portions are very large so be aware. All in all the food is good and they have a good selection of meats, veggies and other food.

Google
Happy Lamb Hot Pot is a great spot. They offer a ton of choices, and everything is fresh. The broths are packed with flavor and really stand out. It’s a busy place—there was a line around the corner even in the cold! The staff are friendly and quick, which makes the experience even better. It was fairly priced. Definitely worth the wait.

Google
HUGE array of fresh vegetables , tofu, rice balls, sauces, etc ALL replenished constantly. Our server brought us as much chicken and broth as we could eat and the vegetable and spice options were ENDLESS. Soft drinks and desserts are also included - bonus!! Happy Lamb is truly a hidden gem in the heart of Chinatown - not fancy, just delicious and wonderful! Loved it and will definitely return.

Yelp
Always good experience with happy lamb. Haven't been in a while to any locations but tonight was the night as the lady and others haven't tried yet. Yes, come here, eat. AYCE at a reasonable price. lamb, hand cut thin beef, garlic marinated beef and spicy marinated beef, that's all we needed. Easy to order, all sides veggies sodas and extra's are on the wall and included in your meal. We opted for the tomato broth, good flavor well balanced. I enjoyed the space, the staff was very attentive and they seem to have their system down. As many of the items you'd ask for like drinks, veggies, sauce station, and some of the seafood items are on the serve yourself walls. We had 3-4 servers checking in on us regularly, grabbing more meats, clearing plates etc. the wait can be really long at times, scan QR code and join the waitlist. Our wait today was 10-15min but we had party of 3 with an earlier timed dinner. It gets to 2 hour waits at times especially during dinner rush/ weekends. For the cost $32 roughly had all that my party wanted they do have VIP package with more meats like beef tongue and premium lamb cuts but for us that wasn't needed. Def enjoyed this spot and will be back again, chinatown parking is always a gamble but we lucked out with finding a spot by Tyler street and walking over, witnessed an accident (parking related haha) and the booming atmosphere of Chinatown is nice to see again. It was very bleak in the rona era, but seems like life is back and thriving!

Yelp
I don't know why it took me so long to come try Happy Lamb Hot Pot, but I'm so glad I did today! We were actually planning to try yesterday. We drove around looking for parking & saw how packed they were + line looked atrocious haha. Decided to try again today. Wait was not too long, ~15-20 min at 5pm Saturday. Pricing: AYCE price varies, depending on the day you go. For Mon-Thurs, it's $27.99/pp & Fri-Sun/Holidays, it's $31.99/pp. Also, they have a VIP menu, which offers a few different meats from their regular AYCE ($35.99/pp Mon-Thurs, $38.99/pp Fri-Sun/Holidays). Happy Lamb has two other locations in MA, Cambridge & Allston. We opted for their regular AYCE menu & did the tomato broth soup base. They have 5 different base options here: Original Marrow, Spicy Marrow, Tomato, Golden Cabbage Marrow, & Curry (upon request). All broths are a combo of chicken + beef bone base. Fountain drinks are free with the AYCE meal, and can get as many refills as you'd like! Meats we ordered: Lamb, hand sliced beef, marinated beef, & marinated spicy beef. I really enjoyed their veggie selection; also where you can find the seafood they offer (shrimp, fish paste, white fish, mussels). A couple things I liked about dining here: relatively clean! Service is great, 3 of the workers kept checking in on us to make sure we had everything we needed & asked often if we wanted to order more meats. Liked that it was DIY, like the drinks. All the meats & veggies tasted fresh + broth was flavorful. Would totally come back again 10/10!

Yelp
The reason I give this place a 5 stars is because of the exceptional service we received from our waiter, Liam. He was attentive and polite. Most restaurants in China town are solely dedicated their focus on the quality of food. Good service is not expected and rarely received. Also can you find a GOOD all-you-can eat hot pot dinner for $31.79 per person on a holiday?! I believe it is only $27.79 on a weekday. The price is including soda and ice tea. They have a wide variety of standard hot pot items like fish ball, meat balls, bean curd, various noodles and vegetables. Many usual hot pot items could be found. First, your waitstaff will take your order of broth/soup and you can also place your order of meats with them. Then you are free to go to the buffet areas. Just be mindful of their 90 minutes time limit. I will definitely go back there soon. Highly recommend it.

