The Best Beverly Hills Restaurants, According to Eater Editors | Eater LA

"Lorenzo has been a leader in Los Angeles’s focaccia sandwich revolution. The shop sells focaccia sandwiches daily from its tiny cafe space, with a focus on Italian cold cuts like mortadella, prosciutto, and salami. Try the namesake Lorenzo with mortadella, Parmesan pate, toasted pistachios, roasted bell pepper, and basil leaves; vegetarians can go for something like the Caponata with basil-inflected eggplant and zucchini caponata, olive pate, Parmesan pate, and toasted almond. The quaint shop has limited seating inside and a few tables perched outside its front doors from which to watch the Beverly Hills crowd shop on the tony surrounding streets." - Matthew Kang

I’m honestly surprised by some of the negative reviews, because every experience I’ve had at this H. Lorenzo location has been exceptional. Every time I’m in town, I make a point to stop by, and the staff has always been incredibly attentive, helpful, and genuinely kind. They’ve gone above and beyond—offering thoughtful styling advice and even staying past closing hours to assist me. Athena, in particular, has been consistently warm and gracious. Despite the store’s luxury offerings, there’s never been a trace of pretension—just a welcoming, knowledgeable team who clearly love what they do. I’ll definitely be back on my next visit!

Google
Very uncomfortable experience. Staff are not helpful but follow you around. Only seem to have XS and S. Prices are also quite a bit higher for the same brands than at other stores or the brand's own websites. If you have to shop here, check prices online before you buy anything.

Google
Staff were very unfriendly, the girl decided to acknowledge us after I was in the store for over 20 minutes after my boyfriend said to me out loud how no one had acknowledge us. Then the girl started trying really hard to help me. LOL

Laura Feiner

Google
My partner and I stopped by the men’s store first. Staff greeted us, were friendly, answered our questions and said goodbye when we left. The women’s store was totally the opposite, no greeting from the 3 employees there. They only followed us around and fixed and garments that we touched (I worked in retail and never leave the hangers or garments looking messy). We were in the store for about a half hour and not one word was said to us. One employee was on her phone. I don’t expect anyone to grovel or be super friendly, just say hello? 2 stars because the store is absolutely beautiful and so is the clothing.

Google
Do not go to the women’s store. They made my sister feel very uncomfortable and when her fiancé came back to address the issue they didn’t care.

Google
This was hands down the most pathetic attempt I have ever seen at a retailer trying to find a reason for not issuing store credit. I purchased a shirt online, never even put it on and was told that the shirt was worn and smelled like someone had worn it. Never put on!! Although it was past the 30 day return window (35 days to be exact) I simply asked if they can at least issue me store credit so I can purchase something I would actually wear and was simply told lies so they can keep the final sale of the item. I literally told them they can keep the shirt and donate it to charity but who knows if charity would except a brand new shirt that smells like the inside of a UPS box. They're are a joke and anyone that shops there is a bigger joke. Keep it classy and move on

Google
very unpleasant experience here. 3 empolyees here and 2 were staring me down around the whole store. didn’t greet me or ask if i needed anything. super unprofessional

Yelp
Great place to shop for clothing, amazing selection of pieces service is great, workers are attentive. Everything is retail price, rarely any sales.

Yelp
Had a fashion emergency and wifey said "immediately go to H. Lorenzo and get a black T shirt of high quality!" I literally had 30 minutes and guess what - I found a very good one. The style is largely avant-garde rather than classic, but in this instance, they had what I needed! Crisis averted and thank you H Lorenzo!

Yelp
Just walked in ready to buy and was ignored. Son we walked out. Bad service by lazy workers. Went to Prada last night and was instantly greeted and welcomed- and bought something. Just saying...

Yelp
Best men's high fashion store in Los Angeles, probably on the entire west coast. Extremely unique pieces and fashion forward. There are many unique pieces here that can't be found anywhere else.

