Il Casaro Pizzeria

This place is one of the best Italian restaurants that I visited recently at San Francisco. We ordered pizza and lasagna. The food was fresh and the pizza had a good smoky flavor. Seriously one of the best pizzas you can taste. Their chili oil elated the flavor. The oil was not spicy and their chillis was pickled, unique flavors. Will definitely recommend people to visit this place for their pizzas. Then we had 4 cheese lasagna. For me personally it was a bit heavy as it was just cheese but there are other types of lasagna you can try. The pasta sheets in lasagna was fresh and soft. We had an outdoor dining experience and the ambience was lively and vibrant. Their service was also fast and amicable. Their pricing was also not that expensive for the food. Overall a great experience and will definitely come back for sure.

Fantastic Italian food! We had 2 pastas and a pizza to share between the 2 of us and we were super full! The pizza was amazing, very tasty, hot, and crispy! Their chili oil is very good too!

"The best pizza I have ever eaten in America!," said the teenager who devoured 1.5 of these pizzas. Unbelievably delicious food and service. We have traveled all over Italy, New York, Chicago, and New Haven sampling pizzas and Il Casaro really knocked our socks off. Crust is a simply perfect blend of soft yet not doughy. Cheese, sausages, and vegetables were fresh. The chili olive oil on the side for dipping your crust or pizza equals next level fantastic!!! Our service was exceptional too. True Italians here. They obviously want you to enjoy and have a hearty and memorable meal. They gave us great suggestions and food was served promptly and at perfect temperatures. We were thirsty after a long day of seeing San Francisco and every time we emptied a glass a new bottle of chilled water or fresh drink magically appeared. We also tried the fresh mozzarella appetizer and it was excellent and served with scrumptious salad and thin bread. Magnificent. People come to North Beach to try other famous pizza places but THIS is a place not to miss. Wish we had left room to try the deserts and coffees because other dinners were raving and they looked gorgeous. It is also remarkably inexpensive for the very high quality service making it a very family friendly choice. We even convinced two other groups to head in who were outside debating.

I recently visited Il Casaro Pizzeria and was really disappointed by the Neapolitan pizza. It lacked flavor and was pretty tasteless on its own. I ended up having to add hot sauce or oil just to give it some taste, which isn’t something I expect from a highly ranked pizzeria. We also tried the calzone, which was better than the prosciutto and margherita pizzas, though still nothing special. The prosciutto pizza was the worst—it felt like the flavors didn’t combine well at all. There are definitely better Neapolitan pizza places in SF, and I’m not sure why this one has such a high ranking

This pizzeria offers a very good pizza with fresh ingredients, delivering an authentic taste you'd find in Italy. The service was fast and friendly, enhancing the dining experience. However, I found the pizza to be overpriced, which slightly diminishes the overall value for money.

Authentic Italian place, however the team members were a bit ignorant? We sat down, received a menu, decided what to order and we were sat waiting for at least 20 min before the waiter approached us, even tho we made eye contact multiple of times. It wasn’t busy either so can’t understand why it took so long. Food was good but a bit too salty but I guess that’s normal in the US.

My boyfriend and I stopped here during our trip to San Francisco and I was so pleasantly surprised. The pizza is authentic, and it tastes like it does in Italy, and the service was great and quick. We were even asked for espresso at the end, which idk if they always do, or if it was easy to understand Im Italian lol Thanks guys, probably the best pizza I’ve had in my past 5 years living in the US.
