OMG 😲 this place offers some pretty tasty and hardy plant based vegan foods. My first impression was that they pay attention to the fine details, from how they greet you, to how your meals comes out. If your in west LA near Culver city, apply no further. At Hey, Sunshine Kitchen we got to enjoy fresh fruit beverages, Jackfruit pulled pork style sandwiches. The mac and cheese was fanominal, you just can't pass it up. We also tried the bowl you get to custom build to your likeness.

Such good, fresh and fast vegan food. Non-vegans enjoyed it as well. Seating options inside and out. Staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back the next time we’re in Culver City.

Wow I have been coming here for so long that I can’t believe I forgot to leave a review! This is my number 1 vegan spot in LA. Not only is the food made fresh everyday, the ingredients used feel super clean! I love making my own bowl but honestly there isn’t an item on this menu that you can get and say something bad about. Heather and Jenny are just the sweetest and their staff embodies their energy and makes the atmosphere wonderful to be in. I even almost worked there myself just because the food and vibes were so good. Also, the food is consistently good. Do yourself a favor and go get some Hey Sunshine!

Hey Sunshine is such a gem. Heather and Jenny are honestly the sweetest people!! You can really tell they really care about what they do and about every person who walks through the door! Sadly this is something that gets increasingly rare with other places so being there always makes me feel so happy ☺️ The food is healthy and delicious. Everything is made with love and with high quality ingredients. One of those places that leave your body & soul feeling good long after the visit 🥰🥰

For a casual vegan meal, this place is really special. We got a LOT of different dishes as a group, because we wanted to try so many different things, and each thing was better than the next! Special shoutouts to the seasoned beef tacos, the Mac & Cheese, and any of the bowls. Even a friend who grabbed the leftovers out of our fridge later raved about them! Service attentive and friendly beyond our expectations.

The food and service was remarkable! I landed in LAX after a 5 hour flight hungry. I googled nearest plant based restaurants and Hey Sunshine did not disappoint! Arriving around lunchtime, they were busy but still took time to greet me, welcome me, make suggestions and also serve me (dine in). I had the Jackfruit BBQ sandwich and beef tacos. Both were seasoned well and filling! If my stomach had any more room, I would have opted for dessert!

What an incredible find for not just plant-based eaters and vegans, but delicious food all around for anybody! My friend recommended I swing by here for lunch one day and I couldn't be happier. They serve a variety of bowls, sandwiches, and dessert options with everything clearly marked both online and in-store. I love a good spot where I can customize my own power bowl and they let me do just that. My bowl was a mix of brown rice and greens, with vegan chicken as my protein and a combination of various toppings with a jalapeno dressing. The end result was this incredibly filling bowl that was healthy, filling, and delicious. It could've been two servings but I just enjoyed it so much for it to last more than one sitting. I also got a side of their mac n cheese and it was fabulous. Very creamy without that synthetic cheese taste that you often find in vegan cheeses. It was the perfect accompaniment to my bowl. Ordering online was easy and pickup was a breeze. The staff were so friendly and thanked me for choosing them. No, thank YOU for an incredible meal that really tasted and felt like it was made with love and care. If you're dining in, they have seating inside as well as patio tables/chairs.

At first I was skeptical because is this place "just bowls?"' The parking lot was moderately full but I was able to snag a spot and the staff was so kind. The color scheme inside makes me happy. There's an iPad to order from or you can from a live person. I ordered the tofu wings which remind me of Burmese tofu. The breading is so good and fine - and it's gluten free! I built my own bbq tofu bowl and it was so delicious. I liked the pickled red onion and the tofu wasn't too salty. It feels healthy, satisfying, and filling. I wish I lived closer. The strawberry lemonade was a favorite among my kids too!