Yelp
Happy lamb is one of my fav hotpot in boston, despite it being AYCE. The special promo Price is so worth it at $27.99, Mon-Thurs $31.99 fri-sun. You get to choose broth of choice and meat of choice then everything else you go up and grab whatever and as many plates as you want. Bonus is the drink and sauce station. Always unlimited! My go-to menu includes: - Original Bone marrow broth - Beef Short Plate - Korobuta Pork - Mushroom Medley - Vegetables: Napa, Watercress, Corn, Daikon, Spinach, BokChoy - Seafood: Shrimp, Shrimp paste, fishballs, sliced fish - Others: Taro, Silk Tofu, Tofu Puffs, Bean Curd Rolls Sauce: satay sauce, sesame oil, garlic, cilantro, scallions, soy sauce

Yelp
Our go-to Hot Pot spot in Chinatown! While it isn't the absolute highest quality ingredients, it's certainly passable. All the broths have good flavor, my personally favorite is the tomato broth, but the spicy broth is also fantastic! It's a great place especially for the price! - The marinated beef is great, the buffet is extensive and provides a lot of veggies, noodles, and extra options! Again, don't expect world class ingredients as it's a AYCE hot pot, but they certainly get the job done and are much better than other Chinatown hot pot AYCE quality. - The ambiance isn't super different than what you'd expect from other hot pot places, but does have more of a KBBQ feel to it! - The service every time we go is always good, not over the top or going the extra mile, but definitely attentive and helpful. TL:DR: It's the best AYCE hot pot in Chinatown, the food is good but not incredible. It's a good bang for your buck if you're looking to eat a lot of good hot pot

Adina S.

Yelp
I absolutely love Happy Lamb! I'd been to the Cambridge location a few times, but this was my first time going to the one in Chinatown. It just so happened that we went during Chinese New Year celebrations, which made it even more fun. I came in a group of 5 on a weekend for a late lunch and there was a bit of a wait. Be sure to check in ahead online. I love all the options here, from the meats brought to your table, to the vegetable/noodle selection at the buffet, to the sauce bar. Everything tasted pretty fresh and you can keep going back for more. My only complaint is the broths tend to be very salty, especially with the addition of sauces. Nevertheless, one of the best places to go if you're hungry for a big meal!

Maddie V.

Yelp
This is one of my go to places for hot pot in Chinatown. For AYCE at 32$ on weekends and 28$ on weekdays it's so worth it. This place is always packed so expect to wait a bit if you show up on a weekend. For the broth I like to get the spicy marrow broth and the tomato broth. You can't go wrong with any of the meat selections especially at the AYCE price. The veggies and seafood are all self service out of a refrigerator section on one side of the restaurant which makes getting what you want easy. Overall the good prices and decent service will keep me coming back whenever I'm craving hot pot.

Aditi D.

Yelp
We came here after watching the winter experience ballet at the Boston opera house. Happy lamb hot pot is located steps from the Chinatown T stop on the orange line. We ordered the ayce 'best of both worlds' broth which is a divided pot with half original broth and half spicy broth. Additionally, we got chicken slices, bak choy, watercress, mushrooms, fish balls (my favorite!), ramen, salmon fish balls and rice cakes. The service is quick but sometimes the wait can be a bit long since they don't take reservations. But the wait is worth it!

Malina N.

Yelp
$32 AYCE on weekends & $28 on weekdays is such a STEAL especially when you have an unlimited selection of buffet-style vegetables, mushrooms, seafood, sauce bar, desserts (sliced fruits), and drinks We ordered a pot of half tomato and half original bone marrow broth (both are so good) , as well as a ton (AYCE) marbled lamb and hand sliced beef short plates we loved their mango green tea and unsweetened green tea as well We visited the Happy Lamb location in Boston's Chinatown and by joining the online waitlist, we didn't have to wait any longer than 15 minutes for a table! Happy Lamb's defintely one of my recommended spots for AYCE hot pot‼

Michele M.

