This was the best random Thursday night dinner with my bestie! The whole vibe was just what I needed! Live music!!!! The band on 7/24/25 was perfection! Our waiter Leo, was on his game! We never had to search for him and his positivity was greatly appreciated! Please check it out folks, right on the water, nice walk from garage, lovely breeze (and I am not a summer gal!), but it was great! Food: 10/10! Apps - Bestie had oysters, I had grilled Carolina jerk bites, mimosas! Meal - she had Thai Chilean sea bass. I had HQ steak with chimichuri sauce, and garlic butter fries, so good! We even did dessert - bread pudding, one of the best I've had! If you need good vibes, good music, great food, please go and treat yourselves, because why not?!

Me, My Daughter and Granddaughters came here for Brunch. This was our 1st time here. It was all you can eat. The food and desserts were so delicious. Great atmosphere. Beautiful restaurant. Waitress: Keiona was so nice. We will definitely be back.

I loved this place the first time I came! The service was amazing (my waiter made it memorable and he was so accommodating - ask for Cam— he’s a waiter and bartender), but the second time I came I would say the service wasn’t as good (lack of follow up and not as accommodating and I was surrounded by wonderful company), so overall when I did have a good experience I really enjoyed the ambiance (lots of natural light, beautiful decor — it was very modern and cozy feeling). Also, the water views are spectacular!! I am not a big cat fish person but my waiter (Cam) sold me on trying the fish and grits and it was amazing! It was perfectly seasoned to perfection with a light batter and my waiter was so nice that he also gave me Shrimp (nice large size) so I could have a shrimp and fish with grits experience and it did not dissapoint at all!!! The all you can eat buffet was nice too but I usually order from the menu if I am not that hungry but if I am then I’ll do the brunch which has a nice variety of different food options! Also the drinks are amazing, they will smoke your old fashion for you (if you request) and they had a special all you can drink old Fashion which was a great deal because one already cost you almost 20+ dollars and the special was $69 all you can drink so I just got the special (but it may be limited promotion). I loved how their bar is set up and they have a section where you can see beautiful water view and lots of natural light (all windows on the one side of the restaurant) but if you want more privacy and intimate gathering then they have a back section to the side where they can seat you.

Update: I just had an opportunity to try their brunch and it was amazing! The food was delicious and the service was amazing! Shout out to Amber our server. I know she was just just doing her job, but she made us feel like friends! Thank you, Amber, you were the absolute BEST! Hurry up and visit before the secret gets out! This restaurant combines the elegance of an upscale restaurant with the comfort of southern cuisine. Our bartender, August, kept our drinks flowing and the conversation going! Our server, Jordan, was attentive and informative about the menu and suggested the perfect pairings. The GM, Lisa, took great care of our large party and ensured that every guest felt welcomed and heard. Finally, Chef Vi, thank you for seasoning the food the way that I would at home. It was perfection! This will be a regular spot!

My cousin and I went for the All you can eat crab legs on Friday(s). They were delicious!! Would definitely go again. You get crab legs, cornbread (😋), and beer, wine, or cocktail selections. My cousin was visiting from out of town and was having a massive craving. Well, she was quite pleased with the crab legs. Definitely a good date spot. It's tucked away and near the water. Nice vibe and ambiance. Will be going back to check out their brunch!! Our server was amazing. Very attentive and prompt when puting in our batches of crab legs, which were plentiful. Cornbread good too, however, we focused on the crabs! 😜 Go and enjoy!

What a beautiful presentation! Cherry blossom theme throughout the restaurant. Food was absolutely delicious... Fried Chicken, mac and cheese and Salmon were amazing!! We had reservations so the wait time to be seated was minimal. The waitstaff were attentive and helpful. Will definitely be visiting again!

