The 10 Best Italian Restaurants in Fort Lauderdale

This Vito Iacopelli-style pizza is stunning. There’s a crisp edge to the puffed circumference, and a crisp undercarriage, although not micro-thin. (See photo.) Yes the crisp disappears after eight minutes as it sits on the plate, but the exterior edge maintains its crisp— a scientific wonder. Best to arrive in a party of six where each person gets one hot, impossibly crisp slice from a 10 inch pie, and then immediately order the next pie. Rinse, repeat. Salmon dazzles here, along with servers with fluent, elegant Italian— lyrical and nuanced.

EDIT: I went this weekend and even though food was good, the server was rushing me to order. We arrived 20 min after they opened and there were not a lot of people in the restaurant. Why rushing? I feel she had a bad attitude, didn’t check on our table at all. We had to be calling her to order more food as she never checked in. Not a 5 star for me anymore. I love Il Mulino! My favorite Italian restaurant! I went to their Gotcha Sold event and got to know their restaurant and most popular dishes. I recommend their gnocchis or the cremonese pizza.

Visited for the first time, thanks to a dining promo on my credit card, after years of driving by. The food was good, will def return.

The shrimp was rolled in bacon omg soooo good, the salad had apples and mangoes it was like a healthy desert the potatoes were great the steak was well cooked. I always come here, my favorite is the tostones with the sauce! Diego was my waitress he was the best. Very friendly with great energy.

Google
Nice atmosphere. Garlic bread was tasty. A bit crispy which was nice. I had the gnocchi with the pink sauce and blackened chicken. The sauce reminded me of a vodka sauce I’ve had before so it made me curious as to what the vodka sauce tasted like. My friend got the sausage and rigatoni wild mushroom. We also wanted to try the different desserts. We got the bread pudding and tiramisu, the almond basket was the best.

Google
I found so-so. I had a chicken eggplant concoction on pasta. The chicken was a bit chewy, where the pasta was bit overdone. The flavors were nice and the service excellent. Here's a pic of what I brought home.

Incredible title tonight with friends! The service, the food, the ambience was top notch! There are many Italian restaurants in this small community of ours, but Il Mulino pulls out all of the stops! Thank you to the awesome staff!

Google
TLDR: Great atmosphere and okay service ruined by bland and greasy food. Atmosphere: one of the nicest looking restaurants in the area and got our hopes up with how classy it was for the corner Italian restaurant. Service: Okay, cold, and efficient. We didn't feel unwelcome, but the server did not seem to care as much about us as others around. Food: the real disappointment. Look, I'm happy they have a plant-based menu with different options than just salad, but they just were not good. Also, please, if I can get vegan pasta all throughout Italy, you should have at least one vegan pasta option... The bruschetta was okay but nothing to write home about. Bread and tomatoes, with not a lot of flavor but wasn't bad. The Rosa pizza had no sauce and was just loaded with the fake cheese and extra oil that just sludged on the plate. Neither my wife or I could stomach more than one slice. Lastly, the biggest sadness was the risotto. Read my other reviews, I rarely say 'extreme' things. This was by far the worst risotto I've ever had. No flavor, high oil, did not taste like it was made with any care. The rice was gritty and separated rather than creamy with a nice wine sauce. After coming back from a week in Italy, we were hoping for anything that would just compare, but this was worse than the $10 pasta place in an ugly strip mall. As always, I would only give a 2 star a second chance if there was a significant change to the menu. I'm sorry, I really don't like giving below 3 stars, but we just can't recommend it.

Yelp
I was at IL Mulino a couple hours ago the food was fabulous, but I realized I had left my Bose earbuds in the case on the bar area. I called the restaurant, and I was told they didn't find them. I'm very disappointed!!!!

Yelp
Wonderful Il Mulino restaurant of always! This is one of our favorites Italian restaurants in south Florida for many years. We stopped coming after 2015 because we moved up north. We had the opportunity to visit yesterday, and it did not disappoint! Our favorites are the garlic bread (yes, with extra garlic), and the California pizza, made with pesto sauce, sun dried tomatoes, artichokes, shrimps, goat cheese. It hasn't changed a bit, same amazing flavors, texture and quality. We highly recommend it. Don't miss this gem if you are in the area.

