Google
Ok this is a whole in the wall and when we got there we weren’t sure what to think. But we sat down ordered and holy S#1t I’m glad we did. I ordered pastor tacos and the tamales with a Horchata , chips and guac. The depth of flavor was crazy. My colleague ordered the Birria Tacos. He gave me one and they were the best I have ever had. My other colleague got chicken tacos and rice and beans. So good We left full and happy and planning our next trip down. Go here, don’t worry when you get there it’s a small place but the staff and cooks are so great.

Google
We came in for a weekday lunch and ordered the barria tacos. We also ordered enchilada but didn't take a picture. Their barria consome was flavorful and the portion size of the tacos were super, compared to other places I've had. Their customer service could be more attentive because there was a Hispanic couple that came after us but were served before me and my husband.

Google
Semi friendly people and very clean and neat restaurant! A bit on the spendy side and the carnitas were dry and not much flavor though. Would definitely recommend to friends and family!

Google
Birria was bomb, owner was super friendly. Very generous on the protein, my go to stop for birria.

Audrina Filoteo

Google
The Birria and Consome was so gas I genuinely was gonna cry from how good it was. Sorry I took a few bites in the photo but mama was hungry, COME HERE FOR THE BEST BIRRIA TACOS🙏

Justin

Google
One of the best birria tacos I’ve had here in the cities. I can normally eat 5-6 street tacos depending on how big they are, but I could barley finish 2 of their tacos. They were stuff with meat!! The stew was super flavorful! If you like spicy make sure you ask for their special ghost pepper sauce. 😋

Google
The first time there was great and fresh.... however I didn't know what to get because there were really no pictures of choices of food, there was a food menu to many things to look at so I ordered the best thing they stated..a bit dim could use a pop of color ..I love the nice small dining area...The cashier was so nice...I must say pretty good....and food was nice and hot forgot to add cheese on my beans...

Google
A family owned business serving delicious Mexican food with a clear love for detail. My favorite! I like the chicken enchiladas in green sauce (Enchiladas Verdes). We also love the Beef Birria tacos. Vegetarian options also available.

Samantha R.

Yelp
Please come here and get the birria tacos. Huge portions and super flavorful. My favorite tacos in Minnesota.

Yelp
Enjoyed lunch at Homi Mexican. Big menu of options but I knew what I wanted before I walked in. I've driven by many y times as saw the board outside the front door- "We serve Birria Tacos!" That's what drew me in and that was what I ordered. The inside it basic but functional about 6-7 tables. I was greeted by a lovely lady for my order. She was friendly and professional. She took my order and asked if I wanted a beverage? She then suggested a Limonata. I said yes! The food arrived quickly and smoking hot. The portion was 3 generously stuffed double tortilla shells packed with melted cheese, beef and topped with cilantro and onions. The consommé was warm and helped take off some of the temperature of the tacos. The tacos came with a green salsa that I tasted and knew was to spicy for my taste. A side of rice and beans are included but I opted for just rice. The tacos were very delicious with tender shredded beef. After 2 of the three I had to ask for a to go box. Great food and service.

Yelp
This place has the best birria tacos I've tried in the twin cities. There's no place you can find them this good, flavorful and packed with birria! I don't consider myself a picky eater but I do get picky when it comes to tacos. When I'm asked where are the best tacos, I never have an answer... but now I have a suggestion if I'm ever asked. A suggestion that I know won't disappoint. First of all, the tacos were served generously. The tortilla was warmed up with some of the birria meat juice for flavor, double tortilla with melted mozzarella in between, jam packed of birria-- they were not shy adding that meat on these tacos. Second, the meat was cooked to perfection, full of flavor and juicy. Finally, the consomé was delicious, bold and great for dipping the tacos. I was impressed by the price, typically this meal costs $15 but with such little meat in other places but here it was huge. I even took a taco to go because I could not finish them. In conclusion, you should go try these tacos! The restaurant itself is nothing fancy, just functional to operate the business. I do hope they improve this to create a more welcoming dine-in experience. I noticed they have plenty of take-out orders, so it makes sense that their focus isn't on how the dine-in area looks like.

