The 17 Best Restaurants In Carmel

"Carmel is full of downright charming restaurants that make us feel like we’re in a European village, but Il Tegamino takes the crown. You’ll find this Southern Italian spot in the Court of the Golden Bough—and yes, it’s as cute as it sounds. Just follow the cobblestones past the Cottage of Sweets along Ocean Avenue to find your prize. While the teeny-tiny dining room is a lively experience, we recommend the patio—the twinkling lights and open air create a more spacious and romantic atmosphere. Brothers from Naples opened this place, and they deliver hearty, comforting dishes inspired by their hometown, like a ragú napoletano starring a slow-cooked sauce made with short rib, pork, and sausage." - allison green, clara hogan

We got there early for our reservation and the staff was just amazing. Food fresh and delicious. The bread and zucchini in oil is a must. Fresh made pastas perfectly done! We are so happy we chose this restaurant for our visit . Don’t miss out on the seafood linguine!! Perfect finish with the tiramisu!

Google
Felt and tasted like we transported to Italy for the evening. So authentic and romantic. We got the zucchini & bread appetizer, the ravioli and the pasta with short rib. For desert, we devoured the cheesecake. Everything was superb. I wish I would have remembered to take a picture but we did spend 20 min at Carmel Beach right before dinner and I highly recommend that too!

Google
Fig ravioli was phenomenal, the ragu was rich and tangy. The eggplant ravioli was unique and flavorful. The seafood pasta was good as well but I would certainly recommend the ravioli instead. The place is cute and intimate. The staff is friendly but take your time as the staff is small - dinner takes a bit here. Nice outdoor seating. Very fresh shrimp!

Google
one of the best italian restaurants i’ve been to. biggest reason being they use just enough salt to flavor their dishes. not obnoxious & the food felt light but filling. all three dishes we ordered were splendid! the waitress was also very kind and professional. i usually never leave reviews, but because the food was so delightful, i needed to spread the word! some cons—the dishes took a bit of time to come out. outside patio was ok, some flies were flying around but surprisingly did not swarm our food at all. but the food makes up for this! also, if youre struggling to find a restaurant without a long wait time, i would recommend here because they barely had any wait time (i think it was slightly past 6pm when we went) most likely due to the slightly hidden location. all in all—highly recommend!

Google
It was an amazing food experience. Originally from the east coast, so I am often not happy with west coast Italian, but this was one of the best meals I have ever had. My wife and I both ordered the cannelloni and it was amazing. The mixture of flavors in every bite was fantastic. If I came again, I would order that because it was a game changer. They serve wine by the glass that’s 12-16 dollars. My wife and I got a Barbera and a montepulciano and they were both delicious. Seemed like a really good value for the quality of wine. For desert we got tiramisu and limoncello de torta. The tiramisu was good, but not great. The limoncello was super tasty, but powerful so it would be hard to eat by yourself. Overall the best Italian I have found in California.

Google
They were so sweet to my family and my little dog. We ate outside because it was nice out and the scenery was really calm, closed & hidden anyway. There are warmers out for us. The risotto was so good I can’t forget it. The dishes we had were a perfect size and filling. They also took the effort to communicate in Spanish to my dad. We felt really welcomed and were left with a positive experience.

We came here on a late evening on Valentine's day. My husband made a reservation at another venue but their service was so terrible we just had to leave. We weren't quite sure if we could get seated at Il Tegamino. They seemed crowded but the hostess was so gracious and found a table in their courtyard with a little bit of wait. From the hostess to the waiters and servers, everyone here is super friendly and caring. Our pasta dish and seafood special was flavorful and delicious. Their signature zucchini dip is out of this world. I wish they would bottle that up and sell it! We enjoyed our meal so much and were happy with how this evening turned out.

Google
This is arguably one of the best if not, the best restaurant I have dined in in the US. The place is quite hidden (which adds to the charm) and to be clear, it is expensive. However, if you are looking for European dining experience and high quality food, this is the place and, hey, you pay the price. The host is very agreeable, the waitress very nice. The restaurant is small, beautifully decorated and cozy. This is NOT an eatery!! This is for you ONLY if you know how to take time to appreciate good cuisine!! Highly recommended!!