My husband surprised me by taking me here for their Sunday all you can eat brunch. The options an was great , but definitely not worth the price . I would say some of the food was cold due to equipment issues, The staff was truly amazing , attentive an also the manager was aware of the equipment issues an did try to fix the issue. The restaurant itself is very clean an beautiful. I'm not going to lie an say it's not pricey . They also offer bottomless mimosas will get you drunk so be careful lol

Came here on a Friday night for the bottomless crab legs, cornbread, and drinks. This food was so nasty😭. Every ingredient they used seemed to be the cheapest option. The crab legs are very obviously frozen they were so rubbery and flexible they wouldn’t crack and the inside was extremely dry. I’ve never had crab legs where the meat is dry. The butter for the crab legs was unsalted, also have never seen that before we had to add salt from the table into it. The cornbread tastes like they make it by using premade mix with just water. After the first one we got (in the picture) the ones after that were burnt and chewy, even that butter on top had no flavor at all. Everything was dry, flavorless, and just nasty. For the first time I don’t think i have anything good to say about an entire meal. Even the drinks just taste like juice. We wanted to love this restaurant so bad, the inside is very pretty, and the people working are very nice but the food is absolutely horrible especially for $75 per person which ended up being $90 after tip.

Yelp
I planned an event here for my sister's wedding. It was just enough room and the decor in the private room were spectacular. Not too much not too less just right. The restaurant has a lot of seating indoor and outdoor. I've been to the location in VA only so I thought it would've been similar in decor. Anyways: speaking with Josiana via phone, text and email she was great. I had a little hiccup afterwards but the GM Lisa and Josiana handle it very well. Bob was great as well and very accommodating the day of the brunch! Only thing our server needed more assistance but she tried her best! Now to the food! The food was amazing! We went brunch which is $70.00 pp not including taxes and everything else. The brunch was amazing. I wish I was able to eat more I only had two plates. The grits were my favorite. You can order omelettes but didn't find out until later. They have waffle station and they were great. The seafood selection was incredible and fresh. They had crab legs, oysters, mussels, and more. Omg the Peachy Lemon Drop baby was just what I needed. Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks. I will definitely go back by myself .

Yelp
I had dinner last night with my cousin, who was visiting from New Orleans and craving good Southern cuisine. I figured this new spot would be worth a try, and overall, it didn't disappoint! The ambience is absolutely gorgeous. We went for dinner, but I can only imagine how stunning it must be during the day with the waterfront view. It's a great setting for catching up with family and friends. The food was really good and definitely reminded me of home. We started with oysters, corn, cornbread, and deviled eggs--all delicious. I also tried a pickled martini for the first time; while it wasn't my favorite, it was still an interesting experience. For dinner, we had the catfish and grits, chicken and waffles, and the hanger steak with fries. Everything was well-seasoned and flavorful. The service was solid--friendly and attentive. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is that while everything was good, nothing completely blew me away. Still, I'd absolutely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for quality Southern-inspired food in a beautiful setting.

Yelp
Went to Hen Quarter Prime with my girlfriends for their brunch buffet. While the ambiance was undeniably luxurious--think velvet-upholstered chairs, elegant curtains, and a chic vibe--I left feeling a bit underwhelmed by the food options for the price point. The standout was definitely the seafood tower, featuring snow crab legs, shrimp, and oysters. Fresh and delicious, it was the highlight of the meal. However, beyond the seafood, the variety of dishes felt limited compared to what I expected for a brunch buffet in this price range. If you're going for the upscale setting and enjoy indulging in a seafood tower, this might be worth a visit. But if you're looking for a wide array of brunch classics, you may find yourself wanting more. Would return for the ambiance, but hoping for an expanded menu in the future.

Yelp
Two words: Hidden Gem. Located off the beaten path, this place is flooded with charm and class. A cozy fireplace in the dining room really creates a cozy feeling. The food menu includes all of your southern staples. The blackened catfish and grits were excellent. I'm looking forward to come back and exploring the rest of the menu.

Yelp
Very nice ambiance, friendly staff and the waiters provide good recommendations. We had specialty items for a special event, so I can't speak on the standard menu. Gauging from the steak and seafood options we had, they prepare food well with a good seasoned palette. Vallet parking available and there's a garage close by. I recommend calling ahead just in case the standards change regarding the discount applied to the garage.

