The Best Chinese Food in Nashville | Eater Nashville

"Although this street food chain’s menu veers toward Asian fusion, you’ll find solid renditions of Chinese BBQ pork bao, five-spice sticky ribs, chili crisp won tons, duck fried rice, and lo mein in its East Nashville location. On nice days, grab a seat on the turf-covered patio, or grab a spot at the bar to watch the action in the vibrant dining room with a pandan Old-Fashioned or beer to keep you company." - Ellen Fort

We’re visiting from Wisconsin and had a fantastic experience at the restaurant! The service was outstanding from start to finish. Mikel, our server, was especially great—friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful. He gave us some excellent recommendations on what to order, and every dish he suggested was absolutely delicious. It’s clear he knows the menu well and genuinely cares about providing a great experience. So glad we stopped in—we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!

Google
I always enjoy coming here to eat. I particularly enjoy their edamame, soup dumplings, and the wings. I feel like the prices are fair. The bartenders and servers are always quite friendly. It can get pretty busy here in the evenings and weekends so give totals plenty of time to wait. I normally just sit at the bar. I can’t wait to go back!

Google
I’ve been in the food industry for 30 years, so I tend to notice when a concept is at a crossroads. After trying four different dishes at Hawkers, every one of them landed around a “7 out of 10” in flavor instead of the bold “10” that makes a brand stand out. With 15 locations, it feels like the chain is at the stage where management either enforces stronger standards or risks slipping downhill. After adding extra spice myself, the food improved a lot — which tells me the recipes are good, but the kitchen execution is coming across as cautious and a bit mediocre. Hawkers has a great concept and atmosphere, but the flavors need to be turned back up to where they started if they want to keep impressing guests. Right now, it feels like the volume knob is set too low.

Google
First time going to Hawkers and it exceeded already high expectations! Tried three different items, all delicious and a reasonable price point. Both Rio and John were helpful and engaging.

This is the second time coming to Hawkers, Everytime is a great experience. The Food is awesome and the staff is amazing. From the GM Vic, to our server Whitley and Jo running the food out food to the table. They will keep us coming back! The drinks were amazing as well.

Google
I had this restaurant a while back while vacationing to Nashville for a concert. The staff is absolutely amazing and the atmosphere/decor is great! The wait time was around 30 minutes but I came during an extremely busy period around 7:30 pm. This was my first time trying asian style food so i have no reference of others, but it was amazing! I’m usually a picky eater but I enjoyed everything :) I would recommend this place if you want a nice atmosphere and good food!

Google
This is my FAVORITE restaurant in Nashville!!! It's consistently amazing service and food! Vic the GM and Reek were so great!!! They made our birthday girl and our group feel so special!!! Ginger was a fantastic server! I would ask for her again!! The food is ALWAYS DELICIOUS! Literally amazing! Go here!

Alex Sutedja

Google
The food here is legit! They're amazing. I had the curry laksa ramen and Korean twice fried wings and they were both bomb. I also asked for the spice rack and this is a must-have! There are 3 spices on there: fish sauce, bird Thai chili (I think) and chili crisps. Are these homemade?? I don't know. I couldn't ask the wait staff about it because service was slow even though it wasn't crowded. It was hard to get their attention since they all huddled together and faced away from the customers. However, I have to say, the service is very friendly when you could get their attention. So all good. I really enjoyed the meal here and the cocktail menu looked fantastic

Yelp
Delish food, great atmosphere and wonderful service by Anna Stephens!! Highly recommend if you are in the Nashville area !

Yelp
Food was fabulous, and our server Adam was so good! I had the Bibimbap, edamame, and my son had the duck Boa. My daughter has a disability and is picky. She wanted rice with butter and salt/peper. Adam brought it with a spoon and extra bowl, so she could put the cold butter on the bottom to melt. We eat Asian often and this was some of the best Asian food we've had and with excellent service.

Katelyn B.

