The best pastries hands down!!! The almond croissant was the best I've ever had! If I brought a box of pastries to work a didn't tell anyone that they were vegan, the box would be devoured in minutes and everyone would be asking me where I got them from. The cinnamon roll was perfection. They also have incredible breakfast sandwiches and coffee. My family and I loved it so much we went 2 days in a row. We would have gone more, but we were only in San Diego for the weekend. I can't recommend this place highly enough! So amazing!!!

Google
Love this place! We got 2 cakes for our wedding. Hazel was incredibly helpful and went out of her way to make sure our cakes were exactly what we envisioned. We chose a berries and cream cake and a gluten-free chocolate cake, and both were absolutely perfect—gorgeous and delicious. Our gluten-free guests were so happy to have a tasty option. Hazel’s care and attention to detail really showed in the final result, and we’re so grateful.

Google
WOW! Hazel & Jade blew our socks off with the wedding cake that they made for us. I could not recommend them more. Not only was our cake incredibly delicious, but it was so beautiful to look at. I didn't want to cut into it; that is how gorgeous it was! It was really important to me to have a vegan wedding cake, and this team just blew it out of the water. We ended up choosing the gluten-free chocolate chip, and it was so moist and delicious. I am just sad we don't live in town, and we will have to wait until we are back to visit this place! If you are looking for a delicious wedding cake, look no further because you've found it! Thank you to your team from the bottom of our hearts!

Google
I was pleasantly surprised that when I arrived 10 minutes before they closed that thet still had croissants and other baked goods to choose from. While not ideal to arrive so late on a first-visit to this establishment, I appreciated that there was no issues purchasing some baked goods and an iced chai latte to-go. A short walk later, I consumed my goodies in Balboa Park. The chia latte was spicy in a great way. Croissant was so buttery. The outside had a nice crunch while the inside was fluffy and airy. I would love to come back earlier in the day to see if this was a good representation of what they are like more freshly baked. I have yet to consume the coffee cake, but it looks delicious. Very happy with my last-minute afternoon pop-in. 🙏 So much love and appreciation for restaurants who have a plant-based cuisine. Vegetarians and vegans, this is the spot for you.

Google
This is an excellent croissant. Delicious flaky layers, buttery without being oily. As a kid, I used to love getting a ham and cheese croissant at the local bakery with my mom as a special treat and this vegan version really hits the nostalgia for me. Thank you so much🙏

Google
The breakfast "sausage" pastry is so good, whatever the heck is in that thing is delicious! But really all of the pastries I've gotten here have been amazing. The coffee drinks are great, too. I love the almond-cashew blend milk. And...did I mention those pastries?? They really are something else! Staff are always lovely, too. Great place!

Google
Even if you are not Vegan or animal-cruelty conscious, what Hazel & Jade bakery has created with vegan butters and creams is fabulous! I don’t know how these 2 pastry chefs accomplished where others have failed, but their pastries, desserts and whole cakes rival any “dairy” dessert. They also have really fun coffee drinks with in house syrups and “milks”, along with breakfast croissants with vegan “meats”.

Google
BEST bakery ever! Vegan or non-vegan! The person who helped us out was kind and helpful with the menu as well as a kind passerby. Everything on the menu is vegan and there are some gluten free options as well. Lots of coffee options but the baked goods blow the drinks out of the water. The cinnamon roll is the best cinnamon roll I’ve ever had, vegan or non-vegan. Super crispy and chewy. The breakfast croissant is flaky and buttery with gooey cheese and a yummy sausage it was the perfect combo. Seasonal apple tart was delicious, delicious crumble and perfectly cooked apples inside. Truly incredible place. Would come back again and again!

Yelp
Exceptional pies and desserts, the taste, the richness, the presentation are worth our 35 minute drive to get to their location. Our absolute favorite is their vegan apple pie!

