Do not miss this spot!!! The food was INCREDIBLE! I am obsessed! I got the Cajun Pasta with steak, and my husband got the sliders and catfish tenders. Everything was delicious. Their cocktails were yummy, and they're served strong! The staff were all so sweet and kind, and we even were talked to by the owner. I am definitely going back before we head home to AVL.

This is such a comfortable place. Come dressed up or dressed down. The service is amazing. The drinks are delicious. They deserve so much credit. The food was DELICIOUS! Not too salty just right! It’s really a peaceful atmosphere and beautiful experience. It’s for everyone those who are His, Hers, and They. I loved this place. I laughed, smiled, and was given a genuine experience of Washington, DC hospitality. As long as y’all are here I will be returning for a great experience. We loved it here!

The people are so nice, I’m honestly disappointed. I tried this place 2 days in a row, and was disappointed in the food each time. I ordered the chicken and waffle the first time, the chicken didn’t taste seasoned. I ordered the catfish po boy and an appetizer of catfish nuggets. Both which were supposed to have a side of sweet chili sauce *per the menu*. The catfish nuggets were extremely small and tasteless. No sweet chili sauce with neither dish. The people are warm and welcoming, the aesthetic is trendy and they have a good selection of spirits at the bar.

Comfortable setting. We had the seafood fried rice, fried cauliflower, salmon bites and crab slides. Clearly we wanted to try different things and everything was great! Melvin, the bartender served phenomenal drinks. The girls and I will be back!

Here for a second experience… it’s hard to tolerate bad service. This will be the last… if your energy is not good, don’t come to work!! I’ll be reaching out to Paul after this experience. We organized a community event to bring community leaders together for happy hour and karaoke. When we arrived, we were told there was no karaoke or DJ on a Friday night. Ordered the old bay wings and french fries, and the french fries were the star of the show. Limited selection of libations, but our bartender did her thing. The three stars is actually for the bartender, Keisha. She accommodated us by putting music on her Bluetooth so we could at least enjoy the space for what we anticipated and didn’t receive. And even though it says they close at 11 PM we were rushed out before 8 PM and walked across the street to Prevost.

The place is cute. I love the interior design. Someone put a lot of thought and love into it. It makes the place seem cozy. When you pull-up the expectation is a little deceiving from the outside, but the inside is too cute. Parking is on a major street, so it may be a little iffy. The service was good. The drinks were cute and tasty and the food was very good. I had a Henny Sidecar, an order of lemon pepper wings (fried hard), and the crab stuffed salmon with mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach. My friend ordered the catfish fingers, which were also good. 👌🏾 They have Karaoke on certain nights, which happened to be when I visited, and that was so much fun. The DJ was great, and there were a lot of talented singers that participated. I will visit His & Hers again!

What a great place. They're trying out new menu items this Monday, and we got to sample a few. Very delicious crab cake and margaritas! Wish we were here longer to sample everything that's new. We felt like family in this establishment. Very welcoming staff and the food is delicious! Highly recommend.

Came to meet up with a friend. Street parking. Was $2.25 max an hour. Park mobile Think the DJ was playing music from a streaming service like Pandora. Chill mix of early 2000 music. Happy hour when I came and sat at the bar. Ha salmon bites with remoulade . they were good but soooo hot lol. I should have waited ten mins for them to cook down instead of burning the inside of my mouth lol . This place has locals and I can see why . Glad I came to finally check it out

What a wonderful little place! While visiting from the ATL, we found this gem on Yelp and decided to stop in. As soon as you walk in, it feels like home! Everyone is friendly, it has such a chill vibe and you just know the food is going to be SO good! And it sure was! My partner had the Crab Hash while I stuck to my classic favorite, Chicken and Waffles! The Crab Hash was full of flavor with peppers, onions, potatoes combined with some juicy crab meat! He ate every single bite of it! My C&W was so flavorful and not as dense as a lot of recipes. This waffle was the perfect blend of sweet with the crispy savory chicken that made it just fantastic! I will not lie, this was a plan b situation. A girlfriend and I were out for brunch and our first option closed for an emergency, but we were hungry. A quick Yelp search led me to this fabulous restaurant. Parking was even easy early on a Sunday afternoon, which also happened to be a holiday weekend I was surprised. We were immediately greeted upon entry and were offered to sit anywhere of our choosing. We chose a nice booth. Our waitress Jasmine immediately came to take our drink order, y'all know it was brunch so I had to order a mimosa and was pleasantly surprised to find out they offered cranberry, pineapple and orange as options. Jasmine was very upbeat and cheerful. I went on to order the catfish and grits and my homegirl had the crab hash. My only complaint is I would have preferred one larger piece of catfish as opposed to the two smaller pieces, but can I tell y'all this dish was seasoned to perfection I still to this day think about this dish. I can't wait to return and try other things on the menu. Did I mention the menu is reasonably priced? We ate ALL of our food, just pure deliciousness When we were wrapping up we were informed of a downstairs space that is available for rent. We went to check it out and I will most certainly keep this venue in mind for future events. Do yourself a favor and drop in to sample this amazing food.

