"Green luxury is the focus at the Hyatt at Olive 8. It’s Seattle ’s first LEED-certified hotel and residence. The hotel takes up the first 17 floors; the rest of the building’s 36 floors are residential. The public spaces are sleek, with modern lines and minimalist decor in earth tones and pale blues and greens. The rooms are designed for superior energy efficiency, but there’s no compromise on amenities. The corner view rooms have walk-in showers and floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the Seattle skyline. The hotel is twoblocks from the Washington State Convention Center, making it a perfect base for events and conferences."

"Boutique hotels fans may scoff at its blah in-room furnishings, but with amenities like an onsite spa and a spectacular swimming pool, the Hyatt at Olive 8 makes a strong case for itself. What’s more, it’s just on the edge of the Capitol Hill neighborhood, home to the amazing Elliott Bay Book Company , plus most of the city’s best restaurants . Though, in 2021, the 08 Bagel Shop and Tidal+ restaurant opened, meaning you don't need to leave the building to get local favorite Victrola Coffee or Pacific Northwest seafood." - Jessica Voelker, Naomi Tomky

Hyatt at Olive 8

"What did you notice on arrival? With its vaulted ceiling, blond woods, and super sized steel-and-glass staircase, the lobby at this 346-room Hyatt feels chic and serene. What’s the crowd look like?Somewhere between swimming laps in the sparkling second-floor pool, indulging in 90-minute hot stone massages at onsite Elaia spa, and fueling up on pepita-topped grain bowls at the hotel’s Urbane Restaurant, guests here start to take on a serene glow. Importantly: Tell us what we need to know about the rooms.Bed skirts printed in an unfortunate swirly pattern, out-of-date dark wood cabinets, and pea-soup throw pillows conspire to make a deluxe king feel distinctly corporate—more like a place you’d toss your lanyard after a long day at a sales conference than the spa-like digs you’d expect from a hotel focused on creature comforts. Plus, no wine glasses? Other amenities though, include pouches of Starbucks coffee and water bottles in the in-room mini fridge, plus the standard stuff like terry robes, a hair dryer, and a safe. What other features do we need to check out?The gorgeous four-foot lap pool on the second floor starts to pick things up. It features a saltwater purification system—no stinky chlorine that stings your eyes. Elaia, the onsite spa, offers everything from facials to Swedish massage. And while it’s not winning any James Beard awards, Urbane rises above standard hotel-restaurant stuff with organic local ingredients, and solid breakfasts. Bottom line: Why would someone like staying here?Boutique hotel fans may scoff at its blah in-room furnishings, but with amenities like an onsite spa and a spectacular swimming pool, the Hyatt at Olive 8 makes a strong case for itself. What’s more, it’s just on the edge of the Capitol Hill neighborhood, home to the amazing Elliott Bay Book Company, plus most of the city’s best restaurants. I went there for a conference. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms were comfortable, clean, and homey. Housekeeping was excellent. The bar and bartenders were friendly and attentive. I personally place much on fitness centers and this one was better than expected. Had plenty of dumbbells and a smith machine. I liked that it had a 2nd room for yoga, interval training, etc. Had a woodfloor with enough space to do some kind of HIT workout if you wanted. Also had kettlebells up to 20kg which was nice. My only critique here was there was no clock in the room. My suggestion on their survey was to install a digital timer/clock here. Finally, my main issue was their morning coffee/breakfast bar needed work. I recommended they have a 2nd line for guests who only wanted coffee because they make their breakfasts to order, the line moved very slowly while the barista was making coffee orders and plating bagels, etc individually. I ended up just going elsewhere to grab coffee.

Lovely hotel. It's full of business travelers and vacationing families alike. It's expensive, but the rooms are really nice and the amenities are plentiful. There's a pool and hot tub which are both complementary for guests. There are also a couple dining options which are not complementary (not even breakfast). The food isn't amazing, but it's passable, and there's an $8 delivery fee for room service. There's also a spa which you can visit even if you're not a hotel guest, but it's also quite expensive. They offer valet parking for $64 per night, which is pricey but convenient.