Yelp
I loved that there was an all vegan patisserie in San Diego. I was very excited to try it. I ended up getting a lot of things to try: Cinnamon roll, ciabatta breakfast sandwich, sausage roll, brownie, breakfast croissant, ham & cheese croissant, lemon bar, cookie (like a s'more). Also not pictured a cappuccino and a San Diego fog coffee, as well as two handmade coffee mugs. The service was great. The girl behind the counter was very kind and helpful. The place is off the beaten path and small but cute. There were a couple of tables outside; Mostly just an order and go type place though. I brought my husband who is not vegan and is allergic to some tree nuts; he really enjoyed the San Diego fog, ham & cheese croissant and the sausage roll (we actually got two of each). I agree those were also my favorites along with the cookie. All the other items we purchased were just okay. This is why I am giving it 4 stars not 5. Although I greatly appreciate an all vegan bakery, half the items bought were just okay: The brownie wasn't fudgey enough, the lemon bar was too crumbly, the breakfast croissant was not flavorful (the filling that is the croissants themselves are hands-down better than any croissants. I've had anywhere vegan or not), and the cinnamon roll was a little dry. Overall, I would definitely go back for more of the items that I loved and I would try other items that I didn't get if ever in the area again. I do recommend everyone giving them a try though.

Yelp
THE BEST!! This is not only my favorite vegan bakery but my favorite bakery across the board! Their cake is AMAZING (I literally just finished a slice), it's my favorite cake in the whole city and I'm not even vegan. All their baked goods are delicious. Super fudgy awesome brownies. Just walk in and order an assortment of everything, you won't be disappointed. They have breakfast sandwiches and cinnamon rolls and cookies and even sell cake by the slice which is my go-to. Or you can order a full cake from their website of varying sizes for any occasion. I don't know what they put in the frosting but it's the best frosting I've ever had and I would pay them handsomely for the recipe . We order their cakes for every occasion and people don't even know it's a vegan cake, everyone just says it's awesome and asks where we got it.

Yelp
Purchased 2 birthday cakes - amazingly delicious and totally vegan! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Made this our first stop in San Diego for coffee and pastries. I really enjoyed their almond croissant and pumpkin pie. I wasn't too fond of their savory croissants, but they were ok. The service was great and were very patient for me while I gawked at the pastry display. The shop is small with a few tables outside and was busy on a Sunday morning.
google avatar

Heather D.

Yelp
Omgosh what can I say..... best chocolate cake I've ever had. I am not vegan. Let me start there. My friend, who is vegan, was having a birthday party. We got the pistachio, the confetti, and gf chocolate. All of them were amazing. We ordered the 5" and they come "naked". The cake is so moist and the icing so rich that it was perfect. I picked up a few other items in the store to put in her gift basket. The shop is cute, but small. Just a few seats. The staff were so helpful. Parking is the only draw back. But it's Hillcrest so.... I would give 10 stars if I could
google avatar

Eryn R.

Yelp
Finally got a chance to try the lemon bar and it did not disappoint. The best part about desserts like this is feeling guilt free. Don't forget the caramel latte with almond cashew blend milk. Not a fan of the summer hours because

Yelp
I've been going to Hazel & Jade since I moved to the neighborhood and I can't say enough positive things about this spot. Amazing pastries, delicious coffee and stellar customer service. If you have a hankering for bomb vegan treats; then this is your spot.

Yelp
I'm shocked at the flavor this vegan gem packs. I don't often choose vegan but tried them today and I didn't even realize the sausage croissant I was eating was vegan until halfway through it. Service was fast and friendly. Small but cute interior.

Rob K.

Yelp
They have done it AGAIN!!! I highly recommend their Seasonal Lemon Cranberry Cake for any occasion!!! The flavor combination is out of this world. Thanks again Ladies for making my kiddos Birthday a Spectacular one!!

