The 15 Best Vietnamese Restaurants in Seattle | Eater Seattle

"Huong Binh is a standout among the many restaurants at 12th and Jackson, hitting the mark with its intersection of quality and value. The grilled pork, perfectly caramelized, is a specialty, particularly as part of banh hoi thit nuong, where pork skewers accompany intricate bundles of thin rice noodles garnished with ground shrimp and scallion. The menu expands on weekends, when specials include duck noodle soup as well as blood sausage congee served with pork tongue, liver, and ear." - Jay Friedman

The Seattle Area’s Best Asian Dumplings | Eater Seattle

"The Hue dumplings known as banh bot loc are made from tapioca starch. Translucent and chewy, they’re filled with shrimp and pork and garnished with ground shrimp and green onions. Dip them into Huong Binh’s savory nuoc cham sauce that’s sweet, spicy, potent, and pungent. (If you want to grab and go, you can also find banh bat loc at the Vietnamese delis close to Huong Binh in Little Saigon.)" - Jay Friedman

Classic Restaurants Every Seattleite Must Try - Eater Seattle

"Perennial Eater 38 member Huong Binh has been an International District staple since 1993, serving up hard-to-find Vietnamese specialties. Weekends are prime time, when the already-strong menu expands to include even more impressive dishes. The broth in the various soups is always lovely and complex, and any dishes with pork are worth a purchase." - Megan Hill

Google
I went to Vietnam for the first time in January, I’ve been searching for a place that is comparable to the taste and quality that I experienced out in Ho Chi Minh City and Huong Binh takes me back. The owners are so sweet and relaxed. The food is phenomenal, every bite is a perfect mix of umami and sweet. And the prices are affordable!?? Love it here and it’s now me and my boyfriend’s favorite spot. Can’t wait to try all of their dishes.

Google
This place is AMAZING! Their Banh Beo Chen is delicious and this is the only place I’ve had it served this way. Their Banh Hoi Thap Cam is the main show! Comes with a variety of flavorful meats, fresh veggies with a fresh bed of Banh Hoi noodles. Can’t get enough!! Also, their Bung Mang Vit is packed with duck, their ginger sauce is tasty and the soup that comes with it is so simple but homey. Best of both worlds in one dish. If you haven’t tried this place, you need to! Classic spot that’s been here for years.

Google
The mi quang was not as dry as it should have been, and the bun bo hue was just okay. The grilled pork was fantastic, however - so probably best to stick to the rice or vermicelli bowls.

Don Lui

Google
Great bun Bo hue in a sketchy neighborhood? You bet your ass the food is good. Hidden gem BBH. I would come back for this.

Google
Small casual delicious Vietnamese restaurant that was recommended to me by a Vietnamese friend as her go to spot for Bun Bo Hue. I’ve only been a couple times since it’s not super close to home but it’s one of my favorites! Always really good food. $13 for a big bowl of Hu Tieu and $8 for five Banh Beo Chen—both were delicious. I can’t find Hu Tieu in many places here, so was happy to find it on their menu.

Google
Excellent food (my dish was no.48 with egg noodles), truly authentic Vietnamese soup noodles; shrimp rolls surprised me the most as it not only had BBQ pork inside, but the roll were actually warm when served and the wrapping were soft too, which means that they DID NOT get stored in the fridge for a long time before they were served, something that you don't see often in Oregon. Service were a bit slow, me and my friends waited at least 10 more mins before we were served

Google
We chose to try this restaurant specifically because they had Bun Bo Hue and Bun Rieu on their menu. The Banh Beo was an extra treat for us. Both broths were good but not extraordinary. The Bun Bo Hue needed more chilli shrimp paste. You unfortunately could taste the freezer burn of the fried tofu in the Bun Rieu. And the pork blood was overcooked in both soups, but I was still happy they even had it at all. The rest of it was delicious and was overall happy with our meal. We saw Bun Cha on their menu but it’s only offered during the week. Would definitely come back to try it! It’s hard to find Bun Cha on Vietnamese menu’s outside of Vietnam. The Banh Beo tasted good but was a little too thick. Large serving size for the price, but would’ve been better if it were thinner. Parking is free on the surface lot and $2 underground. Tight parking lot but manageable.