Yelp
We started with the burrata and the zucchini appetizers, both of which were absolutely amazing. For my main course, I had the linguine alla pescatora, and it was fantastic! There was a generous amount of seafood, which I really appreciated. My boyfriend ordered the Cannelloni maiale e funghi and he loved it as well! The wine selection was great too, and we decided on a bottle of Pinot Grigio, which paired perfectly with our meal. The service was wonderful -- our server was attentive, friendly, and made our experience even more enjoyable. We came at 7:30 on a Sunday night and there was only a few other people there so it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Highly recommend this place!

Yelp
Quick, friendly and attentive service and good quality Italian food in a relaxed environment. We weren't starving so we split the Piemontese salad (Caesar) and the Paccheri Ragu, plus one of us had a class of Montepulciano. Not sure if the brothers who run the restaurant were there - I didn't feel the authentic Italian feel from the staff serving us. I would say it was a good Italian meal and a decent experience overall but nothing amazing.

Yelp
Great food, ambiance and service. We ate at Il Tegamino to celebrate our wedding anniversary and are so glad that we did. If you didn't know about this restaurant it could easily be missed as it's tucked away behind the Main Street within a plaza. Since we had our dogs with us we booked a patio table which had an outdoor heat lamp so it wasn't too cold. From the beginning of our meal the service was great from start to finish. We ordered the arugula salad, seafood linguine and the special cannolini pasta and enjoyed all the dishes. Salad was fresh and tossed with just the right amount of vinaigrette , seafood linguine had a generous portion of seafood and the cannolini pasta, even though it had bechamel sauce and meat wasn't too heavy. At the end of the meal we were stuffed but our server was so nice and gave us complimentary dessert to celebrate our anniversary. Adding this to our Carmel list to come back again!

Yelp
Amazing meal! Service, atmosphere, and food were all delightful. We loved everything we ordered, especially the bread and zucchini appetizer. We would go back in a heartbeat. It's busy, so I'd recommend reservations. Everything we ordered and saw was impressive. Definitely try them out!

Yelp
Made a reservation here for a Wednesday night and sat on the patio. Overall, a lovely experience! Food - 5 Service - 4 Ambiance - 3.5 We started with the arancini which I actually thought would be much bigger. But, it's 5 small balls. It was, however, very delicious! We both also got a glass of the Montepulciano and highly recommend. The food is outstanding. My husband ordered the cannelloni stuffed with short rib and I had the branzino which was on special. Both delicious! Service here is very good, but suggesting a few minor tweaks to enhance the experience. Giuseppe was wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable and of course....Italian. My favorite part. He checked on us a good amount and overall was great. His counterpart, a Hispanic man who was also waiting tables near him, stopped over a couple of times nearing the end of our meals and was asking questions as if to rush us along. I mean, it's a Wednesday night, not busy and they weren't hurting for tables. Let us chill. The cobblestone is also uneven which made our chairs and table very wobbly the entire time, so we had to hold our wine basically the whole time. That was a little annoying. The ambiance overall isn't anything special and they should have plugged in the lights around the trees!!! We ended with the limoncello cake which I could eat for the rest of my days and be perfectly happy. Light, zippy and divine! I would return, but maybe sit inside for a different vibe.

Yelp
Despite being overpriced due to its location, this restaurant serves some of the most authentic and delicious pasta dishes that I have had in the US. Only in Italy have I had more delicious pasta dishes than they serve here. I ordered their nightly special pasta, which had prosciutto, peas, and tortellini in a cheese sauce. It was heavenly. My boyfriend got the ragu, and it was also delicious. The pasta was al dente and the sauces were full of flavor. The service was great and the ambience is very fancy and romantic. This is a perfect spot for a date night if you want to splurge on delicious Italian food.
google avatar

Leola T.

Yelp
The T bone steak here is absolutely massive and full of rich beefy flavor. The meat is cooked exactly how I ordered and is perfectly juicy. The side of roasted vegetables is a nice, light addition. It is definitely worth the price.

