Best Los Angeles Restaurants for Your Wedding Day, According to Eater Editors | Eater LA

"With a beautiful Italian garden-style interior (even the front door sits under an arch of bougainvillea), Il Cielo remains one of the most romantic restaurants in the city. So it makes sense that it works as a phenomenal late afternoon or early evening wedding venue with pastas (think homemade pappardelle with Maine lobster and earthy white truffle sauce), steaks, and salads that should appeal to a wide range of guests. With indoor and outdoor spaces to host a wedding event, couples will be able to choose if they want to migrate from room to room, or stay localized to one area, like the plant-adorned courtyard." - Nicole Adlman

Il Cielo - Review - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"This old-school Beverly Hills restaurant is now open for patio dining, complete with a patio filled with lush trees, Roman columns, chandeliers and white tablecloths. Focus on the polpette, bucatini all’Amatriciana, chicken milanese, and lots of focaccia. Reservations can be made here. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

The food is great but not mind blowing. That out of the way the atmosphere and service are excellent. The place really sets the tone for the experience. You are met with a house setting style with light decor and it feels comfortable and fancy. The service are on top of things and they are nice and professional. The food is good but I wasn't all that impressed. The calamari was excellent it was soft and crunchy not chewy. The ravioli was okay and the portion was a bit small. The steak was again good but I've definitely had better like Gwen or Nick and Steff. The mashed potatoes was very average. Very solid meal though. The drinks were excellent. Definitely do valet the parking sucks.

My boyfriend and I had the most wow and romantic dinner. My boyfriend coordinated with the owner on creating a special, private dinner for the two of us. It blew us away. The roses, decor, thoughtfulness and the food were all memorable and perfect. Thank you and also our waiter for your kindness and creating the best anniversary dinner we could have asked for.

I recently had the pleasure of celebrating my friend's birthday at Il Cielo Restaurant, and it was truly a night to remember! From the moment we walked in, we were treated to exceptional service, delicious Italian cuisine, and a romantic atmosphere that made our special occasion even more unforgettable. But what really made the evening stand out was the thoughtful and beautiful touch of having our table decorated with flower petals. It was such a lovely surprise, and it made our celebration feel even more special and meaningful. The attention to detail and the effort that the staff put into making our evening memorable was truly impressive. The service was also top-notch, with friendly and attentive servers who made sure that our glasses were always full and our plates were never empty. Overall, I would highly recommend Il Cielo Restaurant to anyone looking for a romantic and memorable dining experience. The combination of delicious food, exceptional service, and beautiful atmosphere makes it the perfect spot for special occasions. And the flower petals on the table were the perfect touch! Tip: If you're celebrating a special occasion, be sure to let the staff know. They'll go above and beyond to make it a memorable evening!"

So so gorgeous and perfect for an anniversary or birthday dinner! The service is amazing with such kind servers and amazing food - we had the tiramisu, pollo arrosto, and tortellini and all three were so good! Spicy margaritas are also great!

We went back for our anniversary. I asked for the romantic setup, and as usual, it was awesome. We always order the white truffle and lobster pasta. Which is amazing! Highly recommend it. I also ordered the filet mignon, ordered it medium, and it came medium well. Also, the prices are a bit high, but we still go for the memories 😂. At the end of the dinner, they provided a chocolate mousse cake part of the package, and I personally dont like much chocolate, but my fiancée likes it. If you are a chocolate lover, I'm sure it would definitely suit you 😁 I highly recommend it for a romantic dinner and I personally think the package is not badly priced. Even for group parties, the times I've been there, there's been big group gatherings, and they seem to be having a great time. Just keep on mind the prices and the 18% tip added for romantic packages or big groups. 🙂

Visited this location on my husband's birthday. No one asked if we are celebrating something? My husband's water glass was broken, and we let them now. They took the broken glass and said another battle of water is on the house. No, I am sorry, nothing. The second battle of water was on the check. Food was mediocre, nothing wow. We ordered a desert and I went to the waiter and told him it was my husband birthday. Desert was the best! That's the reason I gave a 4-star review. Appetizer: Calamari Maine courses: Salmon and Burata e Aragosta. Desert : Chocolate lava cake.

Must try! Small, cozy! Live music great cocktails and food! It's a bit expensive but honestly worth it! I have no pictures because we ate so fast! From the bread to the two risottos! And how can you skip the dessert, probably one of the best tiramisu I've had!