Yelp
They changed it to all you can eat now! Right now, they have special pricing for 32$ on weekends for AYCE, sauce bar and all you can drink fountain drink. There's usually a wait since it's the winter so definitely put your name on the waitlist early. The place is hustle and bustle and every table is filled. It's loud with chatter and a lot of college kids on the weekends. I've had the AYCE happy lamb in cambridge and this one was so much better. They had more options like watercress, shrimp paste, etc. and the food overall tasted much fresher. The sauce bar is amazing. Their garlic is so fragrant and pairs perfect with every bite of meat. The soup always hits and warms the soul on a cold day. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
Both food and service are good here Favorite is beef hot pot Here is Better than Liuyishou

Yelp
On this rainy Saturday noon, I decided to get hot pot at Happy Lamb. At 12:30pm, I received seating immediately for a party of 2; the establishment seemed less than half full. Since my last visit, the menu had gone from all-you-can-eat (AYCE) promotions to a-la-carte, and now to AYCE only. It costs $27.99 M-Th and $31.99 Fri-Sun for the base offering (per person), with an upcharge to include some additional meats. The base selection of meats includes beef, lamb, pork, chicken, marinated beef, and one other marinated meat I can't remember. These you need to request from servers. The marinated beef came in noticeably smaller quantities than others, but I could easily remedy that given the adequate amount of wait staff. Other items sit in refrigerated shelves for self service. These include green vegetables (napa cabbage, spinach, watercress, + something else), tofu (frozen tofu, fried tofu, soy strips, tofu knots, tofu skin), noodles (instant, udon, vermicelli, normal), seafood (shrimp, fish fillets, mussels, calamari rings, shrimp paste), mushrooms, and miscellaneous other items. I received better service than expected (aka bare-bones). The wait staff checked in multiple times, topped up broth proactively and promptly, and offered me some napkins upon entry having noticed my drenched and umbrella-less state.

Yelp
My fiancé and I were starving as we strolled around Chinatown, so we decided to hit all you can eat at Happy Lamb! The original bone broth is my favorite broth ever. We tried the Sour and Spicy broth, and it tastes like Tom yum. We ordered the most basic tier option for all you can eat. The pork slices were not that good, it felt very thin. Maybe it is good if you're opting to eat less fatty foods. We liked the fatty beef the most. Other than the meat, there were additional options from the buffet style shelves they have. I don't have a photo, but it was convenient instead of ordering through the server all the time. The food option that was astoundingly terrible was the pork intestines. Not sure what I was expecting, but it has a certain aroma to it--I don't think it has to do with the restaurant but more of my taste. I actually smelt it after cooking it for a good bit, and just threw it to the side. Maybe a slight bite and release, LOL! I would recommend not eating that, haha. The service was great. The food was constantly restocked. The servers/employees were very kind and professional. The ambiance overall was styled nicely. The tables were placed so we wouldn't have to go through a sea of tables to get to the buffet area, which I really liked. It was ~60$ for both of us for AYCE dinner on a Wednesday. We would 100% come back. :)

Jimmy N.

Yelp
Out of all their locations, honestly, I think Chinatown location have them all beat lol Like most of their locations, theres a few stations including a sauce station. I love the options that they have at the Chinatown location. Especially one being the New Zealand green mussels. Sometimes they do have bean curd rolls but the day I went, unfortunately they didn't have it out . I love Happy Lambs broth so much. Most AYCE places, their broth is very bland. I highly recommend going to Happy Lamb! TIP - MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY, it's $28. FRIDAY TO SUNDAY IS $30+ .

Kimberly L.

Yelp
Love this place. The first time I ate here I fell in love so much I came at least 3 more times in the next two weeks. It's such a good deal! The environment is great and the service is quick! My favorite is the garlic beef and the Enoki mushrooms with the best of both worlds broths. 1000/10!

Gloria H.

