Pretend You’re in Barbie Land at These 13 Houston Restaurants and Bars

"Bring your favorite pals to this transformed Heights bungalow. The cocktail lounge, which is dripping in bright colors and floral decorations, pours up eye-catching drinks like the vodka-based Pink Flamingo, which is presented in playful glassware for single bargoers or for parties of six to eight guests to share. Share small plates like oysters, pizza, and tuna tartar before digging into dessert. The Berry Cute cheesecake concoction, a blend of white chocolate and tangy raspberries, is a true treat." - Brittany Britto Garley

Incanto - Review - Greater Heights - Houston - The Infatuation

"Incanto is a colorful cocktail bar in the Greater Heights area. The bar has a pink flamingo cocktail served out of, what else, a giant pink flamingo punch bowl, as well as snacks like pear and gorgonzola pizza, as well as tuna tartare." - Gianni Greene

This is such a fantastic neighborhood restaurant/bar! Their cocktails are beautifully crafted and the food was delicious. We tried the pizzas, ceviche and cheese board. Service and atmosphere were great and I look forward to going back soon!

I recently had the pleasure of hosting the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA) Houston Gives Back event at Incanto, and I can confidently say it was a fantastic experience. Incanto’s team went above and beyond to accommodate our group of 25+ women, who gathered to network and support a great cause—collecting toys for children at a local outreach center. A huge thank you to the owner, who not only provided a welcoming atmosphere but also generously donated gifts for our raffle. The bartender crafted delicious and creative drinks that were a hit with everyone, and his positive, accommodating attitude made the event even more enjoyable. The staff was attentive throughout the evening, ensuring that everything ran smoothly. As for the food, the boards and truffle popcorn were absolute fan favorites—such a great touch that kept everyone satisfied as we mingled. I would highly recommend Incanto for any occasion, whether you're looking for a spot to unwind during happy hour, meet friends, or host a professional gathering. The ambiance is perfect for both casual and business settings, and the happy hour specials are definitely worth checking out. They also have indoor and outdoor seating to meet everyone’s needs. Thank you, Incanto, for hosting such a memorable evening! I'll certainly be back.

Google
This is a cool spot for drinks. It's a small bar with a cozy feel and a few outdoor tables too. It would be a great date spot or meet up for a small group of friends. They also have Pizza! But we didn't try it that day. It's worth a stop, especially if you live in the Heights.

We didn't stay long enough to order food. We couldn't get out of there quickly enough. There was no clear sign of where parking was. We pulled into the driveway, which was blocked by a cone to turn around. In the process, the valet attendant came out (finally). He said that only valet parking was available. He reeked of Marijuana, and later, when we received our car, it, too, reeked of his stale marijuana. We walked into the bar to what seemed like 2 separate groups intermingling. Mommy & me group, and old Margaritaville boys. Super loud. Mommy's baby strollers were parked right in the walkway. Baby carriers were on top of tables. Mommy was slugging back shot after shot (not) daddy was buying for them. Children were running amok. Mind you, it's not a big bar. The bartender was overwhelmed and clearly didn't know when the appropriate time was to maybe stop serving the group. It's cute. They did a good job with their IG aesthetics and getting people in the door. The drinks weren't bad, but the experience was very low-class.

Google
Super cute but very tiny little place with friendly helpful servers. The menu drinks were interesting and we asked for a vodka tonic which was great. It’s cute inside and out. We had to sit outside though because inside was so incredibly loud with voices.

I want to thank George, team and of course Eddie for the stellar attention during our Healthcare Businesswomen Association’s happy hour and give back event. I appreciated the service and kindness shown to our close to 30 attendees! The cocktails, food, and price points were spot on!! We will for sure come back!

Google
Another Heights hidden gem. First off they have valet parking which saves you time trying to find neighborhood street parking. Very cozy and intimate vibe. All of our food and drinks were delicious and our server was very attentive.

Google
Very cute place. Perfect for girls night out or date night. They did an awesome job converting this house into a beautiful bar. Lots of IG spots. The couple of drinks we had were delicious, including the disco ball drink. We only hopped in for drinks so didn't get a chance to try food. Service was great. Everyone was kind and accommodating.

Yelp
The service was great got there when they first opened and parked in the back of the facility. I did see a sign later that it was valet parking so just fyi not sure if that is a everyday thing. We tried the cheese board and pretzel both were honestly great to be honest.