Yelp
Homi Mexican Restaurant has definitely made it to my good side, and I'm excited to support this business. This is a mom & pop shop that offers authentic Mexican Food with bold flavors in the Rondo Neighborhood. Conveniently located on University and Victoria, this location has access to both the Light Rail and the bus line, and not far from either Dale or Lexington where patrons can connect to highway 94. There are multiple food options nearby, though there are plenty of choices on the menu for everyone (including vegetarian options) The restaurant is small, and there are a few tables that seat 2-3 people each. The parking lot is located behind the building off of Victoria, and it is very small with limited parking. Both the customer service and the product has improved since my last visit. I feel like the food taste better every time I order. It's so good! Yesterday, I called around 7 pm to place an order for pick-up of the Birria Tacos with 2 sides of rice and beans. Ever since I've ordered them, it's been my go-to order every single time! We headed to Homi from the West Side and let them know we would be there in 20 minutes. The main lady who works there called us back at 7:20 pm to let us know our food was ready and to check on our ETA. We let her know we were just arriving to the location and would be inside momentarily. I appreciated her wanting to get our food to us while it was hot and ready. The Birria Taco meal is very filling. I am able to order 1 order of the Birria Tacos with 2 rice and 2 beans and feed my one-year-old son and I and still have leftovers! I would recommend Homi Mexican Restaurant to anyone looking for bold flavors and authentic Mexican Food in the Twin Cities.

Wynter L.

Yelp
I have Been supporting this business for years! I called to let them know the past two times my food was burnt, instead of them trying to make it right they chose to argue and be beyond rude. I'm not a complainer and didn't even ask for a refund but the customer service or lack there of that I was given is unacceptable. And like I said i have supported this business for years. Never again!

Mike D.

Yelp
Authentic is how I would describe everything about this dining experience. The place is a hole in the wall. There are only a few tables. The decoration is simple. The colors are bright. We were greeted and welcomed warmly. The menus are extensive and it was hard to choose. The Birria tacos were big and DELICIOUS. The bean and queso dip was a little on the cool side, but we scraped the bowl clean. The chile rellenos were jalapeños, but the hostess warned us of this ahead of time. Horchata was delicious. Good value for the money. They did a big food-for-delivery business, but I would recommend making the trip. It was delightful.

Doua Chi V.

Yelp
This place is quite good, but the wait is LONG. We got some burritos, menudo, tacos and tamales. The sauce is very good and full of flavors which I love. My husband got the asada burrito and i got the cabeza, meat are perfectly seasoned and juicy which makes the burritos taste awesome! The menudo is good BUT too much hominy!! ! But it is Very flavorful and tasty, I've never had menudo this tasty before. The tamales is actually very dry, so I wouldn't recommend it. Overall, its good but quite pricey. I'll definitely go back again for some more mexican food

Bob A.

Yelp
I returned here for the first time in a while based on some good buzz, and the buzz was not kiddin'! My friend actually drove all the way from Maple Grove at lunchtime on a weekday because he was so excited about how good he heard their new birria tacos are. We both got them and we were both really, really satisfied! Not only that, everything else we had was good enough to warrant a new review with top ratings; I feel very confident in recommending this to anyone hungry for Mexican food in the Twin Cities. The birria tacos are shredded beef in a double-tortilla-plus-cheese situation, served with a broth which you can dip the tacos in or eat like a soup. We dipped and dipped and dipped and it was awesome. My friend, who, again, went way out of his way to have his craving for good birrias satisfied, was even more impressed with their horchata. He loves authentic horchata and thinks this was one of the best he's ever had. The elotes, Mexican-style corn on the cob, was exceptionally yummy even if it looked modest. Even my sides of beans and rice were above average; they were just really well made. They have a number of delivery options now, so I expect to be ordering from them much more regularly, and I expect my pal to drop by from the MG more often as well!