Yelp
I've been planning to visit this place for a couple of years now. Just never pushed through the past years. I'm vegan so I was ecstatic to buy vegan pastries. I got this last week and after a couple hrs I developed bad gas? And! My gas lasted until the next day - til the evening? I thought maybe I got the stomach flu? As it was THE ONLY thing I ate- the ham & cheese croissant. A week after I craved a vegan croissant again. I was thinking " Well what if I get another stomach ache? " But .. I doubt, right? Omg again. It was the only food I ate today & after a couple of hrs again! Another indigestion?!?!!? WTH??? Now I'm very curious in what they use for flour or what's in it that's causing my upset tummy(??) From the looks of it.. the pastries aren't freshly baked everyday. Probably it's been sitting on their display counter for .. who knows. It tasted good but also it's so OILY!!!?! I bought their croissants last week and kept it out on my kitchen counter and the following day... the ENTIRE box on the bottom was damped with OIL (??) Maybe that's what's causing my upset stomach. Lastly, the female ( short with black wavy or curled hair above her shoulder,) taking & preparing my orders sure has an attitude with such a poker face. NEVERRRRRR SMILES? What's up with that? Smiling is freeeeeee, so show some proper customer service. It can bring more production. If you don't like what you're doing, look for another job. I tried making small chats with her, but noooooo ...she replies bluntly & doesn't even smile‍ So unfortunate that they have her as their cashier/ employee. I'm sure I'm not the only one who noticed her. And WOW.. I've read the people that gave reviews and PLENTY have complained & reported about the same bad attitude this lady has (?) Same exact description as I gave. I guess maybe she's the owner(?) Bec despite all the years of bad reviews about HER, she's still there?!? I sure won't go back with all my experiences from this business.

Yelp
Pros: * Okay cakes; recommend trying them at room temperature versus cold * Delicious fillings * Cute shop * Excellent customer service * Easy to communicate via email * Great price for tasting - $15 for 6 flavors * Excellent vegan option Cons: * Out of 6 flavors, we liked 2 (recommend Confetti & Marble); however, these were not the flavors we were looking for for our cake. * Our tasting was very confusing. The menu that came with it did not match the cakes. They were out of order and didn't match the descriptions. Extra: * I think this is a great vegan option bakery

Yelp
Everything is vegan -even breakfast croissants! This place is amazing and the food is heavenly.

Yelp
I've been a customer of Hazel & Jade for a few years now . Their coffe is so delicious that sometimes I buy 2 . 1 for now & 1 for the road ;) They have some of the best plant based pastries anyone could enjoy .
google avatar

Ryan B.

Yelp
One of the best cinnamon rolls I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. The cinnamon sugar was perfectly crunchy and the frosting was very sweet. I will definitely be coming back to have it again. The service was wonderful and the staff was very helpful in choosing pastries. The shop is small but has a great vibe that centers around simplicity. So glad to have a plant based bakery in Hillcrest!

Lynn M.

Yelp
So far all the desserts we have tried from there have been excellent. Haven't tried any of the non-dessert foods but they look great. Next time I'll try some of those.
google avatar

Akemi W.

Yelp
A vegan friend RAVED about this place, so when I needed to pick up some desserts for someone with a dairy allergy, this seemed like a great place to try. To their credit, I will say that I wouldn't have known that the pastries were vegan if you hadn't told me. Nothing seemed "fake" or tasted off or seemed less than their dairy and egg counterparts. If you need to feed people with dietary restrictions along with people opposed to anything restricted, this is an awesome choice. Unfortunately though, the desserts just weren't amazing. The flavors weren't strong enough, which was especially disappointing with the lemon bar, which I was expecting to have some zing. If I'm not looking for vegan items specifically, I don't plan to come back in the future. I also got a breakfast sandwich while I was there. It was good, but very small!
google avatar

Jane W.

Yelp
Too good. I just go there & say take my money. My bf didn't even know his breakfast sandwich was vegan.
google avatar

Erin L.

