Higher Ground

I recently visited Higher Ground and was quite impressed with the venue’s stunning design and atmosphere. The space is beautifully styled with high ceilings, natural light, and thoughtful details that create a relaxed yet sophisticated vibe—perfect for catching up with friends or enjoying a quiet moment. While the ambience was a definite highlight, I found the drinks to be a bit underwhelming for the price point. The menu has a good variety, but the flavours didn’t quite meet expectations, especially considering the premium cost. Overall, it’s a lovely spot to enjoy the surroundings and the aesthetic, though I’d personally return more for the setting than the beverages.

A lovely place to sit down, relax, and enjoy the industrial design and warm vibe. The staff made great food recommendations — everything we tried was delicious. The coffee was also excellent. Highly recommend!

Went here for brunch with my partner. We did not have booking so we waited for 30min to be seated. The staff are amazing, attentive and accommodating. Place was packed for a weekday, this place is really famous especially to tourists as there were heaps of suitcases in the front. We ordered the Wagyu Brisket and Cheeseburger. It was so good! The name cheeseburger does not do justice on how juice the patty is! The only downside is - its a bit noisy in here probably because of the loud music and when place is packed, people tend to speak louder. Will definitely come back but would not recommend for families with small kids.

When you eat out as often as I do, it's rare to be genuinely impressed and overwhelmed. But this place is truly impressive and overwhelming, and is a true 5/5! When I first got the hotcakes, I thought maybe there was too much going on in the plate. But WOW every single ingredient complemented each other and made the hotcakes taste absolutely amazing! The coffee was fantastic too! Interior design of the place is quirky and ambient. Can't recommend this place enough! I'll definitely be back!

The high ceiling adds a mysterious and unique atmosphere to the place. The waitress seemed quite busy, so I wouldn’t say the service felt particularly warm or personal. The food was pretty good overall — though the pancake was a bit too sweet for my taste, so I couldn’t finish it. The ricotta cheese was fresh and delicious. It’s conveniently located right across from the airport bus stop, and it’s fun to watch the chefs busily working in the open kitchen. Overall, I’d recommend it!

Came here after reading many reviews recommending this place, and was so eager and hungry for a delicious brunch. However, the overall experience was a bit underwhelming. I tried the pretzel egg dish—it was seasoned well, but the pretzel was a bit tough and difficult to eat, and it only came with one single overly cooked poached egg, which I didn’t expect, especially paying over $25 for it. I also tried the cheeseburger, which was above average but very heavy on the pickles, and the side of fries was quite small. For dessert, we chose the hot cake, and it was an absolute hit with the coffee. The service was average and a bit slow, but the servers were nice and welcoming. Overall, a decent experience—will definitely try to give it another chance and come back to try other dishes.

All the staff at Higher Ground were so friendly and kind, but a special shoutout to Liv who went above and beyond to make sure we were well looked after. She checked in on us multiple times throughout our visit, and even made the effort to say goodbye and let us know her shift was over, such a lovely personal touch! It’s rare to see customer service that genuine these days. The food was absolutely delicious with generous portion sizes, and the atmosphere was beautiful. We sat upstairs and had the best views. Such a perfect spot to enjoy a meal. Highly recommend! ✨

This cafe became so popular because of Instagram popularity but it doesn’t reflect their food. Overall atmosphere is alright. Food was nice presentation. We ordered pancake and chili omelet. Bread was super hard to cut. Pancake was nice soft but nothing special. We asked pancake syrup on the side instead of poured after read many comments about too Sweet feed back. Staff was very friendly.