Greg B.

Yelp
Arrived at 1 PM on a weekday and served within 20 mins. Good crispy tacos, beans and rice. This definitely qualifies as "Hole in the Wall" as for physical setting, it's difficult to even fit into the table and chairs when others are present, so it's amazing to see the lengthy menu they offer.

Gita B.

Yelp
Food was a okay! I ordered online one afternoon and seemed like they hadn't seen the order, so it took a little time after I arrived 15 mins after I placed the order. The burrito was fine. Chips and guacamole were great. Overall a good hold in the wall Mexican place with a wide variety of options on the menu.

Luke G.

Yelp
I've jumped on the birria craze and decided to try Homi because it was presented on a list of good spots for this. The birria broth was extremely good. It wasn't overly salty, and I believe the broth was made from beef (it's supposedly made from lamb traditionally)! It was hard to dip my taco because the broth made me want to eat it like soup instead. The tacos came with two shells and had cheese in between. Creative, but it didn't add much because the fried shells appeared to be fried inconsistently because of this. Also, the tamales were a little bland and under seasoned. I always want to be wowed by tamales, but a lot of offerings seem to suffer from this same critique. Maybe this is my, "it's not you, it's me" moment. Regardless, I wasn't impressed. This place is better than any comparable chain, but if pitted authentic vs authentic it'd lose to other places in the cities.

Austin H.

Yelp
Barilla tacos, Horchata, & Elotes. Make sure you get those 3 things. Absolutely delicious and the owners were very friendly too!

M M.

Yelp
My new favorite Mexican restaurant. The food is so so good and huge portions. I got the birra tacos and they were fantastic and also they have the best horchata.

Trey F.

Yelp
Food is bursting with flavor and the portion sizes are worth every dollar. Ordered Birria tacos and I have never tasted a better plate of birria tacos and consome. Great customer service and great variety. 100% recommended.

Mikayla K.

Yelp
Food: The food was spectacular. I had the carne asada tacos with a side of rice and beans. The steak was a tiny tiny bit overdone but that's being picky. The tacos came with a generous amount of meat. Where the food really shone was with the burrito my boyfriend ordered. He got a steak burrito (add chorizo) without tomatoes or lettuce. He LOVED it. Ate every bite even though the burrito was the size of a small animal. It seems like they mix up all the burrito filling first and then put it in the tortilla, rather than layering them on top of each other in the tortilla. It made for a delicious evenly distributed mixture. The only downside is that the menu is a little expensive. Venue: A small storefront that opens up into a decent sized sit down restaurant. I was surprised to find that you didn't order at the counter, but they have menus they bring to your table.

Rachel D.

Yelp
So, we went back to Homis' , this time both my sister and I had the red enchilada combo and my granddaughter had the bean and cheese burrito. OMG, the enchiladas were so delicious, just enough crunch to it but not too much so you couldn't cut with the fork, the red enchilada sauce is so good and a little spicey, best enchiladas I have ever had and I m from Southern California, one of the great states for Mexican food. If you ever order a burrito and don't plan on taking it home to finish it, order the small because the big burrito is huge! My son had the leftovers and said it was really good! As the time before, the owner, really friendly and nice, came out and talked to us, service was really great and fast. Love this place!!!

Camille C.

Yelp
Truly authentic Mexican. The guacamole is amazing and the refried beans are the real deal. We ordered tacos and enchiladas. We love this neighborhood gem.

Dale G.

Yelp
Just moved into the neighborhood and wanted to try this place out. I got the enchiladas verde. It was spicier than I expected. I love spicy and can handle a good amount and this was right towards the top of my tolerance. So beware if you can't handle spice for that dish. If you like spice, this dish should do the trick. I also got chips and Guacamole. Seems like they make their chips in house. I think the food was pretty good. Things tasted under seasoned - especially the guacamole. They have a huge menu that can be overwhelming. I didn't have anything amazing. I'm not sure if I'll go back. It might be worth another try but I'm not going to go out of my way for this place and I wouldn't recommend it after my initial test run.