Yelp
My husband ordered a vegan birthday cake for me from here and it was just delicious. Unfortunately we dug in before I got a good pic but the presentation was clean and adorable (I always love the classic confetti birthday cake) and the cake itself was moist and dense in the best way. The coconut cream icing wasn't too coconuty but added a unique touch to the flavor. Would definitely order from them again.
google avatar

Natalia P.

Yelp
Friendly staff, and it's delish! Had ham and cheese and can't remember the name of the other pastry, but both were tasty! I can't tell it's vegan! 4 starts because it is pretty pricey!
google avatar

Lee O.

Yelp
Stopped in to pick up some pastries from the two good to go app - it's a cute little place that you wouldn't even imagine exist cause it's right next to a hair salon. Decor is simple and sweet. They had some great looking pastries and the croissants are large and by large I mean huge probably two hands worth. I picked up a couple savory croissants with vegan meat and cheese, which were amazing. Especially if you save them for the next day and you can even toast them! Definitely picked up towards the later morning and pretty decent seating for a small date to or catch up session with one to two people. I want to go back and try their coffee next time. Service was quick. There's a couple spots in front so if you do come during rush hour or anything like that, just be prepared to look for parking but that's typical for Hillcrest.
google avatar

Dr ED M.

Yelp
The food is awesome and the service is A plus and ambiance is chill. The croissants are very, very good.
google avatar

Geoff L.

Yelp
Hazel and Jade scores higher for having cute decor, and delicious pastries but what is going on with that espresso??? Yikes...burnt and bitter and assaulting on the palate. A small shop like this needs to take pride in their beans and this one evidently does not.
google avatar

Enn B.

Yelp
Good coffee and delicious pastries, would definitely recommend! Get the mango sticky bun!

Yelp
Hazel & Jade is one of the places that will hopefully help people realize that eating something without animal products does not make it inferior in taste and quality whatsoever. This little bakery is located in the heart of Hillcrest and was a fabulous find as we were walking around taking in the sights. I love that everything here is plant based with a little bit of education for the children on the menu too. It's also not just substitutes like mock meats or cheeses, but ingredients that will make you wonder, "how is this vegan?" My friend and I stopped by around 13:00 and they luckily still had some options available. There were a few great sized portions of their cheesecake brownie, lemon tarts, and muffins still available. I went for the brownie ($5) and it was a wonderful treat for sure. It was not overly sugary as a traditional brownie and retained a similar consistency and gooeyness. The lemon tart was also fantastic and another must-try. For these prices, I will happily return for more someday. Definitely stop on by and reap the benefits of an all-vegan bakery because the goods here are top notch. Take advantage of their frontside outdoor seating and people watch with a treat and latte - makes for a great afternoon break. Thanks Hazel & Jade for the awesome sweets!

Yelp
A cute vegan bakery! Got a sausage and cheese biscuit and it was delicious. Perfect texture and savoriness. I would love to try the other items on their menu some day! The staff here is friendly, and it's a nice bakery, although small. Nice, cute vibes. Highly recommend!

H C.

Yelp
An impressive bakery with a good variety of treats. My friends will come with me here for the cheezy biscuit, while I always try something new. Some stand outs have been the almond croissant and the peanut butter brownie. If you have a friend who is vegan/dairy allergic/egg allergic this place is a great place to order their birthday cake! My friends surprised me with a cake from here a year ago for my birthday and I have gone back for every occasion since. For both occasions I have personally ordered a cake from Hazel and Jade, they have been very flexible with any customizations I have wanted (dying the frosting green, adding flowers). They have cake slices usually in the fridge, so if it's your first time ordering a cake from them, I'd recommend trying a slice before deciding on a flavor. They did Alicia Keys' birthday cake so you know it's reliable quality.
google avatar

Mariah R.

Yelp
I purchased the vegan earl grey cake for my wedding and was absolutely blown away by the taste. I got so many compliments from my guests gushing about how good it was and how they couldn't believe it was vegan. I asked for the cake to be decorated with just white frosting as I had purchased a cake topper and cake florals from a local flower shop and it was perfect !
google avatar

Christina H.