Yelp
The food... Ragu Neapolitano was excellent. Really like it when the chef makes time to pull up a chair with the patrons and answer questions about preparation and ingredients. Superb service and warm ambiance. We'll be back for sure.

Yelp
What a wonderful Italian restaurant. We had a large party and when we saw the place we thought "no way" to handle it. Wrong! A table was set in a courtyard surrounded by heaters for comfort. Our server was amazing. No detail was missed. Food flavors were amazing. The The PARMIGIANA DI ZUCCHINE is an amazing appetizer. The LASAGNA had meatballs in the sauce and was so tasty. Reservations are a must. It's worth it.

Vincenzo B.

Yelp
The pasta was great and the service was good as well. It's caramel and everything is expensive but $39 for tube pasta is a bit much.

Yelp
This is my love letter to Il Tegamino: I don't know how things usually go for 7pm on Sunday for dinner availability at restaurants in Carmel, but our table for two was able to be seated inside right away without a reservation. Call it luck, or maybe karma -- but after a minor car crash earlier in the day -- there were no other two people in this world that needed the comfort of authentic Italian food more than us. Carmel is arguably the cutest town ever and Il Tegamino is the cutest nook in Carmel - nestled in a little nook off of the south side of Ocean Ave between Lincoln and Monte Verde. We went directly from watching the sunset on the beach, walked a few blocks up Ocean Ave and voila -- there Il Tegamino was. They have a lovely courtyard outdoor seating area with twinkle lights and heaters. This whole area outside is dog-friendly and I just wish I could bring my dog here!! The inside is cozy, and you feel more like you're at a dinner party in Italy. The staff is so friendly, attentive, and funny! The owner goes around talking with everyone- with a thick Italian accent-- recommending dishes, serving freshly grated cheese and pepper, and overall just making everyone feel welcome . You can really tell that he loves what he does and puts so much heart and soul into this restaurant. Now for the food.... We started off with the burrata caprese and their bread basket. Yes, we know better than to fill up on bread before your meal but we just couldn't help ourselves. We finished the entire bread basket and the crostinis that came with the burrata caprese before our entrees got to our table. For entrees we ordered the brasato di agnello, a braised lamb shank on top of risotto. I gotta say, I think this was my favorite dish of the meal. The risotto really complimented the rich and gamey (in a good way) lamb so well. The paccheri al ragu napoletano-- which is their take on a ragu with pappardelle. The ragu was a mix of short rib and pork sausage -- you can just tell that this baby was slow cooked for hours. The way that the sauce gripped onto the pasta-- I know it's fresh but it also reminded me of when you have leftover pasta the next day. From the food, ambiance, service and everything in between- Il Tegamino will forever hold a special place in my heart. If it took being rear-ended in an expensive rental car to have found this place - it would have been worth it. I'll be dreaming about this meal and my whole experience at Il Tegamino for the rest of time.

Yelp
I had been hearing rave reviews about Il Tegamino for years and finally decided to see what all the hype was about. Suffice to say, the hype is well deserved and I will certainly be returning again! Service: Solid! Our waitor was friendly and attentive though some guests may have found him to be over the top. I personally think he's playing a bit of a part and if you get him, just consider it to be dinner and a show. Food/Wine: The food is what makes Il Tegamino really stand out and I can safely say this is some of the best Italian food I've ever had! I ordered the Lasagna and I think my wife had the Ravioli. Textures and flavors were all perfect, and the portions were pretty generous considering some of the other entree portions I've been served in Carmel "Buy the Sea" ; ) The wine list was decent and as I recall there were California wines available but we made the mistake of getting a recommended Italian wine. No body, no balance, no flavor and slightly acidic. I know some people prefer old world wines but they're imported (obviously) so they cost twice as much and I have yet to drink one that could hold a torch to a decent California red. Do yourself a favor and just order something local. Ambiance: Very spot on for the cozy Italian restaurant vibe you would expect. Soft lighting and appropriate decor in a comfortable seat made for a great place to enjoy some amazing food! I suppose the tables were a little small but maybe that's part of the charm.