Yelp
Great selection of designer mens items. They carry brands that are very hard to find. Unfortunately the owner doesn't seem to trust his sales associates. He is always hovering around anyone who looks like they might buy something and tries to "close" the sale. The problem is he's rude and unpleasant. I've never seen him smile. Today I tried on a $2,000 Issay Miyake blazer. They were out of my size. The sales person brought out a smaller size. The owner immediately popped over and told me how great it fit. I couldn't button it and the sleeves were an inch too short. I told him it was obviously too small. He said it looked great unbuttoned. Not only did he lose the sale, but he lost any future sales.

Yelp
Perhaps the employees at this store don't speak English. Didn't hear any of them mutter a single word the whole time we were there, and my friend and I were the only customers in the store! Maybe management is cool with their corporate mouses freeing themselves from the shackles of a life in retail by allowing phone time while on the floor. I imagine they were looking up some things along the lines of "what do to with myself after I have become a disappointment to my entire family after moving to la to 'be somebody'?" The first step would be to clock out. I can't stand when a retail ho' thinks they're in the same tax bracket as a customer and has attitude. Next please.

Yelp
Purchased a pair of shoes on sale from their website and had to exchange it for bigger size. They told me the bigger size is running out of stock and I can only get online credits because what I purchased is "on sale". Now I get stuck with the online credits as there is nothing else I would like to buy from their store.

Yelp
I perused their website prior to stopping in and they carry a variety of designers from Acne Studios to 99%IS. The men and women's fashions are housed in separate stores next door to each other. The strip of stores on Sunset share a large parking lot in the back that is free, provided you shop only in the stores and businesses there. The ladies shop has the current collections on the first floor and the second floor (basement) is their archive. The second floor was closed when I went. We were greeted by two clerks who left us to shop on our own. This location carries/focuses on minimalist designers like Acne, Junya Watanabe, etc. The space was easy to shop and very pleasant, atmosphere-wise. Unfortunately this location did not have the item I was looking for, but the clerks were kind to send me the address of the Robinson location. I'd consider coming back if I was in the area.

Yelp
Love H Lorenzo due to their buying of very unique pieces. I would try on in store as well as buy in store vs shipping because one needs to see and feel these pieces on investment pieces. Fell in love with a Junya Watanabe piece (spliced with Balenciaga, Acne Studios, and Prada?) for $3449.

Yelp
Way too persistent and rude when you don't buy what they want you to. Spend your money at Rick Owens

Kai T.

Yelp
The staff in the women's side is horrible. I went in wanting to have a fun, relaxing shopping experience and left feeling just awful. My boyfriend and I walk in head to toe in designer and they still followed us around the entire time. My boyfriend tried to ask one of the staff how their day was going and she completed ignored him. One of the staff started a fitting room for me and we went downstairs to look at the rest of the selection (which is subpar) and another staff girl walked downstairs and just stared at us. She didn't even say hello or offer to help, talk about the pieces, nothing. It was so uncomfortable. If you're going to stare at me the entire time, at least be helpful and help me shop!! They were so cold and rude it borderlined on mean. Do yourself a favor and don't ship here.

Hanui C.

Yelp
Bought an Undercover shirt here while visiting family in LA. Fast forward a month of traveling, and I finally take out the shirt back home in the Bay Area to find out that the cashier never took off the giant plastic security tag on the shirt. Reached out to them and they told me to just go to a random store and ask them to remove it for me (obviously will be v v awkward for me to do this), or send it back to them presumably at my cost. I wouldn't expect this level of carelessness from Target, let alone a boutique selling t-shirts for $200... AVOID AVOID AVOID!
google avatar

Michelle M.

Yelp
had an uncomfortable shopping experience. 1 was the only person in the store and 2 employees there were watching me through the whole store. i made eye contact with them more times than i could count. they didn't greet me nor did they ask if i even needed help. Very unprofessional

Fbj D.

Yelp
Shopping here was worst experiences ever. Management is desperate for money and thus have terrible customer service and policies. Shop elsewhere! I do not recommend this store.

Aziz S.

Yelp
They are literally the worst to ever do business with! Higher prices than any other stores and they charged me for my order then held it for two days "processing" even though I paid for 2nd day air shipping and asked me for many identification documents for buying pair of jeans!!! I'll never ever buy anything or recommend this place!

Rose K.