Yelp
Awesome service from Jared today! Very attentive and kind. Food was amazing as always.

Yelp
Went in for lunch and the service and food were fantastic!! Best service we've had in Nashville in a long time. Nice to see chef was out in the dining room as well. Shrimp spring rolls - super thick peanut sauce. So fresh so good Soup dumplings - will be our go to every time Bulgogi Beef - delicious! I would love to order a bucket of the spicy pickles on the side. Loved the sauce on the side CKT noodles - these were so good. Making you want the next bite and the next bite... All split between 2 people. We left fulled to the gills.

Yelp
My husband and I were visiting Nashville. We had been eating bbq and wanted something different. We drove past this spot and based on the reviews and photos.. we were like.. ok cool, let's come here. I think the ambiance and service were fine, no complaints there. But I have the say the food was a mediocre at best. CKT Noodles: Lacks flavor Poutin Fries: Too salty Chicken Dumplings: didn't taste fresh, also food was cold. Too heavy on the soy sauce. Korean Chicken Baos: These were the best out of all of it. Roti: pretty good I think if you're from a small city like Nashville and any surrounding cities, this is acceptable to you. But if you're coming from places like, SoCal, Vegas, and NY. Sorry, you'll be disappointed.

Yelp
Me and my friend went here for lunch, it was 2ish, so place was not packed, our host was nice and friendly. He liked it when we raved how good some dishes are but when I told him iced coffee is not good I could see him rolling his face on us. Things we ordered Korean wings: definitely get it. Roti with curry: definitely get it. Egg roll: hmmm, it's your regular egg roll that you get in any Asian restaurant. Basil fried rice: below average Donut: I was so full so I dint taste, but my friend loved it. Vietnamese iced coffee: skip it. Ambiance: place looked bit dirty, but was okay I guess. Overall definitely try the place.

Yelp
Good choices of appetizers and entrees. Served hot out of the kitchen, so don't plan on all dishes being presented at the same time. The atmosphere was very relaxing and the service was quick and fast. So many choices and none were disappointing

Yelp
A cool and casual dining experience. We ordered numerous dishes but my favorites were the tofu bites, edamame, soup dumplings and the Singapore noodles. The food comes out when it's ready in no particular order that way the food is nice and hot. Our server was excellent. I would definitely come here again.

Yelp
We were eager to try Hawker's since we were in the mood for some good Asian street food. This place satisfied our craving for sure! We went rather late, and the way the restaurant looked at night was very aesthetically pleasing. They have many bright neon signs, and their color is amplified by the dimly lit interior. I was impressed to see a patio at the entrance which was dog friendly! Our waitress was friendly and explained the menu well. Apps/drinks: the front page of the menu had small plates, so we decided to get a few as appetizers. The kim chi was great! Crunchy and just the right amount of spicy. We got edamame as well (of course) which was covered in garlic and spicy sauce, it tasted heavenly! The porkbelly bao buns were my favorite, super soft and slightly sweet porkbelly topped with some crunchy nuts. Definitely try these. The chicken dumplings were nice as well, but they didn't wow me in any particular way. For our drinks, we stuck with water but tried some sake like we always do. I was impressed with the gold sake, it has a sweet taste reminiscent of banana and honey. Entrées: I decided to get a yaki soba plate to share with my bf and this was a hit for me as well! The udon noodles were thick, chewy and smothered in a sweet/spicy sauce. Don't let the spice rating on the menu intimidate you! I was able to eat this yaki soba without any issues. And when i'm saying that, you know its not that spicy. We left stuffed and very pleased with our experience. If we ever return to nashville, we will definitely be back! TL;DR: This place has many tapas-like small dishes so be mindful of this when you order. Great for trying a variety of different foods! Kim chi and bao buns are definitely worth a try, and don't forget about the edamame! If you aren't a lover of spicy food, don't worry! The dishes here are not overpowering.

