Well, well, well, Buckle up! Adventure calls because we're about to take a journey to Hope's Frybread, and trust me, it's a ride you won't forget!
First things first, let's talk about the menu. It's simple, but don't let that fool you because the dishes are jam-packed with flavor. And the best part? Everything can be made vegan or vegetarian! The employee said that they swap out meat for portabello mushroom, which I have to say is a pretty darn good substitute. I mean, who needs meat when you've got mushrooms, right?
But what really sets Hope's Frybread apart is their fusion approach to ingredients. They take a Native American staple food and mix it up with different cultural ingredients, creating some truly unique dishes. The Asian Persuasion Frybread with chicken and pineapple is a flavor explosion according to my mom. She said it has a kick of spice.
Now, I have to admit, I did try the vegetarian Navajo Frybread Taco and while it was delicious, I did feel like it was missing a little something. The portabello mushrooms! You know what else? A little more cheese! So, dear Hope's Frybread, if you're reading this, please sprinkle a little extra cheese on top for me next time, and please don't forget the portabello mushrooms. I thought it was the substitute, but instead. I got all beans. (sad face)
But let's talk about dessert because, oh boy, did we have a treat! We tried the Banana with Nutella, which was an interesting mix of an Italian chocolate spread with tropical fruit. It's like Italy and Hawaii had a love child, and that love child was delicious. I mean, who knew that Nutella and bananas on a Frybread would go so well together?
Overall, I have to say that Hope's Frybread restaurant is definitely worth a visit. The price is right, the flavors are on point, and the fusion approach to ingredients is a welcome change from your usual dining experience. So, whether you're a vegan, a meat lover, or just someone who loves good food, head on over to Hope's Frybread.