My Fiancé has been vegan for 12 yrs and has always had trouble finding good vegan spots or good food places for her to enjoy herself . When she found out they serve jackfruit she got so exited so we came in a little skeptical and came out super happy . The food was so good and well seasoned . The ambiance was amazing and customer service was very welcoming as well . Definitely would come again we need to try the whole menu ! 10/10 I had the fiesta carnitas which was very good I got it with half/half . Just the right amount of crunchiness and deliciousness. My Fiance had the BbQ jackfruit sandwich . Thank you for this place you'll be seeing us again !

Went here with a friend who recommended it, because of one of the employees. A nice young man named Andrew, dude rocks. My wife and I have certain food allergies, Andrew was able to recommend a plethora of items at HSK we could eat. I'm a Carnivore, but I took a chance at the Vegan world, and what was on the menu, actually impressed me. The employees were quite happy to greet you thru the door, the ambience here was calm and quiet, not too loud. It's a bit cramped though. Kind of reminds me of dorm room kitchens. Tiny and unimpressive. The decor left something to be desired. Seriously, I was most impressed with Andrew, guy seems like he's got things together, better than 90% of the food people I see today. If this is a franchise, I'd expect him to be the owner, not the 2 sisters. I saw hide nor hair of them. Thanks for the care you gave my wife and I with our allergies Andrew, fricken amazing!

I ordered the Mediterranean chickpea bowl on my most recent visit and it was just as amazing as I remembered! I loved the texture of the "chickpea burger" pieces and the veggies were so fresh and crisp. The sunshine rice was perfectly seasoned too. The dressing really takes the dish over the top in being so rich, savory and creamy with its own lovely flavor to really enhance the bowl. The service was so friendly despite that they were busy. The seating inside and outside is both so cozy. The restaurant has such a lovely vibe and is so clean. The parking lot can be a bit tricky during lunchtime, but thankfully there were a couple of spots available when I arrived.

This is such a great spot for a hearty and healthy meal, whether you're vegan or not. The portions are large and filling, and every ingredient is so fresh and pairs well together. I made my own bowl with the beef crumble and pistachio dressing, because a lot of the reviews mentioned those as their favorites, and it did not disappoint. Also, the sweet potato fries are delicious! I love that this spot has parking, although the lot is always busy, and service is really great too!

LOVE the vegan concept, LOVE the people running it, and LOOOVE the Mediterranean Chickpea Burger. Words can't describe how perfectly flavorful this burger is... the chickpea patty is crispy on the outside, softer on the inside; coleslaw is fresh and crisp; mint leaves add sooo much flavor; burger bun is super satisfying. I don't know what else they put into this burger but every bite = pure bliss. Conveniently located with plenty of parking outside, and lovely indoor & outdoor seating. We usually get our food to go, and the packaging is very professional. Service is always quick and efficient. What makes me truly happy is the happy faces of the owners (when we enter the restaurant and are greeted by them) and how involved they are in the running of their restaurant. This is a place with so much HEART. Let's all do our part to support it!

This place is my fixation right now! It's SOO SOO good! If I could rate it more than 5 stars I would! They have so many selections here, like warm bowls & salads, sandwiches, tacos, sides, & desserts! My go to bowl (~$15) is: Sunshine rice with beef crumble, cauliflower, broccoli, sweet potatoes, shoe string onions, cucumber, corn, & pistachio Caesar dressing! I believe their beef crumble is made with beyond meat, so you know its yummyyy! I've also tried the jackfruit carnitas my first time here & it's delicious as well! I legit can't even tell it's jack fruit! If you're open to trying new plant based foods, sunshine is the best place to try it because everything they make is so so good. I can't stress that enough! Service is always so welcoming, friendly, and so attentive! They always check up on you & make sure everything's going well or if you have any questions! Ambiance is great and homey! Lots of indoor/outdoor, & accessibility seating