Yelp
Went on a Friday and realized that they have food Happy Hour specials Monday through Thursdays. I will definitely be coming back to enjoy those specials. I sat inside near the bar. The bartender was our server and was very attentive. I got a mocktail that was really delicious -- Frui-Tea Fizz. Sweet, bubbly, and refreshing! The food comes out tapas style, so my best friend and I shared a few things. We ordered Roti Canai -- hot and fresh and comes with curry. I'm personally not a fan of curry (it was on the side), but the roti was 10/10. A must try! I didn't really enjoy the Spring Rolls. I expected them to be smaller and crispier. But I liked the accompanying sauce. They also offer Chicken Egg Rolls, so I'm curious of the difference between the two. I think there's so many other things worth trying on the menu. I would skip these. Moving on to my favorite part of the meal -- the Korean Twice Fried Wings! So much crispy, crunchy goodness! The sauce was tasty, the chicken was juicy, and the crunch was audible. Literally still dreaming of the wings as we speak. Not usually a fan of peanuts on food, but everything worked together for a satisfying bite! This is a good spot to take a group of friends or visiting relatives. Love the vibes and love the food!

Yelp
The hostess and waiters here are so kind! The customer service here is absolutely great! For appetizers I ordered roti canai and fried spring rolls, and chicken satay. I have to say the chicken satay was my favorite. The fried spring rolls flavors were way too salty for me and not enough umami flavors. The roti canai I had was okay - the bread was great but the curry part could have been more flavorful. I ordered the shrimp pad Thai which tasted good but honestly the pad Thai had this syrupy and gooey sauce that was smothered with the noodles. It just was just on the heavier side! Our waitress was super nice and took the pad Thai off the tab although I don't know if I'll be back.

Yelp
This place has a great atmosphere. Kinda hippy. Very welcoming. Our server was MIA when we need her. So that part wasn't the best. Now on to the food. Food was OK. The chicken egg roll feels like your generic frozen egg roll that you can get at any Chinese restaurant for much cheaper. The Korean wings were mediocre. I read someone's review oh it's a must try. It not def not a must try. It's not that great honestly. The wings and the Seoul bao's chicken is the same sauce. A bit sweet and hot but it was meh. The pork belly was a bit dry. The bao didn't seem fresh. The duck bao was good. The ckt noodles were yum! But overall. It's a bit pricy for mediocre food.

Yelp
We recently had a chance to check out Hawkers and were not disappointed! We surprisingly had not heard of the restaurant before, but, after reading the stellar reviews, we figured it was a must try! Located in East Nashville, Hawkers specializes in Asian street food. We came by on a weekday around 6pm and were surprised by how busy it was! The wait was approx 45 minutes, but we were seated a little sooner than that. Our server was amazing and very attentive to all of our needs. The indoor seating area had a very chill vibe, even with the restaurant being so busy. To start us off, we ordered the Roti Canai. It was delicious! The roti was perfectly made and the curry sauce had a savory taste with a kick of spice that I appreciated. We then shared the Pad Thai along with the Steak and Kimchi Fried Rice. The Pad Thai was solid. I, however, enjoyed the Steak and Kimchi Fried Rice much better. The kimchi, much like the curry sauce, had a kick to it that really complemented the whole dish well. Needless to say, we did not have much leftovers to take back home! Great experience overall!
google avatar

Maya D.

Yelp
A pretty good turnout! Great vibes, love the decor. The roti with the curry gravy was bomb. Could eat much more of that. Ribs were ok, nothing spectacular. Pork belly buns were good! Pork buns were a little too sweet but still decent. Basil shrimp fried rice had good flavor but lacked salt.

Yelp
I love Hawkers! Their edamame is so tasty and always seasoned to perfection. Yaki Udon is fantastic as always. I came here with a large group of 11 on a Saturday night and we only had to wait about an hour. The place is very large and service was stellar.

Yelp
Yum!!! Highly highly recommend if you need some good Asian food. Tried multiple things and everything was honestly so good, you really can't go wrong. Make a reservation or go early, it fills up.

