Amazing introduction to American single Malt Whiskey I had no idea there were so many American Whiskeys. The ones I’ve depicted were our favorites after sampling about dozen. If you come between 5pm and 8pm a reservation is recommended. There is a lull between 8pm and 9:30pm and then it picks up again. Ideally get seats at the central bar.

A fun place with an excellent bourbon and whiskey selection. The bartender was excellent. I had the Derby Cocktail and it was delicious. It’s a classy place and not too loud so you can actually talk to your drinking partners. Also, warm chocolate chip cookies are a delicious addition to the experience.

The only nice thing to do here is take photographs: the whisky/whiskey flights (we had two) were awful, and the bar staff were unhelpful and unfriendly. Having researched date nights in San Francisco, we saw this place recommended by Time Out: having followed this recommendation, it is comfortably assumed that the recommendation's author is single. We introduced ourselves at the bar, explained we were excited to try American whiskey flights as we were from Scotland and Ireland and loved whisky. Giving intro information about ourselves to the bartender, we hoped we would get info and friendliness: WRONG. Bartender gave us the bare minimum info, which we had to correct him on ("em, the bottle says Washington, not Illinois?" "Oh yeh, I read the back wrong" "..."), before leaving the bar shortly after pouring our drinks. Neither he or his colleagues checked back on us, to discuss the whiskey or offer food. The other bartender (a young and friendly woman) was drinking with the cool and hip crowd beside us. She only spoke to us as we were paying for the bill. She apologised that a drunk patron had been harassing us during our drinks, which only confirmed that she saw this and decided not to assist us or make our stay more enjoyable. If you like romance, whisky/whiskey, or a bar with character, go elsewhere. The staff, the layout and the drinks are great for Instagram, and rubbish for everything else.

Great selection of American whiskies. Most pours are only one ounce so take that into account. I had the Nashville style fried chicken. Was pretty tasty. Would have rated a 4 if the service wasn't so pokey. At one point there were 11 people without drinks at the bar and 2 employees were doing nothing at the host station. Meh.

Love the staff and great selection. We got the craft flight. I highly recommend the tater tots! The chicken sandwich was alright, but everything else was delicious! Loved it. :)

It was a nice place to visit. I'm not sure if we will be back. It was a great place to grab some whiskey and have a conversation. They place wasn't that crowded, and the staff were very friendly and quick. We ordered a few flights of whiskey which were very nice and fun. We had some mixed drinks as well. Over all it was fun just not for us. They did have an amazing selection of whiskey, if you wanted to try something different this is the place to go!

This is one of my go-to places to grab drinks. Great for a date or just to grab drinks with friends after work. It's right on the water with some great views. The space is cool and the collection of whiskies is impressive... As are the whisky-based cocktails. The food options are pretty decent as well if you need a bite. Come early or make a reservation because it gets crowded.

I was very excited to try this place out. I’m a big whiskey junky and this was supposed to be heaven. Location and atmosphere are great. No complaints. Offerings are obviously fantastic. Whiskey menu is detailed and excellent. As far as food we ordered a meat and cheese plate. It was decent, nothing to brag about. Only reason for the 3 stars was staff. Place was busy and they seemed short staffed. Service was hard to get and as a result we only got 2 drinks and left. Additionally the guy at the door sat us in a corner which was very annoying. They had open seats at the bar, but those were reserved for bartenders friends. Ok when we asked if we could move towards the window we just got a look and then they moved us. This took away from the overall experience.