Yelp
This place looked awesome online so we were super excited to try it. We made a reservation at 6 pm, and when we arrived there was a lane for valet. We waited in the lane and called the restaurant to make sure we were in the right spot. They told us to stay here, and after 10 minutes we were informed there were no more spots, so we had to park 8 minutes away and walk. Nonetheless, we arrived, only to find out there was no table for our reservation and they have no availability to seat us, only outside. We sit outside and order drinks at 6:30. 30 minutes go by and no word. I ask the waiter and she says there is only one bar tender and she has no clue the progress of our drinks. During HAPPY HOUR they only have one bartender? Moral of the story, just because it looks cool online does not mean it's worth a trip. This would be one of those places. Do better!!

Yelp
Great neighborhood bar, with great food, cocktails and service. Very cute interior and patio vibes. Staff is very friendly and hospitable. Def will be back.

Yelp
This cocktail bar is an unassuming house in the heights area. It can be easy to spot and the entrance is a bit narrow. There's limited parking in the back so you may have to do street parking and walk. There's patio seating and indoor seating. This place isn't ideal for large group unless you get lucky! There was one table that could accommodate my group of 8! The pizza was the perfect thing to snack on while sipping on cocktails. The dough was nice and soft. My group ended up getting 3 margherita pizzas and 1 creama e funghi. I was feeling a little mixed about the drinks. I ordered a snow angel but was disappointed to find that it tastes like candle. I tried my friends' drinks as well. The gin and tonic was probably smoked using wood chips, but that's all you can smell when trying to take a sip. It was too overwhelming. Bubbly feeling was good but you don't taste much of the cognac, mostly the champagne. I did like the espresso martini and pimms cup! You can go wrong with an espresso martini.

Yelp
Dined in on a Friday at 9 pm with reservations for 6 and was seated immediately. Definitely not a place for big parties. Parking is scarce. Service was great. We ordered: Tuna tartar: tuna was dry and had no flavor, the fried crisps in top were addicting Peston Rockefeller oysters: very good, surprised it was East coast oysters Charcuterie board: sad meat and cheese selections, the garlic butter toasts was the best Crema e funghi: cheesy mushroom goodness Several cocktails: some were too sweet, their cognac and tequila choices are limited, overall very creative concoctions That's nuts: the description sounded good but it came out very dry and tasteless

Yelp
Such high hopes but the service at this place was so atrocious, it's just sad. The owner needs to know how bad it is, as they should immediately look to rectify their investment. Unfriendly staff, 55 minutes wait for anyone to come to our table, another 25 minutes for drinks....and they weren't even busy. Parking sucks too. So many better options in the heights, don't waste your time !

Yelp
Had an amazing outing at Incanto!! The martinis were strong and delicious! The hamachi and pizza were the perfect pair with the drinks! Our server was very kind and friendly. He always offered suggestions! It was pleasant evening!!

Yelp
I loved this place, the service was incredible, the pizza with broccolini and beef sauce was really good, the the cocktails was awesome...all of this in a such a nice place, quiet and really good for to have a nice date or just go with friends

Yelp
This is a cute little bar in the Heights that is great for a pre or post-dinner drink. You definitely might miss it if you are not paying attention since it is a little bungalow type building with only a small driveway and there is a small neon sign with the name on it. Once you pull in, there is complimentary valet. Inside, there are cozy chairs and small circular tables which are great for a date night or for a very small group of friends. The music was pretty good but it also was not very loud which makes this a great spot to have conversations over a delicious cocktail. The servers were great, they checked on us often and were helpful while we were trying to decide on drinks. We also go the charcuterie board which was pretty good, but I would not come here for the food. The drinks were delicious and I would definitely be back for the cocktails. I will warn that if you modify any of the drinks, you cannot send it back, which is totally fair, but make sure you know what you're doing if you make any modifications.