The bowl was so amazing! The sandwiches were surprisingly bland, but the hot chicken one was was okay. It has a really cute ambiance and the service was not bad, they did forget a couple of things and bring us the wrong order originally (but trying not to hold that against them since they seemed to get busy right after we got there). We did the build your own bowl and I loved it! (It was on the dry side, so we did add a lot of sauce and hot sauce). Personally, we did not like the Barbeque Jackfruit Sandwich, I would avoid that and try something else. Food: 4/5 Service: 3/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Value: 3/5 Overall: 3.5/5

What a refreshing, vibrant restaurant!! The food captured complex flavors and is so fresh. We tried two bowls that had so many perfect flavor combinations. The nuggets are kid (and adult) favorites. The cookie tasted like homemade comfort, and we loved the lemonade flavors. No notes. Great flavors, great food, great service. You have to try it, lives up to its sunny name!

The food is really tasty and clean, I enjoy it every time. I prefer to make my own bowl and I do the tofu with corn, broccoli, beets, black beans and other veggies. Visiting from out of town and stopped by this place for a quick lunch. SO DELICIOUS!!! I ordered the Mediterranean chickpea bowl with extra bbq tofu and it was so tasty, healthy, and the dressing was amazing. Service was all smiles, quick and friendly. Atmosphere was happy and relaxed. Perfect for a quick healthy meal! Will be back for dinner :D

To my taste, the vegan "meats" were bland, nothing noteworthy. Bottom line, you cannot create flavor by adding sauces on top of a bowl, or by a colorful bevy of accoutrements like sweet corn/red cabbage/pickled onion/lettuce. I can always tell when the cooking process has used marinading, roasting, caramelization, or slow-cooking to lock in flavor from sauces that would add depth of taste to vegan meats made from whatever --whether "jackfruit fiber", chickpeas, "heart of palm" or "textured soy proten"--that are literally tasteless on their own. The bowls were less than exciting to me. This seems like another vegan fast food modeled on emulating a meat-based bowl by replacing the non-meat products. To my taste, the best vegan food is drawn from cultural knowledge honed over time with specific local ingredients, in specific combinations of meals, and eaten in specific ways. This place's offerings fall flat for me. Their base target customer probably has a more bland American palate. Appeal to the eye with aesthetic arrangements of colorful ingredients doesn't cut it for me. I wonder who is writing these hyped reviews that caused me to trek to this casual eatery in a non-descript parking lot with semi-chaotic parking.

y second Trip to this place . The jackfruit tacos are one my favorites. I ordered two and was pretty filling was fresh clean and healthy. The vinegar level was bit on higher side for me I would have them not put pickled onions next time and replace . Will be back soon

I first discovered this business at a tasting hosted through a Yelp event at the Alcott center. It is a place for mental health or counseling. Any who. This business had a booth with a line of eager people shocked by the goodness of vegan food. She had mac and cheese, chicken salad and some sauces. Everything was crazy good! I couldn't believe it was vegan. I took her card and eventually went to the business and bought some food. The location was clean and everyonr had a smile. The sister of the owner was at the front and she was too sweet! Loved the presence of the restaurant and the various options in vegan form. Unfortunately, the food tasted straight vegan! There were notes of carrots in the mac and cheese and I got a little flavor. The chicken salad was not good. I took off the fake chicken pieces and salvaged the salad with just greenery and a dressing. I was convinced at the yelp event but when I tried the business, it just confirmed some vegan places are not for me. But if you are vegan, please check it out and let me know!

There needs to be an option for 6 stars. I just want to thank the team over at Hey, Sunshine Kitchen. Food and service was simply out of this world. We had catered lunch for about 40 people and it was just great from the ordering process to the first bite. Def glad to celebrate the sister duo who owns it, will be back in person soon!

