We took advantage of the weekday £15.99 all-you-can-eat deal, which lets you order unlimited meat consisting of lamb, beef and venison, though you still have to pay for the broth, sides and sauces. The meat quality was pretty good, as there was some discernible flavour. We preferred the lamb and venison, while the beef was the blandest out of the three. Ultimately, though, the three meats were pretty similar in taste and if you cook them simultaneously, it will be difficult to differentiate them.
If you want to get the most out of your money, get your meat orders in sooner rather than later, as it takes a bit of time for them to bring the plates out.
The bone marrow chicken broth was incredibly tasty. We felt it unnecessary to use any dipping sauces, so save your money on those. However, the broth is seasoned with too much MSG, which made me feel slightly unwell (excessive MSG tends to do this to me). Aside from feeling like a clumsy sack of potatoes at the end, the meal was enjoyable.
The restaurant looks quite stylish for a hot pot establishment, offering a pleasant ambience. The women’s toilets are thoughtfully stocked with mouthwash and hair ties. As you leave, you can grab a mint or Biscoff biscuit as a sweet treat. Service was polite. Overall, a satisfying experience.