Yelp
Alexa play Mr. Big Stuff by Jean Knight, for my non R&B lovers play Who do you think you are by The Haywood's. The funny part of this brunch was that my partner in crime was excited to make up our previous Sunday brunch spot with Hen Quarter Prime. He always picks the best places and last Sunday was less desirable. So here we were! A new "hot spot". Parking was nightmare. We circled and circled around looking like two thieves casing the area. Finally lucky him, he found a spot. Thank goodness he's always early! It was the street parking or valet. Entrance, cute little entrance, super nice host. We asked for outside dining to enjoy the rest of this good DC weather! We got seated down. No menus were given to us but the host told us about the brunch option. We waited about 5 minutes for our server who never came but someone else did to take our drink order. Brunch was obviously the thing to do! We asked the nice man if we could just order with him verses waiting on our waitress. He said sure, we placed our order, got up and went to the buffet style area. The buffet was small and packed like sardines, luckily patrons were nice. A big guy ran into me, I almost threw my whole plate of food on a woman but thank goodness I was able to catch what could have been a disaster for her outfit, hair and day! She was sweet and said she was grateful I caught my plate. We came back to an empty table, still no drinks. No water, nothing. We had eaten most of our meal when our $10 bottle of champagne finally arrived. I don't complain but I told my handsome to just send it back because our plates were almost empty. He's a super patient person, so he said it was fine. Our waitress finally came over and appeared to be high or maybe just real "groovy". I'm not sure how to explain her. Nice but something was off. She was our waitress but might as well not have been because the guy assisted us more. Drinks came about 30 minutes later. After observing the cheap bottle of champagne we were given, my handsome explained to the waiter that he saw their website and it specifically said that unlimited mimosas were included into the brunch menu price. He explained they just had opened, made a mistake on the menu and corrected the hand held menus. But not on the website. Let's just say we eat and brunch, we have money (the both of us), we don't mind spending $200-$500 on a meal, we do it often. However, he chose this place over a better spot because of the price point. Is this place worth it? I'm going to give kudos where it's due. The food was good but lukewarm. The spread was decent but not worth the price point. The unlimited mimosas as an add on, robbery. Like serious robbery. A $10 bottle? Queues music: Alexa volume 4, Who do you think you are? We had one bottle. $10 was the normal retail price. $29 dollars each person for unlimited mimosas and a guaranteed headache from your cheap bottle, um. No gracias! Would I come back? Maybe for dinner but if I never came back, I'm GOOD! Let's get into it! Waffle - Best thing to get! Eggs- Good! Bacon - Fried hard fans you'll love! Crab legs- Full of flavor! Cajun Pasta - Delicious Potatoes- Yummers Greens- Decent Green Bean Casserole- Eh Champagne - Hard Pass Overall Hen Quarter Prime is decent food wise. They are like that date you think has it all together only to find out he lied on his profile. He's not 6 foot, he's got it going on but ew that one lie is Deceitful. I've lost trust. You had me and all you needed to do was impress me once. Hopefully they get their kinks worked out. Perhaps they need to reevaluate the buffet area. Not sure the restaurant is set up for that. Oh and please update your website. Sighs. Well Yelpies, hope your visit is better than mine. Hugs

Yelp
This place was amazing! Came here for DC restaurant drink. Got there super early so I sat at the bar. The bartender was so nice and made some great espresso martinis. He was so great that when my friend arrived we decided to stay at the bar instead of taking a table for our reservation. I ordered the chicken, collards and Mac and cheese. EVERYTHING was good! Zero complaints! I will definitely be back. This place is a great spot for girls catch up, a date, or just a solo dinner date.

Yelp
Amazing ambience because you're right off of the water. The inside is decorated quite nicely and I think it was pretty classy. The service was amazing and so friendly! The half chicken that I got was a huge portion and very much worth the money. I highly recommend this spot whenever you're down by the Navy yard.

Yelp
Can you believe for $75 you can get an unlimited brunch that includes seafood, a carving station, made to order omelets, and so much more!? On top of that the location is so nice located next to the water to the ambiance is immaculate. The restaurant itself is so cute. The service is excellent and their drinks are really good! If you're looking for an affordable well worth the money brunch in the DC area, I highly recommend that you visit this place. You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
I finally had a chance to check out their brunch. You definitely want to make a reservation during peak times. My group dropped the ball on the resy, but we were able to get a few seats at the bar. Not only was the food good, but the service at the bar was really good. Our bartender made us drinks to match our tastes and she did a great job. We all loved them. They do offer an unlimited option, but none of us wanted to go that route on the day we went. I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 because the dessert section wasn't that great. They definitely could use some improvements in that department. With that being said, it is still a great brunch that will go into the rotation.