Yelp
Hazel & Jade was a cute little place, not much seating. I ordered a chocolate cake to pick up, and it was delicious. The cake was very moist and had a great texture considering it was gluten free! However, the icing was a bit too sweet for me. If you want to get a cake, it dose need to be ordered 48 hours in advance so plan ahead. I will definitely be back to try all the other flavors! Pictured is the chocolate cake and the size was called "the little cake"
google avatar

Jennifer W.

Yelp
So glad we got to visit Hazel & Jade this time around! We opted fod the breakfast croissant, GF chocolate muffin, and the cinnamon roll. The GF muffin was amazing! So soft and fluffy, and not overly sweet. The cinnamon roll was good, however parts of it were a little hard to chew. Flavors were on point! We had the croissant the day after, but it was still delicious. Flaky and all you would want in a croissant! We also got two iced americanos. Strong coffees for our ride back to Arizona! Will certainly be back to try more goodies!
google avatar

Yelp
We've seen this cute little spot on every one of our long weekend walks, but have never had a chance to stop in. We were walking from home to the convention center for Comic-Con and thought it'd be the perfect moment to give it a try. Did I mention it's a super-cute spot? Because it is. There's a small patio in the front and a narrow shop that greets you with cases of vegan and gluten free goodies. Neither of us were hungry at that time, so we'll have to go back to try the pastries. They were empty when we walked in (only one other guest who'd ordered and was waiting outside when we got there), so we were able to place our orders right away: a Chai Latte with their almond/cashew milk for me ($5) and a Rose Latte with their oat milk for my husband ($6). Our drinks were ready in a flash, so we grabbed the cups and headed on back out into the heat and humidity for the rest of our trek downtown. I did end up enjoying my drink more than my husband did; he was *so* excited about the rose latte but found the rose syrup to be too off-putting - the syrup made the drink "taste artificial" in his words. The Chai latte was good - it had a good balance of sweet and spicy, but I did find it to be a tiny bit too watery for my preference. I do think we'll stop by again at some point, given its proximity to home and our desire to support local shops. I just think we'll opt for different offerings.

Yelp
The vegan cinnamon role is divine :) I am not the biggest fan of their coffee/syrups, but the pastries keep me coming back.

Yelp
UM the Best high quality vegan baked goods, croissant, brownie, magic cookie bar all were amazing!! Must try if in the neighborhood.

Yelp
My husband's favorite vegan pastries even our non vegan friends rave about the pastries from here! It's a small cute shop on a main street but dang is it worth it!!
google avatar

Priyesha B.

Yelp
My all time favorite bakery in San Diego. Their new items keep me coming back for more! I originally discovered Hazel and Jade because it's one of the only all vegan bakeries in town, but I stand by that their pastries do not taste vegan and are absolutely delicious. Hazel and Jade is located in the popular center of Hillcrest, tucked away that you may almost miss it! Though the shop is small, they have cute tables for seating and have colors and decor to liven the area. Their pastry shelves have a variety of offerings from croissants to cookies to cakes! I've tried many of their croissants, their brownies, and many of their seasonal specials too. My favorites have to be the chocolate peanut butter bar that is so decadent and has a delicious crust. The staff is so friendly and also so welcoming too, that it definitely keeps me coming back. I'm always excited to try their new creations and would recommend this bakery to the vegans and non vegans with a sweet tooth like mine!

Sarah R.

Yelp
I wish I could give more stars! Orders a cake from here and a blue berry croissant: AMAZING. I cannot believe I haven't been here yet, please do yourself a favor and stop by. It's incredible to find a GF and vegan bakery that tastes so spectacular. Worth bringing every person you know here.
google avatar

Karla R.

