Happy Lobster Review - Rainey Street - Austin - The Infatuation

"The food trailer parks are constantly changing on Rainey Street, but we’re pretty excited about Happy Lobster holding down a spot there on the weekends. You can get a seriously great lobster roll with spicy mayo and giardiniera peppers, and while lobster rolls tend to be filling, you’ll also want to save room for the fried lobster mac and cheese bites that taste as good as they sound." - Adele Hazan

I had happy lobster from the food truck. I see that the truck has a schedule and I’ve noticed the adds for different towns to pick up but this was my first time trying happy lobster at Sunday on state street in Chicago. I had the angry lobster sandwich and it was absolutely delicious. I always talk about one of the best lobsters rolls i had was in Boston but this one adds to my list as it is just as good. For the price it was a nice size and feeling. I’ve been checking the truck schedule every since waiting on them to be near my town definitely will eat from happy lobster truck over and over

The Happy Lobster is what I order’d I love how much respect was put into the lobster, it was sooo tender yet cool tasting paired with the sizzling hot(temperature ) n sweet brioche bun omg perfect balance. I received it from the FoodTruck during the StateStreet BlockClub party. They were sooo respectful kind and patient the lines were long and it was 90degrees plus but the food still came out fast and delicious loved it. I will be visiting the store lol or following that food truck lol

The lobster roll is served on a brioche bun slight toaster with a hint of butter and a touch of mayo. This allows the lobster to stand alone on its merit of texture and flavor. They give a decent helping of lobster too and I add some fries that are seasoned with old bay. The lobster roll 8.7 it was delicious again they didn't overdo it with topping to really enjoy the lobster flavor. The fries were good no issues here I definitely like the old bay seasoning on them. No combo here just added items as you like is my only knock on this place. Overall if in the area hit them up it's not a bad choice to go with them. 8.6.

I love lobster and in Chicagoland, I have tried plenty. Happy Lobster Truck beats the competition whether brick and mortar or on wheels. Unlike some of the others, you can taste how fresh the lobster is. The sandwich itself is well-balanced. And the value of how much you get for what you pay is unparalleled. You don’t get nickel and dime’d. More meat plus the slaw and chips are included in the sandwich price. And maybe best of all are the people. Ryan has been out in my direction with his stops for over a year and EVERY experience is excellent. He remembers who I am, how I like my sandwiches, and the meal is perfect without fail. Great people and great food make it easy for me to be a regular and recommend Happy Lobster Truck to family, friends, and coworkers. I truly appreciate Ryan and Happy Lobster Truck.

Generous amount of lobster for the price, served on a bun, not a roll. The Angry Lobster is delicious, with a small amount of spicy mayo so it doesn't overpower the lobster. This is not a NE-style lobster roll, so it isn't a "lobster salad" soaked in mayo. I'm not generally a fan of crinkle cut fries, but these were dropped fresh and were superior to most fries. I will definitely return!

Food was absolutely amazing and the team made it super easy to have my event catered. Neal was extremely kind and patient when delivering the food for our boat event when I had trouble locating him harbors! Would 100% use Happy Lobster again, plus the attendees are now wanting to go to Happy Lobster in person to get the food again :)

This is my number one lobster roll and I have had lobster rolls in Maine. We visit their food truck in Mokena and hope to catch up with it in other locations. Lines are long so get there early.