Google
If you're in the mood for some delicious Vietnamese cuisine, Hương Bình is the place to go. The broken rice with pork is definitely a standout dish - it's absolutely delicious. However, I will say that the restaurant itself could be a bit cleaner. Our table was sticky and the area around us was a bit shady. But during the day it's perfectly fine. The staff is friendly and overall it's a great place to eat.

Yelp
Unassuming Vietnamese restaurant in little Saigon. Has a little parking lot and some street parking. I parked in a nearby lot across the street from pho bac which was convenient. I'm not sure if I was allowed to, but nothing happened at least lol I ordered banh beo and chao long. The banh beo dough was thicker than I'm used to, but nice and chewy which was nice. The dried shrimp and pork toppings were super flavorful, and as always, the fish sauce is the most perfect topping. Chao long (congee and duck) was super flavorful as well. The congee was pretty watery, but had really good umami flavor. The poached duck didn't have a ton of meat, but it was still nice and tender. Dipping it in the fish sauce is even better. Overall, would definitely come again! The restaurant is a little on the dirtier side? Everything felt a little sticky.. but the people were nice and efficient, food was delicious, and the price to portion size ratio is amazing.

Yelp
Family owned restaurant with casual ambiance seating. Food is great quality all around. Sugarcane juice is freshly pressed and the thit nuong (grilled meat/pork) is especially good. Highly recommend this gem to anyone in the area.

Yelp
Before going back to San Diego, I wanted to find a restaurant that had banh beo to eat with my boyfriend. And we found a place in Little Saigon! It's located next to Ebisu Bento and Pho So 1 in the Ding How Center on S Jackson St in Little Saigon. There is a small parking lot with narrow stalls. Very narrow stalls. Be careful when parking and exiting/entering your cars! My boyfriend and I ordered quite a bit of food. Besides Banh Beo Chen, I also noticed they had Banh Bot Loc! SO EXCITED. So of course, we order those two as appetizers. The banh bot loc had a nice mochi bounciness but without much protein. I felt like there wasn't much shrimp and pork in it. There was more "skin" than anything. The fish sauce made it delicious tho! The banh beo chen was really good! So much flavor in this dish with a lot of proteins and the fish sauce amplified the flavor. Sooooo good. It wasn't in a sauce dish like the traditional way but portion-wise, there was a lot more in one dish/saucer compared to other restaurants. I got their Bun Bo Hue. It was not a favorite of mine. There wasn't much flavor in the dish. It didn't have much of the "hearty" flavor that I'm used to. However, there was lots of protein. A lot more than I expected which made it a little better. My boyfriend got their Mi Quang soup noodle dish. It was both our first time trying it soup noodle dish. It had a sweetish flavor with wide egg noodles. It was quite good; maybe a bit sweeter than I liked (not a bad thing). Quite impressed by the flavor balance in this dish. The shrimp and pork gave the soup a really nice umami, salty flavor balancing the sweetness of the broth. Overall, small hole-in-the-wall restaurant that definitely deserves a little more praise! They serve different soup noodle dishes outside of pho and also rice dishes.

Yelp
The food and value here outweigh what's going on out side by a mile. I got the bun thit nuong and it was delicious! I really can't overstate this I think it is my favorite in the city right now. It's definitely a bit of a hole in the wall vibe, but it's everything you would want from that. Good food and low prices. Give this place a try.

Yelp
I almost don't want to review this place because I wanna gate-keep. The vermicelli noodle bowl with barbecued pork is excellent. It is a generous pile of meat on top of fresh noodles and veggies, lettuce, and herbs. You cannot find a more perfect summer day meal.
google avatar

Ayana B.

Yelp
The food here was so good at such a great price! I had the vermicelli with pork skewers and the meat was seasoned so well! The sauce that came with the noodles was so fresh tasting and it filled me up without making me feel heavy! I came here with a friend and the owner was very nice, even though there was a limited staff he still made sure we were taken care of! The interior is very nice looking and clean, and overall a great spot to hang out! I'll come here on my next visit to Little Saigon!

Yelp
came for brunch on a saturday and was seated right away. utensils and lettuce were dirty. prices were below average Banh Hoi Chao Tom - can't mess up banh hoi! it taste the same everywhere. fried ground shrimp was presented differently than what i'm used to, but it was good.