Google
I had high hopes for Il Cielo given all the glowing 5-star reviews, but after dining here, I can’t help but wonder what those people were thinking. My experience was nothing short of awful. First off, the waiters were shockingly rude, making us feel like an inconvenience the entire time. To make matters worse, they failed to mention that the water they were pouring was a staggering $10 a bottle. What a sneaky and dishonest move! The food? Completely mediocre and bland. For a restaurant that charges these prices, you’d expect something remotely memorable, but this was anything but. And despite the simple order we placed, they still managed to get it wrong. What really pushed things over the edge was the automatic 20% gratuity charge tacked on for service that didn’t even deserve a tip. It’s insulting to be forced to pay extra for such a terrible experience. I genuinely don’t understand why so many people rave about this place. They’re either blinded by the ambiance or willing to overlook the abysmal service and mediocre food just to say they’ve been here. But if you care about good food, decent service, or honesty in pricing, steer clear of Il Cielo. It’s not worth the hype or the money.

Yelp
Came here for Valentines Dinner with the wife. We had a great experience. Our server Massimo provided five star service. He went above and beyond the normal expectations. The food was also delicious. I had the Ribeye with salad and mashed potatoes.

Yelp
I came back here to treat my partner to a nice dinner on a Sunday night. I got there early and he run late but the servers let me sit at my table and wait until he arrived. Where we sat was by the entrance but it wasn't too cold (I get cold easily). The seating area at the front of the restaurant is covered by a clear tent but it does not feel cheap at all with the planted trees and fairy lights. We had the DineLA menu - at first I thought we both had to pick the same things but the server let us know we can each pick what we want for the courses. I ended up getting the salad, filet mignon (debated long and hard with the Branzino), and panna cotta. My partner ordered the Pappardelle white sauce pasta, filet mignon, and tiramisu. He said that the pasta was the best one he had ever had in his life! I did have a bite of it and it was very delicious :) I ordered my filet mignon medium rare and he ordered it medium and we ended up switching because it was too rare for me (but that was on me). Panna cotta is my favorite Italian desserts and I have been trying them at different places - this one was pretty good. My parents love Italian food so I would love to come back and bring my parents here.

Yelp
Pros: - its a beautiful restaurant in a great part of BH - valet is likely the rule for parking unless you have a way of parking in the neighborhood Cons: - food is just OK. its overpriced and not as good as other places, but the backdrop makes up for it. - service is reasonable but not memorable.
google avatar

Yelp
Definitely over hyped and overpriced. My husband wanted a romantic evening for Valentine's Day but with the prefixed menu I was not impressed. It was also a complete disappointment that not even a glass of wine or champagne was included with our meal. But, I wish I got the name of our server he was really nice and the bussers had incredible service. The hostess were rude and when I asked if they found my glasses anywhere they gave me a snooty respond (literally lost them that night). The vibes were romantic but will not be back. And don't recommend.

Yelp
I am writing this review after experiencing their awful 2025 Valentine's Day fixed menu. Experience: Reservations were made for 7:30pm, we arrived on time, we were forced to wait an additional 20 minutes before getting seated. To me this is disrespectful as we made reservations for a reason and honored the time by being punctual. As a restaurant you have to hold your end of the bargain. The decor was subpar and the restaurant could have done a better job at keeping the inside tables warm. The food took a long time to get to us. Between the appetizer and the entree the wait was 50 minutes. Just way too long for something that is prefixed. It was evident that the delay was happening because of the kitchen. Quality of the Food: Not even kidding this meal was disgusting. Everything was so under seasoned and subpar. I ordered the vegetarian option, the salad was fine, nothing to cry home about. The entree was awful. There was no seasoning or depth to the dish. It legit tasted like a toasted squash with some cut up artichoke and boiled quinoa thrown on top. My boyfriend had the fillet mignon with potatoes. The fillet did not have a good sear and was unevenly cooked, it was like getting a fillet mignon at Sizzler. The potato was just baked, with no salt or pepper, just thrown on the plate. This meal was one of the worst meals we have both had and for $300 dollars a person, it is completely unacceptable quality and experience. Please do not even consider this place for your Valentine's Day experience. 0/10 would not recommend this nasty place.