Yelp
If you are looking for very average non authentic italian food, this is your place. Service and ambiance was good.

Yelp
As a Carmel semi-local (here several weekends out of the year) this is my favorite restaurant in Carmel. It's near the bottom of town, so close to a lot of the inns if people are visiting, or close to the beach, and it's outdoor area is covered and heated by lamps, so even if the fog or rain roll in - you're good! We made a reservation for 5:15 tonight and it was perfect. Brought our 13 month old (who had a blast). They accommodated our outdoor request and gave us a table with plenty of room for our stroller. We got the smoked mozzarella appetizer and bread basket (smoked Gouda was unreal - if you love cheese, this is the best) to start. Then got the gnocchi special (as a double order since it's technically a starter) and the seafood carbonara. Both were delicious. We only realized about halfway through eating that we should document so we could write a review, so pardon our partially consumed meals . We finished with an espresso, cappuccino, and the chocolate hazelnut donuts. My husband didn't even let me try to donuts, they were THAT good. We love this place. I'm pescatarian and I could eat half of the menu - something that doesn't usually happen at Italian restaurants. Great for the family, good wine selection, accommodating, and multiple servers checked in on us throughout the night. Can't wait to return!

Alex H.

Yelp
The food was pretty decent here, and it's also reasonably priced for Carmel. Mostly outdoor seating which isn't the most ideal but overall a good find.
google avatar

Jennifer Y.

Yelp
La Vita è Bella! Comfort Italian food at its best. Twinkling patio, snuggly inside; romantic it is. Great service with welcoming 'va bene' heard every few seconds! For dinner, not to be missed is their house specialty,*Parmigiana Di Zucchine*; falling off the bone, absolutely delicious was their "Lamb Shank"; and, sumptuously creamy "Lemon Panna Cotta"! CHEERS!
google avatar

Angela W.

Yelp
I love this restaurant! I come to Carmel twice a year and I always make sure I come here for dinner. The service is always great. They are very polite and attentive. My favorite items are the balsamic zucchini dip with a bread basket and the Easter lasagna. It's delicious! I also like the outdoor seating so I can bring my pups and have plenty of space.
google avatar

Nick O.

Yelp
A lovely little Italian restaurant with great pasta dishes and desserts! Our server was quite nice and very helpful. Can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Anita D.

Yelp
We tried this restaurant last night and loved it! My husband had the Napoleon pasta and I had a cream sauce fettuccine with peas and pork sausage that was a special. The food was excellent! I docked a star because it was pretty pricey ($40 per pasta plus they charged $3 for the hot water without letting us know there is a charge for that). Additionally, the hostess was a bit rude because we had a reservation and asked if we could sit inside, but she said no. The couple that came right after us didn't have a reservation, but seemed to be regulars, and she gave them a table inside. Other than that, the owner was wonderful and the food was great!
google avatar

Marisa M.

Yelp
Amazing restaurant and service. We had a large party and sat outside under multiple heaters. Everyone raved about their dishes, including Easter lasagne, ragu, fig ravioli & the seafood pasta. The food was delicious and such a fun experience.
google avatar

Kristy A.

Yelp
Highly recommend this hidden gem. Atmosphere -5star Food - 5 star Service - 5 star We had the smoked mozzarella appetizer. With no expectation this was so so good! Husband and I both ordered the ragu. This dish didn't disappoint. For dessert I ordered the affogato. Ugh, I left so full and happy. We will be back!! Ps. The owner sang happy birthday to the table next to us in Italian.
google avatar

Yelp
3.5! This place is tiny with a nice ambience. The outdoor area is super cute but indoor can get pretty loud. The service was good. Our waiter was attentive but we almost felt rushed. He was fun but a bit too loud, specially for such small space. The food was good but not amazing. There is so much good food in Carmel I wouldn't go back here. And the food was expensive for the portion & quality. - Piemontese (Caesar salad): it was pretty standard. Good flavor & amount of dressing. Anchovies are always fun. - Paccheri Al Ragu Napoletano: The flavors were good, I enjoyed eating the pasta. But it wasn't mind blowing specially for $37. - Pork Saltimbocca: Underwhelming & overpriced. The flavors were just ok, very average. For $25 we would have been very happy. The portion was ok not generous. The potatoes were crispy & nice. - Tiramisu: It felt rather dry & cakey, it was missing the moist & rich flavors of espresso, rum & the cheese. We wouldn't go back here with so many great options in this town.