Yelp
exploring East Nashville is now one of my new favorite things to do, with its vibrant atmosphere and endless places to eat and drink. I discover Hawkers Asian Street food while watching TikTok so I decided to make my way over. Despite it being a Thursday night, I did not to make reservations, and while there was a brief wait of around 20 minutes, the lively ambiance kept us entertained. I can only imagine that the weekends. Make your plans friends We killed time at the bar, sipping on their killer cocktails. My husband went for the Pandan Old Fashioned, and I went with the Lemongrass Mojito--both hits. Once we got our table, we went all out, ordering a bit of everything to share. The Chinese BBQ Pork baos and soup dumplings kicked things off perfectly. Then came the Pad Thai, nailing that sweet-savory combo, but the real MVP was the duck fried rice. Seriously, it was next-level delicious. The portions were spot-on for sharing, and we're already planning our next visit to try more from their menu. Hawkers Market is all about good vibes and even better food, making it a definite favorite in our book. Can't wait to go back for round two!

Yelp
Definitely recommend! We stopped on a drive thru the Memphis area. Get the roti - you won't regret it! My 12 yr old was trying to help me break it down so we can attempt to recreate it at home. My son had the duck fried rice, spouse had the Szechuan Dan Dan noodles, and I had the Singapore mei fun. All amazing! Parking is tough - the lot is very tiny and only one way in from the alley. The restaurant itself has a funky vibe and lots of color and art.

Yelp
Always a great stop with some delicious Asian food bites. We love the Bao Buns and dumplings. Came here for a birthday recently and they surprised us with dessert which was very good. If you get a noodle dish ask for the sauce plate as it makes it even better. Great service tonight from Marilyn. Thanks!

Yelp
We stopped for lunch on a road trip. We needed a place that would allow our dog to join the family. We sat on the patio and the server immediately brought waters and a bowl of water for our fur baby. We ordered several things to share and weren't disappointed. 1. Roti Canai to start. Holy crap this was SO good. Fluffy flatbread with a delicious dipping sauce. 2. Seoul Hot Chicken bao. Comes with 2 baos, and very tasty. 3. Shrimp summer roll. It was okay. Not a fan of the sweet peanut sauce, so we dipped it in the Roti Canai sauce instead. 4. Korean twice fried wings were fantastic! Super crispy and came with 5-6 nice sized wings. 5. Chicken satay. Tasty. Piping hot. Those take about 20 minutes so we were pretty full by the time those came out. 6. Bulgogi steak was phenomenal. Served with rice, dipping sauces and kimchi. The kimchi was some of the best I've had. Service was great. Inside of the restaurant was dope. Our pup got celebrity treatment (including a dog treat).

Yelp
Struggling to post this between a 3-4 star review.....but in my books it's more of a 3.5. I use to visit Orlando frequently and always wanted to try Hawkers. Whenever I moved to Nashville area, I was thrilled to find that there was a location here. I love the small plates concept, so you're able to order multiple things to try. The vibe here was pretty cool! The inside of the restaurant was really nice and hip! I love the decor, it's really not your typical Asian decor joint. They have large Jenga blocks in the waiting area for kids, adults/families to play while you wait to be seated. The bar is also right up front too. Now what everyone needs to know before they dine here is that whatever you order, it does not all come out at the same time. It will be at random times. which was fine with us. Now onto what we ordered. Lemongrass Mojito: BOMB.COM!!! GET IT!!! Super delicious! The BEST DRINK EVER!!!!! Coconut shrimp: it was just ok, the frying oil needed to be changed out, it was old... Soup Dumplings: I did not try, but my son has a good pallet for food and loves soup dumplings, so I will take his word for it that they were good ;) Seoul Hot Chicken: This was a banger! Super delicious! The combination was great! Sichuan Wontons: Huge disappointment. These were disgusting. Our server suggestion them and I did not care for them at all. I love peanut butter/peanut sauce in general, but these were basically just dumplings in peanut butter sauce.. The peanut sauce was too overpowering. There was no Sichuan flavor in this dish at all, just straight up peanut sauce. This is a no go for me. Duck Fried Rice: This was good! It was one of the best dishes we had at Hawkers, just lacked a little protein compared to rice. The flavors and combination of everything was just all there. Beef Haw Fun: With the little sampler that I tried, it was good, the beef was tender and not overcooked. The noodles were soft and cooked well. Singapore Mei Fun Noodles: I love a GOOD Singapore noodles, and this was good but with a little adjustments. This was wayyy too oily for my liking. The description says there's shrimp and chicken in the dish. I was really annoyed that I got 3 pieces of shrimp and 2 piece of chicken that were the size of a nickel...like common...you're better off ordering this at other Chinese restaurant's, you'll get a lot more. Overall, the place is a little pricey for the portions. They did not provide plates as if we were sharing/eating family style. I thought it was a bit strange. The spice tray was very interesting but none of the spices went with any of the entrees we ordered. Also, their chili oil was legit just oil, I was expecting actual chili too :(