Yelp
We came here as a party of 5 around 6pm on a Saturday and were lucky to get seated right away (albeit right next to the door, where we were blasted with cold air every time someone came in -- would not recommend!). I've really enjoyed my experiences at Happy Lamb Cambridge AYCE, so I was looking forward to seeing how the Chinatown location compared. To my relief, this location was well-stocked with my favorites -- shrimp paste, fish fillet, and tofu skin. They also had peach green tea, which was the perfect pairing with the food. We enjoyed many orders of the fatty beef and pork. There weren't many differences with the Cambridge location, though I would say that the broth seemed saltier than I'm used to. It didn't ruin the experience, but I would've preferred a less salty broth. I also didn't realize that holiday pricing included days that were not literal holidays -- we came on Thursday December 28th, which I thought was solidly in the weekday category. We ended up paying the holiday price, which ended up being around $40 per person after tax and tip. The service was good and the ingredients were fresh. It also has more seating than the Cambridge location, but despite all of the other hotpot restaurants surrounding it, this location was very busy. In terms of broth and avoiding cold air blasts, I prefer the Cambridge location, but otherwise the two locations are quite similar.

Sugandha K.

Yelp
i went here for the first time and this will be my go-to hot pot spot moving forward! we got the golden cabbage marrow broth and mushroom broth (vegetarian option), and both tasted incredible. they have an all you can eat menu for all of the food items you would put into your hot pot, the fountain drinks, sauces, and rice items. for the all you can eat menu, you go pick out the items yourself. you do have to pay for any meat items, which you would order directly from your server. this was a such a fun hot pot experience. they have a large selection of items for the all you can eat menu and i was so excited to try everything out. i was fully satisfied with the food and experience. the staff were also super friendly and checked in on us regularly. i will def be back and i would highly recommend you get out happy lamb for hot pot!

Vincent Y.

Yelp
I learned that this place changed its format to AYCE and that was unexpected. After adjusting to the new format, the ambiance was more casual verses the more elegant ambiance they had before. The selection of veggies, fish balls, and other items were good. As it's now an AYCE, just prepare your appetite appropriately.

Trey T.

Yelp
UPDATE: I realized quail eggs and bean curd rolls are only served on a weekend. So if you want that, don't go on a weekday!

Lukas L.

Yelp
Very cool hot pot restaurant. Definitely one of the cleaner ones in the Boston area. Server was super helpful. The food came out perfect and was well portioned. I would say my only issue is that the restaurant is pretty hot inside so just as a reminder, take your sweater off. All in all nice little place to have a low-key night out with a loved one.

Carmen R.

Yelp
This was my second Hot pot experience, and it was great! The layout is set up in a way where the self serve veggie and noodle bar is not in the way of the people who are dining. For the price you definitely get a lot of bang for your buck. It's all you can eat from the protein menu they serve, we tried one of everything and were very happy. The servers also checked in to see if we needed any more proteins but we got more than our fill, very good service.

Brian J.

Yelp
Happy Lamb is a solid spot for hot pot in Boston. The meat selections, like lamb and beef, are fresh and tasty. I really liked the spicy and mushroom broths. Make sure to try different sauces from the sauce bar. The staff is friendly and the service is good. It's a bit pricey, around $30-$50 per person, but the quality makes it worth it.

Francisca W.

Yelp
Looking at photos here from almost a year ago, it does seem they have changed the way food is presented (also pricing management), as well as some change in variety. That said, the overall experience exceeds expectations. Being one who is wary of going out for hotpot due to general low value for price (as opposed to preparing it at home), Happy Lamb was on par to make me a satisfied customer. The food variety (while slightly different than in the past) is sufficient: - 5+ soup bases - 5+ meat (beef, lamb, pork, chicken) - 4+ seafood (shrimp, mussels, fish filet) - 5ish greens + 10ish other veggies from tofu, bamboo shoot, Asian pumpkin, and seaweed knots - 3-5 noodle types - 10+ meat/fish balls + offal (ex. beef tendon, pork intestine) - 8+ sauces & fixings - 8+ cooked food (rice, spring rolls) / cold dishes (kimchi, cucumber) - 4 drink options (water + green teas) With that, staff are seen everywhere, from replenish food and cleaning counters, to cooking certain items for patrons (special request, perhaps?). They are busy but not rude; even asked if we wanted more meat instead of hiding and hoping we'd forget. Everything is of decent quality. Even the soup bases aren't MSG-laden like many other places, and the flavors do come through the boiled meat. I'd appreciate that a lot. Best part: EVERYTHING is included in the one AYCE price. No sketchy gimmick of selling a low price only to slap on add-ons for soup bases and sauces, like some places I've been. Service (as mentioned above) is great, all things considered. The place is clean, and on day of visit, it got filled up but wasn't so crowded that it became uncomfortable or resulting in long lines at the food area. Promotion rate going on (Mon-Thur vs Fri-Sun) until further notice.