Nessa R.

Yelp
We decided to go here for dinner on our trip to Carmel but we're a little disappointed with the food and the service. The smoked mozzarella special wasn't a good recommendation and I didn't really eat much of it. The seafood dish was alright. I felt like our servers weren't very friendly and weren't really attentive after realizing we weren't going to have wine or dessert or anything else so they just stopped coming to our table. It wasn't a very welcoming attitude.
google avatar

Brennan E.

Yelp
One of the best italian places we've been to! The burrata and mozzarella dish both had so many toppings on it that made it perfect! It is definitely worth the money. The service was pretty quick and the outdoor seating was perfect because of the heaters!

Giovanni Z.

Yelp
5/5, 10/10, 100/100. The most like dining in Italy I have experienced since being there. The Mrs. and I shared the seafood carbonara and Brasato, both fantastic. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Carmel. Wine list has some affordable options for the area which is always a big plus. Can't recommend more
google avatar

James Y.

Yelp
Came here for dinner after exploring 17 mile drive. Great romantic lighting/ambiance, and everything we tried (daily fish, bread with zucchini dip, carbonara gourmet) was phenomenal. Service was speedy and it's pretty easy to get a server's attention if needed. Highly recommend for a date night!! The inside seats about 20 people and the outside area looks pretty cozy as well.

Julia C.

Yelp
Quaint, good service, flawlessly executed food. This has become our favorite spot in town. Melanzane, greens, fish special, lamb with risotto, and ragu pasta (gluten free substitute)...all incredible. The ragu was the best I've ever had, the perfect balance of tomato and meat. Go here!!!
google avatar

Susan K.

Yelp
While the food was all delicious, the seating felt a bit cramped. Nonetheless, every dish we had tasted amazing. Prices were a bit high and portions were a bit small which is why I didn't give 5 stars.
google avatar

Glenda G.

Yelp
I sit here at Il Tegamino enjoying the beautiful crisp weather, my tummy filled with delicious food, all while listening to the vintage Italian music. I feel transported through time. Everything was absolutely delicious here. We started with the bread service ( which was plenty by the way) alongside with some olive oil and balsamic. We then moved to antipasta of burrata caprese which was tasty but I wish it had more balsamic. The Arancini was crispy perfection! Our main entree was the Ravioli di campagna- ravioli with tomato sauce heaven. To complete our meal we had the Bomboloni al cioccolato for dessert. The bomboloni was my least favorite. I would choose tiramisu or another dessert next time.
google avatar

Vladi C.

Yelp
It's quite rare for my wife to sit through an entire 4 to 5 course meal but at this restaurant, we felt the need to enjoy the full experience. The caprece and narrate with smoked mozzarella was oh so delicious. For the main entree my wife had the fig ravioli which was a unique and very delicious dish (highly recommend). I had the beef ragu which was very filling, bold tomato flavor, and perfectly cooked beef. To top it all off we had the Bambolini with cappuccinos. Their coffee is very good! The overall ambience made us feel like we were in the heart of Rome. From the owner of himself entertaining his guests and sharing in detail about the menu, to the tight space within the restaurant, it shouted "authentic Italian cuisine". Very happy with us to try something new tonight!

Molly V.

Yelp
This is a place I have been wanting to try for years. The food is good, with excellent pastas. I felt like the fried arancini was not very exciting, the squash blossoms were ok, and both served with the same red sauce - mix it up guys . We ate outside and it felt a little barren. It had the potential to be more charming, but needed some better lighting, music, etc. The service was excellent and prompt. In all, I would go back for the homemade pasta!

Darla S.

Yelp
This small restaurant has outdoor seating with heaters, in door seating that is cozy and food that yook me to Italy! Thank you for accomodating my dairy allergy and having an extensive wine list!