Yelp
An usually sunny, warm April day seemed like the perfect excuse to have an adventure in areas I don't typically frequent, and Huong Binh was the perfect place to end up! I love when I end up at restaurants where I've never heard of the dishes being offered. We had to take advantage of this and ordered the following: - Banh Beo Chen: This is described on the menu as "steamed rice pancakes", but I'd really say texturally it's more of a cross between a rice cake and a jelly. I love all things savory and this did the trick! The fish sauce that accompanied it was also delicious and delivered a kick I was not anticipating! - Banh Hoi Thap Cam: This was delicious! Both the pork meatball and grilled pork were absolutely exceptional truly stood out. I've honestly never met a ground shrimp on sugar cane I didn't love, and Huong Binh's was the same. My least favorite was the shrimp, but only if you pressed me to nitpick. Really, it's a slam dunk all around, the pork is just what really shines. I also loved that all of the accompanying veggies were very fresh. - Com Tam Bi Suon Cha Huong Binh: The pork chop was perfect, albeit a bit too high on the bone to meat ratio (but def no fault of the place, just the nature of the cut). The egg meatleaf was also super unique and yummy! Honestly everything we ate here was absolutely fantastic, and all three dishes were things we would love to re-order.

Yelp
Food was pretty decent and service was great! Staff were attentive and fast. The man who seated my friend and I took our order made sure we had all the condiments we'd need. He was friendly and made us feel very welcomed. We caught him during his early dinner and observed him stopping to serve customers multiple times including us. We had the Bun Bo Hue (BBH) and spring rolls. The portions were generous, they did not skimp out on the protein in the spring rolls. The BBH came out piping hot, however, my friend and I did agree the soup could've used a bit more flavor but we still enjoyed it! For two bowls of BBH and spring rolls we paid about $42 including tip, which we thought was more than fair! Definitely would visit again to try other dishes!

Yelp
omg best grilled pork vermicelli bowl, their menu says "famous grilled pork" and it should be. amazing price too, $13 for three large skewers, vermicelli, and a bunch of fresh veggies if you want to make lettuce wraps!!
google avatar

Devon J.

Yelp
Really good bun bo hue! I was super in the mood for BBH and tried to find somewhere open (it was already 7:30). Stumbled upon Huong Binh and it was delicious. We were the last people in the place, but they were still so kind. It was perfectly spicy and the trotter was delicious.

Yelp
One of the few Viet places in Seattle that has banh beo on their menus. The banh beo chens were in bowls rather than saucers which surprised me. They had a lot more meat than what I'm used to seeing in banh beo Chen. The banh bot loc was more similar to mochi. Service was aight; food was good. My friend and I just ordered appetizers and sat there to talk for hours.

Yelp
With the crime subsiding (or relocated) at the corner of 12th and Jackson, I chose to support Hương Bình, which is one of only maybe 3 restaurants that are still open in the entire Ding How Center. What a darn shame. Their menu offers a VAST variety not found in suburbia pho shops. I purposely chose unusual dishes that I can't find near home to take advantage of this opportunity. Their prices are quite low, and they seem to have made substitutions to compensate. If they stay open to feed the elderly Vietnamese in the area, by all means, substitute for lower cost ingredients. I'm all for it. The Food: Bánh Bèo Chén - 5 Stars I order Bánh Bèo, but the guy says they don't have it but have this with a "trust me" attitude. Ok, I'll bite. It's basically a variant of Bánh Bèo, but instead served in a small bowl (larger size) and with more toppings. Worth it! Bánh Uớt Tôm Cháy - 3.5 Stars The English translation says Vietnamese rice roll. It's the same base as the Chinese rice roll or cheung fun but served Vietnamese style. Even with the dipping sauce, it's a bit plain. Bún Bò Huế - 3.5 Stars It literally means Hue's beef noodle soup. (Hue is a region in Vietnam.) Their version had more pork than beef, which is odd. All the previous versions I had is beef-centric. The flavor is good though. Bún Riêu Cua - 3.5 Stars The cua means minced crab. The dish is pretty cheap, so I wasn't expecting much (or any) crab. Their "crab and egg paste" were more like ground-pork balls with maybe hints of crab. I personally prefer to pay a more for better ingredients.