Throughly enjoyed our overnight stay at Olive 8. The front desk agent checking us in kindly upgraded our room & gave us late check out since we were going to see Jerry Seinfeld. The room had such a good view, the COMFIEST bed- it was a literal cloud. I’ll be dreaming of that bed forever. The location is immaculate- you can walk to wherever you need & we found a close parking garage with affordable overnight parking. 10/10 experience, would stay here again.

This is my second time in this hotel with my wife, very nice to be back there. The receptionists are very attentive. I thank everyone there for their attention. Great location. Easy check-in effort with friendly staff. Room was clean and well-maintained.The experience at this establishment surpassed all our expectations! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with an amazing atmosphere and warm hospitality. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that our every need was met. The service was top-notch, with every detail carefully attended to. The food was simply outstanding, with each dish bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. Every bite was a delight to the senses! The professionalism displayed by the entire team was commendable, making our visit truly enjoyable. Without a doubt, we will be returning again and again, and we can't wait to bring the rest of our family along to share in the experience. This place has earned our highest recommendation, and we can't wait to come back for more unforgettable moments.

Certainly! Here’s a revised version of your review: --- This location in downtown Seattle was perfectly situated near everything we needed. The light rail provided easy access to many places, including the airport, which was a huge plus. The hotel itself was cozy and not overcrowded, creating a comfortable atmosphere. I also had the opportunity to take a yoga class with my mom, and it was fantastic. The meditation yoga class was led by a wonderful instructor who was attentive to everyone's needs. My mom has been experiencing lower back issues, and the instructor ensured she received proper modifications so she could participate fully. Overall, it was an amazing experience! --- Feel free to adjust any part if needed!

If you are a person with a good sense of smell, do not stay here. I stayed there for 3 nights in April. There was a very strong floral scent in the room (also the lobby smells like fish from the restaurant, but at least that does not linger on your items or follow you to your room). It was hard to sleep with the sickening smell. It took several washings to get the smell of the room out of the clothes that I brought with me. I just put a shirt on that I brought with me and the scent is still there - it is July! What on earth is this product? I fear that it will never come out of my suitcase. The hotel was clean and felt safe, so if you have no sense of smell you may enjoy it.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟An unforgettable experience at Hyatt at Olive 8!We only stayed one night, but we loved every moment of it! 💫 We felt like we had arrived at a special place right from the moment we checked in - the staff was kind, smiling and really helpful 🤍.The room was simply beautiful! 🛏️ Clean, spacious, modern and incredibly comfortable - just what we wanted after a tiring day 😌. The view was also amazing, but the buzz of downtown remained a pleasant backdrop 🌆.The atmosphere of the hotel is elegant yet friendly, and every little detail was aimed at making us feel comfortable 💼🍃. The bed was as soft as a cloud - we haven't slept this well in a long time! 😴✨I wish we had more time to stay here, but we will definitely be back! 💖 If anyone is visiting Seattle, I highly recommend Hyatt at Olive 8 - it really is a little gem in the heart of the city! 🏙️💎

Friendly front desk and optimal location. So close to the Westlake Link station and downtown attractions. Appreciated them storing our bikes for us as well. Room was a great size and bed was comfortable - would stay again!

Yelp
Just a quick note to say how great the valets - Joseph and Saul - were to me in terms of helping to take care of parking my car, and then returning it back to me. They were professional, friendly, and it actually made parking my car in downtown Seattle a pleasure... unusual I know :)! Thank you Joseph and Saul

Yelp
-Clean and modern -Friendly staff -Close to convention center, downtown and within walking distance to Pike Place -Close to Westlake station -Indoor hot pool, pool and sauna and steam room -No real views even from 17th floor due to taller buildings surrounding hotel

Yelp
I enjoyed my stay at Hyatt at Olive 8. Check in was quick; they have a seafood restaurant with a happy hour (this is great, if you love oysters); they have a small coffee shop in the lobby; it's in the middle of downtown and near many activities and restaurants; the hotel was very clean and I did not encounter any unpleasant staff members. Things to know before you book: if there's an event happening (Taylor Swift concert and conference for my visit), expect a very crowded lobby area (it's not the largest space); valet parking is pricey and I believe the only option; double check your card (I was charged again for a pre-paid booking); and you must use your room key for everything in the hotel (entry, elevator, lights in the room, etc. ).

