I’ve been to Hell’s Kitchen twice now and I’d say the most recent time was better, in terms of service. Water was always filled, our waitress kept checking in on us and food came out very quickly. My complaint about this area is that it is so loud that you have to shout across the table to hear each other. It seems like we can hear the kitchen but the acoustics of the room makes it so that everything echoes.
Food:
Prix Fixe Menu ($104) came with an appetizer (we chose Seared Scallops), Beef Wellington, and dessert (Sticky Toffee Pudding).
-Seared Scallops: the first time we went here, it came with 5 pieces and now it’s down to 3 pieces for the same price. It was perfectly cooked. It made sense to order with the prix fixe menu but I don’t think it’s worth it by itself for $30.
-Beef Wellington: the beef had great flavor and was tender. The puff pastry melts in your mouth. The price for this dish only is $71.95– the prix fixe is a good deal.
-Crispy Skin Salmon ($39.95): this is my favorite dish. The skin is so crispy and the salmon is cooked well. The sauce has great flavor and compliments the salmon well. The whole dish was filling which makes it the best bang for your buck here.
-Wagyu Meatballs ($23.95): comes with 5 pieces. We were asked if we wanted to have a side of bread with it. We said yes, it came with 5 pieces, but I forgot to see if this was an add on or if it was included with the price.
-Brussels Sprouts ($15.95): small bowl as a side. This was very good and I’d get it again. Can comfortably share with 2 people, maybe 3-4 if you’re ordering other sides.
-Baked Mac and Cheese ($15.95): This was alright, I probably wouldn’t order again.
-Sticky Toffee Pudding: comes with ice cream and it was delicious! Good to share with 2-3 people.
-Chocolate Sin Cake: this was also so good with the chocolate gelato up top. I’d get this again.
Overall:
Great service, food was great. I suggest getting the Prix Fixe menu since you’re only paying $30 more for an appetizer and a dessert. If you’re here at Harrah’s already and wanted to try this place out, I’d say it’s good to try once. But if you’re looking for a more fine dining option that’s a bit quieter, I’d suggest looking elsewhere.