Yelp
Gahhh I have been craving Vietnamese food for a whileeee and Seattle has great options. I'd say I've been chasing the dragon since I visited Houston.. as in.. I've been trying to find Vietnamese restaurants that are on the same level of deliciousness as Houston but honestly you just can't compare to H town lol Anyways, my friends recommended this place if I just want to curb my appetite but said it's not going to be anything phenomenal it's just to finally meet my cravings haha. They were right! I'd say the bun loc was really good though, if you're in a bind to find this difficult to make dumpling haha The other dumplings were really bigggg and flavorful and the other dish was easy to share and very fresh and filling! Overall I enjoyed eating here and I'll probably come back if I'm visiting seattle again to be honest haha

Yelp
I always get homesick for Vietnamese food when away from home on a trip. Being from Houston, I am spoiled by the vastness of our Chinatown/International District in Bellaire. This time, being with my parents, it was extra important to find an authentic Vietnamese restaurant to help curb their desire for food they'd normally have daily at home or in Houston. Sure, all the fish and chips and clam chowder was great but gosh, it was nice to have something my mom would cook at home. This restaurant is a gem. Authentic, delicious Vietnamese food! The variety was great! I had the mi thap cam, my dad had the com bi thap cam, and my mom had the bun mang viet. It's hard to please my mom's cravings as she's quite the cook herself but the food was superb!

denise a.

Yelp
Admittedly when I pulled into the parking lot, I was a tad bit skeptical. So happy I went inside. The food was delicious. I came in for a quick lunch. I had #18, tea, and a Vietnamese coffee. Bill was less than $20. If you are interested in quality and value, don't hesitate to visit!

Yelp
VERY SOLID VIETNAMESE RESTAURANT IN THE ID! Another gem in the Little Saigon neighborhood of the ID, Huong Binh has decent Bun Bo Hue. Is it the best BBH I've had? No, but it's solid. Good heat, all the ingredients that come with it (i.e. pork blood and hock) but missing something that I can't really put my finger on. But whatever, I'm a BBH snob. You also can't really complain about prices: with tax and tip, my total was $13.32. I've also had takeout Bun Mang Vit here during the early pandemic days - specifically, the duck noodle soup. Portion was decent, and ingredients were fresh. Overall, not mind-blowing Vietnamese food, but it's delish. Servers are also nice, though maybe a little too nice since last time they let a homeless person use the bathroom and that person never came out by the time I left...yikes!

Yelp
Very good grilled meat and noodle plate (Bánh Hỏi Thập Cẩm) with veggies to make your own lettuce wraps. I like to use a lot of lettuce and herbs so I ordered extra veggies for $2. The staff are really sweet. Hole in the wall vibe with matching neighborhood. The food and price put this place solidly above 4 stars.

Yelp
When I was talking to some Vietnamese friends who have lived in Seattle for a while, this was one of the places they recommended, for banh hoi. I went here to check that dish out and ordered the Banh Hoi Thap Cam. Banh hoi in general has thin noodles with ground shrimp and green onion, served with lettuce, basil, cilantro, etc and fish sauce. For this dish, it also came with pork meatball, grilled pork, grilled shrimp, and ground shrimp on sugarcane. Usually, a handful of Vietnamese restaurants cut corners and just don't care if the meat has way too much fat or terribly burnt. Here, everything including the grilled pork has the right amount of fat and grilled pretty well. Shrimp was very fresh and has a lot of seasoning and garlic. I also really loved the pork meatballs. Sugarcane in the shrimp is not super sweet, but it definitely gave me memories of the fried shrimp on sugarcane dish that I occasionally get for dim sum. The very slight nitpick is that the lettuce was not too fresh, but I was able to easily just get rid of those small unfresh sections. Noodles were cooked just right and easy to separate into sizable sections to wrap it with the lettuce and add basil, fish sauce, etc to complete it. The overall dish is very delicious. I think it is my first time trying banh hoi so it was an experience - it does take quite a while as, if you want to eat it the right way, it will take time to tear apart the lettuce and assemble the ingredients. Service as expected of such restaurants is lacking, but primary emphasis is the food. The price, even with the rapid increase compared to a year ago, is still well under the cost of a typical modest meal in Seattle these days. I left stuffed and satisfied.

