Austin Bakery Quack’s Makes Moo Deng Cookies | Eater Austin

"An eighth-floor hotel bar serving cocktails and European-leaning snacks—examples include whipped herbed ricotta with honey and warm bread—opened alongside the hotel's new restaurant on September 27; it offers extended weekend hours and a rotating drinks program under the guidance of the newly installed leadership team tied to the hotel's food-and-beverage relaunch." - Nadia Chaudhury

Went for their St. Patrick's celebration The views are spectacular with alot of patio seating. Worth a visit for a chill cocktail night with friedns. The Mexican martini was perfection and I definitely recommend. The popcorn and chips are delicious. Could've used more bread as we had leftover feta dip. Great Saturday night.

This is a nice place to visit. My wife and I came here several times in May during the ATX TV Festival season 14. The staff there were all very polite and professional - attentive to the many guests there. The food served was excellent - mostly nice hors d'oeuvres. The shake some nice cocktails also. Overall a nice experience.

I made a reservation for my birthday for a large group. When I showed up, the staff had no idea we had a reservation. We saw much of the space closed off for an engagement party. I made my reservation with the event manager Marcos Lopez six weeks in advance. We exchanged several emails nailing down the details. He ensured we’d have our own space and we’d be able to go inside and onto the rooftop. Marcos was on site and when he made his way up to Heydey, he told the staff we had a reservation. He reassured us we would have our own section on the rooftop - the “barrier” they set up did nothing and we were shoulder to shoulder with the engagement party. Marcos also assured us he and another manager named Jason Small would be around in case we needed anything. We never saw them since. The least his team could do is check in on us considering the situation. Heydey double booked us and management did not own up to their mistake. They did nothing to make sure we were accommodated, nor did they offer to compensate us for the inconvenience. The bar staff are great and so are the views - however, management has single-handed ruined this experience. Don’t make our mistake and take your friends elsewhere.

I hosted my fiancé’s 38th birthday at Heydey in Austin this past Saturday with a reservation for a private event for 15 guests. When we arrived, we were surprised to find that the space had been double-booked...with an engagement party of 50 people occupying the same area. The venue was clearly unprepared to accommodate both groups. Our party was squeezed into a small corner with barely a table and a half. The manager was kind, but showed no concern, offered no apology, and took no responsibility for the mix-up. Despite “ropes” meant to separate the groups, they were ineffective, and the larger event quickly overtook the space. I want to acknowledge that the bartenders, wait staff, and servers were absolutely phenomenal. We had limited space to sit on the rooftop, no real space to celebrate, and no acknowledgment of the disruption. There was no compensation, no communication, and no accountability; just a disappointing experience that could’ve been avoided with better event management and customer service. Heydey has potential as an Austin event venue, but guests deserve clear communication, basic hospitality, and a plan when things go wrong. Sharing this so others can plan accordingly.

Wanted a spicy marg and they made it superb! They got a great Happy Hour from 3-5pm $10 cocktails on the rooftop.

Excellent food and drinks. The service was incredible! Tons of great gluten free and vegan options - celiac safe!

Ordered for room service and was expecting stereotypical cart with a cloche. No ambience here - just a brown paper bag with cold to room temperature food inside. Beyond the extremely limited menu, I ordered several items from the menu and not a single one was halfway decent. It was the saddest room service I’ve ever ordered

The bartenders and venue were amazing. Would give 5 stars….however, the music was very random, corporate, and feeling forced- maybe some house music, or letting staff pick music would make this the best!

Yelp
This amazing little rooftop bar in the new Hyatt downtown is super cute. Wonderful views of the city, and a great place to see the sunset. Large outdoor patio (no heat lamps yet). Delicious and affordable apps with happy hour pricing available. The bar was filled with hotel guests inside & out. There were some brogrammers there for work and some tourists. Great place for leave groups. Service was great, and they have adorable utensils that bring character to the place. The decor is swanky and relaxed. This would be a wonderful spot to rent out for a very special event, like a reception, Longhorn game, reunion, etc.

Yelp
Charming rooftop which had stunning views of downtown Austin! The atmosphere was intimate, making it an ideal place for a date night or just to unwind. Sipping a cocktail while watching the sunset was the perfect escape, after a long week of work. Absolutely worth the visit!

Yelp
This new rooftop bar in downtown Austin is such a vibe! It has stunning views of the city and a fun, beautifully decorated interior. The cocktails were delicious and the small plates were nothing short of exceptional. Specifically the whipped ricotta & steak tartare were chef's kiss, but can't go wrong with any option on the menu. The service was great with friendly, attentive staff. This is the perfect spot for a date night, girls night, or happy hour. Will definitely be back!
