I have had the most challenging experience with this office. I'm not sure if these other 5-star reviews were incentivized or if they are legitimate, but I feel a duty to share my experience based on the truth. The office is clean and welcoming, I will give them that location is great, parking is a challenge, and I really do wish I could give them a 5-star review, as I was very hopeful and even relatively satisfied through the first year of my son's treatment-
My issues stem from the organization, including constant incorrect appointment dates and times, rudeness by some staff members, and the orthodontist, Dr. Morgan, himself.
My son was initially scheduled to have his braces removed in April or May, but he broke one bracket, which was fixed within 48 hours. They said 48 hours set him back a month which did not make sense but- when I called in to get an expected time of treatment completion Dr. Morgan told me it was "unfair" for me to ask him to look at my son braces to get and ET of completion and he would get to it when he got to it. I was flabbergasted, and this comes on the heels of my consistent requests over the past two months for an estimated time of completion, due to my son's move to another state to attend college... I'm sorry, I thought I was paying for a service, and I was within my purview to know when the service would be completed. I couldn't understand why this request was being met with resistance.
My son finally gets his braces off next month. They again scheduled him over six weeks out, which prolongs his time in the braces. I requested an earlier date because I would be out of town on the 15th, so I went in and explained this to the young lady at the desk. She rescheduled him for the 8th to accommodate us. The 8th came, and I called to confirm the time because I had not received a confirmation and was told it had never been changed... My son will be off to college in another state in a month, so this is a considerable inconvenience. He was supposed to have them off in May at the latest. We've never missed a single appointment, etc. However, they don't seem to care that he will be out of state and needs to stay on a strict timeline to have them off in early August before his move. Even if there was a necessary reason to prolong the treatment, I couldn't understand why it wasn't communicated and why it became an issue when I inquired... so strange.
Update: My employer changed our dental insurance last year. Unfortunately, my new insurance did not pay as much towards my son's braces as my previous coverage did. No one from the office ever mentioned anything to me about the change in coverage until my son's last adjustment, when they stated that he couldn't remove his braces or retainer until the balance that I had no idea existed was paid off. Over $ 1,200.00. Keep in mind that my insurance was changed nearly a year ago, yet it was never mentioned. This was infuriating... I wish they had enough respect for their clients to stay on top of billing. It would have been much easier to pay $100.00 extra a month, as opposed to dropping $ 1,200.00 on a random Tuesday.
I suggest they conduct a 180- and 90-day review of patients nearing the end of their treatment plan.
It's been exhausting; the ineptitude and rudeness are the cherry on top.