I had been wanting to visit this restaurant for some time but didn't get around to it until recently when I had family in town. We walked in to a smiling and inviting face, Heather, the owner! Not only was she smiling but all of the workers were as well. It was a great vibe all around! So here's the rundown: Location: within a large shopping my center in Culver City Parking: ample, free parking Ordering: at register or via kiosk Prices: very affordable Menu: sandwiches, salads, sides, cookies/brownies, kids menu, drinks that are all heathy vegan options and no fake highly processed meats Service: this is where they stand out! EVERYONE seemed happy to be there, unlike many places nowadays where the workers seem so annoyed to be there and even say hello to a customer. When we were leaving, multiple employees said bye and have a great day. Wow!! Taste/quality: another area where they stand out! Great and yummy! Fresh and healthy, but the good tasting healthy food haha Overall: it's a win! I love their take on chicken nuggets...chickpea nuggets. Delicious!

I came in for a quick drink while working on some stuff on my laptop. Comfy pillows to sit and work on, I'm mainly writing abt the strawberry mint lemonade, holy moly, I know lemonade is so simple but it was amazing here. I'll order 3 of them next time just for me! Can't imagine how the bowls must taste but will find out soon!

It was my first time having a meal at HSK but I'm glad I did! When I used to live in LA, I used to love finding all the vegan spots and making my way around the city visiting them all. In my six years in the city, some found sustained success while others shut their doors, but with LA having such a high density of foodie creatives and high food entrepreneurial spirit, I always knew there would be a new place to check out soon enough. I'm not sure how long HSK has been around, but a quick search in Google Maps for 'vegan' helped me locate this West LA establishment. I came by 1.5 hour before closing. My eyes immediately gravitated toward the "hot chicken" sandwich on the menu, which of course was made with plant-based products. I also grabbed a raspberry lemon cake for dessert, but waited to eat it since I wanted to savor the sandwich first! There was a delay with my sandwich, which felt longer than it really was only because I was incredibly hungry. I was offered a side or drink on the house, which I gratefully and gladly accepted. When I asked for the coleslaw, I was given a generous portion in a bowl. Soon after getting through that, my sandwich arrived piping hot---both in temperature and flavor! It was packed with vegan mayo, the plant based chicken crisped, spiced, and HOT, pickle, cheese and two fluffy, crisp buns. When I got around to trying my dessert, it was literally gone within 4 bites! It was a small square of a dessert, and somewhat bland in flavor, but it sufficiently satisfied my sweet tooth. I also appreciate the price point of the meal---was not expensive relatively speaking, compared to other dining choice in LA. It definitely is more fast casual than anything else, but it offers such a variety in vegan food!

Because I moved to Culver City at the beginning of 2025, and because I need some new luggage, I am happy to have been recommended by H. Savinar Luggage Company the Hey, Sunshine Kitchen. According to the H. Savinar Luggage, Hey, Sunshine Kitchen is the #1 vegan restaurant in Los Angeles County. Given the size and density of LA County, that speaks volumes. So, I walked across the street to check them out. Hey, Sunshine Kitchen is a great place. The 2 sisters who own Hey, Sunshine Kitchen, Heather and Jennifer, have managed to create good tasting, colorful choices in food and beverage. The ambiance in this small eatery is also welcoming. And the waiters seem to really care about what they are serving. I will be back after my trip. - Zoey

Sooo good! Stopped by today for the first time on my way home (easy drive off the freeway) and wow was I pleasantly surprised! This place has a similar vibe to Veggie Grill but in my humble opinion, MUCH tastier! We got the Mediterranean chickpea sandwich, crispy chicken sandwich, sweet potato fries, ranch dressing and wild blueberry lemonade. Everything is fire and super duper tasty!!! We eat at a LOT of vegan/vegetarian places, in LA and everywhere else, and dare I say this was the best crispy chicken sandwich I've had yet!! Also, shoutout to Jose who made our first time extra special and welcoming! We were also happy to take a cookie to go, and pick up some wildflower seeds to pollinate our garden! A+ highly recommend. I've ordered a few times from here and everything I've tried I've thoroughly enjoyed. I haven't tried dining in, but can only imagine the food being that much better when served fresh. The chicken sandwich and Burger are my favorite things. The salads are also filling and flavorful. The service for pick up has always been nice and they all seem happy they are working there. Seating seems to be mainly outdoors and shaded. Parking can sometimes be full, but This is one of those places worth going out of your way for.

