The food is literally mediocre, ESPECIALLY for the price point. We got seafood, sides, appetizers and drinks.
It wasn't bad, but no part of it was the least bit special, creative, or memorable. I'd go so far as to say the flavor is on the same level as Cracker Barrel, which is good, but again... $3 potatoes versus $15 potatoes. And $50 salmon that has NO special seasoning, sauce, or anything. It was as bland as the salmon I cook for my dog.
Having experienced this, the only conclusion I have about it's location, pricing and stars is that it's a posh place to go for the namesake (price point, white linen service). Our server was lovely. Otherwise, I feel absolutely robbed of $300 (dinner for 2), and embarrassed that's where I took my partner to celebrate.
These things happen, thank goodness for reviews. I think if you read the other reviews, including the positive ones, you'll seldom see that the recipes are outstanding. And the price point comes into play, because you'd expect that the dishes would be as outstanding as the price points, or even close, perhaps in presentation if not flavor. Neither exists. This was food I'd eat, e.g. at a franchise restaurant where you get what you pay for, quick, easy, edible, decent service. Here, you get excellent service and ambiance while you get served...a meal that should be priced 13.99.
Check out the 5 star review before mine. The individual talks about parking, water, and upscale, and makes a list of items with no mention of food flavor. funny part...the person mentions the delicious butter. We thought so too!!! The butter was amazing. Worth $300? Nah...
Ugh...there should be a chef that's wallopping your taste buds. It should be an experience.