Yelp
A Hidden Gem for a Romantic Night Out. This restaurant is absolutely charming--perfect for a romantic date night! The ambiance is intimate and the staff is incredibly warm and friendly. I ordered the tuna tartare and filet mignon, and both were excellent. Our waiter, Masimo, was outstanding--attentive, hospitable, and made our experience even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a cozy spot with great food and service, this place is a must-visit.

Yelp
Il Cielo had been on my list of places to try for a long time. My friend and I got a reservation for a Saturday night and got seated in the patio area which was beautiful. I got a gin cocktail that was delicious, and I also enjoyed the onion focaccia served complementary before the meal. They unfortunately didn't have a gluten free bread option for my friend. I ordered the burrata ravioli which was amazing. The pasta and sauce were amazing and it was just the right amount.

Yelp
My husband and I went out to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were expecting a nice, beautiful rose decoration inside, as in previous years. Because our anniversary is near Valentine's Day, there have always been beautiful rose decorations whenever we celebrated there. But this time, there weren't any. Also, we arrived a bit earlier than the opening time, so the host took us to a waiting area with a small bar. We ordered two cocktails and waited to be seated. A few minutes later, the host let us know our seats were ready. So we closed our tabs, and they gave us the bill for the drinks. But they charged us a 20% gratuity; I think this is a big mistake. We didn't complain because I didn't want to ruin our anniversary. The host took us to our seats, and we ordered two filet mignons. They raised the price from around $50 to $70. But as long as the food was good, I thought it should be okay. But the steak wasn't as soft as before, and they served a small piece of bread for an appetizer. The bread wasn't good. We have been to this restaurant for about 10 years for celebrations. But now we are looking for somewhere else to celebrate instead of going to Il Cielo.

Yelp
I have been wanting to try Il Cielo for ages. I finally came last Tuesday for dinner. My experience was great . We were seated at the patio which is gorgeous and cozy now I know why the patio is so popular. My sea bass was delicious so the fried calamari . Our waiter was super ! It was so easy to find a parking spot just in front of the restaurant. I totally recommend to come on a week day.

Yelp
So very impressed. From apps to dinner, to dessert, they do it all, and they dp it all well. Staff was excellent overall. My husband has a lot of allergy issues so he was only able to eat very limited items off the menu. I do feel like the waiter was rude to him and appeared annoyed that he was not ordering too many items. Did not ruin our experience but, come on, lighten up! Loved he calamari, and they did a beautiful birthday dessert as well.
google avatar

Yelp
The restaurant itself is gorgeous with all of the greenery and lights. However the food itself is overpriced and underwhelming. I got the totelli di burrata. It was very creamy and vibrant colored. I think the cheese was a bit overpowering and it felt like something taste wise was missing, maybe something a bit more acidic or something to cut through the richness.
google avatar

Taylor K.

Yelp
Overall mid experience. The service was great the restaurant was cute. The waiter offered wine options that fit my specific tastes (very well!!) the food was fine. Nothing to write home about. Would definitely say overpriced. I wanted more flavor/spice something! But maybe we didn't order the right thing... Cute for a date night but there are other good options close.

Yelp
Took our daughter there for her 18th birthday, what a first class experience!! The ambience is off the charts, the food was amazing and the service couldn't have been better, ask for Massimo if he's working, amazing service from him really made our experience!!!
google avatar

Jaqueline C.

Yelp
This restaurant is definitely a romantic scene, the ambiance for a Friday night was very intimate and also a hint of casual. The menu offers mocktails which are a nice gesture for those who don't drink. Our server Massimo was very kind and attentive. Patio was well lit for an early anniversary dinner and the staff was so helpful. My water was never empty, we were offered free table bread and our dinner felt course out very smoothly. I feel anyone can come and enjoy what Il Cielo had to offer wether it be a casual dinner or and intimate date night. My partner and I enjoyed the Truffle pasta ($85) feature they offered as well as the salmon ($44) they had on the menu. Everything was perfect and we ordered a tiramisu for desert that was beautifully plated and had a handwritten happy anniversary note which was so very kind.

Yelp
Il Cielo is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was enchanting. The service? Stellar. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we felt special. The food was a delightful experience--each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. It's the perfect spot for a romantic dinner or a celebration. Highly recommend! Don't miss out on this heavenly spot!

