The 19 Best Restaurants In Menorca 2024

"Torralbenc is where you’ll want to come for that one big, memorable meal. Located between Alaior and Cala’n Porter on the south-central coast, this is Menorca’s original fancy agroturisme, or rural farmstay. It’s surrounded by vineyards that produce their wines, which everyone raves about (and you’ll get well acquainted with them over dinner). Like most places, the Basque and Menorcan menu changes according to what’s in season, but you’ll eat dishes like creamy prawn rice, lobster done three ways, or mahón-cheese souffle, all out on the knockout-pretty terrace. " - isabella noble

Torralbenc Menorca

"Torralbenc occupies a farmhouse surrounded by vineyards and boasting a tranquil terrace. Modern cooking with hints of fusion from the Basque country, Central America, the Mediterranean etc, but which showcases local Menorcan products." - Michelin Inspector

Very disappointing, the grounds are nice but the service and attention given by the staff are absolutely subpar. Will not be returning and definitely would bot recommend. Definitely not what we were expecting when we booked this “luxury” property. This was especially true since we had arrived from another hotel on the island that was amazing. Would avoid staying here for a true luxury experience.

We had a wonderful experience in this spectacular property that’s situated amid olive trees and vineyards. We were staying with a baby and the team was very warm to us and made us feel very much at home. The restaurant we thought was excellent and the breakfast a special one, with most products from Menorca and the region. Highly recommended.

Such a beautiful hotel in a nice setting. The rooms were spacious, clean and well-appointed and the restaurant put out a great breakfast and good dinner. Something of an out-of-the-way location but definitely a great choice if you are in the area.

I booked a table for dinner for our last night and got extremely bad food poisoning where I couldn’t leave the room and they wouldn’t let me cancel the table without charging me 60 euros because it was within their 24hr policy. Completely unacceptable. No other restaurant I’ve dined at has ever been so unaccomodating to a sick person. Wouldn’t go here for the lack of hospitality alone.

Our experience at Hotel Torrelbenc was exceptional. The room, the staff, the restaurant, the pool, and the gardens were outstanding. We originally booked for four nights before moving to another hotel on the island. Our experience was perfect - for our first visit to Menorca. A beautiful room in a boutique finca / hotel with an outside private terrace and views of the sea. Everything was perfect. Very chilled, regenerating & welcoming. No stress. We then returned twice as our flights leaving the island were cancelled and they could not have been more accommodating. Every time we returned we loved the hotel even more. Yes everything was expensive but worth every penny. A special shout out to Orianna who was extra special ....

I recently had a disappointing experience at this restaurant, which was quite surprising given its reputation and the lovely setting. My sister and I made a reservation for two at 8:45 pm. Upon arrival, we discovered that our reservation was mistakenly made for the bar instead of the main restaurant. The hostess, who greeted us with a less-than-welcoming attitude, seemed unwilling or unable to assist in transferring our reservation to the main dining area, despite it being nearly 40% empty, likely due to the end of the season.||We were asked to sit aside while she supposedly checked on availability. However, it quickly became apparent that she made no effort to find us a table. To expedite the process, we decided to make a new reservation online, noting that there were plenty of tables available. When I mentioned this to the hostess, she responded in a rather dismissive and unhelpful manner, telling us we could do as we pleased—book online or wait. This left us feeling confused and frustrated, leading us to ask for the manager.||Instead of the actual manager, another staff member arrived and promptly seated us, while the hostess continued to deny the events and provoke us further. It was a shocking experience, especially for a place with such a beautiful garden and, from what I’ve heard, an excellent kitchen.||To add to the disappointment, the actual manager later took our food order but did so in a manner that lacked friendliness, which made us wonder if this behavior might be a reflection of the overall management style.||As someone who has been visiting the island for over a decade and owns a property here, I’ve never encountered such poor service. It’s a shame, as the setting is lovely, but this place clearly has issues that need to be addressed. I won’t be returning and would recommend trying one of the other charming fincas or restaurants nearby instead.

A beautiful hotel, we stayed for 3 nights in late August. ||Positives. |A lovely setting on a hillside a couple of kilometres inland from Cala en Porter, in the grounds of its own vineyard. ||We were given fresh lemon to drink as we checked in, the welcome was very friendly. ||We had a beautiful spacious split level room with a very comfortable four poster bed. ||A stunning setting for the swimming pool with lovely views, good poolside service. ||Breakfast is included, there is a decent buffet and plenty of cooked options. Try the fresh green juice. ||My wife enjoyed her massage in the spa. ||Friendly staff. ||Negatives. |Only one really. The restaurant. My wife is vegan, she had advised them beforehand and was assured there were options for her. Actually, there weren’t, unless you count the pork and roasted vegetables without the pork a vegan option! I didn’t notice until the following day they had charged the full price for that dish.||I will say my dishes were very nice, however, for what we had overall the value was not good. We were on the island for 10 days, we ate at many nice restaurants and had no issues with choices for my wife. ||The local white wine was decent enough, bizarrely though, you can buy it cheaper in the shops than directly from them. ||I would expect a high end restaurant to be able to produce food to suit all tastes. We had planned to eat at the hotel each night but decided to go elsewhere. We received a WhatsApp each afternoon to ask if we would be joining them for dinner. We responded to say no as there were no options for my wife, they said they are a traditional barbecue restaurant but would pass the feedback onto the kitchen. The impression we got was they have no interest in adapting to different tastes. ||Overall. |The hotel was a 5. The restaurant a 3.

This is a place we were truly sad to leave. The grounds, the pool, the rooms, the view were all stupendous. That said, the welcoming, warm, and highly skilled staff were what made the experience unforgettable. The service is impeccable in every way. The included breakfast is a feast of locally sourced produce, dairy, fruit and breads...all fresh and delicious. The food and drink at the restaurant were wonderful and the staff were always happy to accommodate our tastes and preferences. Don't miss the tour of the vineyard and the tasting of the delectable wines produced from grapes grown on the property. Claude, the sommelier, is knowledgable and amiable. The experience was educational, but more importantly, fun. Every detail of our stay was thoroughly considered and of the highest quality. This a very special place.