Yelp
We came to the Hen Quarter Prime to try out their bottomless brunch. We decided to uber to this location because it is 1 mile from the metro and currently way too cold to walk, and we were unsure about parking in the area. The street is small and not much street parking, I also didn't see any garages nearby, so definitely keep this in mind if choosing to drive. They have a very large outdoor patio seating area overlooking the water that would be great to sit at during the warmer months. Once we were inside we were seated rather quickly and immediately served water. If you opt to do the bottomless drinks, you can rotate between the various options of mimosas, old fashioned, or wine. I love that they leave a full bottle of champagne with you for the mimosas so you don't have to wait around for a refill. The brunch itself is buffet style, except the omelets which that you place an order with your server. Some food items were better than others for example the waffles, prime rib, raw bar, deviled eggs, jambalaya, grits, and made to order omelet were all great. The fried chicken was over fried so a bit hard, and the Mac and cheese was a little runny so I knocked off a star for this. It is a bit pricey when compared to others in DC that offer a larger and wider food selection, but since they have only been open for a few months I would try the brunch again. Overall, we had a great experience at the brunch and will be back to try out their dinner.

Yelp
Yesterday , I had Sunday brunch. This upscale dining spot offers a sophisticated Southern hospitality experience. This restaurant, offers a robust selection including a seafood spread , carving station, made to order omelettes, pancakes, and waffles. There was also a bagel and waffle bar. The crab legs were everything to me. The collard greens, deviled eggs, fried chicken, and Banana pudding were my favorites. The brunch buffet area was a little tight. The service was amazing! Our servers Lala and Princess were very professional, efficient, and made for a great experience. We even met the managers , Lisa and Bobby. They have a private room that can hold up to 25. This is a great date spot, girls outing, or gathering with family. FYI- Brunch was very pricey !!!! Over $200 for 2 people. Bottomless mimosas is $29 per person . Also, make a reservation when there is no game as parking is limited or you can valet.

Yelp
Have you stayed in a 5-star hotel over seas? If you have then you've likely had brunch at Hen Quarter Prime. It was good, don't get me wrong, but unless you're willing to spend at least 200$ on your meal, this ain't the place for you. Service was good considering you get the food yourself. IMO it took a little too long to get my mimosa to my table, if I'm paying 29$ for bottomless, that should be ready to go. I would not come back to this place unless the dropped the prices significantly. I can go to much better food and drink places in NOVA for at least 100$ cheaper. TLDR- don't come here unless you want to pay at least 200$ for brunch that would be better somewhere else.

Yelp
This place has been alll the rave amongst social media influencers in the DMV. I was looking forward to this experience, especially with the high price tag. Other than 'unlimited' crab legs, I found myself a little confused about what made this brunch spread different from all the others. Shrimp/ grits, waffle station, Mac cheese ...very standard. So while the experience wasn't bad, it was standard dc brunch with nothing particular that stood out or memorable. I was here for a private bday party in the back room-- the room was spacious and worked out perfect for the birthday girl. Our server did her best managing the request of so many guest.

Yelp
I dined at Hen Quarter Prime on its opening night. I ordered the Brussels Sprouts, Shrimp and Grits, Cheesecake, and a Peach Lemon Drop. The shrimp and grits were flavorful! Unfortunately, the entree and dessert took a long time to arrive, but my server was very apologetic. This might have been partly due to it being the first night. The restaurant offers metered street parking nearby, and there's a nice outdoor patio overlooking the water, though I chose to dine indoors due to the humidity. The interior is beautifully decorated and spacious, and I had the chance to tour some of the dedicated event space, which can accommodate up to 80 guests. The staff was hospitable. Overall, my experience was mixed, but the ambiance and service showed promise.

Yelp
The restaurant was a bit hidden but easy to access and plenty of parking. We had Saturday brunch reservations and the service was good. With the bottomless brunch, they allowed us to take a bottle of champagne. There were a ton of food options and we tried just about everything seen in the video - fried chicken, seafood Mac and cheese, eggs, grits, potatoes, shrimp, oysters, red velvet cake, strawberry cake, gumbo, etc. There is a good option for everyone. The decor was really nice too. I liked the touch of cherry blossom trees throughout the restaurant - very DC appropriate. The congratulatory cupcake and candle at the end of our meal was cute as well. Overall, we had a really good experience.