Yelp
We're fans of Hyatt and our Olive 8 experience this week reinforced our love for the brand. Sarah at the front desk was super welcoming and took care of us expeditiously. Our room had a great view with plenty of sun. I asked for a refresh on the coffee service in our room. They left an abundance of item and made our beds, emptied the trash and tidied up. Thanks! The main winner for me was that I thought I lost my wallet by the pool leaving wrapped in a towel that I deposited into the hamper. No ID, no way home. I told the woman at the spa and she went to the laundry and pulled each towel out by hand to check. WOW! I later found it tangled in stuff in our room. My wife used this hotel for months during work trips. Can't say enough good about the olive 8. One thing to improve is adding an outlet by the coffee space. I plugged the coffee maker in by the vanity. Not a biggie...just a suggestion. The pool and hottub are clean, towels are abundant and you can tell the team and managers are working in unison. We'll be back

Yelp
I usually stay at the Hyatt Regency across the street but it worked better to stay at Hyatt at Olive 8 during my most recent trip. I usually love the Hyatt Regency because it has 3 Pelotons. While this location does NOT, it has an awesome lap pool, sauna, steam room (with all the eucalyptus smells!) and jacuzzi! I also appreciated that there was a white noise machine in the room - clutch. It seemed just a smidge more dated than the HR (from an interior design perspective and some of the furniture), but it was still very clean and comfortable. My only gripe is the digital key. It's weird that I'm able to request & check-in with a digital key but the room needs a key inserted to turn the lights on. It makes total sense from a sustainability perspective, but why even let get a digital key if I have to go back to the front desk and check-in anyways? Strange. All in all, great stay though!

Yelp
Wonderful hotel! Whenever my company, based in Seattle, has a conference or get together, they have it at this hotel. The conference rooms are nice and can accommodate a lot of people. The rooms are perfect, comfortable, and clean. Location is prime! Walking distance to many restaurants, bars etc. They have the coolest pizza kiosk (vending machine) that heats the pizza when you purchase (about 3 min) and costs $10-12. It also has salads. The pizza is actually tasty! There's also a coffee shop/bakery but I didn't try it. There's also a seafood restaurant connected to the hotel that was tasty but very expensive. Apparently there are also an indoor pool but unfortunately I didn't have time to see or enjoy it.

Yelp
This hotel was extremely nice. We noticed much quieter than the Regency that was adjacent. The rooms were well stocked with a coffee pot and mini fridge with bottled water restocked dairy all complimentary. The staff greeted us every day and the maid service was exceptional. The location was about a 12 minute walk to Pikes Market. Front staff was extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend booking here and I would stay here again

Yelp
A quick overnight business trip in Seattle had me parked at the Hyatt at Olive 8. While I tend to always stay at Hilton family brand properties, I am never disappointed when I do stay with Hyatt. The Olive 8 was no exception as this property really shines brightly. From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming. In fact I asked if I could have a room on a high floor and I would pay the difference from the rate my employer would allow, and the from desk agent said surely, but went one step further and gave me the upgrade complementary! That really wow'd me and so appreciative of the gesture in accommodation. This property is spotlessly clean, even the elevator was immaculate. My room (1453) was no exception. Everything neatly in it's place, a spacious bathroom and bedroom area, large flat screen TV (with a multitude of channels), extra comfy bed, fridge with two complementary bottles of water, large closet, mounted safe, two bath robes and more! While I did not have an opportunity to take advantage of any of the amenities the property had to offer due to the short stay, I feel quite strongly that I'm sure I would have liked them all. Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Seattle, well within walking distance to many area attractions, dining, Amazon and public transportation including Seattle's light rail. Well worth staying here, and so glad I did, even though it was short.

Yelp
I truly enjoyed the experience staying at this hotel. The rooms and space are very clean. They have a Spa inside. The sauna and pool are exquisite. The tv screens are large.

