But Hey, Sunshine Kitchen isn’t just the token health food spot among a cluster of cheesy, deep-fried options. It also serves plant-based comfort foods that hold their own against the real thing. The hot chicken sandwich delivers an audible crunch without the weird spongey texture that ruins some meat alternatives, and the smoky “beef” in the tacos tastes like it just came off a charcoal grill. Bowls and salads are light but satisfying, including our favorite with a golden chickpea fritter, a boatload of veggies, and a drizzle of lemon aioli. What an incredible find for not just plant-based eaters and vegans, but delicious food all around for anybody! My friend recommended I swing by here for lunch one day and I couldn't be happier. They serve a variety of bowls, sandwiches, and dessert options with everything clearly marked both online and in-store. I love a good spot where I can customize my own power bowl and they let me do just that. My bowl was a mix of brown rice and greens, with vegan chicken as my protein and a combination of various toppings with a jalapeno dressing. The end result was this incredibly filling bowl that was healthy, filling, and delicious. It could've been two servings but I just enjoyed it so much for it to last more than one sitting. I also got a side of their mac n cheese and it was fabulous. Very creamy without that synthetic cheese taste that you often find in vegan cheeses. It was the perfect accompaniment to my bowl. Ordering online was easy and pickup was a breeze. The staff were so friendly and thanked me for choosing them. No, thank YOU for an incredible meal that really tasted and felt like it was made with love and care. If you're dining in, they have seating inside as well as patio tables/chairs.

Hey Sunshine Kitchen is a gem in Culver City, Los Angeles. The owners have been cooking vegan for many years and now opened a fast-food vegan restaurant. But it is not any vegan fast-food restaurant. All the items in the menu are aligned with the concept of a whole food plant-based diet deliciously served with home developed sauces! So you can rest assured that you are not eating at any Vegan place. In Hey Sunshine you are eating well and promoting your own health, in addition to the planet and the animals! So thank you 🙏 for opening this fantastic place!

Just wow. Decided to give this place a try since I needed a meal before the gym. Had no idea this place was vegan and let me tell you. If you don’t try, you are missing out. Everything was seasoned perfectly, the food at perfect temp. I’m not a social person so ordering at the self-order machine is so genius! The owner was so kind and offered a sample of their Mac and cheese. Amazing service and food, feeling welcomed makes the experience better. Even if you aren’t vegan, you will love this place!

Yesterday was my first time visiting and I’m glad I went. I ordered 1 vegan taco and Mac and Cheese. The cashier or server at the time suggested that I get two tacos (which I wanted), but I wasn’t able to purchase it because I had lost my job and couldn’t afford more at the moment. After hearing this I received my order and a free cookie from Heather and felt seen and loved in that moment. She had no idea I wanted a cookie lol and she blessed me with it without knowing. I pray that Jesus opens doors for both her and her sister. Feeling led to say that 3 more stores will open in Jesus name totaling 4 locations. Thank you again for your kindness. 🤍🤍

So happy to have run into this restaurant while in the shopping center! The menu is so attracting, and customer service was great! My food to go did not disappoint at all… got the Mediterranean Chickpea bowl… delicious and healthy! I took their catering menu so I can order for our next staff lunch meeting but also share with our pharmaceutical reps who often order lunch for us! 5 stars!!! I will be back…. My new lunch place while at work!!

Hey Sunshine is hands down the best vegan food in LA—I drive from Manhattan Beach just to eat here. If I had to pick one restaurant to eat at for the rest of my life, this would be it. The Avocado Crunch and Chickpea Nuggets (especially with the Pistachio Caesar dressing) were next-level good. Every bite was perfectly balanced, flavorful, and just downright satisfying. It’s rare to find vegan food that feels this fresh and thoughtful. Everything is super fresh, non-GMO, and made with such high-quality ingredients—you can taste the difference. Beyond the food, the atmosphere is just as great. It’s bright, welcoming, and has this effortless charm—like hanging out at your cool sister’s house. It’s the perfect spot to meet for lunch, and I’m already planning to cater my best friend’s birthday party with their food. What makes it even more special is the women who own it—you can tell they pour their heart and soul into this place. Every element, from the menu to the vibe, is filled with their love and intention. If you haven’t been yet, go. You won’t regret it.

The food was really good I had the beef taco. I do wish it had a double tortilla just because it was supper full which is great I would just prefer two. The Mac and cheese was really good I would just prefer a bit more salt. The cookie was really good and they had plenty of parking because it’s in a shopping center! Overall it was good. I went back and tried the chicken nuggets, the crispy hot chicken sandwich and the strawberry pop. The chicken nuggets were not good at all the hot chicken sandwich was good and the pop was good it’s just the wicked brand which I wish I knew before buying.