Yelp
5/17/24 I can't believe it's been this long since I left a review for Il Mulino. We come here often when we want good Italian food and lovely atmosphere. Vesalina always takes good care of us. The food comes out quickly and piping hot. This evening I chose the pasta special that had shrimp and scallops in a lobster cream sauce. Hubby had to have his go to chicken parmigiana with spaghetti topped with meat sauce. Did I mention all of the pasta is homemade and fabulous! I know you will enjoy Il Mulino as much as we do

Judy C.

Yelp
OMG Il Mulino parking lot was half empty now I know why! They made all meals Ala Carte $30+, servings were skimpy and they never offered bread! My small Caesar salad was $12! Totally disappointed as this was our last night out with family in town from Ohio. My mother- in-laws lasagna didn't seem like it had hardly any cheeses in it. It used to be to be a tall slice of thick lasagna. This was collapsed and as though they had spread it across this large dish, which wasn't even an inch thick! Smallest piece of lasagna we've seen for $30! We had Veal Parmigiana which we loved because it was so crunchy! Service was Terrible, we would have liked some bread but by the time our waitress came back to check on us, we were all done with our meals! Sorry I was too upset to take photos of our meals!

Sam G.

Yelp
Great atmosphere great food, never disappoints, I've come on different occasions at different times and they are consistent, a little pricy but well worth it, the plates are big and the taste is on point everytime.

Yelp
I have lived in Fort Lauderdale 12 years and never eaten at Il Mulino. I've always heard good things about it and wanted to try it so after a show at the Broward Center my friend and I came here for an early dinner. I ordered a fish with vegetables and pasta dish. They came around with Parmesan cheese and I had them add some to my dish. About five minutes into the meal I took a bite and I started chewing and chewing and chewing, thinking it was the hard Parmesan reggiano cheese. Finally after not being able to chew anymore I spit it out and saw a piece of tinsel!! I called the waitress over and she took the dish and went back to the kitchen. She came out and said they wouldn't be charging me for the meal and did I want something else. While the food was tasty and my friend enjoyed her meal I don't think I could ever come back here after this experience. This is a more upscale restaurant. I don't know how a piece of tinsel ends up in a pasta dish

Bill L.

Yelp
Another great meal.at a local family owned business. Right near Ft. Lauderdale Beach with amazing personal service, great food with top notch service Mishell. I highly recommend this place

Nati A.

Yelp
Really love the food here. The service is fantastic. We had a relaxing dinner as well we came when the rush passed and the ambiance was nice. We got their meatballs, Zappa di peace, and the carpaccio. All of which I enjoyed. We ordered take out as well and it came quickly. Their arugula and prosciutto pizza was amazing!!!

Gaby F.

Yelp
The best italian meal I have had in a while. We loved every single dish we ordered. Not much to say about the service but what it might have lacked they made up with the food. The prices were fair, along with the portion sizes. What we tried: Zuppa di pesce 5/5 More than a soup it was a sauce pasta. Not enough words to describe it quality. Short rib risotto 5/5 I can't really tell if this was better than the zuppa di pesce. I would repeat in a heart beat. Four cheese pizza 4/5 The kids quite enjoyed it, including the blue cheese. Ask for it without that one if it is not a favorite as the flavor would come thro Garlic bread 5/5 One of the 'stinkiest' and most delicious garlic rolls I have had lately. Overall, excellent experience. We will definitely be back this coming month.

Carlos C.

Yelp
This restaurant became an instant favorite on our first visit. This is the second time we have lunch here and we pretty much ordered the same dishes we ordered last time except this time I went with the mushroom and steak pizza(very good) instead of the 4 cheese pizza. I also had to repeat the braised short ribs and risotto. I love that they put a lot of green peas in their creamy risotto. My wife is in love with their Zuppa Di Pesce. Place is big, has nice spacious booths, good parking space in the back and nice servers.