Sehaj S.

Yelp
Sooo glad this place is in our neighborhood! The food is amazingly flavorful and, shocker, ACTUALLY spicy. I had no idea when I moved to the Twin Cities I'd be sacrificing any heat in my food (sorry, Minnesotans, you know it's true). We've ordered takeout and delivery and both were on time and the food was piping hot. Enmoladas - fantastic and delicious; a super solid mole enchilada Nopales con Chicharron - tasty but the pork skin is an acquired texture Pollo en Pipian Rojo - AWESOME; creamy, rich, delicious Tacos Dorados - such comfort food; who doesn't love fried tacos?! Carne Asada Burrito - again, great comfort food; the "big" is massive Pozole Verde - delicious and pretty damn fiery; yay for heat! Rice and Beans - normally these sides are just fine, but both are super flavorful here The people who work here are lovely and I'm so happy to support this local business. Can't wait to try everything else on the menu as soon as possible!

Pa V.

Yelp
Growing up around the area, I've had take out from Homi's several times and am always satisfied. First off the menu is HUGE- there is definitely something on here for everyone and they could make certain dishes vegan/vegetarian/ you choose the protein as preferred. The place is a bit small and often times busy during lunchtime so I would recommend doing take out. There is a very small parking lot in the back and the bathroom light is outside the bathroom (you will thank me later). The serve can be a bit slow so I also suggest giving yourself time to eat or call for your order in advance. As for the food, I've had the tacos, fajitas and tamales and highly recommend these classics. The fried tacos and Mexican Chicken Mole are also good. I do agree with some of the yelpers that the dishes could use more seasoning and salt but I would suggest asking for a side of salsa (I prefer spicy) or hot sauce and it helps. If you dine in, there is also salt shakers at each table. I recommend getting the chef plate "you eat what I crave that day to eat" lol if you're feeling adventurous and want to hear a good story- when I ordered this, our server gave me the back story of the dish (where in Mexico this dish originated from, why and what she loves about the dish) and it just really added a great extra personal touch to the delicious food and friendly service.

Charlie K.

Yelp
Excellent food, quick service, kind employees. So glad to have a new taco place in the area!

Preston B.

Yelp
The portions were kind of small but the food did not slack on flavor. I got the beef fried tacos and the chicken fried tacos. They had amazing flavor and most importantly they had a big time crunch.

Vee V.

Yelp
Decent, but there are plenty other of 4/5 star Mexican restaurants that will better satisfy a craving. I came pretty early, 10am. It was an empty restaurant, yet service was slow, and water was never refilled. We tried the elote, pork gorditas, chicken tamales, and rice and beans. The elote was steaming hot and flavorful with a balance of sweet, savory, and spicy, definitely the star of the meal. The gorditas were extremely bland and greasy, and tamales were very dry. The rice and beans were good. There were a lot of other dishes that looked interesting, but not a place I'm going out of my way to visit again.

Kathy M.

Yelp
I want to give them more stars, but the challenges are just weighing them down. 5 stars on food and flavor. The Pork with Cactus leaves is so good! I've never seen this dish anywhere else in the Twin Cities, so I came here by myself just to satisfy this craving I've been having. I love spicy food and this green sauce is so flavorful and has a tang to it that is just so satisfying. The pork was cooked perfectly. It has a stew-like quality to it that is comforting and had me eating after I was full. Unfortunately, the sides were less desirable this visit. The rice was hard like it had been over nuked in the microwave and the beans weren't very flavorful. This is not necessarily what I've experienced before, but I couldn't ignore it and have to share it. Finally, the service is just so incredibly slow. SO sloooooooow. I can understand the time it takes to prepare home cooked meals, which is truly what I believe they do, but I was the only person there at 2pm and it took at least 5 minutes for her to come out to greet me and bring me water. It took an equally unusual amount of time for her to bring me a container at the end of the meal. It seemed like she was the only person there and she was nice, but my biggest critique and suggestion for Homi is to invest in staff that can speed up the experience.