Yelp
Food, service, ambiance were all so amazing! We did Dine LA and for 69$ I got the beef filet, homemade pappardelle with truffle, and the best panna cotta I've literally ever had! I recommend all of it.

Yelp
Pretty good restaurant, they have a cute outdoor area that's perfect for celebrations. The service was great, food was okay, drinks were good.

Arsineh G.

Yelp
My husband and I had 9pm reservations last night but we didn't get seated until 10pm, and we weren't served our dinner until 11pm. The staff was friendly and trying their best to accommodate all guests, but management needs to do a better job at managing reservations for a busy night, and not overbooking. Definitely avoid this restaurant on holidays. The food was good but definitely not worth waiting two hours for. Would not return.
google avatar

Candace W.

Yelp
I came here and had high hopes but it was just okay. The drinks were good but the bar area is on the smaller side and can feel crammed. I really enjoyed the patio that had an opened skylight which made for a beautiful night. The pasta was super delicious and you could tell it was fresh. The salad was supposed to be caesar but it came with tomatoes? It also had a giant crouton that was hard to eat without picking it up with my fingers. I ordered the short rib for my entree and the mashed potatoes were full of horseradish flavor. I was not a fan and it was not appetizing at all. The meat itself was tender but I had to eat away from the potatoes and carrots and everything just tasted like horseradish. For dessert it said a chocolate cake but what came out was a slice of a sheet cake that looked like a Black Forest cake. Will probably not come back any time soon.

Yelp
Ambiance for Valentine's Day was so beautiful and lovely. We were lucky to have the best seats in the house. The waiters were alright but needs to be retrained since some doesn't know how to service at all. They were all over the place and a lot of the guests noticed it too. The food was 3/5 for the price, we expected more. We spent over $700 that night for 2/5 service. One of the older waiter rolled his eyes when I asked for water LOL. I love Ciello because this was my go to place but I hope the up their service and management.

Kohar S.

Yelp
Came for a valentine dinner on 2/15/25. Made reservations for 7:45 and didn't get seated until 8:30. We noticed other tables had focaccia so we asked a random waiter if they could give us some as well. It came fresh and was delicious, however our own waiter never offered us any. After waiting almost two hours, our food came at 10pm. It was the most bland and lackluster meal I've ever had at a restaurant, let alone at an "esteemed" restaurant such as Il Cielo. Our waiter apologized for the length we waited and asked if we wanted anything complimentary, we declined because the food was so bad and just wanted to leave already. When the check came, we asked the waiter if we could use an Il Cielo gift card that was gifted to us, even though it was a 1-2 year old gift card. He said no, gift cards are for online only. We were confused, because the gift card expressly states "Present this card for use at the following location only" ...see photo attached. We insisted he at least check with a manager to make sure it cannot be used, because it seemed rather odd to deny customers using a gift card. Even though we didn't know how much money was on it, we just wanted him to check for us! He came back and gave us our receipt, which indicated a charge for $126 and some change. When we opened the check holder, the gift card was gone. He explained to us that it covered the bill "just enough" and we are all set. He withheld the gift card from us, which we thought was so peculiar and concerning almost. When we asked for the gift card back he said he doesn't know how much is left on it, and it probably is used up completely. Now I'm no mathematician or restaurateur, and I do not know how much was gifted to us on this card originally, but I DO KNOW that no one would buy a gift card and fill it with $126 and some change. It would either have $150, or $175, or $200 on it, leaving a balance of some sort on it regardless. I'm not saying that I would ever come back to eat at Il Cielo and use the balance, but I know it's only right to keep our card since there's SOME money left over on it. The way he was so hesitant to give us the card back seemed as if there was $1M in bitcoin on the card and it was like he struck gold and couldn't part ways with the card. VERY ODD BEHAVIOR. We put our foot down and insisted he just give it back to us regardless. Before handing it over, he asked if we needed our receipt. We said no, then he took the receipt and wrote down the gift card number on the back of the receipt and put it in his pocket. He finally gave us the gift card and we left. Not sure if he wants to delete the card from the system or what.... But we felt awkward AF and definitely won't ever come back to use the remainder of the gift card anyways because the food and service was so poor. I liked the ambiance, and the focaccia, but that's all. Don't waste your time or money here.

Yelp
The food and service was great . I would come here again . I had fish and it was really good .

Sally M.