Yelp
Sunday, my son, bae, and I attended the grand opening of Hen Quarter Prime. With 12:30pm reservations, we arrived around 12:45pm. Traffic can be a bit congested in the cul de sac in front of the restaurant, so consider using valet parking. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating. Inside, there's a bar near the entrance and a beautiful waiting area. We were seated about five minutes after checking in. Our waiter greeted us with biscuits and offered water to start, which we accepted. For those following a vegan diet, options are limited to salad and fruit. My son, who has an egg and milk allergy, struggled with the menu. I ordered a Lavender Butterfly cocktail, which was excellent. The buffet featured a variety of food, including made-to-order waffles and omelettes. Unfortunately, the omelette station took so long that we had to request it to go. The prime rib was very rare, with no option for a less rare slice, so I only ate a small portion. The collard greens were my favorite dish. Overall, the variety was good, but I wish there were more vegan options and a clear reference guide on the menu for dietary restrictions. Initially, we were told items marked with a "v" were vegan, but it turned out they were vegetarian. At $75 per person (though it was $50 for the grand opening), the brunch is pricey, especially if you don't eat seafood. The staff was welcoming and attentive. Bobby, the manager, was proactive in addressing complaints, particularly about the slow omelette service. He also handled a situation with another patron waiting for a mac n' cheese replacement very professionally. We didn't see our server for a while and didn't want to bother the already busy management. When we did get her attention, we requested the check and informed her about the omelette issue. We paid through the app. My bf and son waited in the lobby for the omelette, and while I waited for valet to bring our truck around. Despite some issues, I'd return for dinner or happy hour based on the excellent customer service.

Yelp
Once upon a time, there was a clothing store in Northern Virginia named SYM'S. My old school DMV folks will know what I'm talking about..LOL! Their slogan was super catchy and super profound "An educated Consumer is our best Customer" The opposite might be true in this case with Hen Quarter Prime. I literally fell for the banana in the tailpipe. After viewing their IG reel proclaiming to be the next best brunch spot in DC, I went to educate myself on their website. The unlimited brunch menu was extensive and it clearly included unlimited mimosas and Old Fashion's for $70. I thought that was pretty good, considering crab legs were on the menu. Once we were seated and viewed the menu which looked identical to the one on their website, there was one BIG difference. The in store menu had a $29 per person for the unlimited drink option, making our brunch $100 each before tax and tip. Once I brought the deception/discrepancy up to our server, you can tell he had heard this a time or two and quickly asked did we want to speak to a manager.. we declined and just told him to let management know what the deal is! Again, because I'm an educated consumer, the best brunch in the city in my opinion is Sequoia in Georgetown, which includes everything that Hen Quarter Prime has to offer and much more for $90 (With Mimosas and Bellinis). That said, the food was good, definitely above average especially the waffles! Moving right along, you're almost forced to valet because parking is scarce but luckily we were able to find street parking....timing is everything! There is a garage on the side where (The Point) is located but on Sundays something is telling me they have it restricted for regular use because the attendant told us it was full..hmmmmm. Hen Quarter Prime is a beautiful restaurant with a very nice sized outdoor dining area. We concluded it's really not set up for a brunch buffet because it's a little space where you will bump into somebody if you're not extra careful. I will give Hen Quarter Prime another shot for dinner just to see if my opinion changes because I'm a foodie and love new DC spots I just don't like being deceived :(

Yelp
I treated a friend to Saturday brunch and took advantage of the convenient valet parking. We had an 11 AM reservation and were seated promptly. The restaurant is stunning, amazing views of the waterfront, very well lit, and the service was great. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast! They had a wide variety of seafood options, chicken and waffle station, carving station, etc. The quality and quality of the food was worth the price. I would gladly return to try their dinner service in the future.

Jade J.

Yelp
Two stars only for ambience. My friend and I got the $35 bubbles and birds deal. When I tell you the chicken lacked serious flavor. It was so bad that my friend and I could only eat it when we sprinkled salt on every bite. Mac and cheese was watery and lacked flavor as well. It's such a beautiful venue, I appreciate whoever curated and designed the restaurant. It is right by the water which is a plus. I am shocked there are good reviews regarding the chicken. It was the blandest chicken I have ever had. Please Hen Quarter, there is so much potential but consider changing the recipe for the chicken and mac.

Yelp
Decided to visit for dinner. Our food was pretty good; service even better. I liked how they really paid attention to details after we advised of a food allergy. They ensured the food items were prepared separately and had 2 waiters bring the meals to our table.