Yelp
I came to try this place with my husband and two other friends. We had a couple of celebratory things happening so wanted a place with drinks and food. This place looked interesting from a quick search that was central. We stopped by on a weekday and right when happy hour started. Service was quick. The server was also helpful in explaining what was what on the menu. For drinks, I got the Thyme After Thyme, which was really refreshing and not so sweet. The Paradisco was my next drink. It was beautifully arranged in a disco cup. This one was a bit too heavy on the pineapple juice. It didn't really feel like I had something different/unique. For food, we thought pizza would be best for sharing. We got the Magherita and Crema de Funghi pizzas. Magherita has the classic taste. The mushroom one was really flavorful and was the crowd favorite. Also, the crust was really good. It tasted like a brick oven pizza to me. However, the food is not filling. I did end up going elsewhere after to get more food. Ambience wise, the place felt like dining at someone's house in the Heights - Small sit in option arrangements and dim lighting. There is also a spot in the front that is very Instagrammable. I do think it was a good idea to go early to get parking in the back. It's not very big so spots do fill up. Otherwise, I think you'll have to resort to street parking. In addition the exit out of the lot has a steep dip. I had a bike rack on my car and did scratch it getting out so fyi. Overall, positive. Would recommend as a hang out/catch up place for drinks and snacks.

Yelp
It's a little inconspicuous house with a large outdoor patio, they have tvs with sports on. Inside, gorgeously decorated, plenty of seating and a nice bar. It's a nice upscale feel, fancy drinks, a decent food menu filled with pizzas, charcuterie boards, and other items. They have a holiday drink menu. I opted for a seasonal drink, it had gin, egg white and something else but it was very tasty. The service was great, friendly. I will return for good vibes.

Yelp
My friend and I came this evening for the happy hour from 4-6 pm. All drinks on the menu were half off and so we both got the Paradisco. The drink was AMAZING!! Also the bartenders were really nice and attentive, the interior decor was cute too, and I loved the music that was playing. This place had such a great vibe. I will definitely be back to try more cocktails and maybe even try their food!

Yelp
TLDR: It's a vibe, not a restaurant. Come for the drinks and to hangout, eat somewhere else! Visit: Weekend Service: 5.6/10 One server was helpfully cheerful and did her best given the packed house. The other... about the most zombified, expressionless, lackadaisical employee you could experience. Drinks: 7.6/10 My GF and her friends were satisfied with their drinks and enjoyed the ambience. Food: 3.2/10 We decided to order a snack for the table and opted for the mushroom pizza... it was a flaccid, bland, overpriced piece of basic. Easily overshadowed by a $2 Totino's party pizza. Oof.

Yelp
First place I came while visiting Houston. Located in the heart of the Heights! A lot of these bars/ restaurants are houses which i love! This place reminds me of Alice in wonderland with the c different color chairs they have for each table! The drinks are super fun looking but OMGEE!! What stole the show was the Estate Pizza! It's a MUST TRY Parking: small parking lot in the back but park at your own risk as it's a very tight space. Valet is an option and of course street parking if you can find any. Will def come here again!

Yelp
My partner and I love this place. We've been here three times in the past two months! My favorite drink is the snow angel. It's so creamy and not too too sweet. It's the perfect combination of cinnamon and vanilla. This drink is unfortunately only part of their holiday menu so it won't be back until the end of the year. My partner had the Rosalina and it was such a good refreshing, sweet, citrusy drink. The service is impeccable. The bartenders are always so happy when people walk in and they make great conversation. The ambiance is very cute. It's sexy, but also mature, while still maintaining coziness. I love love love this place.

Yelp
Cute, quaint bungalow in the Heights. Free valet parking ... it's almost hidden if you don't know it's there ... pull into the driveway and they'll get you parked. Specialty, hand-crafted cocktails. Also, dog friendly pa

Yelp
Cute little bar. Very interesting drinks, everyone had fun picking out a new one to try. The atmosphere is low light, loud chatter, could be good place for a loud date night or friends gathering. Not for a large group though (if sitting inside) as all the tables were filled by 10pm, people were being turned away at the door due to lack of space. Valet only from what we could find, which is a bummer, but that's the heights MO. I had The Berry Cute cheese cake which was ok, looks cuter than it was tasty. Not worth the calories as they say. I've heard the pizzas are great, so may go back to try those. The ambience was nice, waitress attentive, I'd go again to have a (loud) date night.

Yelp
Honestly, One of the worst experiences of my dining life here in Houston. The worst drinks and customer service. Parking is a nightmare mare. Bartenders don't know what drinks they have. Please save your money.

