"Torralbenc is where you’ll want to come for that one big, memorable meal. Located between Alaior and Cala’n Porter on the south-central coast, this is Menorca’s original fancy agroturisme, or rural farmstay. It’s surrounded by vineyards that produce their wines, which everyone raves about (and you’ll get well acquainted with them over dinner). Like most places, the Basque and Menorcan menu changes according to what’s in season, but you’ll eat dishes like creamy prawn rice, lobster done three ways, or mahón-cheese souffle, all out on the knockout-pretty terrace. " - isabella noble

"Torralbenc occupies a farmhouse surrounded by vineyards and boasting a tranquil terrace. Modern cooking with hints of fusion from the Basque country, Central America, the Mediterranean etc, but which showcases local Menorcan products." - Michelin Inspector

A beautiful hotel, we stayed for 3 nights in late August. ||Positives. |A lovely setting on a hillside a couple of kilometres inland from Cala en Porter, in the grounds of its own vineyard. ||We were given fresh lemon to drink as we checked in, the welcome was very friendly. ||We had a beautiful spacious split level room with a very comfortable four poster bed. ||A stunning setting for the swimming pool with lovely views, good poolside service. ||Breakfast is included, there is a decent buffet and plenty of cooked options. Try the fresh green juice. ||My wife enjoyed her massage in the spa. ||Friendly staff. ||Negatives. |Only one really. The restaurant. My wife is vegan, she had advised them beforehand and was assured there were options for her. Actually, there weren’t, unless you count the pork and roasted vegetables without the pork a vegan option! I didn’t notice until the following day they had charged the full price for that dish.||I will say my dishes were very nice, however, for what we had overall the value was not good. We were on the island for 10 days, we ate at many nice restaurants and had no issues with choices for my wife. ||The local white wine was decent enough, bizarrely though, you can buy it cheaper in the shops than directly from them. ||I would expect a high end restaurant to be able to produce food to suit all tastes. We had planned to eat at the hotel each night but decided to go elsewhere. We received a WhatsApp each afternoon to ask if we would be joining them for dinner. We responded to say no as there were no options for my wife, they said they are a traditional barbecue restaurant but would pass the feedback onto the kitchen. The impression we got was they have no interest in adapting to different tastes. ||Overall. |The hotel was a 5. The restaurant a 3.

I recently had a disappointing experience at this restaurant, which was quite surprising given its reputation and the lovely setting. My sister and I made a reservation for two at 8:45 pm. Upon arrival, we discovered that our reservation was mistakenly made for the bar instead of the main restaurant. The hostess, who greeted us with a less-than-welcoming attitude, seemed unwilling or unable to assist in transferring our reservation to the main dining area, despite it being nearly 40% empty, likely due to the end of the season.||We were asked to sit aside while she supposedly checked on availability. However, it quickly became apparent that she made no effort to find us a table. To expedite the process, we decided to make a new reservation online, noting that there were plenty of tables available. When I mentioned this to the hostess, she responded in a rather dismissive and unhelpful manner, telling us we could do as we pleased—book online or wait. This left us feeling confused and frustrated, leading us to ask for the manager.||Instead of the actual manager, another staff member arrived and promptly seated us, while the hostess continued to deny the events and provoke us further. It was a shocking experience, especially for a place with such a beautiful garden and, from what I’ve heard, an excellent kitchen.||To add to the disappointment, the actual manager later took our food order but did so in a manner that lacked friendliness, which made us wonder if this behavior might be a reflection of the overall management style.||As someone who has been visiting the island for over a decade and owns a property here, I’ve never encountered such poor service. It’s a shame, as the setting is lovely, but this place clearly has issues that need to be addressed. I won’t be returning and would recommend trying one of the other charming fincas or restaurants nearby instead.

Not a five star hotel. The rooms are nice but the walls are paper thin, you can hear your neighbors conversations clear as day. Patio was soaked first day of our arrival and the cushions were not changed during our stay so it pretty much rendered our private patio useless. Stopper in the tub was non functional, broke a nail trying to pry it up. The TV didn’t work at all while we were there, can’t call down to the front desk to get service — phone didn’t work either. You have to physically walk to the desk to get any assistance. It’s the small touches at these boutique hotels and TB missed the mark on several.

A horrible experience at the restaurant. There was blatant racism from the servers. We opted for the tasting menu and what a waste of money! No flow or accommodation for preferences. The waitress would have rather thrown the food at our faces with the way she was serving.

We had a dinner reservation at this restaurant. I got terribly ill the afternoon before the reservation, and we canceled about 3 hours before the dinner. I simply could not have attended. The restaurant went ahead and charged me a cancellation fee of Euro 60 - despite us calling and emailing them explaining our situation. This is absolutely shocking treatment, and completely inappropriate for an expensive place that wants to pride itself on customer service. We will never frequent this establishment - ever - and will do what we can to spread the news of how sick guests are treated here.

The hotel is beautiful in a delightful location among vineyards and olive trees, lavender and rosemary plants. The gardens are spotless, everything was very well organized, from the moment we checked in to when we checked out. Special mention to the staff, very professional and friendly all the time.

My time here was uncomfortable and the experience does not meet the price level. Not recommended for individuals or couples looking for a 5 star hotel experience. I stayed two separate nights during the same week and booked the “superior” level room each time. During my second stay, I was given the wrong room which was half the size of my first stay and the staff did nothing to resolve my concern when I brought this to their attention. The hotel is small yet clearly caters to large groups (weddings, travel tours). They don’t make it easy to setup wine tastings or vineyard tours - I wasn’t able to do a wine tour or any wine tasting experience during my stay because they only offer this once a day and spots were filled by large group reservations

It’s a beautiful setting and gorgeous hotel. We had a nice superior room on the second floor with outside terrace. Breakfast is very very good and pool and bathing area are fabulous. Lovely little gym. Complimentary yoga every day was great. Generous with linens - beach towels etc. ||The restaurant is heavily overpriced and food can be v salty. You only get 1 litre of water per person free a day. They charge guests for wine tours and you can buy the wine cheaper offsite than on: which feels odd. We had to push hard for a decent table the nights we ate at the restaurant and while friendly overall, service can sometimes be a bit supercilious.