Yelp
Impeccable service and one of the best curated shops in LA - lots of great designers and terrific buy. One of the pieces I purchased was a bit damaged and both Athena and Steven went above and beyond to resolve the situation. Definitely one of the best shops in LA all around.
google avatar

Al V.

Yelp
Lethargy sellers. There is nothing that the desired dimensions liked. Top high fashion without clothes for tall people))) Boring. I went in Maxfield after that and found all I need.
google avatar

Oliver S.

Yelp
There are two stores this one that stocks higher end designer brands (ie. CDG, JunJ) and another in Robertson that stocks smaller cult brands (ie. Craig Green, Raf). I really used to like this place until the other weekend. I bought a tee for my wife for 225$ which at the time seemed reasonable but then I went down the street to Opening Ceremony and saw the same one for 175$...whoa a 50$ markup which accounts for 1/3 the total price. That is freakin ridiculous. Moral of the story don't shop here...go to Opening Ceremony first or even Maxfield before even thinking of shopping here. Even if you see something you like try it on for size then buy from ssense.com or even mrporter.com. This is a joke and I will no longer support a business that is price gouging like that. They are worse the the lowlife resellers that camp outside Supreme. Don't Believe The Hype!!!!

Yelp
One of the best things about H Lorenzo is that I have come here looking like a slob and I've come here dressed in my finest and I've been treated well by the staff each time. Courteous and knowledgeable staff sets H Lorenzo apart. H Lorenzo carries some of the finest avant-garde artisans and the most progressive fashion designers the world has to offer. I love coming here to experience the world's finest leather from Guidi, the most experimental fabric treatments by Boris Bidjan Saberi, and the darkest industrial fantasies of Tatsuro Horikawa's Julius.
google avatar

Helen Y.

Yelp
Hmm it's hard to describe this clothing boutique other than it's a mix match of all sorts of high end designers -- many of which I haven't heard of. The clothes are definitely unique and fashion forward. I saw these really cute pair of Fiorentini and Baker suede buckle boots that were already sold out at Madison's and Barneys but you can get them here. Friendly staff and helpful service.
google avatar

Kimberley K.

Yelp
Have been a fan and shopper @ H Lorenzo for the past 7 years. Their attitude has always been the same......"we are the best because we are the best". Being a little humble would do them well. Also, being a little more helpful in suggesting which pieces of clothing go with other pieces of clothing would be nice as well. Since there are not that many reviews I am assuming that their popularity has died down a bit? Expensive? YES! Look for their sales.....they have them behind the store in the parking lot behind Petit Four.
google avatar

Cole R.

Yelp
This is definitely my favorite boutique in Los Angeles and maybe the US. I came in the other day and the staff was very helpful. They catered to everything I needed and wanted.
google avatar

Rick G.

Yelp
Amazing, unique designs. Helpful and friendly staff. The place to go if you have money to burn and itch to dress stylish. I have bought a sharp suit, a pair of jeans and other articles of clothing here on several visits here. Easy to get noticed in their clothes. Is it pretentious? Of course, they're on the Sunset Strip, but that is also part of the fun of it. We live in LA. The description is labeled wrong- It is a clothing store that sells only men's clothes. Check it out just for the hell of it. You are worthy.
google avatar

Missy J.

Yelp
My best guy friend is a model, and he's very picky about where he shops, so when he raved about this place, I tagged along and figured I might find some stuff for myself in the women's store. WRONG! While the men's store has way cooler clothes and shoes, the women's side has either clothes you can find at Bloomingdale's or what you'd wear in a Nicki Minaj video. Therefore, nothing that would justify spending 4 figures. The sales guys were friendly enough (very young) but I didn't see a thing that I wanted to try on.
google avatar

Cleo F.

Yelp
Love this place. They carry the hottest fashion/brands. Lorenzo has always been on top. The store looks beautiful. The retailers are dope themselves. If you have a huge event to attend and want to look fly or sharp, come here!!!! Best boutique in town. #1
google avatar

Raziel G.

Yelp
If you're ever in LA I would definitely stop into this place. I don't like everything but I do like a lot of stuff they have to offer. It's well laid out, and has a very cool design. I always find a lot of cool stuff in here when I come to LA to visit. If you're someone that likes the John Varvatos look here's another option for you. Staff is always friendly and welcoming. I recommend shopping here.
google avatar

Michele B.