Yelp
My experience at Incanto was good. The drinks were really good especially the Snow angel and the martini! The staff was very attentive and personable. This space is small and intimate yet gorgeous! The parking is limited so if you go for Happy Hour you have to get there early! They do offer valet I was told. If you are looking for pretty cocktails that are also delicious...try them out

Yelp
This place is great! Amazing drinks and really good Pizzas. Parking is tough as you would expect (no surprise: it's the Heights). We are the Estate Pizza and was a nice alternative to the usual fare as a White pizza with a pesto base and topped with peaches and creamy Burrata and Blue Cheese

Yelp
The Heights never disappoints and neither did Incanto. It's such a wonderful spot, with a bright and brilliant color décor. The energy, ambiance, music and drinks are enthralling. A special note of THANKS and APPRECIATION to Mia and Chris for their exceptional customer service on Sunday afternoon. They truly made our experience at Incanto very enjoyable! If you are looking for a nice restaurant/bar for Happy Hour or Dinner, I strongly recommend Incanto. Great vibes, drinks, food, music and EXECPTIONAL customer service, what more could you ask for.

Yelp
Your heights type of bar. Laid back with an edge, valet parking in the back. They have food but I came for the drinks, the espresso was too strong for my taste but it was more espresso rather than creamy. Brie was our waitress she was attentive and super personable.

Yelp
They've only been open for a couple of weeks, so they're still finding a rhythm. Happy hour half price drinks is a great deal. I got The Godfather and my date had a Paper Plane. Both cocktails were balanced and tasty. There were plenty on menu that I was curious to try. Service was good and friendly. Vibe is trying to be cool, but I am a sucker for it, so I'm gonna say it was good. We got the raw oysters and the ceviche for bites. I didn't think the oysters were a good value at $18/half dozen. The fixins were tasty, but I probably won't them again. The ceviche felt a little pricey at $20 for 5 pieces of fish, BUT I would definitely get it again. Good balance of flavors and textures.

Yelp
Great happy hour spot in The Heights! This place is relatively new to the neighborhood and is certainly a nice addition. During happy hour, all cocktails, beer, and glasses of wine are half off. Most cocktails are $14-$16 so very affordable at happy hour! The bartender was kind and the drinks were tasty. Only downfalls of the bar are limited parking and small interior. The interior was cozy but I found the decor to be rather cheap/tacky. Regardless, it's a nice spot for a drink!

Yelp
Stay for the drinks, pass on the food. My husband and I came for happy hour. Parking is tight so we ended up finding street parking a block of two down. The ambiance is great and drinks are wonderful. The food was a huge miss in my opinion. We ordered the tuna tartare and charcuterie board. Not sure if it was an off night in the kitchen but the tuna was on par with airport sushi and the board was good but bread very stale. Overall I'd still come back with friends and go be it another shot but hopefully food improves and they hire more wait staff, our poor waitress was the only one working for a very full place on Friday.

Aly S.

Yelp
I came here with my girlfriends and had an absolute great time! Drinks were great and came quick, food was delicious and our server was very attentive. Love the ambiance, very cute and cozy spot! Loved the patio! The manager, Dani, made sure our expectations were met. Definitely will be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Service was really good and staff was incredible. The oysters were delicious and the wine recommended paired very well. The only thing I would add it's some gluten free option instead of crackers.

Yelp
Cool place with a cool vibe. Drinks and appetizers were fantastic, and our server was friendly.

Yelp
Lots of options and nice space for eating doing work or just having a coffee. I usually get an iced flat white and it's amazing.

Olina S.

Yelp
Love love love . Had an amazing girls night on the patio . The atmosphere was incredible and they had great service . And the food and drinks were amazing . Definitely coming back !

Selena S.

Yelp
This place is cute and very small, but the drinks were very bad. My friend had to send her drinks back and they still charged her for them. The only drink that was drinkable was not good. The service was negligent, they take forever to acknowledge or assist you. I will say that when they did assist us they were polite, none of the servers or bartenders seem to know about cocktails. The menu is a disaster. The restroom smelled really bad, it was filthly. If you want to take a cute cluttered selfie and waste money on a terrible so called cocktail this is the place otherwise save your money and go to heights & co. around the corner. The manager was also very rude on our way out when my friend expressed our bad expierience. Def, worst cocktail bar we have ever been too, will be reviewing on tik tok to ensure no one else has this terrible experience. Not Incanto at all more like Desastre.

Dianne D.

Yelp
Great place. Food a bit pricey, BUT the service is top notch! I recommend this place.

Mason V.

Yelp
Had a great time, the place was super cool and intimate. The music was good, gorillaz was a popular on the soundtrack. Ask for Brandon for great drinks.