Yelp
Ahh Huong Binh.. what more can I say, I just adore this place. This small mom and pop restaurant has been open for decades and for good reason.. they make incredible Vietnamese food. To be more specific, banh hoi. If you are unfamiliar with what banh hoi is, they are like little vermicelli cakes of happiness with the all the Vietnamese flavors you are familiar with.. the spicy.. the sweet.. the sour and the umami! They serve amazing Vietnamese dishes here but I always go back to the banh hoi thit nuong (bbq pork skewers) or banh hoi tap cam (special with pork skewer, shrimp, meatballs and sugar cane shrimp). The servers and owners are sweet and friendly as well. Little known secrets: if you dont want to roll the noodles with the veggies and just want to chow down, you can get it in a bowl with everything ready to eat, just ask for the dish in a bowl (if u get it this way, they also add cucumbers). Also, that freshly grilled pork skewer they served with the banh hoi is also served in the bánh mì sandwiches. It's not like a Vietnamese deli, where the "grilled" pork has been sitting in a vat all day dried out, no. This is freshly grilled pork skewers all wrapped up in a banh mi sandwich and it is a must try for 5$! Especially when compared to those overpriced deli sandwiches everyone charges now.

Yelp
I haven't had bánh hỏi since high school at a friend's house, and rediscovering it in Seattle through another Yelper's review was a perfect highlight of my trip. If you haven't had it before, it's a dish of fresh vermicelli noodles flavored with scallion oil and served in meshed bunches, along with an herb mountain and lettuce, and then an excellent selection of grilled meats (this was specifically Bánh Hỏi Thập Cẩm). Certainly a messy meal when I have it since you're trying to take a noodle bundle, wrap it in a shred of lettuce, garnish with herbs, and then fit in a meat nublet before dunking it in nước mắm sauce. Have an iced coffee to wash it all down! Service is speedy and most folks are ordering in Vietnamese. Lots of orders for their soup noodles too, so next trip!

Yelp
I ordered banh xeo seafood mung bean crepes, banh beo, bo luc lac shaking beef, and bun cha hanoi and it was all very fresh and tasty. This place offers Viet comfort food at Seattle pre- gentrification prices and very speedy service. If you are wondering about the gritty neighborhood shenanigans that gave arisen during the pandemic i walked there in broad daylight and didn't get harassed. Tough it up for culinary comfort.
google avatar

Yelp
3 stars. Ordered 7 party trays size for my private event, the pickup time was not as they promised. We came on time to pick up but had to wait for almost an hour for all trays to be ready. Plus, one of the trays was stir fried veggie, and it turned bad just after 4 hours of pickup, we ended up let go to the trash can. I did not complained or asked for refund since i dont have time to fight for this.
google avatar

Yelp
hole in the wall! very beautifully crisp banh xeo. could use more fillings and veggies on the side though. bun rieu was okay, noods were overcooked but not uncommon for that type, meatballs werent my fave. soup was good though

Yelp
Tucked away in a shopping plaza in International District / Little Saigon, this is a hidden gem for authentic Vietnamese food! I had family members visiting from Vietnam, and they were craving comforting dishes. I ordered the Bun Bo Hue, and it was perfectly spicy and flavorful! The prices here are also such a bang for your buck compared to other Seattle eats. The service was quick and efficient, and I would love to come back to try other dishes.

Yelp
A family favorite for a long time now. I spent many weekends of my childhood coming here, and not much has changed. Best Vietnamese skewers in the city.

T J.

Yelp
I planned on going to a place a few doors down because they advertised being open at 8am, unfortunately that was not the case. I noticed this spot had an open sign flashing and it was 20 minutes before their scheduled time of 9am. Walked in and received my pho in about 5 minutes. It was so hot the lovely lady warned me as she placed the bowl down.

Nicole V.

Yelp
No frills place. Great food, generous portions and great price. Would totally come again

Yelp
Great authentic traditional Vietnamese food for a pretty good price. Huong Binh is always my choice for Viet food out of all the Viet restaurants in the Little Saigon area. Had the banh hoi combo, com huong binh, and hu tieu. You gotta love being able to order unique dishes like banh hoi and hu tieu, and I especially liked their nem nuong (grilled pork meatballs). Each dish was flavorful and really hit the spot for my Viet food cravings. Being Vietnamese, I can't even remember the last time I had these dishes! My main complaint would be with portion size of the banh hoi. The meat that comes with it is superb and plentiful but there is barely any of the actual banh hoi, which is what makes the dish unique. What I want when I order banh hoi is more banh hoi!! Staff was also friendly but unfortunately never got refills on water. Overall, a solid spot for Vietnamese food. It's a small restaurant so it might be a little packed during peak hours or if you bring a larger party. Really large menu to select from, so if you're craving a specific Viet dish, they're bound to have it. They have a parking lot outside as well as a (sketchy) shared garage downstairs too!