I usually find chicken substitute to be not the best texture. However, this place I could barely tell it was not real chicken! From the fried chicken sandwich to the build your own bowl with grilled chicken, everything was delicious. Food came out fast and I like the ambience. Will return!

I love finding restaurants that can make healthy food taste good! We ordered the Mediterranean Chickpea bowl & the Avocado Crunch bowl. I liked the Mediterranean bowl more - the creamy sauce really ties everything together & the combination was delicious. The Avocado Crunch bowl's sauce was a little more tart/sour so I didn't like it as much personally, although it tasted more refreshing. The Macaroni Salad was yummy too! There's not a lot of seating indoors, but luckily the weather was nice outside & there was plenty of room on the patio. Workers are friendly & there's a self-order kiosk too for those that prefer it. The bowls were both very filling (I saved half for lunch the next day) & it tasted great still. We really wish we lived closer because we would order this every week.

More mike 3.7 stars A coworker came across this place and told me about it. I stopped in the next day. Ordered the chickpea sandwich and sweet potatoe fries. Overall it was decent. I didn't really care for the texture of the sandwich but it was still edible. Service was good and quick. I'll definitely go back, I want to try the jackfruit tacos and chicken sandwich.

My new go to favorite vegetarian restaurant in West LA. Super cute restaurant! Great staff dedicated to clean eating. Loved the menu, the vibe and the food is Amazing. I ordered the beef crumble bowl with cilantro, sweet potato cauliflower and with incredible ranch dressing. Everything was delicious and healthy. !

This is a delicious place. I had their Mac and Cheese, and Chickpea Nuggets, they are so good! The place is small, but has a good ambiance. Staff are very nice and service is spot on. If you have a Local by Toast app, you can order food from there and rack up rewards points to get good deals, highly worth it!

Not sure how this place got a 4.9 on UberEats. We ordered a number of items for delivery and it was a disaster. Hopefully we can get a refund. The fries were both cold and strewn all over inside the carry bag. How they don't know to put them into a sealable container for delivery instead of a French fry paper bag is beyond me. Soup tasted terrible. Potato salad was a blah and looked like they use from peas and carrots (ick). Macaroni salad wasn't good. The biggest issue was them putting sauce on the chicken sandwich when requested not too, putting my autistic girlfriend into a meltdown. We won't be ordering from them again.

I'd never even heard of this restaurant before. I'm a vegetarian and I was having lunch with a friend of mine who has a lot of dietary restrictions so we needed to find someplace safe for the both of us. And this was delightful. It is a vegan restaurant so my mac & cheese did not have dairy. I'm not sure what they used to make the mac & cheese but it was really good cause you know sometimes vegan cheese can go all wrong. But this had nice flavor and nice texture and appearance. It has limited seating indoors and then some seating outdoors we sat outside and it's the kind of place where you put the number on your table and they bring your food out. The lady at the counter who took our orders was very very nice and really helpful with my friend and what foods would be safe for her to eat (they probably serve a lot of customers with different food allergies because they had a chart of what was in each dish and things like if there was soy, if there were nuts, etc.). My friend enjoyed her bowl I enjoyed my mac & cheese and roasted broccoli, everything was reasonably priced, and I would definitely come back here again.

I love this place so so so much. I'm not even vegan. Everything is just good. Like super delicious and well flavored. I eat out a lot and am sick of feeling like crap after I eat. You know what I mean? I feel bloated or have a sick aftertaste in my mouth. Not here! Everything is made in house non-GMO & you can taste & FEEL the difference. I treated myself to a birthday lunch here And came back the next day for lunch with my sister I could eat here every day and delivery is fast. Thanks for bringing tasty healthy food to the masses!