Steven K.

Yelp
How is it that no matter where I go around the world, happy lamb is the number one spot in my heart? They recently changed it to all you can eat but the quality remains the same. Confirmed that the meats are still the same high quality cut and the broths are still made to perfection.

Jessa M.

Yelp
For $32 AYCE on the weekend this is great value considering the wide variety of options. I was surprised to see many seafood options available as someone who does not eat a lot of red meat. Fountain drinks are free and there are also some non-hotpot foods such as fried rice, crab rangoon, and fruit available in the self-service area. Service was quick and friendly! Be aware of the 90min time limit and don't spend too much time talking as the server may bring out your check and turn down your stovetop as a signal to leave. Would definitely come back again

Byanca Y.

Yelp
We went on a Sunday and there was no wait so we were seated immediately. The restaurant is smaller in size but there's a lot. Everything was buffet style like the drinks, rice, vegetables, noodles, fish balls, and basically everything for hot pot except the sliced meats. There's also a small sauce bar which was good bc I love making my own sauce. The only downside is that the waiter never came by, which was kind of annoying so I would have to get up and ask for more meats if we needed/wanted more. Also they did not refill the pot so towards the end it became super super salty that we couldn't eat anymore. We were there for an hour but overall first experience wasn't too bad

Anthony P.

Yelp
If you follow me! You know I love me some hotpot!!! I was in Boston for work and my hotel was in Chinatown. So we found the nearest spot and chowed down with one of my coworkers! Happy Lamb hit the spot! We had the half and half broth, which was delicious! The spicy broth is pretty spicy, so beware. I will definitely come back! The service was great and we came on night that had special pricing! All you can eat! Place was packed! We had to wait a little bit for a table but worth it. Yum!

Justin L.

Yelp
Came here for a second time and I would say it still slaps! Happy lamb had a great all you can eat option where you get a couple of appetizers , veggies , meat and seafood at a great quality. They also have a sauce bar and the broth is included. The price is fair and this place gets really busy! I suggest joining in the waitlist before you arrive by looking it up on Google. My friends and I party of 3 waited an hour on a Sunday night. Overall, if I lived in Boston I would come here everyday!

Kelly Z.

Yelp
Double the size of a regular portion!!! I am amazed at their prices and their portions! I got spring lamb, angus beef, and porkbelly and each was $10-$14 per plate !! Look at how much they give in one plate! I'm so excited and the quality was so fresh and tender. The tiger shrimp was okay, we got 2 portions so it was 4 shrimps for $8 and it wasn't worth it for me because the shrimp was tiny. Overall, the meats were the star of the show but everything else was meh. Sauce bar was limited and they have satay sauce instead of sa cha sauce so we were not a fan. The menu says the meats are meant to be eaten without needing sauce but I don't think so.

Quyen V.

Yelp
I highly recommend going here during the AYCE promotion. Their soup was amazing as well as the meat. The spicy broth was at a perfect level and well seasoned. Not to mention you could pick your own veggies and sides. ALSO, they have fruity tea for you to drink. The service as normal and the food is brought out fast. As for the vibes, it is perfect for everyone. It is a chill and relaxing place.

Ellie C.

Yelp
I wish that I could give this place a better review, because the food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the spicy broth and tomato broth -- I was especially impressed by the spicy broth due to its depth of flavor and the fact that it was spicy but not unbearable. The veggies and tofu were great, and we were having a ton of fun planning out our all-you-can-eat order. We finished all of our plates at 8:30 and filled our next order sheet. No one checked on us until 9, despite seeing servers checking up on nearby tables. When I flagged down the waitress, I asked her to take our order sheet because we'd like to order some more. She took it and then avoided eye contact for the next 30 minutes. Our waters were empty and the broth was evaporated! A different waiter brought us the check at 9:30 and we left without ever receiving our second round of food. Overall, the food is great but the service was terrible. I don't think we got our money's worth since we never received our second order. Very disappointed.