Kaley O.

Yelp
This place is delicious! It was my first time jumping on the birria taco craze and I was not disappointed. The tacos were perfect and the consumé was tasty. The only thing is that it is a little expensive because they just raised their prices. Its worth it if you want a good quality meal though! The tacos were very filling and had a generous portion of meat.

Steffon N.

Yelp
The food here is horrible. I asked for a Nacho Plate and the beef was not seasoned at it all. She told me it would be an extra 3.95 for beans and rice which by the way was suppose to be how the Nacho Plate was made. They did even offer salsa. I had to ask for it and the meal cost meal 15.00. A word to the wise if you want good Mexican food try Treasa in Mendota Heights. I will never eat at Homi restaurant ever again. The food is so bad!

An'Nisa P.

Yelp
5 stars for the food and service. The dining are is small and pretty much just a sitting area, nothing too fancy. It would've been nice to have a clean table to sit at. If you are there for take out. You won't be disappointed. The food was made fresh and it was hot when it came with the table. I ordered tacos barrías with rice and beans and everything was so delicious! My friends enchiladas looked so yummy as well! I will definitely go again!

Katherine B.

Yelp
Hi Tacos. I love you. I think this is maybe my 3rd or 4th favorite taco place in the metro area, which is saying quite a bit. I eat a lot of tacos. It's true. Have you just spent some time at our beautiful capital building? I highly recommend Homi for your post protest plates.

John C.

Yelp
I had heard great things about Homi from coworkers, but never visited or ordered in before today. Damn that was a mistake. We had some of the best tamales we've ever had and the salsas they came with were fiery and full of flavor. The tostadas we got were also pretty good and definitely hit the spot. The real kicker is that we were celebrating a birthday and they sent along a free piece of tres leches cake that was absolutely delicious. I'm not a huge fan of sweets, but I know what I'm ordering for my next celebration.

McKenzie S.

Yelp
Being trapped in quarantine has really given me the opportunity to search for new take out places in the great city of St. Paul. I'm not mad about it because I was able to find my new go-to Mexican restaurant. I have now ordered from Homi Mexican 3 times, and each time has been excellent. Their take out service is fast and easy. We have always placed our orders over the phone and picked it up. I'm the kind of person that finds something I like and then just keeps ordering it. Oops! But I mean when it's good, it's good. All 3 times I have had the carne asada tacos. They are the traditional style with meat, onion, cilantro and salsa. When the meat is that good, that's all you need. The tacos come in a set of 3 which for me is the perfect size. The beef is chopped and tender, not chewy at all. I highly recommend. Can't really go wrong here. My boyfriend always orders the pork burrito. The burritos come in a small or large size. The large is HUGE! While I haven't tasted the burrito, the boyfriend is always happy with his order and continues to get it so it must be delicious! If you're looking for authentic Mexican in St. Paul, this is it!

Raymond V.

Yelp
Best Berria Taco's ever. I haven't tried many other things in there menu because I can't get over how good there tacos is. There is parking in the back but the entrance is behind the building which isn't the best but they also have delivery.

Saksham R.

Yelp
Seldom do I find a place where I feel taken care of. I went in and felt at home. The hostess, who is also the co-owner was the sweetest and I just honestly trusted her to make my choices. Haha and take care of me too maybe hahaha. So I got the slow cooked pork. A bomb a** fresh home made guacamole and chips and the empanadas. This is the kind of place where you want to try every single thing on the item. I am so appreciative of a home cooked experience. She makes sure all her ingredients are fresh and you could tell, from the meat to the fresh sauces. I will be going here again, to talk to the hostess and order me the best home made meal a hungry foodie could ask for.