Food, service, vibe all 5 stars. Cute lil plant based spot with a parking lot! It is kind of a busy one, but better than street parking. I got the chicken sandwich and it was phenomenal. I am a major omnivore, but you wouldn't miss the meat here. Great texture, fresh veggies, and the best part are the shoestring onions. Nice savory sandwich that very much hit the spot. I will say one thing to know is the sauce is very runny and mixed with juices from the tomato the bottom bun will get soggy from the dripping. I just folded the paper over in the basket so I could set it down on a dry spot. But I'll def be back for this. To drink I did an Arnold Palmer of their mint green tea and the strawberry lemonade. It was very refreshing. Pollinator Monday's! This is what caught my eye most when I saw this place on Instagram. They give away free pollinator friendly plants like the picture of the hummingbird sage I got today. I got there at noon, by the time I left after eating the plants were all taken. So I wouldn't get there much later than that if you hope to get one with your meal. The place is cute, limited indoor seating, but decent outdoor seating some shade, some sun. The people that work there are incredibly friendly. You can tell they make customer service a big part of the restaurant as I heard the cashier address 3 regulars by name. It seemed truly genuine, not some corporate fake nice. Highly recommend this place.

If you have never been and you are seeing this review, you should check it out. Go to spot in the area. Super nice and friendly people. Clean setup. Sometimes they give away random things. Bowls are great. Gluten-free brownies are very tasty. Sweet potato Fries are good Burger is good Kids meals are an amazing deal, nuggets, fries and a drink for $9! Cole slaw is good. Heather and sister own. They used to teach vegan cooking classes. The potato salad tastes just like normal one Kim liked Blueberry lemonade, both that and strawberry mint are good. OK about the Mac and cheese Pistachio Cesar dressing is rich and creamy (good) I didn't care for the BBQ tofu

omg this place is insanely good!! It's decorated super cute and the girl who greeted me at the front was a vibrant ray of sunshine. You can tell she was super happy to be there and passionate about her business. I didn't really expect much because I've had a lot of vegan bowls but WOW their chickpea bowl blew my mind. It was soooo fresh, flavorful, and delicately combined to make each bite so satisfying. The cilantro sauce that came with it was BOMB but the bowl itself was so flavorful, it didn't even need sauce if you want it to be less calories and more simple. I'll definitely be coming back to try the other bowls! I sat outside at their outdoor seating area and it was such a perfect lunch experience.

Heather and Jenny are the sweetest! This place is really a happy place. Today I decided to try their classic cheeseburger, chick pea nuggets with the jalapeño dip and a nice cold wild blueberry lemonade. Everything here including the vibe was incredible. Burger has a delicious flavor to it and so juicy. The cheese is so good and everything fresh.

Limited seating may be an issue around lunch time or meal rush times. Food was filling but I order $50 worth of food and I finished it all. Fish taco was the best out of all the tacos on the menu also sweet potato fries were good flavor and crisp. Staff was nice friendly and helpful staff checked in on us about 3 times. Ambiance was nice for clover city.

I have eaten here twice and I love the build a bowl. I get the fake chicken. It is like bibimbap bc I get a lot of veggies as the toppings. :) I love the outdoor seating, free parking, and have seen limited/special menu items. Located next to a bunch of other eateries too. This place is vegan/vegetarian.

Early this evening I perused my YELP page, scrolling through local restaurant choices super close to home! Plant-based eating has become part of our weekly supper choices. We got 2 Mediterranean Chickpea bowls.. (half rice /half salad )... with a side of chickpea patties. Only thing I would've done differently would to have ordered another selection instead of double chickpeas. Very different... very fresh... very healthy...very filling in a most delicious way... it's super close to my gym which means I will be coming over there regularly... Welcome to my neighborhood!