Yelp
Oh my gosh - I cannot even say how much we loved Il Tegamino. My mom turned 89 and we wanted to take her out to a nice dinner. All she wanted was Linguine and Clams. We chose Il Tegamino not knowing anything about the place other than it was Italian. My grandparents owned an Italian restaurant for my entire life in Pennsylvania. To say that I was thrown back to those times as I walked in was an understatement. They have a small dining area, which was so comfortable and quaint, there are two outside patios - a small one in the front and a large one in the back. It is surround with beautiful plants and trees. And the kitchen - two men were working back there getting plates out in a very timely manner. Two of our party had the Linguine alla Pescatora which was FILLED with seafood and absolutely delicious. The Paccheri al Ragu Napoletano was outstanding as well. I am very averse to ever getting red sauce outside of my house of my families, as no one ever cooks the sauce long enough. Not here - it was some of the best red sauce I have ever had. For me - I had the Brasato di Agnello - it was an incredibly tender lamb shank over a very tasty risotto. Do NOT miss the Burrata Caprese - I don't know how the made the zucchini dipping sauce, but I have never tasted something like that...or maybe the dipping sauce came with the bread. Either way - make sure you get some. We decided to get dessert, but the icing on THAT cake was the dessert they brought to my mom complete with Happy Birthday in Italian - Buono Compleano. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Romantic Italian restaurant in the heart of downtown Carmel. We came late at night on a Friday 30 minutes before closing and were seated immediately. The service was amazing, with everyone checking in on us to make sure we weren't too cold (they moved extra heaters near us) and happy with the food! The dishes all have amazing flavor and are large enough to leave you super full. The restaurant is tucked away in the back of a little nook, so make sure you go all the way in to find it!
google avatar

Susan C.

Yelp
Best in Carmel by the sea for all food and by far best Italian. The service is great too.
google avatar

Anne L.

Yelp
Loved this Italian restaurant in Carmel by the Sea! The food was absolutely delectable and the ambiance of the restaurant was intimate and cozy. Great place for date night! The service was also great as all the staff are welcoming and go above and beyond. I would recommend making a reservation as there is limited seating in the restaurant.
google avatar

Yelp
*drooling* as I write this. This place is incredible. INCREDIBLE. They do a fantastic job at pretty much everything, a fried eggplant olive oil dip with bread to start, a mouth watering fresh salad to continue and finally a pasta that makes you feel like you're in Italy. It's a bit tucked away, but if you can find it, you're in for a treat! Thanks Il Tegamino!
google avatar

Justin H.

Yelp
Highly recommend. Authentic and very fresh. Service was excellent. Our favorite was the tiramisu.

Yelp
We had a fantastic meal here! It's a bit tucked in so not visible right off the street, but we had a reservation after scoping it out on Yelp. We were seated inside which was a little cramped - if the weather is nice and you're willing to sit outside by the heat lamps, you'd have more space. We ordered the arugula salad and mozzarella stuffed squash blossoms to start. Both were delicious! The arugula salad was nicely dressed and the squash blossoms had a very flavorful sauce for dipping. I couldn't decide between the seafood linguine dish or the carbonara, but our waiter (who I think may be one of the owners) suggested the linguine. The seafood was plentiful and the sauce was fantastic. My partner got the ragú and he was very happy. We enjoyed wine with our meal and ended with the perfect something sweet - a lemon and blueberry panna cotta. You could taste the lemon zest! The waiter had also forgotten to charge my partner's second glass of wine, but when we told him, he added the wine to the bill and gave us both some dessert wine, which we thought was kind. We left stuffed and happy.

Yelp
It's this hidden restaurant and I love that even though the inside is tiny, the ambience is pretty nice. We loved how the owner talked to us and was super friendly and proud of his authentic Italian food. So we wanted to love it. The food that came out looked amazing and the owner has boasted this was the most authentic place. The food was good but not extraordinary. The plates were absolutely beautiful but the taste profile wasn't for us and we usually love Italian.