Gloria M.

Yelp
Came on a rainy day so it was pretty empty. The service was fast and was explained to us well. We got the AU marbled lamb which was my favorite along with the garlic beef which was chewy. The vegetables were all fresh and tasty, we got enoki and oyster mushrooms, bok boy and corn in the half and half broth. Not all you can eat like I expected

Katelyn P.

Yelp
Happiness in a pot, lemme tell ya. It can get pretty busy, but you can get on a waitlist, leave your phone number, and they'll text you when your table is ready. Easy enough to just stop at a local coffee or boba shop to kill some time if you're not from the area. Don't expect to find any parking in the area unless you plan on waiting or paying through the nose for a garage. It's close to a bunch of T stops, so I'd say it's very accessible. We always get the "best of both worlds" since the sichuan style broth is suuuuper spicy in the best way possible. But the house broth is the perfect relief when your mouth starts to overheat and maybe even go a little numb. They have a great selection of meat and veggies, and the portions are generous. The service is quick and they clear empty plates quickly. I know some people complain bc they don't have sauces readily available, but I always say if the broth is made well, you shouldn't even need sauce. On a cold winter night, you can't miss those steamy windows tempting you to warm up with a nice pot of soup. Quality food with quality service, I'd say this is one of the better hot pot options right in Chinatown.

Yelp
Had a solid experience at Happy Lamb last night! Arrived around 7:15, scanned the QR code to get on the waitlist, and probably waited 10-15 minutes for a table for my party of 4. We got the Best of Both Worlds spicy / original broth combo. I loveeeeed the spicy broth and would definitely get that again, although it's pretty hot so not for everyone! I enjoyed that I could pick out the veggies and tofu that I wanted, and the sauce bar options were great. Loved that everything was clearly labeled so I knew what I was trying. The meat was all you can eat, but the team seemed a bit understaffed and it took a long time to get more or even just waters when we ordered another round. Overall enjoyed my meal, and would try again!

Yelp
I go to Happy Lamb pretty often but I haven't been here since they became exclusively AYCE. They changed the layout of the restaurant and now have serve yourself area for vegetables, seafood, drinks, and noodles. Gerson is usually there and he's the best waiter. He's attentive, kind, and a pleasure to be around. I swear when I was there he was the only server but he didn't sweat it. Love Happy Lamb but Gerson's hospitality is the best of it all. FYI: you cannot to go your leftovers since it's AYCE now. I didn't realize it but it makes sense, they don't want people taking advantage.

Yelp
Pretty standard spot for hot pot. There's a decent selection of meat, seafood, veggies, and broth. The cost does add up, but it's pretty worth it for the amount of food. Their green teas are super yummy! Overall a great spot to enjoy a hearty meal with friends, nothing out of this world though.

Yelp
I've been to Happy Lamb before they had an AYCE option but it was a game changer once they introduced AYCE for both meat and veggies. It does get busy so I recommend joining the waitlist because you can potentially wait a long time for a table. The quality stayed the same but they had added more options to the AYCE menu. I love how you can grab your own veggies and noodles as well as having a sauce bar. I do wish the sauce had a few more options but I usually make a simple sauce anyways. I do recommend trying their teas that they have on tap as well. This is our new spot for AYCE hotpot in the Boston area.

Yelp
This place is So right off the bat when you walk boom it hits you. Just the pure smell of the flavor profiles and spices penetrate your senses as you wait to be seated. (Which took all of 5 mins) After being seated we reviewed the menu, was very impressed with the selection that was offered. It's not buffet style so keep that in mind, but the quality of the meat was phenomenal. I went with a partner and we got the best of Both worlds. With it being cold in Boston we got the tomatoes & Golden Cabbage broth. Holy shit. What a combo. We will start with the Golden Cabbage broth. Perfect if you like flavor, spice, heat. It's very light but it's oh so good. But do not sleep on the tomato broth. I was drink this broth from the bowl like a kid it was so damn good. Surprisingly this broth has no spice or kick too it. But its full of flavor. With it being cold outside the tomato was liking getting a nice warm hug. Very comforting compared to the Golden Cabbage We ended up ordering several platters veggie platter, meatball platter, seafood platter. I will apologize to the staff because they close at 9:30 and we got there maybe 15 mins before close. They were super accommodating and didn't rush us out the door.