Stopped by for happy hour before dinner. People here are warm, good music and vips all the way. I sit outside soaking in the last ray before the day ends. Where else you are going to see a baby blue rolls Royce in front of the dollar store? Gotta love DC

What a great way to start our weekend in D.C. with good food, music and spirits. We enjoyed everything from the Fish and grits. Chicken and waffles, and pancakes. My family and I will always support black owned businesses, especially when then food and service is good.

Two things I didn't know I neeeeeded to have. Salmon on deviled eggs and the lemon pepper wings from this place. The wings had flavor all the way through. The drinks was ok but the food and service was phenomenal. Next time I go in going to try the honey lemon pepper. The layout is very friendly and gave a relaxing vibe.

Cool dive. Nice staff and chill atmosphere. I met a friend here and for a while we were the only customers. The catfish tenders were tasty and I enjoyed the sauce. The fried cauliflower smelled odd to me so I didn't taste it but it looked good. For the portion sizes it was overpriced. I can't say if I'd go back or not... Maybe.

Stopped in before a concert. Loved the atmosphere and bartender Keez greeted me as soon as I hit the door. The crab/shrimp sliders were sooooo good! Great service. Great drinks. If I were a local, I'd be a regular!

Dropped in for a R&B Sunday Brunch. Was pleased with the music selection. The chicken and waffles was bangin! The bartender even gave a complimentary shot to the birthday girl ;-) The venue was clean and COVID-friendly. Definitely a good spot for group celebrations and a girls day out.

Ambiance: 10/10 Definitely great energy from the employees and the atmosphere!!! Food: 10/10 Bomb!! Although I only got the shrimp fried rice, it was still very good and one of the employees suggested a sauce from another dish to pour over it! Service: 10/10 Christina is great at any establishment that she's working in. Aways have great recommendations!! Drinks: 10/10 Christina can put a cocktail together from nothing!!! Never disappoints...EVER!! Overall: 20/10 I definitely recommend!! I went on a chill evening, which sometimes I prefer and it didn't disappoint at all. Check them out and ask for Christina!!!

The venue was small n quaint yet very appealing to the eye inside and out. I was there for a private event. However, I would love to come back and partake in the other activities and dine in. The bartender with the light eyes (sorry don't remember his name cause its been a min) was nice and efficient. He kept my liquor and water glass filled. The food was delish! Especially the chicken wings.

I passed by His & Hers after leaving another establishment in the neighborhood when they were just ramping up in 2021, and I returned for a party in 2022 and was so happy to see that they are officially making moves. This neighborhood spot is too cute and the food is equally delicious. The catfish was seasoned really well and the hot honey cauliflower bites were AMAZING! I mean like GOOD GOOD. Like are y'all gonna bring more of those out good. The DJ was bomb and the energy of the space was so welcoming. I'm so glad to have seen them in the different stages and can't wait to return.