Yelp
Prepare to get ripped off. Exorbitant prices for mediocre experience. You're paying for a lovely ambience... and the annoying server watching and hovering over you the entire time, eager to take plates away. Some dishes were good (not great), others were lacking. They didn't even get the Caesar salad right. They start by bringing each diner a tasteless piece of bread. Menu descriptions are vague and misleading, with no price listing on several items (so they can sneakily raise prices on a whim). $30 for plain water. $22 for a glass of bad wine. In case you bring your own bottle, corkage fee is $60. And they charge 20% gratuity. You leave feeling robbed. They miss the mark here. With so many beautiful options in LA, there won't be a repeat visit to this place.

Rony M.

Yelp
Outrageous price gouging mediocre food and service with bus boys constantly hovering around the table very ungracious management limited menu without pricing IN THE RESTAURANT!!!!!
google avatar

Launi K.

Yelp
My husband and I go for our anniversary dinner at Il Cielo every other year. This restaurant is consistent and beautiful. There are not many restaurants in Los Angeles that will give you the romantic ambience you want. The service is always excellent. They take care of their patrons leaving us feeling seen and appreciated. The food is delicious and we will be there soon!
google avatar

Whitney S.

Yelp
So glad I picked this place to go to for my birthday! It was absolutely delicious and eating outside was so beautiful. Loved the lights hung up. The service was excellent. To drink I had a yummy Expresso martini and for food we shared the ahi tune, burrata salad, branzino and the special lobster and pasta.
google avatar

Mike A.

Yelp
Beautiful outside patio. It feels like you are outside of the city. The cocktails were great, and service was impeccable. We shared the burrata as appetizer. It was good, but a bit plain to my taste, not much to accompany it. The mushroom risotto was incredible, it has rich flavors with hearty portions. The branzino was also very nice, it comes with an interesting green sauce and a few veggies on the side.
google avatar

Amasia Y.

Yelp
This place only deserves a one star for its ambiance. Service was okay too. However, the food was garbage 0/10. There was no flavor. Even the Caesar salad was lacking flavor. I will never go back here again. I was so excited to try out this place, it was a huge disappointment.

Preston M.

Yelp
4 Stars - Went here for a date night day after Valentine's Day and it was a great experience! The ambiance was particularly wonderful, with beautiful architecture and lots of pretty lights and plants. A very classy vibe - and the price comes with it too, and while I've had other meals that are more worth it this place comes close. The pappardelle was excellent as was the burrata, and the lamb was cooked to perfection. Also had the flourless chocolate cake desert, which was about as good as it gets. Service was a bit slow but understandable as they were very busy - for good reason!
google avatar

Mina Y.

Yelp
The food was great, but the service was just okay. I had made a reservation for the romantic package, and while we arrived on time, it still wasn't prepared. The restaurant wasn't busy, with only a few tables being served. Considering the price, the service could have been better, as I had to look for the server several times. Again, it wasn't a busy night. But this is one of the cutest places for a romantic date night. Food: 5 stars Romantic: 5 stars Service: 3 stars
google avatar

Grace K.

Yelp
I had high hopes for this place. We arrived around 9:30 pm on a Saturday night, and the patio had three tables seated. It had been on my restaurant list since 2021, and I was excited because the pictures of the lights were beautiful, and they truly were! We were seated right away, but the service was a bit confusing. We were attended to by three different wait staff who didn't seem to communicate with each other to cover our table. As a result, we received water less frequently and never got the beer we ordered. I also ordered an appetizer with burrata and heirloom tomatoes, but instead received a goat cheese and beet salad. We didn't bother mentioning it because the staff only returned after we had finished our other plate of soup. At this point, we considered leaving but decided to stay since we had already ordered our mains. The steak didn't seem worth the $70 price tag, though my partner's pasta was good, just nothing extraordinary. Overall, the prices didn't feel like they matched the quality and service. Additionally, when we went to the bathroom, it was unmaintained, which was disappointing for such a luxury restaurant. We had planned to have dessert, but decided against it in the end. Hopefully, in the future service and food quality but we will not be coming back anytime soon.

Maddy T.