Yelp
What a great place!! This is a must for your list, Nashville friends. The interior wails you to Bangkok, Kowloon, or some fabulous Singapore food hall. The service here is friendly, welcoming and efficient. Full bar with craft cocktails compliments the unique and authentic panoply of Asian street food offerings. You could truly just hang out in here all day and turn lunch into a full evening. Every menu item we sampled and shared at our table was excellent, with a beautiful presentation and seasoned to please the palate. Those Bao Buns are really something special. You will never find a more perfect perky Lil' set of buns, be it pork, chicken or duck.

Yelp
Great spot to have Dinner with Friends! Very accommodating to Food-Allergies! Favorite Dishes: Korean Twice Fried Wings, Five-Spice Green Beans, Crispy Tofu Bites
google avatar

Christine D.

Yelp
I was struggling between 3 and 4 stars, so I'd say this is more of a 3.5 star review. I want to start by saying I appreciate their thorough gluten-free and vegetarian guide online that makes it easy to navigate their menu, as a person with an allergy. The service was also friendly and prompt. However, the whole place felt very hectic, and the music was way too loud with a weird selection of top hits from the 2010s. I ordered a lemongrass mojito, which came served in a regular glass, even though the menu said it would come in a street food-like pouch. It was fine, but nothing special. For an app, I ordered the crispy tofu bites, which were perfectly crunchy on the outside and creamy on the inside. But to really take them off over the top, I wish they had come with a dipping sauce. For my entree, I had the Po Po Lo's chicken curry. It had a good level of spice, and the broth itself was rich and delicious. Overall, I enjoyed my meal, but had higher expectations for the ambiance and drinks.

Yelp
This spot was on our list since we discovered it in Dallas last year. We rode by it in Nashville while on a weekend getaway and made a U-Turn after one round of rock paper scissors. The ambiance here is a chill eclectic vibe, very on theme for the cuisine. Hayden was our server. He provided top tier service. Very attentive and friendly. He gave honest feed back about what his preferences were on the menu and I would venture to say he didn't miss with his selections. He was personable and provided us with some hearty laughs. We ordered: Viet-Spresso (10/10) - I'd like to think of myself of an espresso martini connoisseur. This ranks at the top of my list. It was made with Tito's which is my preferred vodka in this cocktail. It was creamy and sweet. Just delicious. Yi-Yi's Chicken Dumplings (8/10) - they were solid. The sauce was mediocre but then we paired it with the Vietnamese vinaigrette that came with the spring rolls and it unlocked a new level. Chinese Pork Bao Buns (10/10) - the buns were soft but sturdy. The meat was well seasoned and well cooked. It was saucy and juicy but didn't weigh down the bread. And they weren't stingy with the pork serving. Five-Spice Sticky Ribs (10/10) - It was a healthy portion. They were perfectly cooked, there was a nice amount of crunch on the outside, a good amount of fat (which I like on my ribs) and once you bit through the skin, the meat was juicy. The sauce was done perfectly. It was a sticky sauce very well balanced, savory, and sweet. Coconut Shrimp (10/10) - they were fried to perfection. The curry dipping sauce was the perfect contrast. In combination it provided a sweet and savory crispy shrimp. Spring Rolls (10/10) - best I've had... ever. Crispy, crispy, crispy, and flavorful, the Vietnamese dipping sauce was perfect. Usually with spring rolls there's a thick sauce that pairs with them but this sauce being so thin allowed it to saturate all the way through. Perfect! Roti Canai (10/10) - I didn't think about ordering this until Hayden recommended it. The roti was like eating puffed pastry. It was delicious. And the combination with the curry dipping sauce left me wanting more. Banana Spring Rolls (10/10) - Honestly, at this point I felt like we couldn't miss so we shot our shot with this dessert. I do not know how they get there spring rolls that crispy but my o my they nail it. This dessert gave crispy banana, peanut butter and jelly spring rolls. The ice cream was the smooth creamy coolness bonus.