Ok. This is a LONG review because I usually love His & Hers but I am super annoyed and disappointed. I've been here many times and the problem I have is that the service and quality of food is very hit or miss depending on who's working... that goes from the waitress, to the bartender to the chef. My partner and I came in this afternoon (Saturday) around 12:30. The waitress is sweet and friendly, we sit, all is well. We both immediately order mimosas before ordering any food...now for context, there are maybe 8 ppl in the whole restaurant and about 15 minutes go by and I'm watching the waitress fiddle around the restaurant, be on her phone, chat with staff etc and I'm thinking...there's not enough ppl in here for us to not have our drinks yet and you're standing around doing nothing. So I tell my partner to get her attention, and she then says oh yea, what kind of mimosa was it? And then places the orders with the bartender in front of us. Soooooo we've been sitting here 15 minutes and bartender didn't even know to make the mimosas meanwhile you're just wandering around?? Flag 1. I let it go. He starts making drinks, we order food. I explain to the waitress that I don't want the sauce that comes with the catfish & grits, but only the fish, peppers, and grits, no sauce (because I come here frequently and I know how I like that dish). She says cool, no problem. Brings out the plate with no peppers, and I repeat that the only thing I didn't want was the sauce. She has to take it back. Flag 2. Because it's only 3 components lol, peppers, fish, grits. By this point we're 25 minutes in and only one mimosa has made it our table. Mind you, food is already being brought out and still the two mimosas we ordered upon sitting down are not there. My partner again says hey... what's up with the other mimosa? The waitress reminds the bartender who STARTS making the second drink. Flag 3. My food comes back with the added peppers and it's just bleh. Idk who's cooking but I've ordered that exact same dish many times before and it was BANGING, like 10/10 but today?! I had a couple bites and decide that I would just take it home to doctor up, because it just wasn't it. I ask the waitress for a box to go, she says ok got you. I then watch her again, wander around the restaurant l, have full blown conversations with customers, stand around. I let another 10 minutes go by, assuming that shes remember and just bring me the box so we can go. She doesn't. So now I'm irritated and I say her, can you please bring me the box I asked you for 10 minutes ago? She apologizes and immediately gets the box. So now I'm thinking....why couldn't you have just done that when I asked you? Why am I having to repeatedly remind you about things we're asking for? So I'm ready to go. We were originally planning to get multiple rounds and more food but by this point I'm fed up. I order a coffee to go. Mind you, it's brunch. The bartender tells me, "we'll it's going to take a while because I have to make a pot of coffee"....why tf don't you already have coffee made during brunch? I let it go and wait. He then says, what kind of coffee do you want? I'm like just a regular drip coffee with cream and sugar. He says cool. Brings me back a plain black coffee. I go back to the bar and I'm like do y'all have cream and sugar because I'm just ready to go. He says oh ok yea... and then proceeds to fiddle around the bar area looking for creamer before another person at the bar (who I'm assuming also works there) says..."don't bother we don't have any, you gotta go next door." Meaning to the OTHER UNAFFILIATED RESTAURANT NEXT DOOR. WHAT IN THE ENTIRE F*CK IS GOING ON?!?! You mean to tell me you don't have the basic condiments for coffee?! During brunch?! So then I wait for him to wrangle other ppls cream and sugar for the coffee I ordered at His & Hers.... Then there's this whole debacle about them not being able to print the receipt for our meal (we keep receipts for tracking expense purposes) which was selected when we paid the tab. Apparently the printer didn't work, and because the tab was closed we also couldn't get the receipt emailed to us. My partner had to basically take a picture of the order just to get a version of a receipt. So here is the point. I am SO done with giving Black Owned Restaurants passes for unprofessional and ridiculous service and practices. It is so disheartening knowing that I came in there today planning to spend mad money and time, and had to leave early because of lack of attention to details, inconsistent food quality, and staff that kinda didn't seem to know what was going on. YALL HAVE GOT TO DO BETTER. PERIOD. I've spent a lot of money at this place, and will probably go back again at some point, but it won't be for a good while. Jas

Did a carry-out order from their Brunch menu for my first experience with this new spot. Based on 2 main course dishes that I tasted, it gets a thumbs up. The eggs benedict with smoked salmon (called nova lox) is straight-forward and traditional. The crab hash is interesting; comes with a light dipping sauce--sort of a remoulade thing going on with it. I like the home-style fried potatoes. They're nicely cubed, with sautéed onions and green and red bell peppers, and whatever seasoning that's being used makes them flavorful and perky. Prices are competitive. This location formerly housed both the Nido Restaurant and the Momo Yakitori Restaurant. Best of luck to His & Hers. I'll be back to try the dinner offerings.

A friend and I popped in on a hot Sunday for brunch around 1pm. There was lots on street parking and it was free since it was Sunday. This is a restuarant and a bar. We were asked if we wanted to sit in the rooftop (inside joke). There were a few patrons already there but we were asked to choose any seats we liked. There was nice soft music playing in the background and the restaurant was bright and very cute. We were given water and utensil immediately. Jessica, our server, came to take our orders. The prices are very reasonable especially for the seafood brunch items. The food came out quickly. The portions were perfect and the food was hot, seasoned very well and was delicious. When all was said and done, there was nothing left on either of our plates. My eggs were cooked over-meduim as requested. EXTRA CREDIT. I've had many restaurants to fail the egg test. Eggs are my favorite for breakfast and brunch. I didn't have a drink this day but from what I understand, from the 2 mimosas ordered by my friend, they are excellent! The bar has a full menu and I even noticed they will make you one of your creations if you ask them to. After we ate, we were invited to view the downstairs of the restaurant. It's a very cute area with a bar, bar stools, and tables and chairs. It can be rented for private events. You can choose to have food provided free for the guest, have it catered for a certain amount or even allow your guest to be able to order from the menu independently. The same with the bar. If you're looking for a nice place to have brunch or a place to host an event, I recommend His and Hers. If I wasn't on a mission to visit a new restaurant every week, I'd be back here for sure.

