Highline Pizzeria

There is nothing special about this pizza. If you’re hungry and need a quick slice off the highline, then this is an option. I did enjoy the thin crust (ordered a cheese slice). This place is pretty small too.

Pretty good pizza, especially for this part of town where pizza parlors are scarce. About $5 on average per slice. Cheese is on par with Joe’s, I think. But the chicken parm was pretty damn good. Love the crispy crust from the ‘re-bake’. And they have some seats out front (none inside).

Visit: July 2024 The first NY slice I've had. It was pretty good! The base and crust were nice and crispy. Got the chicken parm slice. Would have liked a bit more chicken though

Pizza was pretty good and would definitely recommend if you’re in the High Line area.

I got a slice of grandma pizza for snack before taking a walk on High Line. (5usd ish) Good quick grab!

Pizza used to the saving grace of this tiny shoebox establishment…but even that is no longer adequate. Used to be an older Italian fella making the food and pizza…he’s gone- quality has gone completely down the drain as mentioned in the other reviews. Try Roma pizza

I am a pizza fan, and was so excited to come to New York. We had pizza at several places but my best memory is the Sicilian pizza from Highline Pizzeria! The square pieces and the airy dough are fantastic. Thank you guys!

They tried to charge us $45 for a 3 topping pizza with mushrooms, onions & peppers. $6 per topping...When we realized there was a similar veggie pizza for $33 with 4 toppings they gave us a hard time to get the same price even though wed be getting one veggie topping less and told us thats not how it usually works. We got the pizza and the topping were almost non exisitent. Tiny diced pieces of peppers and onions which was a borderline laughable presentation. Im sure they took out their imaginary percieved "loss" on the customer. Terrible business tactics and we wont be ordering again. It was also extremely doughy and undercooked.

We recently placed a large catering order with Highline Pizza, and I have to say, we are very impressed! The order involved nearly 10 hours of active deliveries, but Nestor was nothing short of amazing. From the start, he was incredibly communicative, keeping us updated every step of the way. His efficiency made the whole process smooth and stress-free. The pizzas themselves were awesome--personal-sized, and even better, they were heart-shaped! Such a fun touch that definitely added a unique flair to our event. Not to mention, the taste was on point. Every single pizza was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what we were hoping for. From the easy ordering process to the timely deliveries and perfect pizzas, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend Highline Pizza for any catering needs. They nailed it!

I did not try the pizza here but the Garlic knots were mini but tasty! The staff working here were nice and friendly. This pizza shop is very small but when you walk in the smell of pizza just is soo good! If you are in the area I would stop in for a slice!

Highline Pizzeria services hot delicious pizza, Staff is busy, yet friendly. The Highline is my favorite place in NYC, Pizzeria is a great high-light!

Solid pizza choice near the high line! We tried a selection: white pizza, pepperoni roll, grandma pizza, and plain. Not the most amazing pizza in my entire life, but everything was very solid. Staff was very friendly and food came up quickly. There were a handful of seats and a small counter outside where we ate. If you're in the area, not a bad stop if you're craving some pizza!

We came here after seeing Sleep No More and needed some food and needed it fast! We ordered pepperoni, cheese and meat lovers. I enjoyed the pepperoni pizza! The sauce wasn't sweet, which I liked. Pepperonis were those normal sized ones but still good. I needed the salt after the work out at Sleep No More. There's some front seating to enjoy the pizza.

Gluten free pizza not good :( Disappointed with the crust. The sauce and cheese were delish.

Pizza used to be good here. Must be new owners the pizza is not even edible. Crust was rock hard. $1 slice spots serve better pizza. You have been warned

I needed a snack one day when I was in the area and grabbed a slice here at Highline. The place is super tiny and cramped, so don't expect to sit down and enjoy a relaxing time. I'd strictly expect to get your slices to go at this pizza joint. I did enjoy seeing painted art along the edges of the walls calling back to the nearby Highline. I ordered a slice with mushrooms on it. Service was good. The guys behind the counter took my order quickly and they had the slice in the oven in moments. I paid, grabbed my slice and headed out. The slice was good. A solid B-, but nothing extraordinary. I wouldn't go out of my way to go there but if I was in the area I wouldn't mind grabbing a slice here either.