Yelp
If you guys don't want your customers to use two coupons per table, then just put the restrictions on your coupons or flyers. We spent $100+ today but were told that we were only allowed to use one $25 coupon... that's a totally different story compared with the answer we got before ordering. The staff told us we could use one $25 coupon for each $50, excluding alcohol, taxes, and tips. So we did 2 VIP choose all-you-can-eat and order additions from the bottom of the menu, which followed the rules on the coupon. However, when we wanted to use the coupon at checkout, the staff said additions were also excluded. This makes me feel sick, and I will never return to this restaurant again.

Yelp
i went with a group of 12 and made a reservation ahead of time. it gets pretty busy on the weekends, especially for dinner. we ordered beef, lamb, enoki, seaweed knots, fish tofu and lots more. the food was reasonably priced and service was quick. you have to pay an extra $2 for their sauce bar, which they recommend not getting because they think their broth is very good. their broth is decent, but nothing special. overall rating: 9/10

Yelp
Love that they went buffet style with the veggies, noodles and sides. Always a busy place and no alcohol so they turn tables fast.

Yelp
Great hot pot place in Boston. Small location but packed with flavor! Will be back again

Yelp
Went for AYCE dinner on a Friday and despite the long line, we were seated pretty quickly. The beef and lamb came out fresh and the self serve bar had a good selection of fishballs, veggies, noodles and shrimp paste! The place can get pretty busy and crowded inside as tables are seated around the self serve bar in the middle. Not the best Happy Lamb experience but great value and good service when putting in orders for meats. Note that your clothes will smell like spices and herbs after eating.

Yelp
The food is pretty decent, nothing stands out to me much. They give you good portion of meat. Also, they have like a buffet section where you can make your own sauce, get your side dishes, etc. The service was great. We had like three different people came and checked up on us. They explained the menu very throughly for a first-timer like myself. But overall, this place hits the spot on a chill/cold night. I do recommend to arrive early because it was pretty packed during night time.

Yelp
This is my friends' go to place for hot pot in the Boston area. I definitely recommend the spicy marrow broth. We split the pot with spicy marrow broth and the extra spicy version. It is so rich in flavor. We definitely ordered way too much meat and veggies. So much that our server told us that we probably won't be able to finish and suggested that we remove 3 plates from our order. I'm happy he did, since we didn't finish what we ended up ordering (we did try everything though). Overall, this was a great hot pot experience.

Yelp
My bf and I came here based on recommendations from a local. We ordered the original marrow and spicy marrow to try both.. I loved the original marrow broth (chicken broth) more since you could really taste the quality of the broth. It tastes like they've been marinating in bones for at least a day and the flavor leaves such an impact! The ingredients are all a la cart so you're free to customize however you want. My favorite ingredients to pair with the original broth are: enoki mushrooms, king mushroom, corn, bok choi, noodles, with pork and beef. My favorite ingredients for the spicy marrow broth: nappa cabbage (really soaks in the flavor), king & enoki mushroom, corn, pork and beef. You can ask for dipping sauce for the meat but the broth is so good you really don't need it. The sauces are sesame paste, garlic and oil, and hot chili oil. The customer service was amazing. They were attentive to clean away empty plates swiftly and refilled our broths when they were getting low. They didn't rush us to leave either.

Yelp
Downtown Boston location has the worst service I have ever experienced. The $25 off coupon they handed out are just extremely misleading.

Yelp
My friends and I always go here. It's all you can eat for a fairly reasonable price. We always leave here stuffed. The place seems pretty clean and modernish, and the service is good.

Yelp
It's definitely one of the smaller locations, and we were lucky to be sat right away because it was not busy. I think this place has a lot less items in the other locations but the food was still just as good.