Paige G.

Yelp
Quality Italian restaurant located on sunrise boulevard. Very unassuming from the outside. However, don't let its location deter you. All of their pastas are made in house. I ordered the chicken piccata and it was very flavorful and cooked to perfection. They have a very extensive wine list as well. My only complaint is that service was a little slow. My water was often left empty. Overall I would return.

Amy P.

Yelp
Great atmosphere! Ambiance is warm, cozy & inviting. This is a favorite of mine since 2005. Went yesterday on Valentine's Day & was delighted again. I normally hate pre-designated menus but on special holidays, they offer both menus, so you can always order from the regular one. Valentine's menu included: A glass of wine either red or white, appetizer (had the stuffed portobello mushrooms) and dessert and select from the Lobster Pink Sauce linguini or another item that I can't recall right now. They were soooo generous with the lobster. The wine came timely and a good portion, the appetizer was delicious. I love this place

Joe D.

Yelp
5 star ambience 5 star service 4 star food. Terrific ambience despite the busy street out front with fantastic service with good but pricey Italian standards. 5 star ambience Inside it's all mood lighting soft colors and wood. Even with the busy stretch of Sunrise Blvd outside, it seems quiet and there's lots of free parking in back. 5 star service From the front desk to the server to the bartender, everyone here seems helpful and happy...Terrific service all around. 4 star food. The food is good mostly classic Italian, some with new twists. The only real problem is the high price point.

Regina H.

Yelp
Went last night after not being there for over a year and must say things have changed. New menu and what determines charging $19 for a grey goose martini when it tastes the same as when it was $12 or even $14 at one time ? Rigatoni alla vodka was what I ordered and got ziti? The sauce was kind of watery and not bad but not great , clam sauce also no taste - garlic rolls were fantastic and the dessert was good as well as our server . After 20 years of going to what I considered my favorite Italian restaurant I will no longer go as there are too many better restaurants now such as Anthony's Clam House !

Tomas B.

Yelp
I have passed this place hundreds of times in the past 20 years and it is always crowded, the reviews are always outstanding, but until last night I had not been here. Rolled in 645PM and the crowd has not yet gathered. The place is quite large wood décor laid out with all booths and tables seem to be against some wall of some kind. A bit strange but a pretty standard look for this type of establishment. Hostess tells me there is about a 20-minute wait and takes my cell # to text when ready. There are multiple tables open, so I am not sure what is going on, but I digress. We sat with Megan at the bar VERY PLEASANT girl, and we had a couple glasses of wine. Mind you $12.00 for a glass for a bottle I pay $10.00 for is a bit overcharged to me, but it is what it is. 20 minutes pass and we decide to simply eat at the bar. I go to the hostess stand & tell her forget my table and she says I don't even have you on the list. WTH AM I DREAMING? Terrible as If I was waiting this point the place is packed and who knows how that goes. First Megan provided us with the "FAMOURS GARLIC ROLLS". In short, they were OK. Pretty standard South Florida stable of bad bread covered in oil and garlic. The 10-inch margherita pizza ordered well done, unfortunately was simple cheese not the Margherita. I didn't send it back as we were starving at this point. It was NOT well done, and the flavor and texture were about a 7 on the pizza scale. We then split a chicken francaise, with vegetables & potatoes. The chicken was good & fresh, but the sauce was bland & non-descript. The potatoes & vegetables were really good actually. At this point I've had enough. 2 glasses of wine, a diet coke, 10-inch pizza & 1 entrée tax & tip $100.00 I THINK NOT. Not quite sure what all the fuss is about, as this certainly gave me ZERO REASON to return. A very average 3 stars.

Yelp
Service on point. Food is even better. Beautiful clean restaurant and free parking in the lot.

Misha I.

Yelp
If you are looking for classic Italian dishes, done right, in Fort Lauderdale - look no further than Il Mulino. I had the Pesto Calamari Salad Special which had a heaping serving of tender calamari pieces and a delicious pesto sauce with veggies to balance the dish. My colleague had the eggplant parmigiana which came beautifully presented and she said was the best she'd ever had! Our lunch had excellent service and the upscale ambiance only added to the delicious meal. I am looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes!