I went to a weekly event called Wicked Mondaze and loved the location. Drinks and food were great, as was the service. The catfish tenders were so yummy that I ordered some to take home. Christina was a great server, also but she did encourage me to tip in cash, saying that she doesn't get tips when they are on a credit card. I gave her $25 cash tip for my bill and looked at the receipt today only to find out that $15 gratuity was already included. I feel a bit duped but luckily I can afford it. Haha. I will still go back but not tip in cash.

Kitchen Commando, America's Sweetheart and Greatest Hero, came here and trained these privates into generals! TEN HUT! First mission: the food. The crab sandwich was delicious, not fishy at all and the fried cauliflower wasn't too greasy and you could still get the full healthy nutrition of the cauliflowers. Second mission: the decor. It was very warm and inviting. Final mission: the service. 10 stars out of ten for the friendly waitstaff. All in all it was a great lunch and I'll be back. DISMISSED!

This is LENGTHY review, so if you have A.D.D or hate reading pass on! We stopped here briefly for Sunday brunch before we hit I-95 to head back home after a weekend in D.C This is a laid back cute little brunch spot. I went on the strength of the positive reviews and it being a B.O.B. However, I've decided I am no longer allowing the B.O.B. card to cause me emotional guilt any longer. This is [my] opinion from [my] experience. We walk in and the first thing I noticed was the entry carpet going up the ramp needed a serious vacuum. The bartender had to tell us where to sit after we stood there for a moment. The menu was super limited. My overall issue was the food portion sizes. Like someone commented elsewhere, they were compatible with what you would feed a 3 year old. All it was missing was a plastic divided kids plate. This wasn't some Michelin gourmet restaurant where they sourced ingredients from Europe. I get that COVID and supply chain issues and inflation hit restaurants hard, and I'm glad they are surviving. However, if your stomach muscular organ is the size of a small orange then you should be good. If you're a "skinny legend like Whiz Khalifa" and have the munchies, you will be disappointed. The menu said THICK slices of bread for the French toast. How sway? What was received was thin (not brioche) bread. The grits were soupy, but well seasoned. The eggs and bacon were good. The vegan sausage was not good. In fact, it was nasty. The "fruit bowl" I requested consisted of only strawberries and blueberries. Sooo...no oranges? No grapes or even apples? Blackberries, raspberries, or even kiwi?? This screamed laziness to me. I know it's January, but I just saw some pineapples the other day in Walmart. The fried potatoes were [really] good. Considering they were rationed like it was bread during wartime I couldn't enjoy them because I ate them in less than 30 seconds. I considered buying some more, but my pride and attitude wouldn't allow. The waitress was very nice and accommodating. However, her uniform which consisted of Crocs with pink and white ankle socks, leggings and a sweat jacket was giving me diner aesthetics. Next, a guy came in that the workers knew (maybe it was his off day and he worked there?). He's leaning over the bar chairs, singing the songs being played over the speaker [loudly] and then belts this deafening whistle to another song as he heads to the back where the kitchen is. I didn't understand the cubby holes of supplies exposed and on display either. Is there no curtain or fabric that could cover this? So, finally, yes, I hold His & Hers to a high standard just as I would other businesses. Entrepreneurship is sink or swim. Certain other races don't have to prove themselves and struggle to get funding for a businesses like we do - they have collateral of generational wealth. We are far less likely to secure business capital than them, and when we do, that capital comes in much smaller amounts and with higher interest rates. So when we have the opportunity to own a business and I see the stuff I frequently see it makes me want to scratch Styrofoam. His and Hers has potential, but needs to consider reevaluating some things.

Food is great! Nice vibe and really cute inside. The non-alcoholic drink are meh but I hear the alcoholic drinks are pretty good here. I really like the crab hash but honestly you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

Great experience for my first time! I will absolutely be returning with more friends. We went for brunch on Sunday and loved everything from the service to the food. They have karaoke on Friday night so I'm planning ahead for that.