Excellent food and even though there wasn't a place to sit inside, they had a place outside and it was fabulous! My cheese pizza was definitely worth the walk from Penn Station and we will be going back!

While attending Scentxplore on West 28th Street where we weren't allowed to bring anything to eat and drink I had spotted this pizzeria. I came here as I was famished. Unfortunately the pizzas didn't look appealing as the crusts looked leaden. I opted for the empanadas. A mistake as the chicken one was dry and so was the ham and cheese. I threw half away. $8+change. Waste of money. On top of this they couldn't give me a cup of water that the majority of pizzerias willingly give with a smile. This pizzeria is small with a counter where two people were sitting. I stood opposite the area where the pizzas were being made as it was drizzling and eating in the rain is not a pleasure. I will not be returning.

Food was good. People working were not. So incredibly rude- there's 100 pizza places. Why go to one with rude staff?

I get that New York doesn't play about their pizza but highline ?? They really don't play the pizza was made to perfection. You pick a slice they pop it in the oven and it's comes out hot with the perfect crunchy thin crust. The cheese is the perfect string ! When you're hungry and want pizza thisss is exactly what you're looking for ! The place was clean limited seats (3) on the inside. There is some outdoor seating as well. The pepperoni and Buffalo chicken pizza were so good. The service www great and quick. Everyone was friendly and efficient. They also didn't skimp on the chicken at all they also give you the option of adding ranch on top and it's worth it

This was my second time having pizza on this week trip right after the boat then the edge this was a perfect slice had the buffalo and white pizza 10/10 100/100 1000/1000

We stopped by here before going to the show Sleep No More, and funnily enough the pizzeria had a mask from the show on their walls. I'm guessing this is a popular spot for folks going to the show! We ordered two slices: one slice of Chicken Cutlet and Broccoli Pizza, and one slice of Pepperoni Sausage Pizza which were both super meaty and satisfying!! The heating of pizza was super quick, and the crust gives you that satisfying crunch. Seating is fairly limited but was a great spot to grab a quick meal on the go. We also bought a bottle of water which was quite decent at $1 / bottle considering prices at other places.

The workers there are super friendly and it was open by the time me and my friend left the club so it was perfect for a late night snack. The pizza was okay but nothing special, pretty standard

Mean little takeout operation. Top tier plain slice, not too elaborate l, good sauce and cheese. All the chicken options from Buffalo to parm hit. Had a good chicken parm sando from here too. Discovered this spot one night stumbling towards my car now it's a regular lunch spot. Classic NYC slice spot for real.

Ordered a pepperoni pizza and it was great. The crust was awesome. Definitely authentic NY pizza.

DO NOT SLEEP on highline pizzeria! I totally expected this to be "mid" and after ordering a grandma slice I was ready to get a highline pizzeria logo tattooed on my forearm. A small line at 1 am on a Saturday but with it, the crust is amazing, the sauce incredible, AND they have hot sauce, honey, and ranch close by. Definitely coming back! Great stop after a show at the The McKittrick Hotel.

Just close the doors. tried this place 3 times in a 1 month span and today was the last straw. Although the flies were free i did not appreciate having them fly out at me when i opened the box.after they were able to chow down on my slices for the 2 block walk. The Good: its 2 blocks from my office The Bad: this is NYC and your pizza tastes terrible. The Sicilian is a bunch of puffed up dough with a dab of sauce and fake hard cheese on top. the regular slice is undercooked dough that separates from everything else. That's still not the worst of it. You're an old style pizza place. if you advertise a slice for $3.50 i should be able to walk in there and put down $3.50 and walk out with a slice. Not the case. They actually nickel and dime you and charge you tax. also, while they were waiting for the flies to get comfortable on my slices i had a chance to look around and my god that place is filthy, everything is dirty, the employees even had dirty uniforms right after opening. the air filter above the oven tells the whole story. but now at least there are 2 less flies there. should be ashamed of yourselves

This place is legit. We were in town for a conference at Javits and looked for a spot nearby that we could get pies to go. The NY style cheese was perfect. Good baseline to judge any pizza by. Neapolitan was good: crispy baked bottom plenty of cheese covering the top and just the right amount of sauce. The Pepperoni was a home run! Good balance of spice and flavor. Good covering of toppings. Not too greasy!