Yelp
When it comes to hotels, my reviews are based on cleanliness, customer service, facilities and of-course comfort of the mattresses. This hotel nailed everything. Huge lobby with a cafe and restaurant for everyone. Spa is in house, valet parking is convenient but little pricey. Its in the heart of downtown so what you can expect but the vehicle is safe and sound. They were doing the carpet flooring on top floors so i got 9th floor room which had a decent view of the office buildings. Room was spacious and no comparison to newly installed carpet. I really like the simplicity and style of furniture and bath fittings installed. Pool is big and they also have sauna n steam room for the guests. Little details were taken care of in the ladies room. Jacuzzi is awesome. Fitness room is actually a full fledged gym with a separate yoga room. I am loving my stay here as each and every staff member is really professional and doing great job from janitorial to front desk.

Very friendly check in!! Nice room!! Very clean!! The pool is wonderful and the hot tub is nice and hot!!

Yelp
Stayed here for business trip over a long weekend and was impressed by all this hotel had to offer. They have a spa on site with a saline pool, along with a bagel and coffee shop, and a really nice seafood restaurant and bar. It's also in a great location to some of Seattle's top tourist attractions. I found myself walking down to Pike Place Market multiple times throughout my stay because of how close it was. The rooms were really spacious and nice. My only complaint is that the walls seemed to be very thin and I could hear doors to other rooms around me closing as if it were the door to my room. The staff was very friendly and welcoming throughout my stay.
google avatar

Lauren C.

Yelp
The hotel is clean, staff is nice and they have valet on site. 2 restaurants in the hotel which is nice if you don't want to leave. My complaints came form my room. The walls are super thin. I could hear the TV of the people next to me. Not sure if they just had the volume up loud or what. Then I noticed the walls of my room were peeling. The only reason I didn't request a new room is because I was only staying here one night. Besides that the rest of the hotel is nice. Bathroom is great, shower is awesome and bed was comfortable.

Buddy L.

Yelp
As far as the room, the Hyatt Olive 8 knows how to anticipate the guest needs. They have the temp set just right; the room is well stocked with coffee, tea and 4 bottles of water. The room has great WIFI and a large TV. More importantly, the room is very clean. The housekeeper on the 14th floor did a great job. The shower water has great pressure and its warm.

Yelp
The welcome we had is nothing short of amazing. Cannot be more satisfied. I am a hyatt employee and know how service should be. The staff here have been the very best. Mahalo Hyatt at Olive 8

Yelp
Hyatt Olive 8 was a great hotel to stay while we ventured around Seattle. While it is all uphill, the hotel itself had a lot surrounding it. We stayed here, as we were trying to accumulate points for Hyatt, but we quickly realized that we truly did love Hyatt properties. We checked in super early, hoping that our room would be ready. Unfortunately, it was not, but they were able to hold onto our bags while we explored which made our lives a whole lot easier. They informed us that they would contact us when our room was ready, score! We ventured out and realized after several hours, we still hadn't heard from the hotel. Now, it was nearing 4pm and we were ready to nap, so we decided to head back, We still hadn't heard from them. Luckily, we got there and our room happened to be ready. This hotel, based on the room we received, really doesn't have anything special in regards to a hotel room, but the beds were comfortable and the overall room itself was spacious and clean. We got lucky and saw some wedding photos occurring from our view, but other than that, not spectacular. The other benefit was that this hotel had a bagel shop attached for an easy to go breakfast OR breakfast in bed, which we happened to use. Definitely recommend this hotel if you're visiting Seattle!

Yelp
Loved the minimalist aesthetic--elegant and comfortable, clear and airy. More important, the staff were amazing. The general manager was kind and patient as I melted down about not being able to find my wallet (turned out it was in a pocket in my purse) and everyone was professional and polite.

Deborah S.

Yelp
Nice, clean, fresh, quiet modern hotel. I had a pleasant city view. The bed is comfy, and the room is spacious. A good shower. There is a convenient bagel place in the hotel for breakfast. I liked this smaller place better than the Hyatt Regency, where I stayed last time. Service was fast.
google avatar

Olive R.