Yelp
Off the bat what you need to know: PROS -- great food and drinks, awesome selection of music, friendly staff, all plant-based CONS -- small outside patio fits two groups in their shaded area and one group of up to two w/o any shade, only open from 7AM-2PM (or 1PM on Sunday) If you're in the area in the morning, I absolutely recommend you go to Hazel & Jade. They have sweet treats and savory pastries, in addition to several coffee and teas that you can have iced or hot. It's a great place to get a quick breakfast whether you're on the go or lucky enough to snag a table. The cashier who helped me was super nice. I told her it was my first time there and I was excited to try it, and she welcomed me and told me to ask her any questions if I had any. I got the "ham and cheeze" croissant paired with an iced rose latte. One word to describe them? -- WOW!! The croissant was delicious and perfectly flaky, and it's contents inside were equally as great. The latte was literally one of the best drinks I've ever had. Seriously, it may just be a new go-to spot for me for that reason.

Yelp
We hired Hazel and Jade Bakery to bake our wedding cake for July 15, 2023 and were extremely happy with the high quality cake and customer service. First off, the cake tasting of the six flavors was so much fun and inexpensive. We loved the double chocolate and coffee/marble best so had to change our mind from a single layer cake to a 6", 8" two tier cake to get both flavors! Second, the team was responsive, punctual, professional, and easy to work with. Most of all, the cake was AMAZING. And so gorgeous with all the florals that matched our wedding florals. So many guests, vegan and non-vegans, absolutely loved the cake and couldn't believe it was vegan. It was so moist, perfectly delicious and definitely gone by the end of the night. So glad I saved a couple slices. We would highly recommend your services! I'll definitely be buying more cake in the future. Thank you!

Yelp
BEWARE TO ANY OUT OF TOWNERS!!!! Think long & hard before coming here. I had the most delicious ham and cheese croissant I've had quite possibly ever. Now I'm thousands of miles away mourning my sweet perfection of a croissant. It's not like I can just go drive there on a whim. I cry nightly and pass out dreaming of croissants. I went to my local vegan coffee shop that sells pastries and they don't even sell croissants. I'm in hell. If only I had never visited Hazel & Jade, I wouldn't be suffering this much.
google avatar

Yelp
What in the actual WhAt?! I've known of this shop for a while, and I'm so glad I finally got a chance to try it while in San Diego. I pre-ordered the day before on their website to be sure I got the things I wanted to try. Literally perfect textures on all of these items. The brioche is so moist... that's the texture I'm always looking for in vegan cinnamon rolls. Those croissants are downright amazing. Crispy, flaky, layered, moist, perfect chew, and the filling is just enough. And the gf muffin... no dry or crumbly muffin here. Great work! I will be back to try more from their menu soon!

Yelp
I must be living under a rock! I searched for a bakery and H&J came up and they open at 7 am on a Saturday! This unpretentious hidden little gem has been open for 2 1/2 years and I have only now found them! I think I drove by at one point and thought it was a hair salon...LOL! Friendly greeting when I walked in, and I just started to order: plain croissant, almond croissant, pistachio scone, cinnamon roll, chocolate chunk muffin (GF), chocolate brioche, and a peach muffin? Loved the crispy exterior of the croissant and the pistachio scone had mini chocolate chips...both soooo good! I had half of the peach muffin or was that pineapple? Whatever it was, it was very tasty! So I went to their website to see what their menu was... "plant based pastries don't have to be a sacrifice." O-o??? Are all of your pastries vegan? "Yes! Everything we make at Hazel & Jade Bakery is vegan...." "WHAT???" and I say again "WHAAAAAT???!" This explains a lot. You know how you get baked goods that you like and they all taste pretty much the same....well, these are uniquely delicious! And who would've thunk that I would love these pastries. Hazel and Jade really know what they're doing! I'm really glad I stopped in and have a new place to add to my rotation!

Yelp
First let me start by saying I love baked goods!! One morning my daughter asked if I'd go to this place called Hazel &Jade to p/u some goodies of the sweetness! I didn't want to go but she gave me that daughter look plus she said those magic words My treat! I'm in . When we got there it was very small but the place was packed with yummy choices. When I asked for coffee the young lady offered me Oat milk ?? Then I found my daughter took me to a all plant base bakery??? Well I'm not saying that I'm converting but this place was off the cow (hook). I had a piece of pecan pie which reminded me of when I was a small tike .My peeps and you know who you are leave room for growth no matter how old you are !!