Yelp
Would have given 3 stars if not for the arrogance. Had an overpriced and shockingly overwhelming dinner here tonight. My mom and I both ordered the fish special ("lightly" breaded sand dab). It was so over breaded and over fried it was inedible, honestly borderline filet o'fish status. The woman behind us ordered the same thing, had the same thought, but complained to the waiter about it. My husband overheard the waiter telling the head chef, who got pissy and said "that's bullshit, the fish is perfect." They also were "out of basil" for the pesto sauce because that day's pesto didn't look good, but there was still brown basil on our burrata. I have had a great dinner here before, but wouldn't risk it again after tonight. Our waiter Josh was great.

Rama S.

Yelp
I ordered fish of the day. It was stale and tasteless! I only ate a few bites and took it with me gave it to my dog and even he rejected it! My wife ordered a smoked mozzarella appetizer that she did not care for. Upon explaining it to the waiter, he took it away abruptly without saying a word and sent someone else to service us, who was actually very nice. Overall, it is on the expensive side, but the quality does not justify the cost.! I'm not going back. Too many better places in Carmel Addition: and now 2 hrs later, I am suffering from terrible stomach issues. Surely it was the fish! I will be calling public health department on Monday. This restaurant needs a scrutiny.

Yelp
Incredible dinner! I had been wanting to try Il Tegamino for a while, and finally got a chance to on Saturday night. Make a reservation in advance! I booked over a week in advance and a 5:30 slot was the only one available. We sat in the cutest little courtyard, which is slightly tricky to find, but SO charming - perfect for a date. After ordering wine, our server quickly brought us complimentary bread with zucchini dip, which was delicious. We ordered a few appetizers to share between the four of us - the Burrata Caprese (absolutely unreal! a must-have), the Polpette Trio (great meatballs, all beef which is rare), and the Sautéed Octopus (very good but least impressive of the three). Our server listed a bunch of specials, including the Asiago Fig Ravioli, which my mom and I both ordered. Unfortunately, he didn't mention that it comes with prosciutto on top (we don't eat pork), but we were able to easily pick it off. Otherwise, the ravioli was amazing! My boyfriend absolutely loved his Ragu Napoletano and my dad said the Manzo Ubriaco was delicious, as well. For dessert, we shared the Torta al Limoncello and the Panna Cotta al Limonee Mirtilli. Both were very good but we all agreed that the Panna Cotta was better - don't skip this! We also ordered some Limoncello digestifs, but these were a little strange, since the bottle was kept in the freezer (had almost a slushy texture). But overall, I would come back here in a heartbeat!

Yelp
What an amazing place! The food was phenomenal, takes me right back to Italy. I felt so good after eating, and we ate a lot!! The staff were so amazing and kind. They took the time to explain the menu to us, make recommendations, and provided us with an amazing experience. We will be back!!

Yelp
We made reservations and this place is tucked in the back of business's on downtown. Room is small like most businesses co-owner was the server, and was polite and courteous. We ordered the variety bread which came out warm with oil and balsamic vinegar. It was so good. We also ordered the mozzarella buffalo cheese, and it was delicious with sauce. I ordered the steak and salad. The steak was dry but the salad was fresh and green. My wife ordered the tortellini and it was heavenly. It was so cheesy and creamy. The lights were romantic. Price is up there.

Yelp
A MUST-EAT! Authentic, home style yet modern Italian cuisine. Beautiful garden seating hidden away where you are transported to Italy. From the burrata to the fig ravioli and seafood pasta to the dessert. Every dish was a delight. Service was warm, friendly and inviting.

Yelp
The food was good. Salvatore-- the owner's brother-- was very attentive, friendly, and kind. He made us very welcomed. He let us try some other wine on top of the wines we ordered. My family and I were having late dinner, and the restaurant wasn't that busy-- I think this is why Salvatore might have been so hospitable. We will definitely go back.

Yelp
Instead of a greeting.. we just received stares. We arrived at 5:05 and the gentleman that was there barely acknowledged us and did not seem eager to greet us or seat us. Good customer service is clearly lacking at this establishment. They must be extremely well off financially that not every customer matters.