Yelp
Was here on a Friday night with a group. Seated in about 20 minutes. Some of the smaller plates came out really quickly, but the larger entrees took about 30-40 minutes. I ordered the won ton noodle soup, which was overall pretty tasty. Wish the spinach was cooked with the dish rather than placed raw atop everything though. Pretty pricey for small portions, but good fusion flavors. The outdoor seating is very nice and aesthetic. Street parking available, which may be limited.
google avatar

Ren N.

Yelp
Layback picnic style restaurant, up to 4-6 people per table. Generally dark but neon lit signs made it very contemporary Asian fusion feel. We were here for happy hour 4-6pm. There are several five dollar items like Bao buns, edamame to choose from as well as 3 dollars off certain beers. Food comes pretty fast, you got a hard working chef in the back battling the flames. My favorite has got to be the pork belly Bao bun and the edamame. It's not plain, it's seasoned just right. Parking is tight, only a few spots with a line waiting but if you're lucky you can find spots by the side of the road.

Yelp
We visited this spot for lunch on New Year's Day. I don't have anything bad to say at all! The hostess and our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant seemed very clean and the decor was so neat. My boyfriend and I weren't overly impressed with the appetizers and small bites but everything tasted good. The deep fried banana dessert was phenomenal!! I could've ordered a second round because it was THAT good. All of the flavors paired so well together. It's a little pricey but definitely worth the experience.

Yelp
Fun food with lots of choices. Happy hour between 3 and 6. Food kind of trickles out and staff socializes with each other a lot but they were very friendly and made great recommendations. Really enjoyed the soup dumplings. Everything sounded so good wish we could have tried more ...so we will just have to come back. Plenty of seating in and out. Great casual atmosphere. Loved the neon signs and murals on the walls.

Yelp
I have been on at least 5 different occasions with friends. The location is convenient considering where we are each located. The parking is the standard Nashville nightmare but I can at least find something that I do not have to pay for. The service is always good and the staff have always been polite. To me, it feel cozy for a chain restaurant and that makes it a comfortable space to catch up with friends. Everyone can typical find something they like and sharing food is fun when you like who you are with. So far, my favorites are the duck fried rice and the wonton soup.
google avatar

Dylan P.

Yelp
Hawkers exceed expectations, I'm not a huge fan of small plates because I've always felt the plates need to be extremely good in order to feel like you are getting good bang for your buck. This is one of those cases. Beef bulgogi was a hit with our group. Really good option for large groups and being ppl to when visiting Nashville. Really cool building they have. I look forward to trying more on this extensive menu!

Saeeda K.