What an amazing addition to the neighborhood! This newly opened restaurant is a must! Black-owned and family run, this restaurant had absolutely phenomenal service. They've got a beautiful space upstairs and a quieter space downstairs. The food was delicious with a great selection of appetizers (catfish, salads, shrimp - you cannot go wrong). The stuffed crab salmon and the burger were full of flavor (dare I say, we might've found our new favorite burger spot). I wish I wasn't such a light weight these days, as their cocktails were excellent. While I only had the cucumber caipirinha and the tamarind margarita, each will definitely have us coming back and I'm looking forward to trying more (dare I say, we also might've found our new favorite cocktail spot). We also came with our 18 month old (date nights are limited these days) and they were great about offering us sides for her and recommendations for us. And a shout-out to whomever picked the playlist because the background music was awesome! Great crowd. Friendly and fun staff. Amazing food and drinks! We cannot wait to come back!

So disappointed. Website says open at 2, but no!!! Traveled from Maryland only to find out they don't open until 3!!! I recommend they change information on website and/or add phone recording. I did try to call but no voicemail set up!

Let me start off by saying I wanted to LOVE this place simply because it's black owned and I love seeing my people prosper and be successful... BUT we (IYKYK) have a tendency to get comfortable too quick with a lot things we do! 1. When my friend walked in, the FIRST thing she said out if her mouth was "Do you have all the food because last time y'all didn't have anything..." right there, red flag! Why would y'all not have all the food? Why are y'all even open then? 2. The service. BAD. UNPROFESSIONAL. LOOSE. These ppl are way to comfortable and confident to be new business owners in a super trying time. They were walking around like it was Morton's but giving McDonald's service! The bartender was ok because I didn't drink but he was also all over the place too. Taking orders across the room smh. I asked for water 4 times and it was I only 5 ppl in the entire restaurant including us AT THE BAR!! 3. Food. My friend said her food was good but that's because someone else cooked and prepared her order THEN LEFT! Another chef attempted to make my food but FAILED! They literally left the whole establishment to go to the liquor store next door because they ran out of champagne (my friend had a mimosa), mind you it's 2:00pm, how tf you run out of champagne lol it's brunch time. Who's doing inventory?? Where's the manager??? They literally told me I had to wait because they need more "ingredients for my meal" LMAO smh!! The ingredient I seen when he brought that god awful plate out: COURSE PEPPER. Sausage burnt. My French toast never came so I canceled everything and said fuck it! Then on top of all that, they had a nerve to say the owner was down stairs ‍ smh like sir, you running a cute looking carry out because the service was just the same. The decor is BEAUTIFUL! The menu LOOKS decent but taste I'm not sure because I did not eat. I think it's better as a party space and maybe a lil bar on the weekend buy an actual restaurant?? Issa hell NO for me... overall it was just a bad unorganized unprofessional experience. This is the second black owned business I've been in that's just too dysfunctional for my likings. We have to do better. We deserve better.. as far as this place I definitely don't think I'm interested in going back & probably won't recommend anyone.

I went to His and Hers to meet my bestie for brunch. We kinda pick it out of a hat. It is in my neighborhood, almost walking distance to be exact and black owned. I will say to our satisfaction it was a good place to eat and drink. The vibe was good, the bartender is social and accommodating. The wings were super good and I'm a wing person. I will definitely be going back again.

Lowkey alias spot on Rhode Island. The food was great and the staff was very welcoming, but forgetful at times. A few hiccups, but I'd definitely comeback. Kind of tight, so make a reservation if you can.

The food was pretty good. Server was good. Only two complaints, there was someone there mopping the whole dinning area floor while we were eating and a couple of employees looked unprofessional in there un-groomed street attire I would give it one more chance....

We were in the neighborhood and my friend remembered this place. We stopped in for a late lunch early dinner. It was like a neighborhood gathering spot with friendly patrons and staff, really cool atmosphere. The drinks were great, the appetizer (coconut shrimp) was hot & fresh with great flavor. I had the cheesesteak sandwich which was very tasty. It wasn't quite edge-to-edge so the 1st bite was just crunchy bread, but after that 1st bite, every bite was full of flavor and hit the spot. We'll definitely be back. Visit this family owned business.

I came for a work event and LOVED IT! The bartender was one point with the drinks and the food was delicious!!! 10 out of 10 I recommend.

Welcoming service, strong tasty drinks and hot fresh cut fries.... say less!!! Our server, Kesha, was great and all 4 of us enjoyed our food. Good sized portions, hot and well seasoned. We'll definitely be back!

I love to support BOB (Black Owned Businesses) however the customer service needs to be improved. The brunch was okay but nothing to write home about. I would give them another chance and try the dinner menu.

Mother's Day brunch was cool! Food took forever but it was good once I got it ! Mangers & Server were all nice & friendly ! Once they hire more ppl , everything would be great ! I would go back to try it again !

I always search for food places on Yelp when we travel. This place was great! The people are very friendly. It was easy to find and the food was so good! Will come back if we are in the DC area.
