Where to Find the Best Soups and Stews in Seattle

"There are plenty of places around the city to get hot and sour soup, but the longtime International District probably has one of the most sought-after versions: silky, with a pleasant balance of tang and spice. The minced crab meat with fried fish maw soup isn’t a bad alternative, either." - Jenise Silva, Eater Staff

I visited this restaurant around 11 PM on a weeknight, it was one of the few options open. The staff were very friendly and attentive, but the meal was not very good. We ordered a honey walnut shrimp, shrimp fried rice, and egg rolls. The honey walnut shrimp and egg rolls we’re not very good, but the shrimp fried rice was good.

On street parking. Free street parking on Sundays brought to you by the city. Paid parking across the street. I did take out. Not bad. Orange chicken was decent. Chicken fried rice lacks flavor but nothing a little hot sauce cant fix. Both for $35; kinda steep but good for the area. I'll come back 6 months from now for that reason ☺️. Im cheap lol

When I stopped here, I wanted to grab a bite, but it looked empty, at around 4pm, and I honestly wasn't sure if they were closed for 落場 ('il riposo' if you may...). So I can't offer much about the food or the service here, but what I can offer is... Bruce Lee Fact: Bruce and his students often trained wherever they could find space. One of the first locations where they would gather to do what they do, was right here. Long before it was a restaurant. Next time I'm in the area though, I'd love to give this place a try!

Gross egg foo young. Look at it. It's mush! Them I ordered the crab Rangoon that comes with 8 pieces, but I only got six. The egg rolls are also gross and mushy. They come in a package of four. Bad idea to spend over $50 there.

They were still open at 1AM while it was snowing. Wanted something hot and soupy. Ordered the wonton noodle soup for $9.95 Service was friendly Cleanliness was very clean Price is fair Portion was average Taste was normal (savory broth and pork wonton) They had a few late night customers. I'd come back to try something else :)

If other restaurants hadn‘t closed, I wouldn’t have chosen them, because this is the fifth time I‘ve failed.

Ho Ho is incredible every time we have it. Ordering from Ho Ho has been a Christmas tradition of my partner and I for 4 years. Their food is always fresh, hot, and delicious, even when traveling to West Seattle. They vent everything so it doesn't get soggy. We're big fans of their duck, their vast selection of wonton soups, honey walnut prawns, fried rice, congees, pepper chicken wings, everything really. We love treating out family to Ho Ho when they visit Seattle. Conveniently located in the ID near I5/Capitol Hill entry points. The ambiance is warm and inviting. The staff is is so nice and welcoming. They even have a nice wall memorializing Bruce Lee's dojo. If you're looking for a bit of good history, history, and a nice experience Ho Ho is the place.

Food was edible but not very good. Definitely not worth $70 for the 3 items we got.