Yelp
Still sitting here presently, wrapping up this chapter in my book and my drink. Fantastic ambiance and playlist- the music was a vibe! throughly enjoyed my food here the service was fantastic, shout out to Cory for being on top of it! Really enjoyed the crab legs too! only recommendation: I ordered a naked and famous and yall were missing one of the three ingredients. expand your bar to accommodate for drinks outside of the bourbon ones considering DC is such a tequila heavy city. That aside, good job guys. Thanks for a chill sunday!

Yelp
Having been to quite a few brunches in the city, I have to admit that this one didn't nearly give me bang for the buck. At a staggering $70 for the buffet and an additional $29 for mimosas and friends (mix and match mimosas, old fashioned, wines and drafts) I was underwhelmed. There was a decent assortment of options, from prime rib (which was a little dry in some cuts), ham, shrimp cocktail to deviled eggs, waffle station, gumbo, snow crab legs (that seemed overcooked), oysters (now those were big), mussels (plain), bacon that had crumbled so I had to pick pieces at one point, fried chicken (perfectly crispy, but the flavor didn't make it to the meat), collard greens, green bean casserole, omelets to order, desserts and the Mac and cheese was lacking in flavor. It was quite busy in there and it seemed like everyone was celebrating a birthday. It gave me basic buffet, not $70 premium. The best part about the experience was Tia, who was a great waitress. Even though it was busy she always found her way back to us to make sure we had what we needed. Given my experience, there are plenty of better positioned brunches in the city.

Yelp
The food was OK. We ate super early on a Thursday (around 5:00) so that was good. We sat in the bar area. The service was good there. I got the rib eye with the additional sauces on the side. The portion of the sauces was much too big. Collard greens were good. The fried chicken was terrible. Too much breading!

Yelp
Visited on a Sunday for brunch! Corey was our server, he was extremely attentive and anticipated our needs. All of the food was fresh and constantly refilled & stirred. Definitely worth the price with the cold seafood bar and even the Mac and cheese was decent. I will return with friends for sure.

Yelp
I have been a fan of Hen Quarter for years. I finally tried Hen Quarter Prime for the forest time yesterday! And absolutely loved the decor, the staff were so welcoming and attentive. We had an assortment of items, the food was presentable and delicious! Get the cornbread! Drinks were A-1. Our waiter Kamar (sp?) was the bomb.com. My family and I will be retuning!

Yelp
Food was good, crab legs are really small and although they do offer a cracker, they don't have picks for the crab. Shrimp was tasty, desert was good, chicken was excellent. Mimosas are made with cheap Brut champagne. AND, the parking will absolutely rip you off! Costs $50 to park in the garage--there is no street parking available because it is always full. Although they offer parking validation, it is useless if you stay past two hours. Not recommended!

Yelp
A great vibe for New Years Day brunch! The band was Dope, our server Ayanna was attentive and friendly, and the food were worth the visit! We enjoyed spending our anniversary here!

Yelp
A friend and I were invited for the ribbon cutting and what a grand event it was ! The restaurant itself was very beautiful inside and I love the outdoor patio. The cocktails were not lacking and the food was absolutely delicious. The fried chicken was my fav. It was perfectly seasoned and fried. I like how they now have included a dinner Buffett with lots of options. I will definitely be returning soon !

Yelp
Great food excellent service. There were five of us and every entree was great. Staff was attentive and had it together. Only issue was that parking in area is tough. But you want to ride share anyway so you can have cocktails.

Yelp
Dining here now for New Year's Eve and I don't know where to start. Firstly, arrived for a 9:30 rez and didn't get seated until after 10. The manager Bob tried to make it up to us by sitting us in one of the private dining rooms, but doing so caused our waiter Cornell to forget that we existed. Would not recommend.