Shradha A.

Yelp
We ordered for delivery and I can tell you, it's the best simple food I've eaten in recent years. I enjoy the creative twists on pizza toppings and pasta sauces, but comfort food is still a good reliable New York style slice of cheese pizza - with no bells or whistles or bows or glitter. This pizza was amazing and simply perfect. We also ordered chicken Parmesan - which was a huge portion - and came with the simplest and bestest spaghetti in tomato sauce. The noodles were not dried up as most spaghetti tends to be. The sauce was home-style tasty. I am very impressed and can't speak to service or ambiance, but enjoyed our dinner feast for 2 days straight because the quantities are also truly the American-Italian generous portions.

Cat N.

Yelp
i had been wanting to try this place for a while and finally stopped in with a friend. arrived at 8 on a thursday night but the place was pretty empty, to my surprise. there were just a couple tables sat with other parties, seemed like a quiet night. however, our server was high energy and helpful, which made for a fun experience. we started with caesar salads and garlic bread, both of which were perfect and exactly what i expected. at our servers suggestion, i ordered the mahi mahi entree on the specials. it was cooked perfectly, served with spaghetti and vegetables, sun dried tomato, and artichoke hearts. the sauce was light but flavorful, not too salty, just delicious. definitely had to get a desert, which they were kind enough to make for us after the kitchen closed. even though i was full, i ate the entire thing, i couldn't resist. i'm so glad i got to try this place, and i'll keep it on my list of italian spots to dine next time i'm in the mood.

Bianca P.

Yelp
Usually my go to Italian restaurant. But last Saturday night I ordered out a Chicken Parma and 2 other dishes and they were all VERY bland...absolutely no taste. I was shocked. My next craving time, I will go to Cafe Vico or Angelos nearby. They are a bit pricier but more consistent. I hope it was just an off night!

Susanne H.

Yelp
Occasionally while in Fort Lauderdale, we stop in and have dinner. While in the area, we decided to stop here for dinner. Our first inclination that we would not have a fantastic night was that our server was inattentive to our table. We ordered an appetizer, fried calamari, and I guess we should have asked, but it only came with the rings and no tentacles. The restaurant is cutting costs and refusing to be authentic. I did order the baked ziti. I eat baked ziti all over the USA and the world. This, by far, was the worst slop I have ever had. The noodles were way overdone, the sauce had absolutely no flavor, and let's not even talk about how the dish had no flavor. We did order their special, which was supposed to be some pizza dish (I tried to find the name, but I could not). It was so awful that I only ate a few bites. The regular pizza was ok at best, nothing to write home about at all. Based on how the food quality has gone downhill, the server treated us (Or lack thereof), and how the establishment had a non-caring attitude, I cannot see myself returning and giving them our money ever again. Your experience may be better than mine, but we have watched the steady decline of this place through the years.

John B.

Yelp
Enough with blaming COVID and supply chains. The side salad that used to be a few bucks with an entre was $10.00! They threaten you with no substitutions. I have been going there on and off for 20 years from Boca Raton. If I wasn't meeting someone from Miami I would have walked out. OK so food prices are higher. Some lettuce in a bowl for $10.00 is just greedy price gouging. I will never go back, ever!

Angie N.

Yelp
I would rate this restaurant 4/5 . Service was ok but they definitely good improve. They kept messing up on the food order , we asked for linguine but we kept getting Spaghetti instead . The chicken Marsala had a delicious flavor but the chicken was pretty tough . The fried mozzarella was yummy and I liked the Tiramisu was yummy .

Matt W.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I come here every Valentine's Day. 3 years in a row so far! The service this time was outstanding, and the garlic bread was even better. Valentine's Day is usually one of the busiest days here I'm sure, so the ambiance was obviously louder than usual, but was still able to have full conversations and enjoy the meal thoroughly. Parking was plenty as there is a parking lot across the street from the restaurant. Can't wait for our 4th year in a row here!