Yelp
LOVE THE BANH UOC. Not many restaurants back at home (Portland, OR) has this as a dish. I had the special which included the sugar cane shrimp, shrimp skewer, grilled pork, and pork meatball. Next time, I would probably ask for more grilled pork in replace of shrimp skewer because the grilled pork was so good! They give lots of veggies, banh uoc, and fish sauce. The parking in the plaza is very limited, but worth the wait or the walk. This place was so good! My family ordered variations of this "special" with the vermicelli which was also a great option. We didn't try any of the broths but the grilled meats were so good, it would be hard to step away to try something else!
google avatar

Yelp
Huong Binh was introduced to me by a coworker during one of many lunch outings in Seattle. I have tried a few menu items but I always come back to #8 Bánh Hòi Nem Núông. #8 is thin noodles served with pork meatballs, lettuce, herbs and dipping sauce. I crave this dish and have only found it at Huong Binh sadly. Worth the drive to Seattle and worth the crazy parking.

Clinton T.

Yelp
We were in the area to pick up some groceries from Lam's and stopped in here for lunch as we heard the bun mang vit (duck noodle soup) is good. We ordered that and a bun bo hue. Both were good with the bun mang vit being better. The quantity of duck definitely stands out and it's tender and flavorful. The bbh was ok, nothing to write home about. Overall a decent place to grab lunch but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.
google avatar

Jason L.

Yelp
Huong Binh is a very well-known location in the Vietnamese community and my family and I have been visiting here every once in a while, ever since I was a kid. The vermicelli bowls here are amazing and I love the Nem but I wanted to try something new this time and got the Banh Mi. The Banh Mi was very good and I liked how the bread was very roundish making it easier to hold than other Banh Mis. The only issue that I have with Huong Binh is the location of it and how it is surrounded by so many other amazing food places. They also have so much variety when it comes to Vietnamese food that I can usually find whatever I'm craving. This is one of my favorite Vietnamese places to eat in Washington.

Yelp
Holy Meats on a Stick, Batman! If you're looking for a Vietnamese lunch spot near the I.D., this is the spot for you. Located in the same mini mall as Hue Ky Mi Gia, Huong Binh serves food just as delicious as those Garlic Butter Chicken Wings. Since I wasn't in the mood for wings, I decided to try Huong Binh during a weekday lunch and I'm now a fan. If you're a meat eater, you should definitely order the Banh Hoi Thap Cam. For $12.50, you get delectable skewers of Grilled Pork, Grilled Pork Meatball, Grilled Shrimp, and Ground Shrimp wrapped around Sugar Cane with Banh hoi noodles. All the proteins were perfectly grilled and there was plenty of bundles of Banh Hoi. Almost equally delicious as all the protein was probably the fish sauce. It's a good thing it only came in a small cup because I could've drank a large bowl of it. Unfortunately, the service wasn't as on par with the food. It was pretty close to non-existent. When I was done with my meal, at least 5 tables hadn't been cleared and the empty plates just sat there. Obviously, the presentation of the restaurant wasn't a priority. What if someone else walked in and saw all the dirty dishes at each table? I guess they're indifferent. Despite that, the quality of food for a great price still overshadows that flaw. There's definitely other dishes on the menu I'll be back for. I'm already looking forward to my next lunch here.

Yelp
I had to hit this spot after how much my siblings were hyping it up, and I'd say it's worth the praise. My grandpa really really loves this place, and he's a picky eater, so I think that says something. I liked their wide variety of classic viet dishes. We all ordered different things, and everybody liked what they got. Overall, food was fantastic, and I'd definitely come again.

Yelp
Probably my favorite Viet restaurant here solely for the fact that they serve banh hoi. For some reason other places fail to serve this type of noodle which is better (IMO) than your standard boring vermicelli, so kudos to this place. I always prefer the giant combo plate with skewered grilled shrimp, pork meatballs, grilled pork and sugarcane shrimp. Douse everything in the perfect fish sauce and it's a great comfort meal. I can't say much regarding the other standard Viet dishes since I don't bother with them at all when dining here. The food comes out fast. The service isn't that outstanding, but I don't care too much considering I'm never expecting it at these hole in the wall type joints. Underground parking (tight spots) is available which makes coming here convenient.