Yelp
We had a fairly decent experience when visiting Hen Quarter Prime for brunch. To begin, the restaurant itself is nice! It's new and has modern style decor which I found to be comfortable. The restaurant is located on the water on a quiet back street which seems like it would be very nice for outdoor dining during the warmer months. We visited on a Saturday with a reservation and had been seated immediately. Some time had passed before a waitress came over but she was very friendly. During brunch they offer a bottomless buffet for $70 per person and you can add on bottomless drinks (mimosas, old fashioneds, wine, and beer) for $29. I found the drinks to be tasty and they are generous with the sparkling wine! As for the food, I wish all of the items weren't served buffet style because of the back and forth and the temperature of the food. For example, the oysters were on ice but they tasted room temperature. You have the option to order omelet's but everything else on the menu is at the buffet. Most items that I tried were good like the deviled eggs, macaroni & cheese, crab legs, and shrimp. The prime rib and fried chicken are decent. I was told that the waffles are good too. The biscuits are dry but the whipped honey butter is delicious! Unfortunately, I wasn't really impressed by this restaurant. However, if you're celebrating a birthday or have a large party where a flat price is easier, this may be a decent option.

Yelp
Came for the brunch. Very good all around from the service to the food and drinks. Great atmosphere. Manager was attentive and I even saw her ensuring the buffet area stayed clean. At times cleaning up herself. I don't leave many reviews but one was needed here.

Yelp
I came here for a birthday outing with my friend. It was fun. The drinks were great. We got mimosas for the table and I am extra I got the peachy lemon drop and the river margarita and I was not disappointed. Those drinks were great. Z was our server and she was a delight the entire service that afternoon. I'd come back just to have her as my server. The ambiance of this place was beautiful. I was expecting it to be so grand and clean compared to its other locations but it's really beautiful. We came during brunch and I wasn't expecting an open buffet/food bar, but the food was actually good and not cold. They do have omelets that are made to order so it's definitely a great option. The desserts were not my favorite, but my top pic would be the lemon cake squares. They were so moist with just the right amount of tartness and sweetness. The only negative I have about the food is the greens were salty like Gloria greens out the can salty. I would like to come back to see how their other menu items were. Z's service was 10/10. We had another waiter that was inspecting our table which wasn't ideal or comfortable. I would ask that to be addressed because it made me and my friend feel uncomfortable. The manager on schedule was nice and polite you can tell she takes pride in her staff. The restaurant does have valet which is $15 dollars and that's cheaper than going to the river point retail garage. Brunch was $79 per person and for bottomless mimosas it's $29

Yelp
Had the pleasure of dinning at Hen Quarter Prime this evening with old friends. The food, the drinks, the ambiance the staff and the did I mention the food?? OMG everything was delicious Jerk Bites, wings (old bay and phoenix rub), deviled eggs, collard greens, catfish and grits. Not one thing was bad. Portion sizes were great and worth the money. Had a great time meeting and speaking with Rob the manager and was very impressed with the selections of bourbons and whiskeys and just his personable manner of sharing about the Thomason Restaurant group. And our server Cam was the BOMB. Every staff member we encountered from the time we walked in until we left was professional, attentive and understood providing top tier customer service. Will definitely go back to taste the bourbons and have Sunday brunch. They also had a great DJ. This is a hidden gem but not for long and you won't regret adding it to your stops when in DC.

Yelp
We had a fabulous dinner here tonight. The ambiance is beautiful - perfect for a date night or night out with friends. Our server August was fabulous. Highly recommend starting off with the brussels sprouts and grilled Carolina jerk bites. For dinner we got the 1/2 bird buttermilk fried chicken, and the gigantic tomahawk for 2 served medium rare. For dessert I highly recommended the crème brûlée and an espresso martini. If you're looking for a fun alcoholic drink get the Hennessy Pineapple Punch for 2. It's huge and they decorated it beautifully! Definitely would come back!

Yelp
This was my first visit at Hen Quarter Prime. Upon entering the restaurant, my party was greeted quickly with a smile, my reservation was acknowledged, and we were seated at once. The overall ambiance, cleanliness, food, and attentive staff, especially Tijuana L, at Hen Quarter Prime, were all great! We were not rushed during our meal, and multiple staff stopped to make sure we were ok. A bonus to our overall experience was the valet parking, who explained the process on arrival and did not keep me waiting when it was time to depart. I would highly recommend this location overall, a 10/10 experience.

Yelp
Excellent food and great service. I would highly recommend the signature fried chicken and skillet cornbread, but everything was delicious!

Yelp
We went there late on a Sunday evening. Ayanna was our server. She was excellent and kept the bottomless old fashioned coming! We had the catfish and grits, half dozen oysters and seafood diavolo. I highly recommend these entrees. I will definitely be back!
