Haleem in Hyderabad, India, Is a Famous Ramadan Tradition | Eater

"A no-frills, 37-year-old Chatta Bazar institution a short walk from Charminar, this place is celebrated for its classic, piquant take on haleem—generously ladled with shorba—and for a repertoire of hearty non-vegetarian Hyderabadi dishes like paya, bheja fry, and keema roti; patrons also recommend the saffron-infused kesar chai to finish the meal." - Anusha Kulal

So finally I made it, after waiting for many days. Sounds like a decent experience overall, Food: * Mutton Keema & Tandoori Roti: ₹180 - Good, but not exceptional. * Chai: ₹25 - Average. Service: * Decent, as expected in a busy restaurant. Ambiance: * Implied to be a mass-market restaurant, so expectations should be moderate. Value: * Seems reasonable for a quick bite if you're nearby. Not worth a long drive.

Absolutely loved the food! It's truly a paradise for non-vegetarian lovers, especially with their mutton dishes, which are nothing short of delicacies. The place is heavily crowded, a clear sign of its popularity, and you can always expect fresh, flavorful food. However, it's better to avoid coming by car, as parking can be quite challenging.

Hotel Nayaab in Hyderabad serves one of the best tandoori chickens I have ever had. The chicken was perfectly smoky on the outside and tender on the inside. Every bite was full of flavor with just the right balance of spices and that classic tandoori char. The marinade had soaked deep into the meat which made it juicy and rich without being dry. It looked great, smelled amazing, and tasted even better. The best part is the price. A full tandoori chicken cost only around 300 which is very pocket friendly for the quality. If you are in Hyderabad and craving proper tandoori, Nayaab is a must try.

I went there around 11am. So Nahari-Paya was not available. Its only available in the morning and evening from 6pm. So i ordered Apricot delight as per the server suggestion and a samosa. Bot were good. Not mind blowing. Then i ordered for tea that never came. I reminded two times and still didn’t come. So i made the payment and left. Located close to charminar.

The excitement is off the charts, and I think it's that buzz that draws in so many people. Honestly, I've had better chicken biryani elsewhere than what I got here. Perhaps the other dishes are more impressive. The atmosphere isn't great either; it feels like an old building cramming people into every nook and cranny.

This place is always packed in the mornings, but the food is totally worth it! The malai paya and paya nihari are super rich and flavorful, with meat so tender it falls right off the bone. The bheja fry and the keema with khichdi is a satisfying combo. The naan is soft and fresh, great for soaking up all the delicious gravies. And don’t skip the caramel pudding cake—it’s the perfect sweet ending! The only downside is that visiting this place in the morning can be a bit tough if you are still half-asleep or tired from traveling. But honestly, the food is so good! A must-visit for meat lovers

So, we decided to visit this place for dinner. We tried the Sheermal, Nahari Paya, and Chicken Biryani. The restaurant has now extended its air-conditioned seating area, which is a nice addition. The biryani was decent but nothing exceptional. The paya was overly spicy and lacked depth in flavor, and the sheermal wasn’t as soft as expected. If you’re planning a visit, I’d recommend trying their malai paya with roti or naan for dinner. For breakfast, their khichdi and kheema are definite must-tries. There is a plenty of parking in city plaza. Biryani – 3.5/5 Sheermal & Nahari Paya – 2/5 Pricing – 5/5 Ambience – 4/5

Very very good and tasty restaurant near Charminar Located on main road. No car parking. Taste is really good. Prices are minimal. Mutton biryani is so good. Apricot delight is good. Butter naan is good. It has both AC and Non AC sections. Serving time is 5mins.