Cynthia T.

Yelp
The food is great! I ordered the Seafood Anelli and it was fantastic, all of there food is made fresh, it's the best. Cindy

Mah N.

Yelp
Not the best service or food for the price, it's average at best. We went for a celebration, and had high expectations but our entire party was not happy. I won't be back, sorry, but it's the truth. They need to Step up the quality. Everyone's chicken was tough, the eggplant was all bread. Garlic rolls were hard.

Sheena N.

Yelp
Love the ambiance, food and service of this place. Probably the best restaurant we ate at while in Fort Lauderdale! We ordered spaghetti and chicken parm. Our waitress was super attentive and kept checking on us, asking if we wanted more complimentary garlic bread (we were starving!). The garlic bread was amazing! Nice and fluffy. The portion of spaghetti I got was enough for 2 ppl and tasted homemade with a fresh tasty about amount of sauce. Pasta was perfectly al dente. Chicken parm was also huge and very satisfying. Would definitely come here again!

Stacey S.

Yelp
Haven't been here in a few years mainly because of the proximity to where we live, but we were visiting some friends on the east side of town and decided to have dinner here on a Saturday night. They take reservations which I made on the OpenTable app and it was very easy. Party of 4. We arrived a few minutes early for a 7 o'clock reservation and we were seated almost immediately. The lighting and noise level is very comfortable here. After the waitress took our order, she brought out some rolls. Wasn't too impressed with the rolls, as they were on the dry side. We had the fried mozzarella appetizer. It came in 4 triangles which was perfect for our party. The appetizer had no flavor. For entrées we had the shrimp scampi, lasagna, chicken Francese and chicken Marsala. The food was just OK. Nothing jumped out of us where we said wow, this was fabulous. For dessert they brought out a complementary piece of tiramisu for our birthday boy. The rest of us declined dessert. The bill for four with no drinks before tax and tip. was a reasonable $130. Parking in the back is tight but there is street parking available as well. I'm glad to see that this restaurant has been around for as long as it has.

Jon W.

Yelp
We have really enjoyed coming here for several years. The wonderful friendly local service is very inviting. The new Vegan menu has really raised the level of my satisfaction here as well. I seem to always get one of the Vegan pizzas with their home made vegan cheeses. Their home made cashew based cheeses are excellent! I've always appreciated their wine list as well. Pre, post, and during Covid you kept the community fed and your employees working. I'm proud to call you my neighbor!

Lisa D.

Yelp
Walked in late 8:30 , not knowing they closed at 9 we thought they closed 11 Our waitress was exceptional , never felt rushed at all (Liudmyla) she was oh so sweet and so patient with us as we had never been there before We ordered 3 appetizers Lollipop lamb chops Calamari Fried mozzarella All were delicious Then Sautéed spinach And a house salad Also very good Then 5 pasta entrees All fresh home made pasta with fresh home made sauce which was amazing and hard to find , I was so impressed. For dessert we had cannoli and the almond basket , both excellent What a lovely restaurant Thank you for helping to make my birthday dinner wonderful I can't wait to come again

Erin M.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised by the calm, relaxing atmosphere. Complimentary garlic bread was delicious and smothered in warm garlic butter. Meatballs, pizza, and Chicken Parmesan were authentically Italian. Food was delicious and service was excellent. Prices very reasonable. Would highly recommend.

Diana H.

Yelp
Dinner with my daughter and one of my best friends. The ambiance was comfortable in one of his favorite corner booths. The food was outstanding! Absolutely outstanding! OK, we were ravenous from a 6 hour flight in from the West Coast, but what flavor! My Osso Bucco was fabulous and fork tender, fall-of-the-bone in a wonderful sauce! Mmmm! Daughter's Penne Ala Vodka was creamy with big pieces of sausage that she added separately. Unfortunately, the service was less than worthy of the food. Our server would get distracted or would forget and not bring items we required like cheese, and when she brought it she slapped it all over my daughter's plate in a way that made me say "just a bit, please. So, food: 5/5 and service: 3/5.