The cheese Sicilian cheese pizza square was a huge, greasy cube with a massive layer of. cheese. I will say this was convenient after a trip to high line. There is some seating outside.

Quick, tasty, easy to buy, nice staff, added my favorite extra sauce, fresh cheese, light crust, and just enough but not too much bread on bottom with that chewy and light texture dough. It was an excellent and fast 5 minute dinner for a great deal at $3.27 and you can use credit card for that amount. Thank you Highline Pizzeria for making my life easier. And making really good NY style pizza that only some NYC pizza places do well.

Small little hole-in-the-wall walk-in pizza shop near the Hudson Yards. This establishment is meant to get your pizza and take it with you. They offer several different flavors. I got the chicken bacon ranch. It was really good! We got three slices to try. All of which I would recommend. They were really nice. There are a few small chairs along a tiny bar style table outside the restaurant. We ended up taking it down the road a bit and found a place to sit and enjoy them.

This place has very mid pizza, ok if you're hungry but I wouldnt go out of my way to go here.

I don't understand the good reviews here. This pizza literally tasted like the Sam's club pizza. It was the worst pizza we had in nyc.

This place used to be great but now just another overpriced pizzeria with bad staff. The guy who usually runs the register is so unfriendly; two times in a row he's been forgetful and rude.

Small so there is very little space to eat inside. There were 5 of us so we had to eat outside in the cold. They have a few seats outside, which helps. The pizza was much better than I expected. Five of us ordered 5 different types of pizza and all 5 of us gave the pizza a thumbs up. Five thumbs up! Just don't count on eating inside or being comfortable if you do.

I ordered the extra cheese and pepperoni large pie. $44 but well worth it. The sauce was perfect as was the cheese. Love the Crust. And the pie is huge. This is definitely a great place to order from.

I live one avenue away from this place, up the block. I ordered a delivery at 7PM . It was almost 9 and no delivery. When I called they said the pizza was delivered. My sons went over there, and the delivery person said he was never given a delivery. One of the workers proceeded to talk nasty in Spanish and Italian. They are liars... they had messed up my delivery before but decided to give them a second chance... Bad idea.

Yelpers don't be fooled by the "4 stars" you see on this joint. I came here yesterday for the first time to try Highline Pizza and it was a huge disappointment to say the least. My husband ordered 2 slices of the BBQ chicken and I ordered the only pizza that looked like it was the freshest (the grandma). As soon as I opened the box to check out the 3 slices I could clearly see that it just didn't look right. I don't know what the heck these guys are doing or not doing with the pizzas, but this pizza was not made that day. I decided to tasted the Grandma slice anyway and it wasn't that bad compared to the other 2 slices my husband ordered. We both one-hundred percent agreed that this pizza couldn't possibly be fresh and was probably one of the worst pizzas we've ever had. Seriously this is not an exaggeration. For my husband to say that he wouldn't bother eating these slices right after we paid $14 bucks is totally unheard of. We ended up tossing out 2 of the slices of the BBQ pizza and shared the 1 slice of grandma. After this pizza fiasco we ended up walking to another pizza joint that's totally legit when it comes to the freshness of their pizza. Coming to Highline Pizza was a complete waste of time and money and I won't be doing that again.

Best pizza I ever ate in this city! Get the grandmas pizza. Thick, juicy, rich. Soft delicious crust.

Solid 4! Great hole in the wall and ready for pick up slices of pizza it is right below the high line so we bought ourselves a slice of pepperoni and sausage pizza and headed up to the highline. We found a bench to sit on, ate our delicious pizza and people watched. It was a great experience. Back to the pizza, the pizza crust was crispy yet soft, the pizza had a good amount of grease and toppings and it was quite big in size for $4.50. Yumm after writing this review it makes me want another slice hahah

Okkk. This is what's up! Cheap, piping hot & delicious pizza. Grabbed a slice after a day of travel. Hit the spot. Highly recommend if you're in the area! Also, appreciate the small but practical outside seating.