Yelp
Location is great! Came here for the 49'ers game. Staff was friendly and professional. It is close to the link station and therefore it was easy to get to the airport, stadium, and other "touristy" things. Great view from my room (16th floor) and it was close to a lot of shopping and restaurants venues. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were pretty big. The television had a good amount of channels. I would recommend this for anyone coming to Seattle for games.
google avatar

Rachel S.

Yelp
I checked in here to escape the great PNW heatwave. I've always heard great things about this hotel so was eager to see it for myself. Check in went smoothly and my room was clean, comfortable and most importantly COOL. There was free WiFi, a coffee maker and a mini fridge. I forgot my phone charger and housekeeping kindly came by with a loaner, which was a lifesaver! One problem--the walls are PAPER thin. I heard a guy sneezing, various conversations, kids screaming for quite sometime and I think dogs barking? I was also right by the ice machine which was very loud. The noise was the only ding on an otherwise perfect stay. I would go back, but I'd bring earplugs next time!
google avatar

Aaron P.

Yelp
Loved this place. The staff was great and the gym was awesome. Room was comfortable and convenient for everything we needed downtown. The bagel shop in the lobby forgot a component of my friends order and the front desk fixed it and had someone bring it up to our room so that we didn't have to wait in line and it was a really nice service touch. Will def be back next time we are in Seattle.
google avatar

Louie M.

Yelp
Their customer service is horrible and the front desk was zero help when booking a room. I also left a message for the manager and no one ever returned my calls.
google avatar

Yelp
We stayed three nights here during the Thanksgiving long weekend. The location was fantastic. It was close by to shopping and restaurants. The hotel was spacious. Staff were friendly. We had an upper floor room and the view was great. Valet parking was a bit on the expensive side, but it was expected for downtown prices. There were a couple breakfast options on the ground floor - bagels and small eats. Their main hotel restaurant was only open for evening service. Walls were a bit thin so I could hear my neighbours. I found the pillows to be on the softer side. Bed was comfy.
google avatar

Tammy E.

Yelp
This is a beautiful boutique hotel by Hyatt. The much larger Hyatt Regency is right across the street and is more corporate. The Olive 8 has a more personal feel to it and is a bit more cozy. It has all the trappings of a top of the line hotel and it was refreshing to be in a hotel that did not smell like vape pens or other products. The clientele was also quite classy. Their air filtration system is obviously doing wonders as I did not notice any allergies. NFL teams playing the Seahawks stay at this hotel and I was surprised at how unassuming they all were. That was interesting to share an elevator with them!

Yelp
I stayed here in Aug 2021- I would recommend. The nicest gym I've ever seen- not just in a hotel- but ever- as far as every type of equipment that 1 may desire. Hotel clean & staff friendly. I did appreciate the friendly but not pushy signage everywhere regarding masks & hygiene.
google avatar

Yelp
Quick Summary Had a difficult time choosing 4 or 5 stars on this review, but went with 5 stars because of the fantastic service, clean rooms, and the full service gym Room- 4 stars The room was clean and we had a great view of Seattle. The only complaint I had was Hyatt's shower design with the lack of a glass door, which leads to alot of draft when you're showering. Also, I'm not sure if the doors were thin, but you get the standard loud doors slamming at a hotel throughout the day. But otherwise, with a great price point, this was still overall a great experience at a great price. Service- 5 stars The staff was fantastic. Very friendly, accommodating and helpful throughout our entire stay Gym- 5 stars I was quite impressed by the hotel gym. They had 2 Pelatons, the standard ellipticals and treadmills. But they also had a free weight section, a Smith machine, a machine for each muscle group, and a free stretch/aerobic area as well. It was also very clean, provided clean/fresh towels, and water. Was quite blown away by this amenity Bottom Line Really enjoyed our stay at Hyatt at Olive 8. The clean rooms, excellent service, and amenities were spectacular

Yelp
We had a really great experience at the Hyatt at Olive 8. We had an early flight into Seattle where we landed at 8:30am. We went straight to the hotel and though they didn't have our room ready (duh), they put us on a priority early check-in list and we were able to checkin by 11am! In the meantime, they gave us access to the spa area so we could change out of our travel clothes and they held onto our bags for us. We started exploring the city for a couple hours and then they texted us that our room was ready. How convenient! We loved our room. We stayed in the luxury king suite which gave us ample room to lounge about. The hotel was quiet and low key while having everything we might have needed. The staff was incredibly friendly as well. I would certainly not hesitate to stay here again when returning to Seattle.