Yelp
I took no pictures of my food but everything was delicious!!! Jordan G was our server. He was very pleasant and made several great recommendations. I got the sake flight which was well worth it. I didn't like my cocktail but the flight was great. For our late dinner we had the Seoul Hot Chicken buns #fantastic!!! If I ever go back, I'd get it over and over again. Next up was the Roti Canai - delicious! The roti had the perfect mix of softness and crispness. The curry was fabulous. And our last dish was the CKT noodles. I loved all of the food. I hope to get back to try some other dishes before I leave to go home. If you're looking for a nice vibe (relaxed) and good food, check this place out. You won't be dissatisfied!

Yelp
I was super excited to eat here because of the several different Asian cuisines under the same roof. It's a rainy day today. We walk into the restaurant and it has a hip vibe and the decor is hella on point. We like how the chopsticks are housed in old tea boxes. We started off with a Gin Rickshaw and a Yuzu Spritz. We mixed the drinks really well to have an even balance of alcohol and the liquid mixture. Unfortunately, both drinks lacked flavor and alcohol, because I'm a lightweight and didn't feel a buzz even before the food was ordered. We ordered the green papaya salad with shrimp. It tasted like vinegar and that all the little extras like red onion slivers and a handful of dried, roasted garlic was like it was trying too hard to make friends. The pork belly bao was overcooked and had both roasted peanuts which Ed cooked down to a sauce with the taste of pickled mustard greens - either one or the other would have worked, not both. We ordered kimchi fried rice as a recommendation from our server as the best dish. However, it did not taste like kimchi. We smelled it up close and couldn't smell the fermentation. Closely inspecting the dish and moving rice around, we only located around a half-dozen slivers of kimchi. Sigh, it was very plain to taste. We also ordered the five spice roasted duck fried rice. It had slices of a red peppers that were not spicy, and the five spice was difficult to locate. This also just tasted mostly like plain fried rice. The children's chicken lo mein was a hit with our toddler, but he is 2 years old and non-verbal. The best part of our dinner was the wonderful, friendly service that we received from Jojo! She is absolutely amazing! She knows about the food and drinks and just is a great big ball of sunshine!

Yelp
A very popular restaurant serving Asian fusion. The wait was long (25-30 min), which we eventually gave up for a bar seat. The service was great, the food was delivered fairly quickly. We ordered papaya salad, summer roll and a pad Thai. Pad Thai was ok, tasted more like Italian pasta than a pad Thai. The other two dishes were perfect. I'd come back to try other items.

Yelp
This was our first visit here for lunch and we loved it. They have alot of shareable options and some entrees, also. We tried 1 of the entrees and 3 shareables dishes. All of the food was on point and flavorful. They bring the food out as it gets ready. Our server ( Olya )was very nice and took great care of us. It's trendy and casual with a full bar. They played all different types of music, which I liked. It's not very well lit, but it gave off good vibes that went with the food. They have quite a few tables outside on the patio. They have a small lot with about 12 spots to park, but I think there is a lot right beside the Chicken truck right next door. We will definitely be going back. You will spend 40$ to 50$ for 2 people.

Yelp
Amazing ambiance, friendly staff and pretty good food Although the food isn't traditional, we still had a great experience right before our flight in Nashville, Tennessee. Would recommend!

Yelp
Amazing food! Finger licking yummy food! I have been here a few times now - dragged friends here too and it hits the right spots. The ambience is good, service is quick and the wait staff is good at describing the menu items. The drinks are good too. I discovered the happy hour food menu when I went there early once and it's such an amazing deal! If you are in Nashville you better stop and eat here.

Yelp
I'll say we were pleasantly surprised with this place! It was no where near what I was expecting. I loved the energy, food, and service. It seems like a fantastic place to come and grab drinks with buddies, or simply come and enjoy a great meal. Decor-hip Asian fusion with cartoon like drawings on walls. Cool outdoor area and open kitchen pretty sums this place up. Service-pretty good, nothing to write home about. Food-I will say I was very satisfied with the food I would come here again and try other things on the menu. Good stuff.