Felipe R.

Yelp
The food/coffee here is amazing. But unfortunately the service is terrible. One girl is particular is the worst. No "hello" "what can I get started for you?" I have to stand there uncomfortably and tell her my order when she seems interested. Such a shame, but obviously management doesn't care because there's plenty of bad reviews regarding the service and they've done nothing about it.

Yelp
In my quest to find new food places near Balboa Park, I found Hazel & Jade Bakery. For starters, I will say that I really, really liked the pastries. Note: this place is vegan, and I honestly could not tell the difference. Let's be honest here, most of time time vegan foods usually lack flavor, or even taste so bland that you are forcing yourself to eat it because you are hungry; it is not the case here. The almond croissant was really good, so much flavor. We also got a breakfast croissant, the fake meat and cheese was very flavorful; had I not known this was vegan, I would not be able to tell the difference! The food here is on the pricey side, but in their defense, I am aware that going vegan does cost a premium, so that is expected. Also, be aware the space here is small and tight. Seating here is very limited, but again this is expected as you in in the city where space is a premium. I highly recommend this place!

Yelp
Hands down the best vegan croissants in San Diego! The flavor and texture are exactly what you hope for from a freshly baked croissant - buttery, puffy, lots of layers, and the glossy, crispy outer layer shatters into a flaky mess as you bite into it. Pure magic. I think I've tasted almost everything they have on the menu and I've been so happy with the high quality selection of pastries. Ordering a cake is an easy process and the cake turned out beautiful and was exactly what we needed for our event. I am so thankful that I have access to such a delicious vegan option in my neighborhood!

Yelp
We are new to Hillcrest so on the hunt to check out all of our local spots. I've passed by this spot a few times and have been drawn in by their mini patio. My husband and I walked over to grab coffee and pastries this morning. They specialize in "plant based" pastries, which is an interesting take! They have a small coffee menu which includes a housemade almond cashew blend. First, the coffee - I got the cold brew with the almond cashew blend. The ratio was a little too heavy on the milk, but the cold brew itself was smooth and not overly bitter or acidic. Exactly how cold brew should be! The milk is unsweetened and does not have a particularly strong flavor, which isn't necessarily a bad thing! My husband just got black coffee, which he said was good but the compostable lid was pretty drippy as we walked home. In terms of pastries, I got the sausage and cheese biscuit, which also has some maple syrup in it. The flavors were good but the texture inside was overly doughy. My husband got the biscuit sandwich and said his biscuit was the best part of the sandwich. So, maybe I just got one that was a little undercooked. His sandwich had an impossible patty on it with smoked Gouda, egg, and candied jalapeños! Love the addition of jalapeños. Since we couldn't get our minds off the sweet pastries, we each picked out one more pastry to take to go. I got the almond croissant and my husband went with coffee cake. They packed it up in a cute box, and we're excited to snack on those later.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my visit here. It's beautiful, clean and offers a great selection of gluten free and/or vegan pastries as well as an all vegan drink menu I am a black espresso drinker and my shots were pulled beautifully. The flavor was perfect- I'm already dreaming about when I can go back to get more. We tried the cinnamon roll and the chocolate chip cookie. Can I just say, the cinnamon roll was drool-worthy. I split it with my kids and it was plenty big for all of us and was so gooey, doughy and sugary exactly the way you would want. Not too much, not too little. Not the sticky sappy sweet of artificial ingredients either. It was heaven The cookie I brought home for my husband but had to sneak a bite. It was a large gf cookie, mind you, and only 3.25; a steal! He said it was one of the best he's had. We enjoyed sitting on the small, covered patio space out front and then venturing off to trolley barn park. We will be back soon