Yelp
First time I went with my father for his birthday about 2 years ago was the most amazing experience. Pasta was $20, service was unprecedented and the ambience was amazing. Came a second time around because of how perfect the food was, specifically the bolognese. Service was attentive as always but everything felt a bit more rushed. On open table I requested an indoor seat which was provided, Thank you! I ordered the vodka penne (pink sauce) which although is not on the menu, was still provided. My friend ordered the tuna tartare which he loved. Portion sizes are great, more than enough for one person. The final bill was laughable. Yes I do understand that it is a "high end" restaurant but $36 for some vodka penne is ridiculous. The cheapest pasta here is $36. Again, quality is great but not for $36. You pay for the ambience and wines but otherwise the markups from last time I came are crazy.

Mauricio Zepeda

Yelp
Reservation was at 9:30 didn't get a table until 11. $700 for an experience you get is not worth it at all. They sat us in a corner where the environment did not match what was advertised in the photos. Food was good but took over an hour to come out Will not be returning.

Yelp
they don't have green chartreuse even though they have a fully stocked bar and the food is so mid. Great Italian food is so easy to come by and they definitely were not show stopping. service was okay, overall this restaurant was not remarkable or outstanding
google avatar

Laurie F.

Yelp
Il Cielo will always have a special place in my heart, because I got married there. Their menu is special, and their service is exceptional. The environment is absolutely beautiful. It's so romantic and inviting. Even when we visit for dinner, we always have an amazing time. Go often and enjoy!

Yelp
After a horrible experience at Il Pastaio, I was nervous to try another upscale Italian restaurant in BH. I was PLEASANTLY surprised. Our waiter was super kind, greeting us upfront, and made us feel so special & took his time to explain which dishes he believed would be best for us and even gave us wine pairing options. He also told us about the history of the restaurant, and was extremely prompt. The food was very filling, served warmly, and was flavorful although I'd love more pine nuts in my pesto next time. We were so full we couldn't order dessert (which is another excuse to come again) The interior OMG it was so gorgeous!!! Took a couple pics from the gorgeous private bar they have and this beautiful wedding cake. The outdoor area is so well lit and is straight out of a fairytale. Would love to host an engagement dinner here. Can't wait to be back for dessert! Not all places in BH have snobby staff :)

V. K.

Yelp
This restaurant will always stay top notch. Nothing has changed over the years!! It's classy, has beautiful interior design, excellent service and amazing food. Everything we ordered from appetizers to entrees and desert was delicious. Would recommend highly and will go back again. You can't be disappointed.

Christine V.

Yelp
I gave this place another shot and had a better time the 2nd time around. Service was much better. We ordered: Il Polipo 4/5 Calamari Fritti 3/5 Bucatini all'Amatriciana 4/5 Bolognese 3/5 Pappardelle al Cinghiale 4/5 Linguini ai Frutti di Mare 4/5 Pappardelle with lobster and Truffles 5/5 TORTELLI DI BURRATA 3/5 Agnello - Roasted Australian Lamb Chops 4/5 Tiramisu 3/5 Panna Cotta 3/5 Be prepared to spend, it's on the pricey side.
google avatar

Alina T.

Yelp
The food was not bad, the waiters were fast, but, unfortunately, there was no birthday greeting for our mother, although the hostess congratulated, but usually it is a compliment in the form of dessert. The atmosphere is pleasant, in general there is no reason to return there a second time!) Although.. Panna cotta was perfect, but tomatoes in burrata salad was suck

Yelp
Love Il Cielo. The outside patio is beautiful and the food is always great. Our visit left nothing to be desired. The staff were very kind and attentive and we will definitely be back. Great date spot!

We had dinner a few nights ok and had an amazing evening. I had called and spoke to Robert on the phone and he was incredibly accommodating. Robert and I discussed a seating preference and he was great. When we arrived I met Robert and thanked him for the accommodation. This is an absolutely beautiful restaurant. It's super romantic and classy. Loved the ambiance and the lighting. Our server was Nino and he was great! He was very patient with us and made great recommendations. The service was perfectly timed and Nino was very attentive without being intrusive. Nino had recommended the Lobster pasta special and it was amazing! We both ordered it and we loved it! As we exited the restaurant, The owner thanked us, which was a nice touch. Just a fabulous evening all around!