Dennis A.

Yelp
Dropped in for lunch to "give this place a try". As other customers have described, it's not much to look at. But put your doubts aside. Homi is the real deal. The proprietors are warm and welcoming and their home made food excels. We had the Barria tocos, refried beans, rice and beef broth soup. OMG -- what flavors. Even though we live across town (in the western suburbs of Minneapolis) we look forward to a return to try their other entrees.

Sarah W.

Yelp
Hortencia's Tres Leches will change your life. Obsessed with the cheese enchiladas. Beware of the green sauce if your taste buds are "Minnesota spicy".

Sammy S.

Yelp
Homi is an AMAZING restaurant!! wow I love it so much!! yes they have a big menu and it can be hard to know what to order, so maybe you should all go multiple time and try new things every time!! yummy MY favorite thing here is the BEEF BIRRIA - it is soooooooo good!! it comes with amazing stewed beef with flavorful broth and a stack of tortillas and you can build your own lil tacos. I love it!! Enchiladas are good here. Enmoladas are great (enchilada with mole sauce) i really like the potato & chorizo empanadas good guac and salsa and chips, nice people work here!! Great option for takeout! Call ahead to order, they have parking lot in the back, you can go through the back door to get inside and pay + pick up your order! make sure to wear a mask and keep everybody safe :-)!!!

Nicole T.

Yelp
The reviews are so good I have to believe we had an off night. The beans and my shrimp Diablo tasted burned. My daughters fajitas were steak um quality meat and my husband (who's more of a basic guy) wished we had just gone to Taco Bell for his burrito. So - we tried the full gamut - super authentic (shrimp Diablo - burned and literally whole shrimp, with the heads, all legs, poop chute - not even peel and eat) to small steak burrito and it was a complete waste of $70. The prices are much higher than Taco Bell but I would have been more satisfied there. I don't have a Taco Bell pallet (although there is a time and a place) but I wanted my money back it was so bad.

vanessa f.

Yelp
WONDERFUL! very filling portions with robust flavor! the owner is also very kind! definitley the type of place to become a regular at because they treated me so well the first time!

MK V.

Yelp
The customer service is excellent! I ordered 2 steak tacos and 2 beef tongue tacos today but they were out of beef tongue. He called me right away to inform me so I asked to replace it with birrias tacos. I was only expecting just 1 order to cover the price of 2 tongue tacos but I got 2 orders! Everything was yummy and great customer service made it even better!

Nick R.

Yelp
Homi is a wonderful place, been going on and off for years. Once you leave the South Side and the real delicious Mexican places in St. Paul, it can be hard to find really good as opposed to just medium good food. Homi is one of the really really good places, IF you know what to order. For example. Their enchiladas are amazing (especially the ones with salsa verde, the rojas variety is just not as flavorful), but honestly their enmoladas are just really good. Tamales, excellent made with delicious masa; some tacos not stellar. There are many more examples that you can see from scrolling through the reviews. Because this is a family restaurant, they do their staples very very well, and the rest is just to fill out the menu. I don't view this as a negative. In fact, it's a big positive in my mind, because when you order something they're good at you know you'll get amazing food.

Rachel H.

Yelp
If I could give this location zero stars I would. I actually walked outside to make sure I was at the right place based on other yelp reviews. We decided to eat lunch at Homi Mexican based on Yelp Reviews but I regret ever coming. We stopped in on a Friday around 1 PM. The restaurant was pretty busy which I thought was a good sign. We ordered our food at the counter and paid in advance. It took an extremely long time to get our food. It time we got our entrées before getting the chips and guacamole. We've been asked several times for the chips and guac. The guacamole had zero flavor. We were constantly adding salt and the need of acidity was unquestionable. Without a doubt this was the worst chips and guacamole I have ever had. The enchiladas were completely drenched in sauce. Everything ended up becoming a soupy mess. My empanadas were filled with the wrong filling. I sent them back and the following order was also wrong. I was eventually told that they did not have any of the empanadas I actually ordered. We were here for two hours and it want until the last five minutes I got the elote I ordered. This was the only thing I enjoyed about my visit. I don't know if this was a fluke or what but we won't be back. We work so close to this restaurant and it's a bummer that we can't utilize it in the future.