Yelp
Before writing this, I stopped and thought about if this hotel was Good or Great. Ultimately I decided that it was Good, bordering on Great but to be great -- you need to really Wow me. Which it did not but it made me stop and think for 30 seconds though which I think puts in in Very Good maybe? + Value is solid + Staff is solid + Services is solid + Pool and jacuzzi and spa stuff is solid + In room amenities was solid, although I wish there was a bathtub + I slept well on the bed + Everything was clean and classy from the moment you walk in + Location is good if you like exploring from downtown So I do recommend this hotel if you are coming here for a recommendation on it. My lone criticism is to expect quality but not overwhelming luxury (for this price range).

Yelp
Stayed here a few days for a conference at Amazon. Location is conveniently 5 min walking distance from the Amazon office. Rooms are nice and clean except the hair dryer doesn't work. It will also be nice if the digital key works in the elevator.
google avatar

Yelp
I spend 4 nights here as I was attending a work conference across the street. The hotel has some amazing amenities. The hot tub, pool, sauna and steam room did not disappoint. They also have a great fitness room to get your early morning workout out of the way. Down in the lobby, they have a good place that sells bagel sandwiches and coffee. The room was spacious and had a great view.

Yelp
Just spent two nights at this great hotel over the three day weekend. Dropped the kids at Grandma's and came with my wife for a weekend getaway. Check In: Fast, Friendly, and efficient. Our room was ready at 1:30 when we checked in. We got a room on the 15th floor. Complimentary champagne for my wife's birthday as well. Appreciated. Room: Nice room. No bathtub which wasn't a problem. Everything we needed. Pillows left something to be desired. Facilities: Aweome indoor pool, hot tub, gym and steam room. Great coffee stand down in the lobby. Enjoyed the hotel bar as well. Location: It's great. We walked pretty much everywhere. Pikes market is about a ten minute walk. Final Thoughts: Great hotel in downtown Seattle. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Yelp
Olive Olive 8 so much. Note: This review isn't on value (I'm a teacher, so I don't have to worry about money). What I liked about Hyatt Olive 8: 1. Location. 5-minute walk to Westlake Station, so you're close enough to enjoy the convenience, but not close enough to smell the homeless people with their hot dog wrapper handkerchiefs and crusty jars of poop. 2. The floor was super cushiony. It was spongey. I felt spongeworthy. It was like when you have a job where you stand in a warehouse all day but your stupid boss finally gets you a black sponge mat but you then you get your exacto knife and cut out little squares and staple gun them to your shoes. It's like that, but without all the "getting fired" bs. 3. The room has the top-of-the-line LectroFan sound machine. Perfect for masking your piroshki and clam chowder farts. 4. Huge, perfectly clean, well-insulated and appointed room. 5. Little perks: free water bottles in the room fridge, plus personal bottles of hand sanitizer, premium soaps, firm bed, central a/c and heat, TVs that support your streaming subscriptions, and a pod coffee maker (I hate the environment). 6. Every single staff member was super nice, treating us like we were Pete Davidson and whoever he's dating now. Hit and miss: I liked that they had a hot tub, but hated that it wasn't relaxing at all. 1. It's super bright, 2. the parents let their kids in there. Not much the hotel can do about it, I guess, except maybe hand out special "grounding" bracelets at check-in and without them, you get electrocuted when you enter the hot tub. Not electrocuted a lot, just enough to pop your floaties. Also, they did not have vending machines, but NYC Deli was in another Hyatt only 3 minutes away on foot. And they have a bagel place I liked a hole bunch.
google avatar

Karli S.