I put Highline on a list of pizza-by-the-slice places I'd like to try while visiting Manhattan, and I'm glad I did. It has a nice casual vibe, with the employees inside joking around and friendly amongst themselves. I had two slices -- the one that I sought out because of a previous review (square-chunk chicken, intact tomato slices) was actually one I'd skip -- it was fine, but I wasn't impressed by the chicken. But the second one I had had some pork shavings, and they offered to put ranch or blue cheese on top (I went with blue cheese). It was really good. Also, the place was just super friendly. I'd definitely return.

Pizza is alright. Definitely a tourist crowd that comes here and leaving all these 5 star reviews. NY pizza is the best but Highline Pizza is just mediocre. Agree with a lot of the negative reviews about their staff being rude. Totally unnecessary but then again, NYC right? Hospitality is not there unless it's a 5 dollar sign establishment. Minus one star for touching money and register and then back to the pizza without gloves... wth!!!!!! Pizza can be thinner, a little thick and doughy sometimes. The only pizzeria in the area that's walking distance from my job so I'll still come here every now and then.

Little Hole-in-the-Wall Pizzeria, with some of the BEST pizza in NY. Nothing fancy. Just a good, solid hidden gem of a place to get pizza in NY. I also love that they use a thin crust! I always get a slice or two, when I am in the neighborhood. The staff are pleasant (a major criteria for me and the service is quick and the pizza is awesome!

I live directly next door and have frequented this place for 3 years. Lately the prices have gone up and the quality has gone to absolute garbage. If you like expensive ultra greasy pizza this is your place. I asked the guy making it if he would eat this wet dough for 4 dollars per slice and his look said it all. I predict they wil be out of business within a year.

High line Pizzeria is so good especially in this area where there aren't too many $ pizza spots. I loved how fresh and chewey this spot was. I mean can you go wrong with pizza in nyc?! Nope. It's a guarantee good pizza spot from me! Add on spices available

I was surprised at how good the pizza was, me and a friend just needed to eat something, anything, before going through the many hours of nearby Sleep No More and this was cheap and fast. I got a chicken and bacon slice. Toppings were generous and fresh, crust was sturdy enough to handle them without being too thick. Space is small and they seem to do good business so it's packed, plan on taking it to go.

Highline Pizza is a fantastic place to get good quality "NY pizza". Hudson Yards is now filling out with upscale restaurants and there is a shortage of places to go for a quick, cheap bite. The place is always busy at night with people on their way to bars or in between bars and in need of a slice, but don't let the crowd fool you into thinking this is a junky slice joint. I have gotten pizza here multiple times, from slices to freshly made pies. Always very good and always consistent with the quality. I do recommend ordering ahead and getting a fresh pie.

I ordered from Mealpal and came in to pickup. It's a tiny space, packed with locals looking for a tasty lunch in an area with few quality offerings. The cashier who took the order was very friendly, and sent the order and immediately. Everything is prepared after speaking to the cashier so there is a wait. The guys were pretty swamped and the wait was about 10 minutes. Everyone was pretty laid back so it was okay. When I opened the wrapper, my Grammercy had no pesto on the inside. There were about 4 of the same thing at the same time and maybe they were a little confused about who came 1st or maybe I got someone's modified version. Go figure. My friend ordered a regular slice and a specialty slice (she said they both were delicious). Despite missing one of the key ingredients, my sandwich was really good. The ingredients were fresh and were of a good quality. Everything in the window looked amazing and I might come by at another time to try some of the offerings.

I usually go to buy slices because its super affordable, 90% of the time it's wonderful but on occasion slices are old . They have new employees though. Usually it's always good if I call ahed for a shawarma slice. By the way they have the best one.

Randomly walked into this Pizza shop while roaming the streets of Chelsea, and I'm so glad we did - it was sooooo good. I got a regular cheese slice ($2.50) and it was delicious, lots of cheese with a little on the thin/crunchy side. Not too much dough, just how I like it. Some of my friends had a specialty slice ($4.00) with Mozzarella and Basil - they looked a little small but they seemed to love it as well. Staff was friendly and fast. The place itself is small but there's about 4-5 chairs to sit. Def. recommend it if you're looking for some tasty and cheap (depending what slice you get) pizza!