Yelp
Love, love, love. Hip and fabulous! Store personnel very helpful and not snooty at all. Made two awesome purchases today, and I will be back for more!!!
google avatar

Joe C.

Yelp
This place is unique in which they have some rare clothes and sizes especially for skinny man like me. ;) I love Julius, Heat, and Damir Doma. Oh, don't forget the shoes. I bought 5 pairs here a couple months ago. I can understand how people feel regarding their customer services thought. I agree they can be very pushy at times. I can put up with their customer services after all I am here b/c of the unique clothes.

Yelp
Had never been at H. Lorenzo before and wasn't sure what to expect but have to say I was very impressed by the selection of designers here and overall layout of the stores. Very fashion forward and cool especially for sunset plaza. Definitely was a nice surprise!

Yelp
If you are looking to buy a piece of clothing that will not only make you STAND OUT from EVERYONE ELSE ON THE PLANET but it will make you feel good, confident and sexy when you wear it....well then, I HIGHLY SUGGEST you take a little stroll through H Lorenzo. The first time I went there I had no idea what I was even getting myself into. However, when I walked into that store - wow. That's all I have to say. I haven't been into many stores where I WANT TO BUY EVERY SINGLE ITEM!!! But when I go here, that's exactly what I want to do (dangerous, but in a good way ;) ). Their clothing is so one-of-a-kind. And they carry a lot of stuff that not too many other stores/boutiques/etc. carry which is amazing because I don't like wearing what EVERYONE else on the planet is wearing, EVER! The first time I shopped here I purchase a pair of Toga Pulla Sandals, a top that was cut super funky and dope, and a pair of the most comfortable leggings ON THE PLANET by my FAVORITE DESIGNER EVER WHO IS SO SO SO SO AMAZING Bernhard Willhelm. WOW! Anyways, I could go on for days about this place (esp. Toga Pulla & Bernhard Willhelm) because they changed my life and are the best things to have ever happened but I'll just stop here and say, do yourself a favor, if you're looking for a store that will make you look UNIQUE and feel good, shop here. Trust me, you will NOT be disappointed...

J Z.

Yelp
sooooo sunset blvd. i've been here a few times. the staff wasn't helpful each time. seems like they're not particularly interested in helping you find something and making a sale. merchandising could be better. would be helpful if the racks were labelled with the brand names. interior is crazy-gaudy-shiny, which i think detracts from seeing the clothing in its best light.

Megan S.

Yelp
H. Lorenzo has great customer service and features local designers like Mason, Knomadic, and Drifters. The prices start at 300 and go up. Not a bad store.

Nikki M.

Yelp
Absolutely love H Lorenzo. From the clothes they carry to the people who work there, it's one of the best shopping experiences you can have!!! The woman's director, Francesca is the best thing about the one of Sunset! Her style is impeccable and she makes shopping there a party!

Chris L.

Yelp
good stuff. lots of high end japanese stuff you cant find elsewhere, like diet butcher, julius, viridi anne. prices are highly exaggerated, the julius leather pants that retail for like 600-800 dollars in japan costs like 2000 plus taxes over there. sales people are friendly, but too friendly, they are way too pushy, making customers try on stuff they don't even like.

Joe H.

Yelp
Ok... Men shop, as women do, to get clothing that people will notice them in. If nothing else, a woman walking up to a man and simply saying I LOVE that shirt or where did you get those pants? Is the reason we shop at stores like this. ANYONE can shop at Nordstrom's or Barney's or even here. It's the selection of clothing that makes the difference. You really don't have to buy anything, no one is putting a gun to your head. The staff I've found to be both un helpful and at the same time very helpful. If I need high end right now, don't have time to go looking around to assemble an outfit from bits of this and pieces of that, go to H. Lorenzo's and look around. What's it going to hurt except your wallet a little bit or maybe a lot? The clothes ARE expensive. But if you're in a club and a hot woman walks up to you and says, "that's the coolest shirt I think I've ever seen." (yes, that's what she said) does it REALLY matter at that time how much it costs? THAT'S WHY you bought it. Isn't it?