Yelp
I do not normally leave reviews for hotels but this one really deserves it, the check in was easy and everyone was very helpful and the pool/hot tub spa area was so nice and all the immediate's were very nice and they made the best suggestion of where to eat. 10 out of 10 would come again!

I had a one night lay over in Seattle and selected this property due to location and size of room. I was quite impressed with this modern, nicely appointed, well staffed, and comfortable hotel. Our king room with view was very clean and super spacious (400+ plus square feet). The bed is plush, and the furnishings were attractively decorated. The shower is ample with the pleasantly scented Bee Kind products. For convenience, an in-room coffee maker was handy in the room. No need to go out for coffee in the AM for that must have caffeine. The lobby is large and grand for this hotel range-type. There are multiple elevators which are swift. There is a modern restaurant and a Starbucks in the large lobby. I would stay here again.

Yelp
We paid for a king room and given a queen, it was the weekend of the Taylor Swift concert, and I'm sure entirely booked, so did not ask for a different room, I followed up with someone afterward, and was told it was a narrow king and should be expected. It was definitely queen size, and was also when reserving, it said king, not narrow king, so it was not expected.

Yelp
Our first stay at this Hyatt and surprised at how bad it was. Soundproofing is horrible as we could hear our neighbors talking til nearly 1 am and heard every entry door as it was open and shut. Not Hyatt's fault but garbage collection starts at 6 am in the adjacent alley. The "blankets" on the bed was a super thin sheet. Blazing Bagels in the lobby serves stale, day old bagels for $8.

Yelp
Hotel was clean, the restaurant down stairs was good. The gym was nice - the view is pretty and it's close to things.

Yelp
I LOVED STAYING HERE! The spa, pool, sauna, the service, free bottled water and ice brought to our room. I enjoyed the bar and restaurant, friendly staff, and the coffee and bagels in the morning. Parked off site but it was close and easy to find. 10/10 would recommend- you will not regret it

Yelp
Overall great stay but when booking this hotel I could have sworn it stated a pool on site. It's centrally located, the rooms are very clean and the overall floor was very quiet. The overnight parking charge was slightly cheaper than hotel competitors which was a plus. I do wish the lobby bar had been open because it would of been nice to unwind in the evening with a nice drink. Over a lovely stay. Our room had a great view of the current construction sites.

Yelp
Solid comfortable and relatively central choice for accomodations. Room was spacious, plenty of room despite the double queen, a sitting area and a desk area. Mattresses were comfortable: cushy and firm enough--my mother who was a light sleeper was able to to go back to sleep easily after waking up in the middle of the night. Room conveniences included a mini-fridge, in-room safe, bathrobes and iron and ironing board. The rooms were mostly eco-friendly: the bathroom and foyer lights, and the TV must be activated with the room key, but the desk and night stand lights stayed on. The bathroom did not have an extractor, although steaming was not an issue. Hotel was a block away from 2 other Hyatt properties, a few blocks from Westlake Center and Pacific Place (both not good for post-pandemic shopping) with their food courts and the monorail. Note: that these shopping center doors are locked until about 10 a.m. so access to the monorail is via the Translink station entrance near Nordstrom on Pine St. There are quite a few coffee places offering quick bites near by: Anchorhead, Mr. West, Cherry St. Cafe, beside Starbucks. Re: Covid precautions, the property is contactless and the staff wore masks, and there were hand sanitizers scattered throughout the property. The elevators were not 100% contactless as after using the room key to authorize use, one still had to push a button. As out of state visitors, we tried to keep our masks on while in elevators and other confined spaces, although we did not always wear our masks walking through the hallways. At check-in we were asked if we preferred daily housekeeping or housekeeping mid-way through our stay. As of 1 week after our stay in the hotel and in the Seattle area, we were still negative by the antigen test. Would re-visit, assuming that the location and price point works.