Cheerful vegan spot with bowl, sandwich, and taco options. On Tuesdays, they have a taco Tuesday deal. I'm not vegan but my friend really enjoys this place for its healthy options, so I was excited to try it. I had a crispy chicken sandwich and added fries (the option is only sweet potato) on the side. There's some seating inside but the pls e primarily seemed to function as a takeout spot. The sandwich was good and you could barely tell that it was vegan. I left feeling very full and happy. Free parking lot available. Credit cards accepted. There's a single occupant restroom inside. You pay first and then receive your order.

Hot chicken burger is a 10!!! Wow. It's the best Berger ever. AMAZING. Chickpea nugget is too salty. Mac and cheese with the crispy onion is fantastic. Good variety of sauces. Can't wait to come back. Service is friendly. The guy at the counter is very nice.

Amazing little vegan cafe. Lots of bright colors and plants around. I even saw a sign that they give guests pollinators to take home on Monday nights! Thanks to the server who steered me right and recommended i get a bowl if i want something filling. I opted to make my own with sunshine (white) rice, beef crumbles, broccoli, cauliflower, red onions, carrots, tortilla strips, cabbage, and ranch dressing and it was amazing all bowls also come with pickled radishes and kale. i also got the spiced hibiscus drink which was very refreshing, sweet and unique. All in all pretty reasonable prices and amazing quality.

If your are vegan or looking for a light meal this is definitely the place! All the food was very tasty, the only complaint was the Mac n' cheese not really tasting that cheesy. One of the glasses tasted of dish soap, but we were able to thankfully get it replaced. If you go here I would definitely recommend getting one of their bowls and a drink as both were very good. Other vegan places in my experience overcharge for minimal effort, but hey sunshine is an exception with very reasonable prices! The servers were very friendly and the food arrived quickly. There is both indoor and outdoor seating and can accommodate families despite being directed towards the solo or couple restauranteur. It was very clean and I had no problem with any of the inside or outside. Overall would visit again but wouldn't rave about it.

Can better with a friend and it was a healthy vegan delightful treat. Food was delicious and made me feel good and light. service was very nice. Cashier provided really good information about the menu. Ingredients are super fresh. There was plenty of parking and plenty of seating. Charming little space!

Not a vegan. But Hey, Sunshine Kitchen just served me the best vegan meal that I've ever had. I'll start by saying that Heather is a gem. It's clear that she cares deeply about every ingredient that's served at her fast, casual, healthy restaurant. She also cares deeply about the service. She was very warm, patient, and thoughtful when explaining the various options on the menu. And she was also helpful when offering her recommendations. Let's talk about the product. My build your own bowl was phenomenal. I could not believe that I was eating plant based foods. The "chicken" was moist, hearty, and flavorful. As was the "beef!" Everything else was crisp, fresh, and tasty too. My wife said she'd eat here every single day if she could. I understand why this place is so highly rated. HSK is without a doubt, a 5-star spot.

Every time I walk into Hey, Sunshine I instantly feel a little happier. The big windows allow for plenty of natural light and the seating area has a very cheery feeling with the blue benches and bright sunny yellow pillows. There's also a lot of real plants, so the whole vibe of the restaurant is very welcoming and happy feeling and the staff just adds to the experience. I usually get the Mediterranean Chickpea Bowl which is PHENOMENAL! It's always so fresh tasting and a good healthy pre-workout meal. I also really recommend their sweet potato fries which come with a sauce that's house made. I usually get the ranch and you wouldn't know it's vegan just by tasting it. Only bad thing about Hey, Sunshine, which is not their fault at all, is that they are located in a very busy shopping center so the parking lot tends to get EXTREMELY chaotic. While I personally eat meat, I always appreciate good vegan food and Hey, Sunshine is sure to have something that everyone will enjoy!

The side soup, bbq tofu bowl half rice half salad, kids mac and cheese with broccoli, buger, and drinks were all good. The drinks weren't too sugary and the hibiscus drink was especially good and uniquely spiced. I would go here again!

The cutest place, great food, great service. My first time here and I will be back. Heather was great. The food feels homemade in a professional way, which is hard to find when eating out.