Yelp
We came to Il Cielo for a Valentine's Dinner and wow, this spot does not disappoint! I was expecting it to be a spot that focused on ambience more than food but I can say that it delivered on both ends. Starting with the ambience, there isn't a single bad table. Whether you're outside or inside, it's intimate with beautiful lighting and a perfect spot for some romance. For the food, I got the white truffle pasta with maine lobster and this absolutely blew me away! The lobster is so generously portioned and the truffle was light and delicious. We also got the grilled octopus as an appetizer which honestly blew me away. The cocktails were delicious and a perfect pairing with dinner. The servers were so attentive and we even got to chat with the owner who's been carrying recipes from his family in Italy. A spectacular place for a special dinner

Yelp
12/21/2023 Il Cielo was a wonderful birthday dinner experience for me. I booked a very late dinner at 9:30 P.M. after a whole day of spending my birthday at California Disneyland and my dining experience was very nice and intimate. When you go into Il Cielo, you enter into a getaway into a fantasy-like Romanesque restaurant. I forgot that I was in the middle of Beverly Hills as I dined next to a running wall Roman fountain. My server was wonderful and patient as I took a while in choosing my dishes. I chose Antipasto il Cielo as my appetizer which offered a delicious array of cured meats and veggies. Afterwards I ordered a Tagliolini Frutti di Mare for my entree which was a marriage of prawn, clams, and other seafood items. The Tagliolini deserved a chef's kiss. Lastly I ordered a Heart Shaped Chocolate cake which the waiter knew it was my birthday and wrote a birthday message on the tray. The Heart Chocolate Cake was sweet, rich, and decadent which is how I love my chocolate cake. Il Cielo was a wonderful way to end my 33rd birthday celebrations. I would love to dine here again for another special occasion in the near future. Mille Grazie Il Cielo

Yelp
We had our firm holiday luncheon yesterday at Il Cielo. Everything was wonderful. The food and drink were delicious, the service was excellent, the space and ambiance beautiful. Our thanks go to the event team, Marian and Hunter for arranging and overseeing our party and making sure everything went smoothly. It may have been our best party yet! Il Cielo is wonderful for a romantic dinner, a special party, an elegant event or an intimate wedding. Thank you, Il Cielo!

Yelp
This week was our 20th anniversary. My wife and I were looking at lots of options for our anniversary dinner, and Il Cielo seemed like the perfect choice. We're glad we did because it was excellent! The food was delicious, the service amazing, and it's a really romantic atmosphere. I got the wild boar pappardelle pasta and my wife got the grilled branzino. Both were really flavorful, but one of the surprise stars were the side of spinach and the roasted potatoes. They were so delicious!! Then for dessert we shared the dolcetto di limone, which reminded me of a lemon curd and crème brûlée mix... It was really good, but could only eat about half of it. This was a great spot and I'd highly recommend for a romantic dinner or special occasion.

Yelp
We had dinner here last night and had an amazing experience. We ordered the lobster risotto, tagliatelle, soufflé and lemon custard. Leon our server was outstanding. We enjoyed being seated in the beautiful garden and the music! We will definitely be back! Thank you Il Cielo for an amazing evening!

Yelp
$10 for water gets a 1-star. Octopus leg and lobster risotto was good. Pappardelle was watery and overcooked.

Yelp
I've walked by this place so many times, and even ordered from here once or twice, but dining in person felt like a completely different experience from ordering delivery. No, I don't mean the obvious differences, but I feel like the cost of the food almost doubled when I'm at the restaurant. Is it just me? Anyway, we can talk about the good first! The ambiance is so cute with their string lights and outdoor romantic date night, or cute friends night out, feel. The moment I walked in, I thought this would be a perfect place for a small wedding plus reception! (And according to their website, it's possible!) The waiters are super quick to refill your water as well as check in on you every now and then. And the Il Polipo (Charbroiled Octopus, Poached Potato, Spicy Sopressata Vinaigrette Dressing) was also incredible! So tender and flavorful, definitely would order again. The rest of the meal was decent for the price range. We ordered the Tortelli Di Burrata (Tortelli with Tre Colori Sauce-Burrata Cream, Basil Oil, Pesto Sauce), and the Spaghetti Latini (Imported Durum Wheat Spaghetti, Spicy Italian Peppers, Cherry Tomatoes, Garlic Confit). As I mentioned, both of these were good, but for the price, I was hoping to be blown away, and just wasn't. I feel like this place has a lot going for them and the rest of the menu looks really good. I think choosing the least expensive items might have resulted in my less-than-perfect rating, therefore I kept it at a solid 4.