Yelp
Parked by the steakhouse. Ordered 3 chicken toastadas, busy day but only took about 10 minutes. Very yummy. Good price.

Yelp
I've driven past this place countless times and finally stopped to give it a try. I got the birria tacos which were delicious, the broth was hot and not too salty and there was a decent amount of meat inside. All the ingredients tasted fresh and the customer service was excellent. The woman working there recommended that we take our extra broth home and make noodle soup with it which was a fantastic suggestion! I'll definitely come back.

Yelp
Went to Homi today. Expected authentic Mexican food. When I tried the soup it tasted watered down not much flavor beyond meat water. 15 dollars for soup that tasted like water. Ordered carne asada tacos they were really dry not seasoned. My Jamaica was also watered down disappointed with this place wouldn't come again.

Yelp
Really loved the food here. I got a limonada with the barbacoa gorditas, rice, beans, and a side of chips with guacamole. My friend got the 3 tamales plate and was able to get each one a different meat - beef, chicken, and pork (she said the beef was her favorite). I thought everything was well prepared and it reminded me a lot of the Mexican food I grew up eating in Arizona. Everything was less than $30 after tax. There's plenty of free parking in the back with a rear entry. I would definitely come back to try something else off the very extensive menu.

Yelp
My husband and I feel like the cartoon characters passed out in a corner with their shirts barely covering their stomachs. I agree with Lauren G. Homi is our new Chipotle. The place might be construed as aesthetically challenged to the fine diner, but who cares. This place is amazing. I encourage you to go if you are super hungry like I was, but don't expect to finish it one sitting. Do I forsee a new t-shirt in the works? The burritos are enormous and make Chipotle's burrito look like one half of a twin. It's a 2 lb gluttony of authentic delight. I ordered the steak and my husband had the shredded chicken. They were both overflowing with meat, lettuce, rice and beans. It's by far the best burrito I have ever eaten in MN. The salsa was unique, chips were alright. Excellent food. We are customers indefintely.

Yelp
I don't usually do these reviews but wanted to give this family-owned restaurant a shout out....Our family met at the restaurant and we all tried different dishes- we LOVED EVERYTHING!! We had Birria Tacos, a Carnitas burrito, Tamales (cheese and jalapeno), Enfrijoladas, chips/guac-so much food! The owner visited with us a few times during our meal and made us feel very welcome. If you want amazing food, this is the place!!

Yelp
Bria tacos are amazing! The chicken burrito was ok, I probably will not get that again because it was kind of bland. I will go back to try other menu options and for more tacos.

Yelp
This restaurant was a big disappointment. Ordered the regular taco plate with al pastor (they only allow you to choose one meat), the birria tacos, and the horchata. First, the tortillas had a very odd color and texture to them, almost like they were previously frozen. They came with very little meat and were mostly (sweet?) onions and cilantro. The meat was very watery and was not al pastor. The beans and rice that came with the tacos were definitely microwaved. The birria tacos came with consomme and had more meat but the consomme had no spice and tasted of only clove and cinnamon. The horchata was also not very good. It tasted like sweet milk with not much else in it.

Yelp
This is no fancy restaurant, so ignore the reviews that rate lower simply because of this. It doesn't pretend to be anything it's not. It's simple, classic, and the best kind of humble. Fantastic, authentic food. Gracious service. Family run. The owner came out and talked to us about the food, business, and origins, making us feel very welcome and appreciated as new customers. We can't wait to go back!