Nancy H.

Yelp
We came with high expectations. We started with two appetizers the focaccia with whipped ricotta and fried eggplant chips. The bread was not focaccia it looked more like pita and it came with about a tablespoon of ricotta. The eggplants tasted ok but the dips were tasteless The gnocchi tasted like paste. The place was packed so we came with high expectations and it was just horrible.

Donna C.

Yelp
Always excellent food! Great fresh bread and a wonderful assortment of drinks. Couldn't be happier!

Bibi C.

Yelp
I ordered from here because a friend told me they have a buy one get one free pizza special on Uber Eats. NEVER AGAIN. In my 35 years of living I have never opened a pizza box and have seen, not ONE but THREE small roaches scattering inside the box. How is that even possible?! There is clearly an infestation going on, maybe it's the pizza box storage? Maybe it's the actual restaurant, either way I am disgusted and seriously confused and really hope that they have no idea because if they knowingly are serving food out of this place it should be a crime and shut down. Please just skip this place!!!

Jake S.

Yelp
The one in ft Lauderdale is an overpriced crap hole The ambiance is like a diner and the food is mediocre

Kaila R.

Yelp
Delicious. Service was great . Food came out in a timely manner . We order bruschetta, minestrone, & mixed garden salad . The house made garlic rolls were to die for ! Everything was really good. Main courses were Alfredo , bolognese & chicken piccata. Pasta came out al dente ; Just how I like it . Highly recommend. Fast and efficient service very nice ambiance.

Sara M.

Yelp
We went when a company rented out half of the restaurant so i'm remaining neutral on ambiance and service. The food just was not good. I got the lamb chops and they didn't really taste like anything and neither did the pasta my family members got. Over all disappointed. I will not be back

Steven P.

Yelp
Okay, so I'm pretty sure I just experienced the weirdest interaction at your pizza place. I ordered a buy one get one free pizza deal through Uber Eats, but only one pizza ended up in my cart. I have no clue how to the second removed itself bc when you select the Bogo it puts two pizzas in your cart automatically. When I got to the restaurant, the girl at the counter showed me her tablet and said I didn't order it right. I was like, 'Uh, I clicked the button for the deal, what else do you want me to do?' So I asked if she can honor the deal it's the same money. And you're aware of some glitch. But no the girl refused. The pizzas were for myself and some friends across the street. I told my friend you refused to give me a second pizza. So he called to see if he could get it bc he's ordered many times from you. Your manager refused. But reluctantly ended up giving in. When I arrived to pick it up the boy behind the counter smirked at me as what I presume was the manger who began interrogating me. Demanding to know what business I'm from. She apparently thought I worked across the street. She kept asking for my manager's contact information and even wanted my business card. I'm like, 'Lady, I'm just trying to get my free pizza here, i already told you I don't work anywhere around here. I don't have a manager.' I mean, seriously, what kind of pizza place asks for a customer's business card and their customers manager. And why do you even need my manager's contact information? Are you going to send them a memo about how I didn't order my pizza correctly? It was just a glitch in the app, but I guess your manager was too busy arguing with me to actually just say "here's your pizza sorry for the confusion" like a normal business So yeah, I'm pretty disappointed in the service I received. But the pizza was delicious as always. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Emil M.

Yelp
First time dining, but have driven past it for years. Although right on a busy Sunrise Blvd, there's great parking behind the restaurant. Extensive menu with some great choices. I would describe it as cozy, with a small bar. Great service, great food, great wine list. I'll be back!

May L.

Yelp
This is my first time coming to Il Mulino and for Valentine's Day, all I wanted was some quality homemade pasta. We both got that and a lot more. I ordered Fettuccini Alfredo and my fiancé ordered Filetto (cheese tortellini with steak wrapped in a pizza crust). We both loved our dishes tremendously and would come back here again in a heartbeat. Our server and host was extremely kind. The host ensured that we had a table that we wanted (by the window). Loved our experience here!

Michael C.

