Homage Coffee

This coffee spot is in a great location right in between all the shops and boutiques in Ballard, making it the perfect place to stop and take a break while exploring the area. Seating fills up pretty quickly, which is something to keep in mind, but the coffee is great! My vanilla latte was smooth and well-balanced—no bitterness, just a really solid cup. A great go-to if you’re in the neighborhood and craving a quality latte.

As an Australian looking for coffee in Seattle over years of visiting, Homage is the one place where we’ve found excellent specialty coffee equivalent to what we’re used to back home. Well done to the whole team - this shop is an absolute gem! All of their milk drinks are fantastic, or try the Shakerato for something different- it’s incredible!

Great place for coffee in Ballard. The place is small and gets surprisingly busy fast. The service is good besides that they made my iced matcha latte a hot matcha latte. The matcha I had exceeded my expectations. Cute space and spot, I recommend and would come back!

Moved to Seattle in November and have been trying shops nonstop. This has easily been my favorite. If you’re a modern specialty enthusiast, this is your place. Sleek design, dialed coffee, and a staff that knows what they’re doing! I will be back!

Homage Coffee is a gem. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between relaxing and energizing—it's filled with plants and has comfortable seating, making it a great place to settle in. The coffee itself is top-notch and the prices are right on par with what you'd expect in Seattle. We didn't try any of the food this time around, so I can't speak to that. What really set this place apart for us was the incredible service. The staff were so friendly and took the time to explain their different coffee options. Even double-checking our order to make sure it was exactly what we wanted. Definitely a try!

Owners Clinton and Rachel have done such a fabulous job with this space - making it a welcoming and delightful coffee experience in the heart of historic Ballard. Rachel makes all the ceramics your coffee arrives in, with a selection of pieces available to purchase. Clinton’s wide knowledge of coffee will knock your socks off, and his passion and love for it shines in each cup. Truly the best humans behind this space! I did a popup with them recently and each and every one of their customers are truly genuine and kind. The kind of welcoming small neighborhood spot you want out of a coffee shop experience. An absolute gem!

Absolutely love this coffee shop the best in the city by a mile. They serve a variety of different roasters, profiles and do a very good job brewing their coffee. Clinton and Rachel were both knowledgeable about the different styles of coffees they serve, very nice to chat with and answered any questions I had. Highly recommend this coffee shop!

Came here after a stroll in the market and had such a pleasant time! I ordered an iced matcha latte with their seasonal syrup which is a watermelon syrup. At first I was a bit skeptical about how the syrup would taste in the matcha and it ended up being such a subtle but refreshing flavor. It didn’t overpower the flavor of the matcha which I really appreciated. The coffee shop itself is adorable and I love how light and decorated it is on the inside! Would def recommend coming here, prices are normal and not insanely overcharged.

Homage Coffee House took over the former Root location. I'm glad the indie spot continues on...plentiful natural light, wonderful aesthetic with plants, ceramics, and books. Welcoming owner, SeaWolf baked goods, savored a well crafted mocha, while soaking in unique vibe onsite. Great overhead playlist too during this visit (1/22/25). There's outdoor sidewalk seating, but on this chilly winter afternoon really glad for their indoor perimeter seating. Thankfully, not overly crowded like some indie cafes further down Ballard Ave NW. Although, one needs to be mindful of the pricey street parking. Perfect to soak sunrays, read, write, listen to tunes, chat, and just be.

The couple who owns this cute coffee shop is very knowledgeable about their coffee, especially their pour overs! My boyfriend got a pour over and I got an orange mocha latte which was good! You could tell they fine tuned their recipe to bring the perfect notes out of each coffee bean. Can't wait to come back!