Yelp
Delicious foods. Friend spring rolls were crispy and delicious. Sauces were in point. All the noodles dishes were perfect. Duck congee was delicious as well. Fun menu to explore for the average American trying out new foods. We relied on the menu photos to see what we wanted. We all picked our protein and style of of dish. Rice or noodle. We called it in and picked it up in 20 minutes. Parking is tough as the plaza is small. The area is less desirable for an evening meal so we choose brunch. The food was packaged perfectly and we got home to eat without any issues. For 7 people and 2 extra side dishes out the door $116 w/o gratuity.

Yelp
Great, authentic tasting food with enormous portions and pretty fast service. We found this place after adding our names to a 30+ group wait at Pho Bac down the street. Huong Binh is pretty unassuming from the outside, but the food is really delicious. The menu is filled with Vietnamese dishes that are harder to come by, like Banh Hoi (a lettuce wrap and skewer dish that I got) and Com Xao.

Yelp
Small hole in the wall feel but amazing authentic viet food. LOVED THE GRILLED MEATS. It wasn't very busy when I arrived on a Saturday at 4pm and parking was available underground. The food was amazing, I can't wait to return for more grilled meat, the Banh Hoi was moist and delicious. I wish I had an opportunity to try the hot soymilk but opted for dessert elsewhere. Can't wait to be back for more.

Yelp
This is definitely one of those hole-in-the-wall vietnamese restaurants that often get overlooked because it's not as nice or fancy as the modern day restaurants in Seattle. Located in Little Saigon, this place doesn't get too busy so I know I never have to wait. My favorite things to get here is the bun bo hue (not too spicy which I love!), duck noodle soup, and banh hoi (plate of thin rice noodles with grilled meat, shrimp etc)! My friend recommended me to get get banh hoi and ask for rice wraps so that I can make spring rolls. For appetizer, I like to share banh beo chen which are steamed rice cakes in mini bowls with green onions and little shrimp flakes on top. This is easily one of my favorite vietnamese spots in Seattle. It doesn't serve pho so don't be shocked because not all vietnamese restaurants have pho but they have so many different variety of traditional vietnamese dishes.

Yelp
Bun Huong Bin - was delicious along with their yummy fish sauce. The grilled pork was slightly chewy, and the meatballs were tasty. The shrimp wasn't really grilled enough for my liking Banh Thit Nuong - D-lishis. I wish it came with pickled carrots (I'm sure i could have asked for it tho) be prepared to need to wash your hands several times afterwards. Its a pretty messy meal dripping of their delicious fish sauce, but totally worth! I've had their broken rice dishes (#27) several times as well. Its probably my favorite dish here.

Yelp
I used to come here often when i lived in Seattle. They have the best skewers ! And the sugarcane with shrimp is to die for. Everything is so flavourful. Its been a year since ive been back due to not being in the area often, but today i was scrolling on facebook and noticed the familiar outside of the restaurant. The post was about how the owner offered free food outside of her restaurant to the homeless people in the area for Thanksgiving. I was so touched by this! Most business owners would likely chase homeless people away in fear that their presence would bother customers, but Huong Binh even put out chairs and tables so people could sit and enjoy their meals. I will definitely be back here to eat soon and support this restaurant that helps out the community. PS parking is hard here so i recommend parking across the street and walking over