Yelp
Have not been there lately because it's on the other side of the county but I've been there in the past and it's always been a pleasant night out. Can't remember what I/we ate but my experiences have always been positive!!!

Michele G.

Yelp
In all fairness this was a door dash order- Caesar salad came with what tasted like a creamy Italian ( and I eat Caesar salads frequently) The fried calamari was super dry and inedible..and def not fresh or flash fried .. I spent 49.00 ( including the tip and fee for door dasher ) for a Salad with chicken and the fried calamari .. and have never been so disappointed in a meal.I would love to ask the kitchen how they can send something out that appeared this way

Joe R.

Yelp
We haven't been here for a few years, so we were really looking forward to this trip. Garlic rolls were cold and hard; caprese salad was wilted; shrimp was overcooked, but the calamari was perfect. Interior has been remodeled and is a beautiful ambiance Quality was definitely off. We had loved this place so we will give it another try again.

Eldarbek K.

Yelp
Pescotora pizza flavors were decent, but it lacked that special something to make it truly memorable. The toppings were satisfactory, but the overall execution fell short, resulting in an underwhelming pizza experience. The minestrone soup lacked depth of flavor and seemed lacking in seasoning. Moving on to the signature dish, the Filetto, I was disappointed. Despite the promising combination of beef tenderloin, mozzarella cheese, onion, porcini mushrooms, and sausage sauce, the dish fell short in execution. The flavors didn't harmonize as well as anticipated, and the dish lacked the wow factor I was hoping for. That being said, it's worth noting that taste preferences can vary, and others may have different experiences or preferences when it comes to these dishes. Despite these shortcomings, there were some positive aspects worth mentioning. The service was attentive, and the staff members were courteous and knowledgeable about the menu.

George B.

Yelp
Our old reliable place for Sunday lunch. Nice ambience, excellent service and reliably good food.

Martin G.

Yelp
I was a professional server for 40 years and have been to this restaurant on and off for about 20 years and it had been a while as my go-to Italian restaurants have usually been Cafe Vico and/or Big Louie's for different reasons. I started as a waiter in 1956 at Picciolo's on Miami Beach and got first-rate training from Sam & Dorothy and their sons Vincent and Don. Over the next 4 decades I worked at many restaurants ranging from the 4 Seasons in NYC to delis and coffee shops here. The reason for all this is just to explain that I do not like to write negative reviews but with restaurant prices going higher (and portions smaller) service is more important than usual. I will excuse most servers for whatever happens as I know it is usually NOT their fault BUT.... I have NEVER been in any Italian restaurant where garlic rolls and/or bread weren't part of the service, especially when having pasta! Sorry, when asking for them don't tell me 'we don't serve garlic rolls unless a customer asks for them'--as a server YOU ask the customer if they would like some. Also, a server within 2-5 minutes of serving a main course, should approach the party and ask how everything is. I had to call the server over to be told about not, automatically, being served garlic rolls. I could get into more but a good server would have made the poor food we got, maybe, less of a problem! It could have been all my fault but even with bad service I won't leave less than a 20% tip and a server will think they did a good job! A $60 lunch for 2 main courses plus 2 non-alcoholic drinks, including tax and tip deserves at least one garlic roll, doesn't it?

Yelp
Il Mulino used to be on my list of must go restaurants in Florida but not anymore. Sorry to say everything was not as good as in past times. My daughter said the salad was as if they opened the bag of salad from the supermarket. no special ingredients and the homemade dressing was awful. The garlic knots were not as good as in past times. we will look for other places from now on.

Yelp
Well we went to this tiny place in Doral thinking we were going for a big treat!! It's beautiful inside and on the water too. Service was ok but Not one employee besides the valet guy spoke English. It was super frustrating to order. Appetizers were nice and the wine was good. Entrees we're good size but no veggies other than salads. Chicken looked like manufactured chicken all the same sizes. It was edible but flavorless and due to the wine I had not other option but to eat it. The ink and shrimp pasta was very good!!

Yelp
Love Il Mulino. Pricey but great food service and ambience. It won't disappoint. Highly recommend