Yelp
Went here on a Sunday for brunch. This is a great place for a variety of Chinese food choices. Very much a street food variety. The place has in- and out-door seating. For early August we chose indoor as it was 93F outside. They are very much a tapas type place with a lot of small dishes for sharing. We had a variety of dim sum, twice fried wings, bbq ribs (greesy, as we like them), and spiced edema and curry chicken. The dishes are small and we have an opportunity to taste quite a variety of things. We had a mixture of water, tea and maugarita with the meal. The service was laid back.

Yelp
We had a great time here, we had a very large party and they treated us very well. The food we ordered was amazing and the shareables really do fill everyone up if you're worried about that. Overall second time coming here and it's great everytime!

Yelp
Loved the vibe at this place. The decor was super cool and chic. It has a very lively atmosphere. The service from Mikel was friendly and attentive. The pad thai was moist and delicious. The soup dumplings were ok - not very soupy but still good. The five spice green beans were fried in a batter and very tasty as well. Will definitely come back here the next time I'm in Nashville.

Yelp
Stopped in to Hawkers on a Friday night. The food is worth the wait but give yourself some extra time for parking- there isn't an easy local lot to get in/out of and you may have to search for a while when it's busy. I recommend the Bao buns (best thing we ate there) and the skewers. The pad Thai lettuce wrap was good but I don't think I would order it again. Ambiance is loud with a bit of a tiki or tropical vibe. They were playing 90s pop/rock/hip hop when we dined, which means I was dancing in my seat for most of the evening. :)

Yelp
Fun atmosphere! Food was super delicious & our server was so kind & helpful since we were first timers. It's been a couple months since we went so I can't remember much other than the great tasting food, great service, and neat atmosphere.

Yelp
I've saved writing a review for Hawkers until my wife and I had an opportunity to go multiple times to get a truly rounded experience and set of expectations. Now that we've been 3-4 times, I find that we keep talking about Hawkers and wanting to go back over and over in the weeks following our meals there. I love me some Asian cuisine, and thoroughly enjoy Hawkers' small plates experience, as it seems you end up ordering more than you normally would ($) but get to experience a variety of items. We made it a point to order several different items every time we went. I'll say this, while it may be hard to get in (expect a wait on just about any day of the week starting at about 6pm), but once you do, the food is fantastic! Not even sure where to start, but at a minimum if you go and don't order the Roti with the curry sauce, I'll judge you. It is too good for words. A Malaysian-style flatbread that is soft and crispy at the same time, but the curry dipping sauce sets the whole thing up! Can't get enough of these delicious appetizers. From the eggrolls to the crispy green beans, the wings to the lamb skewers to the sticky ribs, there really isn't anything bad to share with those who've come with you (except for the sharing part!)... I will say, speaking of the ribs, that one of the single best ribs I've ever put in my mouth came from Hawkers. Their Sticky Ribs are exceptional. SUPER Tender, absolutely Fall-Off-The-Bone, finger-licking good. The red pepper slices on top add a little bit of acidity and heat, and the sticky sauce they are coated in is on-point. Couldn't ask for a better small plate. My wife, who typically doesn't like ribs (lame) said these are the best ones she's ever tried. A pro-tip and must add to any experience here is the spicy dip trio (contains a flavorful paste, chili oil, and spicy green pepper dip). 100% recommend. Service is typical to good for East Nashville, but the bartenders are usually very welcoming and the drinks are fantastic! We've had several saki flights (all good), margaritas, and last time I got an Old Fashioned made with Japanese whisky. It was excellent. Overall, our last experience (and every one before that) at Hawkers did nothing to dissuade us from wanting to go back again, and soon!

Yelp
We stumbled across this gem by utter accident. In fact, we were the first customers. But , I am glad we did! What an amazing restaurant with great people working there. My sisters and I had the pleasure of being taken care of by Vic and Caleb. Each dish Vic brought out was delicious and contained so much flavor. It was a large serving size, so we were able to share and take some back to our air bnb . When we come back to visit Nashville, this will definitely be our first stop :) We appreciate Caleb & Vic's stellar service!