Yelp
Yayyy for significant improvements :) Since my last visit a few months ago, I came here with family yesterday for a quickie lunch and was surprised at the following: 1. Service: This area = vast improvement. The servers are now quicker and less attitude. All tables were promptly cleaned & wiped off, so there was never really a wait or line of people. For a Sunday morning, this place was mad packed. So props to the staff for being quick! 2. Food: Yes, I did rave and sang the glories of eating a Banh Hoi Thap Cam, but yesterday, discovered a new dish I haven't tried before: Bun Cha Ha Noi. Gosh - the meat in this dish = SUPER GOOD. Like I have no idea what types of herbs are used, but the meat was savory/sweet/mild spice. If you order this, it comes with a side of fresh veggies + sauce + vermicelli. Also, I love how pipin' hot the Banh Beo Chen was. Absolute deliciouss-ness. 3. Dessert: Che Be Mau = pretty tasty :3 Not too pricey, this was a filling dessert that I couldn't finish after my big lunch Other random notes: Despite the quick service, do note that the servers don't come around often to re-fill waters. So feel free to wave your hand about for water :P Parking still sucks. So try to go for either the underground parking (please be aware of your surroundings if you park here at night, it gets sketchy since there are no security guards) or the parking lot across the street from the restaurant. Prices: still cheap and affordable! Yaaaas. I am now really hungry for some Thit Nuong (grilled pork) skewers as I write this updated review. Gah. This is a must try item when visiting Huong Binh. Remember that :)

Yelp
THE only place in Seattle with decent banh beo (steam rice cakes). Being an avid banh beo lover since a child, this place will do. I have tried the banh beo chen (in the little bowl) in the past, but I didn't really like it. Too cakey.. and it should be in a little plate like how Cali & Vietnam does it!! This time I tried it on the plate, much better but the fish sauce needs to be a bit sweeter. That's what seals the whole entree, duh. Anyway, this place is as "authentic" as it'll get for Vietnamese food in Seattle. I've come during lunch rushes and it sucks, because this place is not the biggest and parking in the ding how garage sucks during peak hours *ugh* They're known for their banh hoi and meat entrees and none disappoints, I can never finish it! Meat is very well marinated & nem nuong (meatball) are friggen huge and tasty! Service is a typical meh. When you need something you just gotta ask, they won't check on you once you get your food.

Yelp
Was a somewhat regular customer in the past, I would frequent here often for their Chao Long. I visited the other day, poor girl working the floor couldn't understand english very well, switched it up to Viet & we were good. I really did love the previous owner, she was super sweet and offered up some quality Chao. I met the new owner, sure nice & all, we chatted a bit. All the fun stopped when the liver cuts were black, they had been sitting out for a very unreasonable time. I was super amazed anyone would put this on a plate for consumption, I know of no one so twisted, it was beyond disgusting & I will never return to this establishment! Watch out for the ROACHES too! UNBELIEVABLE! I was really surprised they charged me for anything after I showed them the disgustingness, and the two girls on the floor both agreed it was nasty. Good luck, hope you can improve, I'll never know though!

Yelp
I ordered the 'Banh Hoi Thap Cam'. This is the plate for me because it came with all the meats! Grilled lemon grass beef, pork meatballs, grilled shrimp, and the ground shrimp that was steamed and lightly fried. I couldn't pick a favorite because they all were so good and uniquely different. However I never had ground shrimp wrapped around sugar cane before. I really enjoyed that one! Pro tip: At the end of your meal, nibble on the sugar cane for a sweet and juicy surprise! I would compare this to a deconstructed vermicelli bowl. The noodles you get with this dish are my favorite. Very thin bundled threads of vermicelli. It absorbs the fish sauce very well. From my friend, she advised me to use the veggies and make a wrap OR use the empty bowl to combine noodles, shredded veggies, meat, and fish sauce as your own DIY vermicelli bowl. However you decide to construct, you will enjoy each element of this dish! Side note: I love how the ice water had a slight taste of Thai tea! You can even order fresh sugar cane juice!

Yelp
great good as always. The duck rice noodles are one of the better ones in town. Eater beware of MSG. If you loved MSG, it'd be heavenly for you. Though I am allergic to MSG, it's worth the mild headache :)

Yelp
Unassuming restaurant that prepares quality authentic food. My local friends took me to this restaurant to grab a quick bite. The interior is clean and service was prompt. Per recommendation, I split an order of Banh Hoi Thit Nuong with my friend and there was plenty of food for the both of us. The food is delivered on a tray with the skewered meat served alongside the noodles, veggies and sauce separated. The meat was flavorful, cooked well, and the portion was generous. The banh hoi was similar to how my mom makes it, so it definitely met my expectations. I rarely see banh hoi offered at Vietnamese restaurants and I was thrilled with my great experience at Huong Binh. My other friends all ordered similar items with the exception of the rice dish being accompanied by a bowl of simple broth soup. Everything arrived promptly to the table and portions were generous. I can see why this is a local favorite.