Yelp
Our stay at Hyatt at Olive 8 was great! The room was nice and the bed was super comfortable. I liked that they offer slippers to walk around the room. They also offer valet, it was a little on the pricier side but they do let you in & out vs the lots around the area which I believe close for the night. The hotel is also walking distance to other restaurants & shops. We ate at the bagel shop near the lobby and it was delicious - get the bacon & egg on jalapeño cheddar! The staff there was nice and I didn't encounter any problems while staying there. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
I think I may have just found my favorite hotel in downtown Seattle. The Hyatt at Olive 8 has SUPER cute rooms that are well organized. There's a short bench for putting on shoes. The closet even comes with an organizer. The door for the bathroom is this super cute barn door that slides, rather than opens & closes like a hinge. There is an indoor pool for swimming laps, and the fitness area is actually functional, rather than 2 treadmills inside a broom closet. There is so so so much to like about this hotel. It's just a few steps from the Paramount Theater in downtown and walkable to tons of restaurants. Hyatt at Olive 8 is going to be my home hotel from now on!

Yelp
This was our first time at Olive 8 after hearing rave reviews from all our friends. We loved it! From the super friendly front desk staff, to the cheerful staff in valet and the helpful staff at Urbane, we were very pleased with our stay. Our daughters loved the indoor pool and the baskets of fresh apples at the front desk. Our suite was beautiful on the 17th floor and gave us plenty of sun even when the day was cold. The location is fantastic and we were able to walk almost everywhere we wanted to go! We will be back!

Yelp
Super friendly front receptions and managers. The moment I entered the hotel after a long commute, I feel happy that someone just there to speak with the guest and makes them relax a bit. The manager also let me know that there's fitness center on the 2nd floor with swimming pool and sauna. If you forget to bring your swimming suit, there's an old navy store and many places around to get one. I visited the swimming pool and the water was in perfect temperature- warm and relaxing. There's also a spa on the second floor with massage and a nail salon. Didn't get to visit but good to hear their service. There's a coffee shop and a restaurant within the hotel, very convenient to grab a drink. I appreciate the spa fruity water at the lobby. Overall very nice amenities. The room was spotless clean. There's tea and water. Small compartment but good enough to put many things. There's a small fridge which usually I don't like it in the room because of the noise but this one was quiet enough that it did not bothers me. One of the late night I was wondering where to go to heat up my food. I called the help desk to find out where the microwave is. Amazing that they said they will send one to my room. In few mins someone came with a microwave and I was able to use it whenever I needed. The room feels very safe and it has a nice working desk. WiFi was good enough for working and for conference/ video calls. The hotel itself is in the downtown and .2 ml from the Pacific Center / Din Thai Fung building with many shops. There's an Amazon locker at the same building, I was able to purchase things I need during my trip and pick it up there. I use Uber to get to the hotel from SEA airport about $35. Then my daily commute to my office near the Pier 55 was around $8 overall very convenient and I can always request a Uber and arrive to the hotel within 3 minutes. The only down side during my stay was I requested a quiet room and I was on 15th floor aka the quiet room floor during my stay, but there was crazy construction going on at midnight from 11PM-5AM for 3 nights from Sunday-Tuesday on Feb 24-27th. I woke up in the early morning because of the noise almost every hour then I moved myself to the bed closer to the hallway which helps a bit away from the noise coming out at the window side. I will visit again and hopefully it's a real nice quiet room. I will recommend this hotel to my friends, colleagues and relatives.

Yelp
Excellent customer service and clean nice rooms. Close proximity to Many places we planned to visit. We walked a lot but also rented a car for the day.

Yelp
Overall decent spot with exceptional service at desk and valet. Front desk person this evening replenished my waters, provided a free toothbrush, which saved me at least 30 mins, and shared solid advice for upcoming day trip. Recommend this hotel based on front desk staff alone. Gym also spacious and clean.

Yelp
OMG, such a beautiful property and top notch customer service. Check in and check out process was smooth and easy. Situated right in the heart of Seattle, this place is close to restaurants and high end shopping malls. The rooms are spacious and very neat and contemporary. I stayed here only for one night - I wish I had spent more time here, to take advantage of the pools and the spa. Will stay here again in the heartbeat during my next visit to Seattle.
